You have selected a high-quality product. The oper­ating instructions are a constituent of this product. They contain important information about safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions. Use this product only as described and only for the specifi ed areas of application. Please also pass these operating instructions on to any future owner(s).
Proper use
This appliance in intended exclusively for heating in domestic households. It is not suitable for commercial or industrial applications.

DANGER - RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Connect the oil radiator only to correctly installed and earthed
mains sockets. Ensure that the voltage supplied through the mains socket tallies completely with the details given on the appliance rating plate.
Do not kink or crush the power cable.To disconnect, always remove the plug itself from the mains
power socket, do not pull on the power cable.
Never touch the oil radiator, the power cable or the plug with
wet hands.
Do not use extension cables.Under no circumstances should the appliance be submersed in
liquids or liquids be allowed to penetrate the housing. Do not expose the appliance to moisture and do not use it outdoors. There is the risk of electrocution. If liquid gets into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket immediately and have it repaired by a qualifi ed technician.

Under no circumstances should the oil radiator be used in the
vicinity of water, for example in a bath, shower, washbasin or in humid cellar rooms. The proximity of water is hazardous, even if the appliance is switched off .
In the event of malfunctions and before you clean the appliance,
remove the plug from the mains power socket.
To avoid risks, have defective plugs and/or power cables
replaced immediately by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer Service Department.

DANGER - RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
This heating appliance has been fi lled with a specifi c volume of
special oil. If the appliance is damaged or leaks oil then it should no longer be used. Have the appliance checked and/or repaired by qualifi ed technicians if necessary.
Do not open the appliance housing or attempt to repair the appli-
ance yourself. Doing so can lead to risks and also invalidates the warranty. Defective appliances should be repaired by authorized personnel only.
Never place the appliance in the direct vicinity of heat sources
and protect the power cable from damage.
Do not place water-fi lled receptacles, e.g. fl ower vases, on the
appliance.
WARNING - RISK OF FIRE!
Never place the appliance close to combustible materials,
liquids or gases. Ensure there is least one metre of space on all sides and above the appliance.
Never leave the oil radiator unattended if it is switched on.ALWAYS position the appliance on a level and heat-resistant
surface.
Do not place any open fi re sources, such as candles, on the
appliance.
Warning: to avoid overheating, never cover the oil radiator!
Clean it at regular intervals.Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote
control system to operate the appliance.
Do not set up the appliance below the mains power socket.

Route the power cable in such a way that no one can tread on
it or trip over it.
Do not use extension cables. In an emergency the plug must be
quickly and easily accessible.
Children younger than three years old should be kept away
from the appliance unless they are constantly monitored.
Children older than 3 and younger 8 years of age may only
switch the appliance on and off if they are supervised or in­structed in the safe use of the appliance and have understood the resulting dangers, provided that the appliance is located or installed in its normal operating position.
Children older than 3 and younger than 8 years of age may
not plug in, regulate or clean the appliance and may not carry out user maintenance tasks.
Caution – some parts of the product may be very hot and
cause burns.
Be particularly careful when children and vulnerable persons are
present.

This appliance may be used by children aged 8 over and by
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks. Children must not use the appliance as a plaything. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

with the appliance.

Assembly

1) Remove the oil radiator and all components from the box and remove all packaging materials.
2) Place the oil radiator, with the base uppermost, on a soft surface, for example a carpet.
3) Place a mounting bracket 8 under the heater element so that the threaded parts project upwards.
4) Lay a roller rail 9 over it, such that the screw threads protrude through the holes. Check to ensure that the recesses on the roller rails 9 are facing outwards. The screw ends project­ing from the appliance must reach into the recesses.
5) Screw one wing nut 0 hand tight onto each of the threaded ends of the mounting bracket 8.
6) Proceed in the same manner with the other side.
7) Turn the appliance over and place it on the rollers.
Initial operation
1) Unwind all of the power cable from the power cable retainer 7.
NOTE
Ensure that the thermostat 3 and the heat
vel switch 2 are standing at MIN resp. 0.

2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
3) Set the heat level switch 2 to “III” and the thermostat 3 to MAX. The “Power” control lamp 1 illuminates.
NOTE
You can use the heat level switch 2 to r
late how quickly the appliance warms up. If you wish to heat it up particularly quickly, select heat level "III", if a slow warming up is preferred, select heat level "I". Using the thermostat 3 you can set it to the desired temperature.
4) When the desired room temperature has been reached, slowly turn the thermostat 3 back down until a quiet “click” is heard and the “Power” control lamp 1 goes out. The current room temperature will now be retained. The “Power” control lamp 1 will light up occasion- ally then switch back off after a short while. This merely means that the programmed room temperature has fallen below this level for a short period and the appliance has warmed itself back up.
NOTE
If you want to heat a room up particularly
, you can also activate the heating fan
quickly switch 4. When the fan heater is switched ON, the heating fan control lamp 4 illumi- nates and hot air is blown through the hot air outlet 5 into the room.
5) If you wish to switch the appliance off , fi rst set the heating fan switch 4 to OFF so that the heating fan control lamp 4 goes out. Next, turn the heat level switch to 2 to “0” and then the thermostat 3 to MIN.
6) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.

Frost protection function

You can set the oil-fi lled radiator so that it automati­cally switches on and heats up when the room temperature falls to about 5°C:
1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
2) Set the heat level switch 2 to “I”, “II” or “III”, and the thermostat 3 to MIN.
The oil radiator will now switch itself on if the tem­perature falls to about 5°C. As soon as the room temperature rises to above about 5°C, the oil radiator switches itself off automatically.
Fan heater
You can use the oil radiator as a heating fan:
1) Insert the power plug into a mainswall socket.
2) Switch the heating fan switch 4 to on, so that the heating fan control lamp 4 illuminates. Hot air will now come out of the heating fan outlet 5 into the room.
3) To switch the heating fan off , place the heating fan switch 4 to OFF. The red heating fan indicator lamp 4 goes out.
Cleaning and care

Storage

Never dispose of the appliance
in the normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations for the disposal of used oil. Please contact your waste disposal centre if you are in any doubt.
NOTE
The guidelines regarding the scrapping of
the appliance must be follo local recycling facility.

manufacturing faults, not for tr age, parts subject to wear and tear or for damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches.
This appliance is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty is deemed void if this product has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse or modifi cations which were not carried out by one of our authorised service centres.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs made under the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking, or no later than two days after the date of purchase.
Repairs made after expiry of the warranty period are chargeable.
