► Connect the oil radiator only to correctly installed and earthed
mains sockets. Ensure that the voltage supplied through the mains
socket tallies completely with the details given on the appliance
rating plate.
► Do not kink or crush the power cable.
► To disconnect, always remove the plug itself from the mains
power socket, do not pull on the power cable.
► Never touch the oil radiator, the power cable or the plug with
wet hands.
► Do not use extension cables.
► Under no circumstances should the appliance be submersed in
liquids or liquids be allowed to penetrate the housing. Do not
expose the appliance to moisture and do not use it outdoors.
There is the risk of electrocution. If liquid gets into the housing,
disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket immediately
and have it repaired by a qualifi ed technician.

Assembly

1) Remove the oil radiator and all components from
the box and remove all packaging materials.
2) Place the oil radiator, with the base uppermost,
on a soft surface, for example a carpet.
3) Place a mounting bracket 8 under the heater
element so that the threaded parts project
upwards.
4) Lay a roller rail 9 over it, such that the screw
threads protrude through the holes. Check to
ensure that the recesses on the roller rails 9
are facing outwards. The screw ends projecting from the appliance must reach into the
recesses.
5) Screw one wing nut 0 hand tight onto each of
the threaded ends of the mounting bracket 8.
6) Proceed in the same manner with the other side.
7) Turn the appliance over and place it on the rollers.
Initial operation
1) Unwind all of the power cable from the power
cable retainer 7.
NOTE
► Ensure that the thermostat 3 and the heat
vel switch 2 are standing at MIN resp. 0.

2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
3) Set the heat level switch 2 to “III” and the
thermostat 3 to MAX. The “Power” control
lamp 1 illuminates.
NOTE
► You can use the heat level switch 2 to r
late how quickly the appliance warms up.
If you wish to heat it up particularly quickly,
select heat level "III", if a slow warming up is
preferred, select heat level "I".
Using the thermostat 3 you can set it to the
desired temperature.
4) When the desired room temperature has been
reached, slowly turn the thermostat 3 back
down until a quiet “click” is heard and the
“Power” control lamp 1 goes out. The current
room temperature will now be retained. The
“Power” control lamp 1 will light up occasion-
ally then switch back off after a short while.
This merely means that the programmed room
temperature has fallen below this level for a
short period and the appliance has warmed
itself back up.
NOTE
► If you want to heat a room up particularly
, you can also activate the heating fan
quickly
switch 4. When the fan heater is switched
ON, the heating fan control lamp 4 illumi-
nates and hot air is blown through the hot air
outlet 5 into the room.
5) If you wish to switch the appliance off , fi rst set the
heating fan switch 4 to OFF so that the heating
fan control lamp 4 goes out. Next, turn the
heat level switch to 2 to “0” and then the
thermostat 3 to MIN.
6) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.

Frost protection function

You can set the oil-fi lled radiator so that it automatically switches on and heats up when the room
temperature falls to about 5°C:
1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
2) Set the heat level switch 2 to “I”, “II” or “III”,
and the thermostat 3 to MIN.
The oil radiator will now switch itself on if the temperature falls to about 5°C. As soon as the room
temperature rises to above about 5°C, the oil
radiator switches itself off automatically.
Fan heater
You can use the oil radiator as a heating fan:
1) Insert the power plug into a mainswall socket.
2) Switch the heating fan switch 4 to on, so that
the heating fan control lamp 4 illuminates.
Hot air will now come out of the heating fan
outlet 5 into the room.
3) To switch the heating fan off , place the heating
fan switch 4 to OFF.
The red heating fan indicator lamp 4 goes out.
