Congratulations on the purchase of your new device. You have selected a high-quality product. These operating instructions are a con-

stituent part of your SAB 160 B2 Bluetooth as the device) and provide important information on the intended use, safety, installation and connection as well as operation of the device.

The operating instructions must be kept near to the device at all times. They are to be read and their content is to be applied by all those working on the installation, servicing and repair of the device.

Keep these operating instructions in a safe place and pass them on to any future owner together with the device.

Intended use

This device is intended only for reception of FM/AM radio stations as well as for the playback of audio and MP3 CDs, MP3 ﬁ les from USB data media and SD/MMC memory cards as well as audio signals from external audio devices. In addition, you can pair the device with a Bluetooth mobile phone and use the device as a hands-free set with the microphone unit The device is intended for installation into a vehicle. It is not intended for any other use or use beyond that speciﬁ ed.

Safety

In this section, you will ﬁ nd important safety instructions for using the device. The device complies with the statutory safety regulations. However, incorrect use

can result in injury and material damage.

Basic safety guidelines

To ensure safe operation of the device, follow the safety guidelines set out below

■ Prior to use, check the device for visible external damage. Do not operate a

device that has been damaged or dropped.

■ If the cables or connections are damaged, have them replaced by an author-

ised specialist or the Customer Service department.

■ People who are incapable of using the device safely due to their physical,

intellectual or motor abilities may only use it whilst under the supervision or direction of a responsible person

■ Do not allow children to use the device unless they are being supervised.

■ All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by the

Customer Service department. Improper repairs can pose signiﬁ cant risks to the user. It will also invalidate any warranty claim.

■ Repairs to the device during the warranty period may only be carried out by

a customer service department authorised by the manufacturer. Otherwise no additional warranty claims can be considered for subsequent damage.

■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement

parts. Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if original replacement parts are used.

■ Protect the device from penetration by moisture and liquids.

operation.

► Only remove or attach the control panel when the vehicle is stationary. ► Set the volume to a moderate level so that the sirens of police vehicles, ﬁ re

Installation

WARNING

Damage may be caused when installing the device

► If possible, have the device installed by a qualiﬁ ed technician. ► If you wish to install the device yourself, follow the instructions for connection

and installation for safe, fault-free use of the device. Incorrect installation can

result in a ﬁ re hazard!

CAUTION

Using incorrect connections can cause damage to the device.

► Use the device's ISO connections when installing the device. Any vehicle-

speciﬁ c ISO adapters you may require can be sourced from a specialist

workshop, a local dealer or a general store's technical department. Using

other connector types voids the warranty.

NOTE

Ensure that a permanent plus connection is applied to the station memory

of connector 4 in ISO Block A

► In some vehicle models, the default assignment of connectors [4] and [7] in

ISO Block A are interchanged at the factory. If this is the case, the station memory can be lost. To remedy this, connectors 7 (ignition positive) and 4 (permanent plus) in ISO Block A must be swapped. To do this, connect the supplied adapter cable 42 between the ISO-Block A on the car stereo and the car wiring harness. Use the adapter cable to connect the red wire of the ISO plug to the green wire in the ISO socket, and the yellow wire of the ISO plug to the red wire in the ISO socket (see also back fold-out page)

CAUTION

When using the adapter cable for the ISO Block A, both connections (red

and yellow wires) must be connected together. Otherwise there is a risk of a short circuit!

Aerial control voltage connection

CAUTION

Possible damage to the device

► Never load the aerial control voltage with the motor power cable or other

power consumers.

The connector for the aerial control voltage is available for a relay-controlled aerial. The relay then automatically extends the aerial out when the device is switched on. When switched oﬀ , the aerial retracts back in. This connector can also be used to control an external ampliﬁ er. For exact connector information, please consult the operating instructions for the ampliﬁ er.

Installation

The device can be installed into any standard ISO mounting bay. In the event that your vehicle does not have an ISO mounting bay, contact your local specialist workshop, local dealer or the technical department of a general store.

NOTE

Before installation ensure that you remove the two transport securing

screws on the top of the housing (marked with a red sticker)!

► Connect the cables before ﬁ nally installing the device. Ensure that these

are plugged in properly and that the system works correctly.

Installation instructions

■ Install the device in the bay provided or select the installation location so

that all buttons can be reached easily without the driver being impeded.

■ Only connect the device to a properly installed 12V car battery.

■ Only connect up the device within the vehicle using the ISO plugs.

■ Install the device in such a way as to prevent heat build-up and so that the

device is adequately ventilated.

■ To avoid malfunctions, the installation angle should be less than 30°.

■ Do not install the device where it is subjected to high temperatures (i.e. direct

sunlight or heating vents), heavy contamination or strong vibrations.

■ Should modiﬁ cations to the vehicle be necessary, contact your vehicle dealer

or specialist workshop.

Installing the device into the ISO bay

♦ Pull the installation bracket 39 and the bezel frame 38 from the device's

housing. Use the supplied key 40 (see also chapter "Removing the device").

♦ Place the installation bracket into the ISO mounting bay. ♦ Bend the tabs on the installation bracket with a screwdriver so that the

bracket is ﬁ xed ﬁ rmly into the mounting bay (see diagram).

♦ Check to ensure the bracket is securely ﬁ xed. ♦ Connect the ISO socket block of the device to the two ISO plugs on your

vehicle.

♦ Connect the cable from the vehicle aerial to the aerial socket 32 on the

device. Any vehicle-speciﬁ c ISO adapters you may require can be sourced

from a specialist workshop, a local dealer or a general store's technical

department.

♦ Feed the microphone unit cable into the mounting duct and connect it to the

microphone unit socket

♦ If required, connect the audio cinch cable of an external ampliﬁ er to the

material to the engine ﬁ rewall of the vehicle.

CAUTION

Possible damage to the cable

► To avoid damage, keep an eye on the position of the cables when sliding

the device into the bay. Damaged cables can cause a ﬁ re hazard!

♦ Carefully push the device into the installation bracket 39 until it locks into

place.

♦ After all connections have been made, activate the RESET button 23 with

a ballpoint pen or other pointed object.

♦ Attach the control panel as described in "Installing the control panel". ♦ Finally put on the bezel frame 38.

Removing the device

To remove the installed device, proceed as follows:

♦ Remove the bezel frame. ♦ Insert the right and left keys 40 into their respective slots on the sides of the

device. Ensure that the elevations on the spanners are facing outwards (the

tabs have now been bent back).

♦ Pull the device out.

Initial operation

Control panel

You can remove the control panel from your device as an anti-theft measure. Do not keep the control panel in your vehicle after removal.

NOTE

When the control panel is not inserted into the frame, the theft protection

►

LED 21 on the device blinks.

► Always keep the control panel in its case 37 to protect it.

Attaching the control panel

♦ First push the left-hand side of the control

panel into the frame, and angle it around

15° upwards.

♦ Then ﬁ rmly press the right side until it locks

into place.

♦ Then ﬂ ip the control panel upwards until it

locks into place.

Check to ensure that the control panel is ﬁ tted correctly and is securely connected to the main device. Not installing the control panel correctly can result in malfunctions when using the device.

Removing the control panel

♦ Press the button to release the control

panel. The control panel tilts automatically

forward.

♦ Incline the control panel around 15° upwards

and push it to the left. First pull the right-hand

side away, then the left-hand side.

Handling and operation

This section provides you with important information on handling and using the device.

NOTE

If no setting is conﬁ gured and/or no button pushed within about 5 seconds,

►

the device returns to its previous operating mode. Changed settings are saved.

Switching on and oﬀ

♦ Press the / button 19 brieﬂ y to switch the device on. The WELCOME

display 6 is shown.

♦ To switch oﬀ , press and hold the / button until the notice GOOD BYE

appears on the display.

Device reset (RESET)

To reset the device to its factory default settings, press the RESET button 23 with a pointed object, such as a pen.

NOTE

►

To access the RESET button, the control panel must be completely removed (see also Section "Removing the control panel").

► If a reset does not correct the fault, please contact our Service department

(contact information see guarantee card).

Reset the device:

▯ when using it for the ﬁ rst time, ▯ after connecting the cables, ▯ if not all function buttons are working, ▯ if an error message is shown on the display, ▯ if there is an obvious malfunction in the device.

Settings

WARNING

Excessive volume can cause hearing damage!

Setting the volume too high can result in permanent hearing damage.

► Set the volume to moderate levels only.

Volume

♦ Turn the multi-controller 3 to set the volume.

Loudness

♦ Hold down the MD/LD button 5 to switch the loudness function on or oﬀ .

LOUD ON or LOUD OFF appears on the display.

Switching mute on and oﬀ

♦ Press the / button 19 to switch the sound oﬀ . "MUTE" ﬂ ashes on the

display.

♦ Press the / button again to turn the sound on again. Muting is can-

celled when receiving a PTY or TA station or if you change station or source.

Setting the operating mode

♦ Press the MD/LD button 5 to switch between radio reception (frequency

indicator), CD/MP3 operation (CD PLAY), USB connection (USB PLAY), memory

slot (SD PLAY), audio streaming (BT MUSIC or A2DP) and audio input (AUX).

NOTE

The operating modes CD PLAY, USB PLAY, SD PLAY and BT MUSIC can only

►

be accessed when the corresponding medium is inserted and/or a mobile telephone is connected.

Making settings with the SEL button

♦ Press the SEL button 16 on the device. The current volume setting is shown.

Each additional press of the SEL button accesses the next setting.

The following settings are available: VOL - Volume (from 0 to 50)

BAS - Bass (from -10 to 10) TRB - Treble (from -10 to 10) BAL - Balance (sound distribution between the right and left speakers),

from L=R to 10L and from L=R to 10R)

FAD - Fader (sound distribution between the front and rear speakers),

from F=R to10F and from F=R to 10R)

♦ Turn the multi-controller 3 to change the settings of the menu item displayed.

Further settings with the SEL button

♦ Hold down the SEL button for about 2 seconds and then keep pressing the

SEL button until the required function is shown on the display 6.

♦ Turn the multi-controller to change the settings of the displayed menu items.

You can transfer up to 20 contacts (telephone book entries) from the connected mobile phone to the device and thus dial and call these contacts from the device.

► Each transferred contact is ﬁ led in memory slot PB 01. Any contacts that

have already been transferred are automatically pushed one memory slot further (PB 02, etc).

INVOL – switch-on volume

♦ Turn the multi-controller 3 to set the volume level at which the device is to

be set when turned on.

REC – recording format

♦ Turn the multi-controller to set the record format for recording on SD/MMC

and/or USB data media, MP3 (MP3 ﬁ les) or WMA (Windows Media Audio).

SUBW – subwoofer

You can connect an active external subwoofer to produce a more powerful bass eﬀ ect.

♦ Turn the multi-controller to enable the bass eﬀ ect (SUBW ON) or disable it

(SUBW OFF).

ADJ – time of day

NOTE

The device has an RDS-controlled clock. The clock sets itself automatically

►

when the EON function is enabled and continues to run when the stereo is switched oﬀ . If you do not receive any RDS signal, you can set the time of day manually.

♦ Turn the multi-controller to the right to set the hours and to the left to set the

minutes.

TAVOL – volume for traﬃ c radio

♦ Turn the multi-controller to set the volume level at which traﬃ c reports are to

be played back.

EON – information from other stations

When the EON function is switched on, the radio switches to traﬃ c radio or PTY groups if the TA or PTY function has been activated.

♦ Turn the multi-controller in order to switch the EON function on (EON ON) or

oﬀ (EON OFF).

AUTO DIM – display illumination

♦ Turn the multi-controller to perform the following settings:

AUTO D IM: the display illumination will adjust automatically depending on the

lighting conditions.

MAN DIM: the display illumination can be set in two stages (H = High and L = Low)

by turning the multi-controller.

AF – enabling/disabling alternative frequencies

♦ Turn the multi-controller 3 to perform the following settings:

AF ON: when the AF function is enabled, the device searches for the current station's

optimum frequency

AF OFF: the AF function is disabled.

TA – enabling/disabling traﬃ c announcements

♦ Turn the multi-controller to perform the following settings:

TA ON : if TA mode is enabled, the device immediately switches from other stations

or operating modes to the radio station that is currently transmitting traﬃ c information.

NOTE

When the TA function is enabled, you can only search for or save stations

►

that are transmitting traﬃ c information. Stations that are transmitting traﬃ c information signals are denoted on the display by TP.

TA OF F: the TA function is disabled (delivery status).

PTY – set programme type

You can use this function to search for stations in a designated genre.

♦ Turn the multi-controller to select one of the following settings:

PTY OFF, NEWS, AFFAIRS, INFO, SPORT, EDUCATE, DRAMA, CULTURE, SCIENCE, VARIED, POP M, ROCK M, EASY M, LIGHT M, CLASSICS, OTHER M, WEATHER, FINANCE, CHILDREN, SOCIAL, RELIGION, PHONE IN, TRAVEL, LEISURE, JAZZ, COUNTRY, NATION M, OLDIES, FOLK M, DOCUMENT.

During the station search, only stations with a previously set PTY ID will be

DSP – equalizer (digital sound processing)

ROCK M, POP M, FLAT or DSP NONE. In the setting DSP NONE, no equalizer is

activated. The DSP equalizer setting is shown on the right of the display

TA – traﬃ c announcements (traﬃ c radio)

♦ Turn the multi-controller to perform the following settings:

TA SEEK: as soon as the reception signal for traﬃ c announcements becomes

weaker or you leave the reception area, the search function starts and will look for the strongest TA station.

TA ALARM: as soon as the reception signal for traﬃ c announcements becomes

weaker or you leave the reception area, an alarm tone sounds.

PI – programme identiﬁ cation (acoustic signal during station search)

The programme identiﬁ cation code (PI) is a transmission identiﬁ cation code which is used while searching for alternative frequencies, among other things. It consists of a 16-bit number code which allows a positive identiﬁ cation of the station.

♦ Turn the multi-controller to perform the following settings:

PI SOUND: station search with sound. PI MUTE: the sound is muted during station search.

RETUNE (search times for stations with PI identiﬁ er)

♦ Turn the multi-controller to perform the following settings:

RETUNE L: the search process for a station with the correct PI identiﬁ er runs for

90 seconds.

RETUNE S: the search process for a station with the correct PI identiﬁ er runs for

30 seconds.

MASK (hide certain stations)

♦ Turn the multi-controller to perform the following settings:

MASK DPI: Conceals the AF stations which have a diﬀ erent PI identiﬁ er. MASK ALL: Conceals the AF stations which have another PI identiﬁ er and all

unwanted non-PI stations that have the same station frequency.

Radio functions

Select frequency range

♦ Press the BD/ENT button 15 to switch between FM (F 1, F 2, F 3) and

medium wave (M 1, M 2).

Automatic station search

♦ Press ▸▸I 2 or I◂◂ 17 brieﬂ y to start an automatic station search.

The search stops when a station is found.

Manual station selection

♦ Hold down either ▸▸I or I◂◂ for two seconds, MANUAL appears on the

display 6.

♦ Now press either ▸▸I or I◂◂ briefly to change the frequency in 0.05MHz

(VHF) or 9kHz (MW) increments until the required frequency is set.

If no button is pressed for approx. two seconds, the automatic station search is set again. The display will read AUTO.

Storing radio stations

6 stations can be saved in each frequency range.

♦ Keep one of the 1/PAU to 6/FL+ buttons (14–9) pressed for about

2 seconds to store the station currently selected. The numbers 1 to 6 will appear on the display to indicate a successful save.

Searching for stations with alternative frequencies

♦ Press the SCAN/REC button 18 to search for stations with an AF signal in

the FM band range.

The search stops for 5 seconds at each station found and then continues.

♦ If you want to listen to and save the station, press the SCAN/REC button to

stop the search.

♦ Keep one of the 1/PAU to 6/FL+ buttons pressed for about 3 seconds to

store the currently selected station. The numbers 1 to 6 will appear on the display to indicate a successful save.

Selecting stored stations

♦ Select the frequency range with the BND/ENT button. ♦ Press one of the 1/PAU to 6/FL+ buttons to call up the stored station.

Automatic storing

♦ Keep the A/PS button 4 pressed for 3 seconds. A search starts immediately

and stops for about 5 seconds at each station found. The station indicator and/or the station frequency ﬂ ashes and the memory slot is displayed. The search continues automatically when weak stations are found.

Browsing through the stored stations

♦ Press the A/PS button brieﬂ y. All saved stations for the current memory

level are played brieﬂ y.

♦ When you hear the required station, press the A/PS button.

The current station remains selected.

General CD functions

NOTE

Dampness and high humidity can cause the CD player to malfunction. In

this case, switch on the vehicle heating to dissipate the dampness before

using the device. Do not subject the device to any extremely high or low

temperatures.

Anti-shock function (ESP - "electronic shock protection")

The device is equipped with an anti-shock function. This function serves to compensate for vibrations, for example on uneven streets, and to provide an uninterrupted playback even when the device is subjected to movement. When the device is switched on, the memory automatically ﬁ lls with data:

■ with audio CDs for 10 seconds;

■ with MP3 CDs for 75 seconds.

Inserting and removing CDs

♦ Press the button to release the control panel. The control panel tilts

automatically forward.

♦ Push the CD into the CD slot with the label side facing up. ♦ Lock the control panel back into place by folding it upwards. Playback of

the CD begins. CD PLAY appears on the display.

♦ To remove the CD, open the control panel again. Press the button 22.

The CD will be ejected. The device switches to radio mode.

♦ Immediately remove the CD from the CD slot. If an ejected CD is not re-

moved within approx. 10 seconds, the device will draw it back in; however,

playback of the CD will not start.

Skip track

♦ Press the ▸▸I 2 or I◂◂ 17 button to select the next or previous track.

The track number is shown on the display

Fast forward/rewind

♦ Press and hold down the ▸▸I or I◂◂ button to start fast forward or rewind.

Stop playback

♦ Press the 1/PAU button 14 to stop playback. S-PAUSE ﬂ ashes on the

display.

♦ Press the 1/PAU button again to continue playback.

Repeat function (RPT)

♦ Press the 2/RPT button 13 several times to switch between the repeat func-

tions. The following settings are available:

– RPT ONE: the current track is repeated. – RPT ALL: the entire CD will be repeated. RPT will not be displayed.

Additionally with MP3 CDs:

– RPT DIR: all tracks in the current directory are repeated.

If the RPT ONE or RPT DIR function is enabled, RPT is shown on the display.

Intro playback

♦ Press the 3/INT button 12. INT is shown on the display. All tracks are

played back one after the other for approximately 10 seconds.

♦ Press the 3/INT button once more to activate normal playback.

Random playback of all tracks (RDM)

♦ Press the 4/RDM button 11. The display shows RDM. Random playback is

started. Pressing the button again will cause normal playback to resume.

■ The device can play back ﬁ les in the MP3 and WMA formats.

■ A mixture of tracks and directories on the same level can cause problems

when playing back.

■ During playback, the information from the MP3 ﬁ le ID3 tag is read and

Skip directory

♦ Press the 6/FL+ button 9 to skip to the next directory or the 5/FL- button 10

to jump back to the previous directory. The track number and the name of

the directory will appear brieﬂ y on the display 6, after which playback

begins automatically.

If the ﬁ les are located in the CD's main directory, the directory name ROOT

remove a memory card. Only carry out this task if the car is stationary and parked.

You can use your device to record ﬁ les from audio CDs, radio or external audio devices onto USB or SD/MMC data media and copy MP3 and/or WMA ﬁ les from an MP3 CD onto USB or SD/MMC data media.

The ﬁ les are stored under the following names:

■ Tracks from audio CDs: Track_001, Track_002, ...

■ Files from MP3 CDs: Copy_001, Copy_002, ...

■ Radio recordings: Tuner_001, Tuner_002, ...

■ Tracks via AUX: AUX_001, AUX_002, ...

Recordings have a bit rate of 128kbps and a sampling frequency of 44kHz.

Recording

♦ Place a storage medium into the card slot 24 or connect a data medium to

the USB port 7.

♦ Insert the CD or switch on the external audio device (as required). ♦ Set the required operating mode (CD PLAY, Radio, AUX) using the

MD/LD button 5.

♦ If necessary, start playback of the external audio device. ♦ Hold the SCAN/REC button 18 down until REC MMC or REC USB is displayed.

In the CD PLAY operating mode, MMC ALL or USB ALL will be displayed.

If there is no data medium connected onto which recordings can be made,

NO MEDIA will be displayed.

♦ Press the SCAN/REC button repeatedly until the desired recording option

is displayed. When recording an audio CD, you can also select whether

you want to record all tracks from the CD (USB/MMC ALL) or only the current

track (USB/MMC ONE).

♦ Start recording by pressing the BND/ENT button 15.

The audio data is now saved on the data medium in the selected format (MP3 or WMA). The preceding ﬂ ashing "R" indicates that a recording is being made.

NOTE

If the selected data medium is full, recording is automatically switched

Copying ﬁ les from an MP3 CD

You can copy individual tracks from an MP3 CD to an external USB data medium or an SD/MMC memory card.

♦ Place a storage medium into the card slot 24 or connect a data medium to

the USB port 7.

♦ During playback of a track from an MP3 CD, hold down the SCAN/REC

button 18. The display COPY MMC or COPY USB appears. If there is no data

medium connected onto which recordings can be made, NO MEDIA will be

displayed.

♦ Press the SCAN/REC button several times or turn the multi-controller 3

to select either the copying option COPY USB (copying onto a USB data

medium) or COPY MMC (copying onto a SD/MMC card).

♦ Start the copy process by pressing the SCAN/REC button.

During the copy process, COPY appears on the display indicator from 01–100 shows the copying progress. The display COPY 100 indicates that the copying process is ﬁ nished and playback of the MP3 track resumes.

Inleiding

Voorwoord

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van uw nieuwe apparaat. U hebt hiermee gekozen voor een hoogwaardig product. Deze gebruiksaanwij-

zing maakt onderdeel uit van de Bluetooth aangeduid als apparaat) en voorziet u van belangrijke aanwijzingen voor het gebruik in overeenstemming met de bestemming, de veiligheid, het inbouwen en aansluiten, evenals voor de bediening van het apparaat.

De gebruiksaanwijzing moet altijd in de buurt het apparaat beschikbaar zijn. Hij moet worden gelezen en gebruikt door iedere persoon die is belast met de inbouw en de bediening van het apparaat, alsmede met het verhelpen van storingen van het apparaat.

Bewaar de gebruiksaanwijzing en geef deze met het apparaat door aan de volgende eigenaar.

Gebruik in overeenstemming met bestemming

Dit apparaat is alleen bestemd voor de ontvangst van FM/AM-radiozenders, alsmede voor de weergave van audio- en MP3-CD's, MP3-bestanden van USBinformatiedragers en SD/MMC-geheugenkaarten, alsook van audiosignalen van externe audioapparatuur. Bovendien kunt u het apparaat verbinden met een

communicatiemiddel gebruiken. Het apparaat is bestemd voor de inbouw in een voertuig. Een ander of verdergaand gebruik geldt als niet in overeenstemming met de bestemming.

Veiligheid

In dit hoofdstuk krijgt u belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies voor de omgang met het product.

Dit apparaat voldoet aan de gestelde veiligheidsvoorschriften. Verkeerd gebruik kan echter leiden tot persoonlijk letsel en materiële schade.

Basisveiligheidsvoorschriften

Neem de volgende veiligheidsvoorschriften in acht voor een veilige omgang met het product:

■ Controleer het apparaat vóór gebruik op zichtbare schade aan de buitenzijde.

Gebruik geen apparaat dat beschadigd of gevallen is.

■ Laat in geval van beschadiging van het snoer of de aansluitingen deze vervan-

gen door geautoriseerd en vakkundig personeel of door de klantenservice.

■ Personen die wegens hun fysieke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens niet

in staat zijn om het apparaat veilig te bedienen, mogen het apparaat alleen onder toezicht of met assistentie van een verantwoordelijke persoon gebruiken.

■ Sta kinderen alleen toe het apparaat onder toezicht te gebruiken.

■ Laat reparaties aan het apparaat alleen uitvoeren door geautoriseerde

vakbedrijven of door de klantenservice. Ondeskundige reparaties kunnen resulteren in aanzienlijke gevaren voor de gebruiker. Bovendien vervalt dan de garantie.

■ Een reparatie van het apparaat tijdens de garantieperiode mag alleen worden

uitgevoerd door een klantenservice die door de fabrikant is geautoriseerd, anders vervalt de garantie bij volgende schadegevallen.

■ Defecte onderdelen mogen alleen worden vervangen door originele reserve-

onderdelen. Alleen bij deze onderdelen is gewaarborgd dat ze voldoen aan de veiligheidseisen.

■ Bescherm het apparaat tegen vocht en het binnendringen van vloeistoﬀ en.

Gevaar door laserstraling

WAARSCHUWING

Het apparaat is uitgerust met een laser van de klasse 1. Laserstraling is gevaarlijk voor het gezichtsvermogen!

Neem de volgende veiligheidsinstructies in acht om uzelf of anderen niet bloot te stellen aan laserstraling:

► Het apparaat nooit openen. ► Laat het apparaat uitsluitend repareren door een vakman. ► Verander het apparaat niet.

Verkeersveiligheid

WAARSCHUWING

Veiligheid in het wegverkeer heeft de hoogste prioriteit!

Neem de volgende veiligheidsinstructies in acht om uzelf of anderen niet in gevaar te brengen:

► Maak uzelf vertrouwd met de bediening van het apparaat alvorens te

gaan rijden.

► Bedien het apparaat alleen als de verkeerssituatie dit toelaat! Blijf op een

geschikte plaats stilstaan om uitgebreide handelingen voor de bediening uit te voeren.

► Verwijder het bedieningspaneel alleen en breng het alleen aan als het

voertuig stilstaat.

► Stel een gepast volume in, zodat u akoestische signalen van de politie,

brandweer en andere hulpdiensten tijdig kunt waarnemen.

Gebruik alleen de kabels voor de voorste luidsprekers om het apparaat aan te sluiten op twee luidsprekers.

OPMERKING

Let erop dat voor het opslaan van zenders aansluiting 4 in het ISO-blok

►

A 28 op de continu plus moet zijn aangesloten.

► In een aantal voertuigmodellen is de standaardbezetting van de aanslui-

tingen [4] en [7] in het ISO-blok A in de fabriek verwisseld. Als dit het geval is, kunnen opgeslagen zenders verloren gaan. Als oplossing moeten de aansluitingen 7 (ontstekingsplus) en 4 (continu plus) in het ISO-blok A worden verwisseld. Steek daartoe de meegeleverde adapterkabel 42 tussen het ISO-blok A van de radio en de voertuig-kabelboom. Verbind op de adapterkabel de rode ader van ISO-stekker met de gele ader van de ISObus en de gele ader van de ISO-stekker met de rode ader van de ISO-bus (zie ook achterste uitvouwpagina).

LET OP

Bij gebruik van de adapterkabel voor het ISO-blok A moeten beide aan-

sluitingen (rode en gele aders) met elkaar verbonden zijn. Anders bestaat er kortsluitingsgevaar!

Aansluiting voor de aansturingsspanning van de antenne

LET OP

Mogelijke schade aan het apparaat!

► Belast de aansluiting voor de aansturingsspanning van de antenne nooit

met de motorstroomkabel van de antenne of met andere verbruikers.

De aansluiting voor de aansturingsspanning van de antenne is bedoeld voor een relaisgestuurde antenne. Het relais schuift de antenne automatisch uit zodra het apparaat wordt ingeschakeld. Bij het uitschakelen schuift de antenne weer in. Deze aansluiting kan ook worden gebruikt om een externe versterker aan te sturen. Raadpleeg voor de exacte aansluiting de gebruiksaanwijzing van de versterker.

De autoradio kan in iedere standaard ISO-inbouwschacht worden geplaatst. Wend u tot een vakgarage, de vakhandel of een speciale afdeling van een warenhuis als uw voertuig niet over een ISO-schacht beschikt.

OPMERKING

Vóór de montage moeten beslist de beide schroeven van de transportbe-

►

veiliging op de bovenste behuizing verwijderd worden (gemarkeerd door rode stickers)!

► Sluit de snoeren aan, voordat u het apparaat deﬁ nitief inbouwt. Vergewis u

ervan dat ze correct zijn aangesloten en dat het systeem correct functioneert.

Inbouwaanwijzingen

■ Zet het apparaat in de schacht die daarvoor is voorzien, of kies de inbouw-

plaats zodanig, dat u alle toetsen makkelijk kunt bereiken en de bestuurder niet wordt gehinderd.

■ Sluit het apparaat alleen aan op een 12 V auto-accu die volgens de voor-

schriften is geïnstalleerd.

■ Sluit het apparaat alleen via de ISO-stekker in de auto aan.

■ Bouw het apparaat zodanig in, dat er geen ophoping van hitte kan ontstaan

en dat het apparaat goed geventileerd is.

■ Om functionele storingen te vermijden, moet de inbouwhoek kleiner zijn dan 30°.

■ Bouw het apparaat niet in op een plaats waar het blootstaat aan hoge

temperaturen (bijv. direct zonlicht of verwarmingslucht), sterke vervuiling of sterke vibraties.

■ Wend u tot uw autodealer/een vakgarage als er veranderingen aan het

voertuig noodzakelijk zijn.

Inbouw van het apparaat in de ISO-schacht

♦ Trek het inbouwframe 39 en het ombouwframe 38 van de behuizing van

het apparaat af. Gebruik hiervoor de meegeleverde sleutel 40 (zie ook

het hoofdstuk “Het apparaat demonteren”).

♦ Steek het inbouwframe in de ISO-schacht. ♦ Buig de lipjes van het inbouwframe om met behulp van een schroevendraaier,

zodat het frame vastzit in de inbouwschacht (zie afbeelding).

♦ Controleer of het inbouwframe goed vastzit. ♦ Verbind het ISO-connectorblok van het apparaat met de beide ISO-stekkers

van uw voertuig.

♦ Verbind de antennekabel van de voertuigantenne met de antenne-aanslui-

ting 32 van de autoradio. De voor het voertuig speciﬁ eke DIN-ISO-adapter,

die u in voorkomend geval nodig hebt, is verkrijgbaar in vakgarages, in de

vakhandel of op speciale afdelingen van warenhuizen.

♦ Voer het snoer van de microfoon-unit in de inbouwschacht en sluit het op de

bus van de microfoon-unit

LET OP

Mogelijke beschadiging van de snoeren!

► Let tijdens het inschuiven op de snoeren, om beschadiging te voorkomen.

Bij een beschadigd snoer bestaat er brandgevaar!

♦ Schuif het apparaat voorzichtig in het inbouwframe 39 totdat het vastklikt. ♦ Nadat alle verbindingen tot stand zijn gebracht, activeert u de toets RESET 23

met een ballpoint of een ander puntig voorwerp.

♦ Breng het bedieningspaneel aan, zoals beschreven onder “Bedieningspaneel

aanbrengen”.

♦ Bevestig vervolgens het ombouwframe 38.

Het apparaat uitbouwen

Om het apparaat weer uit te bouwen, gaat u als volgt te werk:

♦ Verwijder het ombouwframe. ♦ Steek de rechter- en de linkersleutel 40 in de betreﬀ ende sleuf aan de zij-

kanten van het apparaat. Let erop, dat de verdikkingen van de sleutels naar

buiten wijzen (de tongen zijn nu teruggebogen).

♦ Trek het apparaat uit het frame.

Ingebruikname

Bedieningspaneel

Ter beveiliging tegen diefstal kunt u het bedieningspaneel van het apparaat halen. Bewaar het afgenomen bedieningspaneel niet in uw voertuig.

OPMERKING

Als het bedieningspaneel niet in het frame is geplaatst, knippert op het

►

apparaat de LED van de diefstalbescherming 21.

► Bewaar het bedieningspaneel ter bescherming altijd in het etui 37.

Bedieningspaneel aanbrengen

♦ Plaats het bedieningspaneel eerst met de

linkerzijde in het frame en buig het daarbij

ca. 15° naar boven.

♦ Druk dan de rechterkant vast, totdat deze

vastklikt.

♦ Klap het bedieningspaneel vervolgens

omhoog, totdat het vastklikt.

Controleer of het bedieningspaneel correct en vast met het hoofdtoestel verbonden is. Is het bedieningspaneel niet correct ingebouwd, dan kan dit tot storingen leiden tijdens het gebruik van het apparaat.

Bedieningspaneel afnemen

♦ Druk op de toets om het bedienings-

paneel te ontgrendelen. Het bedieningspaneel

kantelt automatisch naar voren.

♦ Buig het bedieningspaneel ca. 15° naar

boven en schuif het naar links. Trek daarna

eerst de rechter-, dan de linkerzijde af.

Bediening en gebruik

In dit hoofdstuk krijgt u belangrijke aanwijzingen voor de bediening en het gebruik van het product.

OPMERKING

Als u gedurende ongeveer 5 seconden geen instelling opgeeft, dat wil

zeggen op een toets drukt, keert het apparaat terug naar de vorige bedrijfsmodus. Gewijzigde instellingen worden opgeslagen.

Radio resetten (RESET)

Om de autoradio te resetten naar de fabrieksinstellingen, drukt u met een puntig voorwerp, bijv. met een ballpoint, op de toets RESET 23.

De toets RESET is alleen toegankelijk als het bedieningspaneel helemaal wordt verwijderd, zie ook het hoofdstuk “Bedieningspaneel afnemen”.

► Indien de fout niet wordt opgelost door te resetten, neem dan contact

Reset het apparaat:

Instellingen

Volume

♦ Draai aan de multi-regelknop 3 om het volume in te stellen.

Loudness

♦ Houd de toets MD/LD 5 ingedrukt om de loudness-functie in of uit te

schakelen. Op het display verschijnt LOUD ON, resp. LOUD OFF.

Geluidsuitschakeling (mute) in-/uitschakelen

♦ Druk op de toets / 19 om het geluid uit te zetten. Op het display

knippert MUTE.

♦ Druk opnieuw op de toets / om het geluid weer in te schakelen.

Bij de ontvangst van een PTY- of TA-zender en bij verandering van zender

of bron wordt de geluidsuitschakeling opgeheven.

Modus instellen

♦ Druk op de toets MD/LD 5 om te wisselen tussen radio-ontvangst

(frequentie-aanduiding), CD/MP3-modus (CD PLAY), USB-aansluiting

Instellingen via de toets SEL

♦ Druk op de toets SEL 16 op het apparaat. De actuele instelling voor het

geluidsvolume wordt aangegeven. Bij elke volgende druk op de toets

PH BOOK - telefoonboek-functie

U kunt tot 20 contacten (telefoonboekingangen) van de verbonden mobiele telefoon overzetten op het apparaat en zodoende vanuit het apparaat de contacten selecteren en opbellen.

ADJ - tijd

OPMERKING

Het apparaat is uitgerust met een RDS-gestuurde klok. De klok stelt zichzelf

automatisch in als de EON-functie is ingeschakeld en loopt ook door als de radio uitgeschakeld is. Als u geen RDS-signaal ontvangt, kunt u de tijd ook handmatig instellen.

♦ Draai de multi-regelknop naar rechts om de uren in te stellen en naar links

TAVOL - volume bij verkeersradio

♦ Draai de multi-regelknop om het volumeniveau in te stellen waarop de

verkeersberichten weergegeven moeten worden.

EON - informatie van andere zenders

Bij ingeschakelde EON-functie schakelt de radio over op het verkeersnieuws of op de PTY-types, als de TA- of PTY-functie is geactiveerd.

♦ Draai aan de multi-regelknop om de EON-functie in te schakelen (EON ON),

of uit te schakelen (EON OFF).

AUTO DIM - displayverlichting

♦ Draai aan de multi-regelknop om volgende instellingen uit te voeren:

AUTO D IM: De displayverlichting wordt automatisch ingesteld afhankelijk van de

lichtverhoudingen (leveringstoestand).

MAN DIM: De displayverlichting kan in twee standen (H = High en L = Low) door

draaien van de multi-regelknop ingesteld worden.

AF - alternatieve frequenties in-/uitschakelen

Bij ingeschakelde TA-functie kunnen tijdens het zoeken naar zenders alleen

zenders worden gevonden resp. opgeslagen die een verkeersradiosignaal uitzenden. Zenders die een verkeersradiosignaal uitzenden, zijn op het display te herkennen aan “TP”.

TA OF F: TA-functie is uitgeschakeld (leveringstoestand).

PTY - programmatype instellen

Met behulp van deze functie kunt u naar zenders van een bepaald genre zoeken.

♦ Draai de multi-regelknop om één van de instellingen te kiezen:

Bij de zenderzoekactie worden enkel zenders met de tevoren ingestelde

► Houd er rekening mee dat deze informatie afhankelijk is van de regio, de

het ontvangstbereik wordt verlaten, klinkt er een alarmsignaal.

PI - Program Identiﬁ cation (geluid bij de zoekactie van zenders)

De Program Identiﬁ cation Code (PI) is een zenderinterne identiﬁ catiecode, die onder meer wordt gebruikt bij de zoekactie naar alternatieve frequenties. Hij bestaat uit een 16-bits getal, dat een precieze identiﬁ catie van de zender mogelijk maakt.

♦ Draai aan de multi-regelknop, om volgende instellingen uit te voeren:

PI SOUND: zender-zoekactie met geluid. PI MUTE: Bij de zenderzoekactie is het geluid uitgeschakeld.

RETUNE (zoektijden van zenders met PI-identiﬁ catie)

♦ Draai aan de multi-regelknop om de volgende instellingen uit te voeren:

RETUNE L: de zoekactie naar een zender met de juiste PI-identiﬁ catie loopt

90 seconden.

Frequentiebereik kiezen

De zoekactie stopt zodra een zender is gevonden.

Zenders handmatig instellen

♦ Houd een van de toetsen ▸▸I of I◂◂ twee seconden lang ingedrukt.

Op het display 6 verschijnt MANUAL.

♦ Druk nu op de toetsen ▸▸I of I◂◂, om de frequentie in stappen van 0,05 MHz

(UKW) resp. 9 kHz (MW) te veranderen tot de gewenste frequentie ingesteld is.

Als er ongeveer twee seconden lang geen toets wordt ingedrukt, is opnieuw de automatische zenderzoekactie ingesteld. Op het display verschijnt AUTO.

Zenders opslaan

Voor ieder frequentiebereik kunnen 6 zenders worden opgeslagen.

♦ Houd ca. 2 seconden lang een van de toetsen 1/PAU tot 6/FL+ (14 - 9)

ingedrukt om de ingestelde zender op te slaan. Als het opslaan van de zender geslaagd is, wordt dit aangegeven met het cijfer 1 t/m 6 op het display.

Zenders met alternatieve frequenties zoeken

♦ Druk op de toets SCAN/REC 18 om het FM-bandbereik te doorzoeken

naar zenders met AF-signaal.

De zoekactie stopt 5 seconden lang bij iedere gevonden zender en loopt dan verder.

♦ Als u de zender hoort en wilt opslaan, drukt u op de toets SCAN/REC om

de zoekactie te stoppen.

♦ Houd ca. 3 seconden lang een van de toetsen 1/PAU tot 6/FL+ ingedrukt

om de ingestelde zender op te slaan. Als het opslaan van de zender geslaagd is, wordt dit aangegeven met het cijfer 1 t/m 6 op het display.

Opgeslagen zenders oproepen

♦ Kies met de toets BD/ENT het frequentiebereik. ♦ Druk op een van de toetsen 1/PAU tot 6/FL+ om de opgeslagen zender

op te roepen.

Automatisch opslaan

♦ Houd de toets A/PS 4 3 seconden lang ingedrukt. Er wordt onmiddellijk

een zoekactie gestart, die bij iedere zender die gevonden wordt ca. vijf seconden lang stopt. De weergave van de zender, resp. van de zendfrequentie knippert en de geheugenpositie wordt aangegeven. Bij zwakke zenders gaat de zoekactie automatisch verder.

Opgeslagen zenders doorlopen

♦ Druk kort op de toets A/PS. Alle opgeslagen zenders van het actuele

geheugenniveau worden kort afgespeeld.

♦ Als u de gewenste zender hoort, drukt u op de toets A/PS.

De gekozen zender blijft geselecteerd.

Algemene CD-functies

OPMERKING

Vocht en hoge luchtvochtigheid kunnen storingen van de CD-speler veroor-

►

zaken. Zet in dit geval de verwarming aan in de auto om de vochtigheid

vóór het gebruik te laten verdampen. Stel de CD-speler niet bloot aan

extreem hoge of lage temperaturen.

Anti-Schok-Functie (ESP - “Electric Shock Protection”)

Dit apparaat is uitgerust met een anti-schok-functie. Deze functie dient ertoe om vibraties, bijv. op hobbelige straten te compenseren en een ononderbroken weergave ook bij beweging van het apparaat te garanderen. Bij het inschakelen van het apparaat wordt het geheugen automatisch met gegevens geladen:

■ bij audio-CD's 10 seconden lang;

■ bij MP3-CD's 75 seconden lang.

CD's inleggen en uitnemen

♦ Druk op de toets om het bedieningspaneel te ontgrendelen.

Het bedieningsdeel kantelt automatisch naar voren.

♦ Schuif de CD met de beschreven kant omhoog in het CD-vak. ♦ Sluit het bedieningsdeel weer, doordat u het omhoog klapt. Het afspelen

van de CD begint. Op het display verschijnt CD PLAY.

♦ Om de CD uit te nemen opent u wederom het bedieningsdeel. Druk op de

toets

22. De CD wordt uitgeworpen. Het apparaat schakelt over op

♦ Haal de CD onmiddellijk uit het CD-vak. Als een uitgeworpen CD niet na

ongeveer 10 seconden uitgenomen wordt, dan trekt het apparaat deze

weer naar binnen, waarbij de weergave echter niet wordt gestart.

Titels overslaan

♦ Druk op de toets ▸▸I 2 of I◂◂ 17 om de volgende resp. de vorige titel te

kiezen. Op het display

wordt het titelnummer aangegeven.

Snel vooruit-/terugspoelen

♦ Houd de toets ▸▸I of I◂◂ langer ingedrukt om snel vooruit- of terugspoelen

te starten.

Weergave onderbreken

♦ Druk op de toets 1/PAU 14 om de weergave te onderbreken.

Op het display knippert S-PAUSE.

♦ Druk nogmaals op de toets 1/PAU om de weergave voort te zetten.

Herhalingsfunctie (RPT - repeat)

♦ Druk meerdere keren op de toets 2/RPT 13 om te schakelen tussen de

herhalingsfuncties. De volgende instellingen zijn mogelijk:

– RPT ONE: de actuele titel wordt herhaald. – RPT ALL: de gehele CD wordt herhaald. RPT wordt niet aangegeven.

Aanvullend bij MP3-CD's:

– RPT DIR: alle titels in de actuele map worden herhaald.

Als de functie RPT ONE of RPT DIR is geactiveerd, staat RPT op het display.

Titels kort afspelen

♦ Druk op de toets 3/INT 12. Op het display wordt INT aangegeven.

Na elkaar worden alle titels ca. 10 seconden lang afgespeeld.

♦ Druk nog een keer op de toets 3/INT om de normale weergave te

activeren.

Willekeurig afspelen van alle titels (RDM - random)

♦ Druk op de toets 4/RDM 11. Op het display wordt RDM aangegeven.

Het in willekeurige volgorde afspelen van de titels wordt gestart. Nogmaals

drukken activeert de normale weergave.

Functies MP3-CD's

Weergave

■ Het apparaat kan bestanden van het type MP3 en WMA afspelen.

■ Een vermengen van titels en mappen op hetzelfde niveau zou tot problemen

bij het afspelen kunnen leiden.

■ Tijdens de weergave worden de gegevens uit de ID3-tag van het MP3-

bestand gelezen en achter elkaar op het display weergegeven.

Map overslaan

♦ Druk op de toets 6/FL+ 9 om de volgende map weer te geven, of op de

toets 5/FL- 10 om de vorige map weer te geven. Op het display 6 wordt

kort het titelnummer en de naam van de mapdirectory aangegeven, daarna

begint de weergave automatisch.

OPMERKING

Staan er bestanden in de hoofdmap van de CD, dan wordt als mapnaam

Het apparaat ondersteunt USB-informatiedragers tot 16 GB. Hierbij mag de mapstructuur maximaal 1024 mappen, 4086 bestanden en een mapdiepte van 8 niveaus bevatten.

Informatiedragers aansluiten

♦ Open het beschermkapje van de USB-aansluiting. ♦ Sluit uw USB-apparaat aan op de USB-aansluiting 7. Het apparaat zoekt

naar MP3- of WMA-bestanden op de informatiedrager en op het display

verschijnt de melding USB PLAY. De weergave van de MP3- of WMA-titels

op het USB-apparaat start automatisch.

♦ Wanneer u uw USB-apparaat verwijdert, gaat de autoradio automatisch

over op de radiomodus en wordt de laatst ingestelde zender weergegeven.

♦ Klap het beschermkapje weer dicht wanneer geen USB-apparaat aangeslo-

ten is, om vervuiling te voorkomen.

Het apparaat ondersteunt SD/MMC-geheugenkaarten tot 2 GB en SDHCgeheugenkaarten tot 32 GB. Hierbij mag de mapstructuur maximaal 1024 mappen, 4086 bestanden en een mapdiepte van 8 niveaus bevatten.

Informatiedragers aansluiten

WAARSCHUWING

► Voor het inbrengen of verwijderen van een geheugenkaart moet het bedie-

ningsdeel van de autoradio verwijderd en weer aangebracht worden. Voer deze actie slechts uit, wanneer u niet deelneemt aan het openbaar verkeer.

♦ Verwijder het bedieningsdeel en schuif een geheugenkaart met het opschrift

omhoog in de kaartsleuf

♦ Plaats daarna het bedieningsdeel terug (zie ook hoofdstuk “Bedieningsdeel

aanbrengen”). De weergave van de MP3- of WMA-titels op de geheugen-

kaart start automatisch.

Weergave en zoekfuncties

■ De bediening voor het afspelen van bestanden op de externe informatie-

drager, evenals de zoekfuncties, functioneert precies zo als bij MP3-CD's.

■ Als het apparaat in een andere modus staat (CD PLAY, Radio, AUX

of USB PLAY), kunt u de kaartlezer met de toets MD/LD 5 oproepen.

Opnemen

♦ Plaats een opslagmedium in de kaartsleuf 24 of sluit een informatiedrager

♦ Leg zo nodig de CD in resp. sluit het externe audioapparaat aan. ♦ Stel met de toets MD/LD 5 de gewenste modus in (CD PLAY, Radio,

AUX) in.

♦ Start zo nodig de weergave van het externe audioapparaat. ♦ Houd de toets SCAN/REC 18 ingedrukt, tot REC MMC of REC USB wordt

aangegeven. In de modus CD PLAY wordt MMC ALL of USB ALL aangegeven.

Is er geen informatiedrager aangesloten waarop kan worden opgenomen,

dan wordt NO MEDIA aangegeven.

♦ Druk zo vaak op de toets SCAN/REC, totdat de gewenste opname-optie

wordt aangegeven. In geval van opnames van audio-CD kunt u bovendien

nog instellen of u alle titels van de CD (USB/MMC ALL) of alleen de actuele

titel (USB/MMC ONE) wilt opnemen.

♦ Start de opname door op de toets BD/ENT 15 te drukken.

De audiogegevens worden nu in het ingestelde formaat (MP3 of WMA) op de informatiedrager opgeslagen. De knipperende “R” ervoor signaleert de opname.

OPMERKING

Als de gewenste informatiedrager vol is, wisselt de opname automatisch

►

naar de andere informatiedrager, voor zover een overeenkomstige informatiedrager is aangesloten.

♦ Om de opname te beëindigen, drukt u nog een keer kort op de toets

BD/ENT.

Bestanden van MP3-CD kopiëren

U kunt afzonderlijke titels van een MP3-CD naar een externe USB-informatiedrager of een SD/MMC-kaart kopiëren.

♦ Plaats een opslagmedium in de kaartsleuf 24 of sluit een informatiedrager

aan op de USB-aansluiting 7.

♦ Houd tijdens de weergave van een titel van een MP3-CD de toets SCAN/

REC 18 ingedrukt. De melding COPY MMC resp. COPY USB verschijnt. Is er

geen informatiedrager aangesloten waarop kan worden opgenomen, dan

wordt NO MEDIA aangegeven.

♦ Druk op de toets SCAN/REC of draai de multi-regelknop 3, om ofwel de

kopieer-optie COPY USB (op USB-informatiedrager kopiëren) ofwel COPY MMC

(op SD/MMC-kaart kopiëren) te selecteren.

♦ Start de kopieerprocedure door op de toets SCAN/REC te drukken.

Tijdens de kopieerprocedure verschijnt op het display van het percentage van 01 - 100 dat de voortgang van het kopiëren aangeeft. Na de melding COPY 100 is de kopieerprocedure beëindigd en de weergave van de MP3-titel wordt voortgezet.

Externe audioapparatuur aansluiten op het apparaat

♦ Open het beschermkapje van de AUX-aansluiting. ♦ Sluit de audio-uitgang van het externe audioapparaat (bijv. een MP3-speler)

via een 3,5 mm stereo-jackplug aan op de connector AUX 8 op de

voorkant van het apparaat.

♦ Kies de weergave van de audio-ingang door een paar keer op de toets

MD/LD 5 te drukken, tot op het display AUX verschijnt.

Om de Bluetooth

-functies te gebruiken moet de microfoon-unit aangesloten

zijn op het apparaat. Bovendien is een mobiele telefoon nodig die de Bluetooth datatransmissie ondersteunt.

Telefoon met het apparaat verbinden

♦ Activeer de Bluetooth

uit naar Bluetooth

Na een succesvolle zoekactie verschijnt voor het apparaat de vermelding CarBT op het display van de mobiele telefoon.

♦ Kies deze vermelding voor de verbinding en voer bij het aansluitende

verzoek om een wachtwoord het wachtwoord 1234 voor het apparaat in.

Eventueel moet u de opbouw van de verbinding nog een keer bevestigen.

Na succesvolle koppeling verschijnt op het display CONN OK en de groene LED 36 op de microfoon-unit brandt.

Microfoon gebruiken

Tijdens het telefoongesprek hoort u de beller via de luidsprekers die op de autoradio zijn aangesloten.

Nummerherhaling

♦ Houd gedurende ongeveer 2 seconden de toets TALK 35 op de microfoon-

– Het laatste geselecteerde oproepnummer van de mobiele telefoon wordt

geselecteerd.

Bellijsten

♦ Houd de knop SEL 16 ca. 2 seconden lang ingedrukt. Op het display 6

verschijnt CALL LIST.

♦ Druk op de toets BD/ENT 15 op het aparaat. Op het display verschijnt

IN CALL.

♦ Draai de multi-regelknop 3 om te kiezen tussen de volgende aanduidingen:

– IN CALL: De laatste 20 inkomende oproepen aangeven*. – OUT CALL: De laatste 20 uitgaande oproepen aangeven*.

* Alleen de binnenkomende en uitgaande oproepen die rechtstreeks door de

autoradio worden geactiveerd, worden getoond.

♦ Druk opnieuw op de toets BD/ENT. Op het display verschijnt READING en

vervolgens wordt het laatst inkomende (IN CALL) resp. gekozen (OUT CALL)

telefoonnummer aangegeven.

♦ Draai aan de multi-regelknop om de 20 laatste binnengekomen, resp.

gekozen telefoonnummers na elkaar weer te geven.

♦ Druk op de toets 2 om het gekozen telefoonnummer te kiezen. ♦ Druk op de toets om de nummerherhaling te beëindigen of de lijst

van bellers te verlaten.

U kunt tot 20 contacten (telefoonboekingangen) van de verbonden mobiele telefoon overzetten op het apparaat en zodoende vanuit het apparaat de contacten selecteren en opbellen.

Audio-streaming (A2DP)

Het apparaat gebruikt het A2DP-proﬁ el (Advanced Audio Distribution Proﬁ le) en kan zodoende audiogegevens van uw mobiele telefoon weergeven.

♦ Kies op uw mobiele telefoon een audiobestand en start de weergave.

Op het display van het apparaat verschijnt de invoer A2DP en het audiobestand wordt weergegeven via de luidsprekers die op het apparaat aangesloten zijn.

OPMERKING

Op de mobiele telefoon moet eventueel de weergave worden overgezet

naar een Bluetooth gebruiksaanwijzing van uw mobiele telefoon in acht.

► Bij sommige mobiele telefoons schakelt het apparaat niet automatisch over

op de A2DP-modus. Schakel in dit geval naar de A2DP-modus, doordat u meermaals drukt op de toets MD/LD 5, totdat op het display de mededeling BT MUSIC of A2DP verschijnt.

Reinigen

LET OP

Mogelijke beschadiging van het apparaat

► Zorg dat er geen vocht in het apparaat binnendringt tijdens het schoonmaken,

om onherstelbare schade aan het apparaat te voorkomen.

Display reinigen

■ Reinig de voorkant van het apparaat/het display uitsluitend met een licht

vochtige, pluisvrije doek en een mild afwasmiddel.

Afvoeren

Apparaat afvoeren

Gooi het apparaat in geen geval weg bij het gewone huisvuil.

Dit product is onderworpen aan de Europese richtlijn 2012/19/EU AEEA (afgedankte elektrische en elektronische apparatuur).

Voer het apparaat af via een erkend afvalverwerkingsbedrijf of via uw gemeentereiniging. Neem de momenteel geldende voorschriften in acht. Neem bij twijfel contact op met de verantwoordelijke instantie.

Milieurichtlijnen verpakking

De verpakking beschermt het apparaat tegen transportschade. De verpakkingsmaterialen zijn niet schadelijk voor het milieu. Ze zijn gekozen op grond van milieuvriendelijkheid en daarom recyclebaar.

Het terugvoeren van de verpakking in de materiaalkringloop betekent een besparing op grondstoﬀ en en zorgt voor minder afval. Voer niet meer benodigde verpakkingsmaterialen af conform de plaatselijk geldende voorschriften.

► Bewaar, indien mogelijk, de originele verpakking gedurende de garantie-

periode van het apparaat, om het apparaat bij een garantiekwestie volgens de voorschriften te kunnen verpakken.

Problemen oplossen

In dit hoofdstuk staan belangrijke aanwijzingen voor het opsporen en verhelpen van storingen. Neem de aanwijzingen in acht om gevaren en beschadigingen te vermijden.

WAARSCHUWING

Neem de volgende veiligheidsinstructies in acht om gevaren en materiële schade te voorkomen:

► Reparaties aan elektrische apparaten mogen alleen worden uitgevoerd

door vakmensen die door de fabrikant zijn geschoold. Onvakkundige reparaties kunnen aanzienlijke gevaren voor de gebruiker en schade aan het apparaat tot gevolg hebben.

Oorzaken van storingen en oplossingen

De onderstaande tabel helpt bij het opsporen en verhelpen van kleinere storingen:

Condensatie op de laserlens

Het apparaat heeft een storing.

Het bedieningspaneel is niet goed bevestigd.

Schakel het ontstekingsmechanisme in door de contactsleutel te draaien.

Vervang de zekering

Controleer de aansluitingen van de snoeren.

Druk op de toets geluid weer in te schakelen.

Verwijder de CD.

Leg de CD met het opschrift boven in.

Maak de CD schoon of leg een andere CD in.

Laat het voertuig ventileren, totdat de temperatuur weer is gedaald op bedrijfstemperatuur.

Zet het apparaat een paar uur uit en probeer het dan opnieuw.

und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes die Anweisungen für den Anschluss

und Einbau. Bei unsachgemäßer Montage besteht Brandgefahr!

Die Verwendung von falschen Anschlüssen kann zu Beschädigungen am Gerät führen.

► Benutzen Sie beim Einbau die ISO-Anschlüsse des Gerätes. Die fahr-

zeugspeziﬁ schen ISO-Adapter, die Sie gegebenenfalls benötigen, erhalten

HINWEIS

Beachten Sie, dass zur Senderspeicherung der Anschluss 4 im ISO-Block A

an Dauerplus angeschlossen sein muss.

► In einigen Fahrzeugmodellen ist die standardmäßige Belegung der

Anschlüsse [4] und [7] im ISO-Block A werkseitig vertauscht. Wenn dies

der Fall ist, kann die Senderspeicherung verloren gehen. Zur Abhilfe

müssen die Anschlüsse 7 (Zündungsplus) und 4 (Dauerplus) im ISO-Block

A getauscht werden. Stecken Sie hierzu das mitgelieferte Adapterkabel 42

zwischen den ISO-Block A des Radios und dem KFZ-Kabelbaum.

Verbinden Sie am Adapterkabel die rote Ader des ISO-Steckers mit der

gelben Ader der ISO-Buchse und die gelbe Ader des ISO-Steckers mit der

roten Ader der ISO-Buchse (siehe auch hintere Ausklappseite).

ACHTUNG

Bei Verwendung des Adapterkabels für den ISO-Block A müssen beide

Anschlüsse (rote und gelbe Adern) miteinander verbunden sein. Ansonsten

besteht Kurzschlussgefahr!

Antennen-Steuerspannungsanschluss

ACHTUNG

Mögliche Schäden am Gerät!

► Belasten Sie den Anschluss für die Antennen-Steuerspannung niemals mit

dem Motorstromkabel der Antenne oder mit anderen Verbrauchern.

Der Anschluss für die Antennen-Steuerspannung steht für eine relaisgesteuerte Antenne zur Verfügung. Das Relais fährt die Antenne dann automatisch aus, wenn das Gerät eingeschaltet wird. Beim Ausschalten fährt die Antenne wieder ein. Dieser Anschluss kann auch zum Steuern eines externen Verstärkers benutzt werden. Zum genauen Anschluss ziehen Sie bitte die Bedienungsanleitung des Verstärkers hinzu.

Entfernen Sie unbedingt vor der Montage die beiden Transportsicherungs-

Stellen Sie sicher, dass diese richtig eingesteckt sind und das System richtig

Einbauhinweise

■ Setzen Sie das Gerät in den dafür vorgesehenen Schacht ein oder wählen

Sie den Einbauplatz so, dass Sie alle Tasten bequem erreichen können und der Fahrer nicht behindert wird.

■ Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte 12V

Autobatterie an.

■ Schließen Sie das Gerät nur über die ISO-Stecker im Auto an.

■ Bauen Sie das Gerät so ein, dass kein Hitzestau entstehen kann und das

Gerät gut belüftet ist.

■ Um Funktionsstörungen zu vermeiden, sollte der Einbauwinkel kleiner als 30° sein.

■ Bauen Sie das Gerät nicht an einem Platz ein, wo es hohen Temperaturen

(z.B. direkte Sonneneinstrahlung oder Heizungsluft), starker Verschmutzung und starken Erschütterungen ausgesetzt ist.

■ Falls Änderungen am Fahrzeug erforderlich sind, wenden Sie sich an Ihren

Fahrzeughändler/eine Fachwerkstatt.

Einbau des Gerätes in den ISO-Schacht

♦ Ziehen Sie den Einbaurahmen 39 und den Blendrahmen 38 vom Gehäuse

des Gerätes ab. Verwenden Sie hierzu die mitgelieferten Schlüssel 40

(siehe auch Kapitel „Das Gerät ausbauen“).

♦ Stecken Sie den Einbaurahmen in den ISO-Einbauschacht. ♦ Biegen Sie die Laschen des Einbaurahmens mit einem Schraubendreher um,

so dass dieser fest im Einbauschacht ﬁ xiert ist (s. Abbildung).

♦ Überprüfen Sie den Einbaurahmen auf festen Halt. ♦ Verbinden Sie den ISO-Buchsen-Block des Gerätes mit den beiden ISO-

Steckern Ihres Fahrzeugs.

♦ Verbinden Sie das Antennenkabel der Fahrzeugantenne mit der Antennen-

buchse

Sie gegebenenfalls benötigen, erhalten Sie in Fachwerkstätten, im Fachhan-

del oder in den Fachabteilungen der Warenhäuser.

♦ Führen Sie das Kabel der Mikrofoneinheit in den Einbauschacht und schließen

Mögliche Beschädigung der Kabel!

► Beachten Sie beim Einschieben die Verlegung der Kabel, um eine Beschädigung

zu vermeiden. Bei beschädigten Kabeln besteht Brandgefahr!

♦ Schieben Sie das Gerät vorsichtig in den Einbaurahmen 39, bis es einrastet. ♦ Nachdem alle Verbindungen hergestellt sind, betätigen Sie die Taste RESET

mit einem Kugelschreiber oder anderem spitzen Gegenstand.

♦ Setzen Sie das Bedienteil ein, wie unter „Bedienteil einsetzen“ beschrieben. ♦ Setzen Sie anschließend den Blendrahmen 38 auf.

Das Gerät ausbauen

Um das Gerät wieder auszubauen, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

♦ Entfernen Sie den Blendrahmen . ♦ Führen Sie den rechten und den linken Schlüssel 40 in den jeweiligen Schlitz

an den Seiten des Gerätes ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Erhöhungen an

den Schlüsseln nach außen zeigen (Die Laschen sind nun zurückgebogen.).

♦ Ziehen Sie das Gerät heraus.

Inbetriebnahme

Bedienteil

Zum Schutz vor Diebstahl, können Sie das Bedienteil Ihres Gerätes abnehmen. Bewahren Sie das abgenommene Bedienteil nicht in Ihrem Fahrzeug auf.

HINWEIS

Wenn das Bedienteil nicht in den Rahmen eingesetzt ist, blinkt am Gerät

►

die Diebstahlschutz-LED 21.

► Bewahren Sie das Bedienteil zum Schutz immer im Etui 37 auf.

Bedienteil einsetzen

♦ Setzen Sie das Bedienteil zuerst mit der linken

Seite in den Rahmen und neigen Sie es dabei

um ca. 15° nach oben.

♦ Drücken Sie dann die rechte Seite fest, bis sie

einrastet.

♦ Klappen Sie anschließend das Bedienteil nach

oben, bis es einrastet.

Überprüfen Sie, ob das Bedienteil richtig und fest mit dem Hauptgerät verbunden ist. Ist das Bedienteil nicht richtig eingebaut, kann es zu Fehlfunktionen bei der Bedienung des Gerätes kommen.

Bedienteil abnehmen

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste zum Entriegeln

des Bedienteils. Das Bedienteil kippt automa-

tisch nach vorne.

♦ Neigen Sie das Bedienteil um ca. 15° nach

oben und schieben Sie es nach links. Ziehen Sie

anschließend erst die rechte, dann die linke

Seite ab.

Erfolgt innerhalb von etwa 5 Sekunden keine Einstellung bzw. kein Tasten-

druck, kehrt das Gerät in die vorherige Betriebsart zurück. Geänderte Einstellungen werden gespeichert.

♦ Drücken Sie kurz die Taste / 19 zum Einschalten des Gerätes.

Im Display 6 erscheint die Anzeige WELCOME.

♦ Zum Ausschalten halten Sie die Taste / länger gedrückt. Im Display

erscheint die Anzeige GOOD BYE.

Radio zurücksetzen (RESET)

Um das Gerät in den Auslieferungszustand zurückzusetzen, drücken Sie die Taste RESET 23 mit einem spitzen Gegenstand, z.B. einem Kugelschreiber.

HINWEIS

►

Um an die Taste RESET zu gelangen, muss das Bedienteil vollständig abgenommen werden, siehe auch Kapitel „Bedienteil abnehmen“.

► Behebt ein Reset den vorliegenden Fehler nicht, wenden Sie sich bitte an

den Service (Kontaktinformationen siehe Garantiekarte).

Setzen Sie das Gerät zurück:

▯ bei der Erstinbetriebnahme, ▯ nach Anschluss der Kabel, ▯ wenn nicht alle Funktionstasten funktionieren, ▯ bei Erscheinen einer Fehlermeldung im Display, ▯ bei oﬀ ensichtlichen Fehlfunktionen des Gerätes.

Einstellungen

WARNUNG

Gehörschäden durch zu hohe Lautstärke!

Eine zu hohe Lautstärke kann Ihr Gehör dauerhaft schädigen.

► Stellen Sie nur eine mäßige Lautstärke ein.

Lautstärke

♦ Drehen Sie den Multiregler 3, um die Lautstärke einzustellen.

Loudness

♦ Halten Sie die Taste MD/LD 5 gedrückt, um die Loudness-Funktion ein-

oder auszuschalten. Im Display erscheint LOUD ON bzw. LOUD OFF.

Stummschaltung ein- / ausschalten

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste / 19, um den Ton auszuschalten. Im Display

blinkt MUTE.

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste / erneut, um den Ton wieder einzuschalten.

Beim Empfang eines PTY- oder TA-Senders und bei Sender- oder Quellwech-

sel wird die Stummschaltung aufgehoben.

Betriebsart einstellen

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste MD/LD 5, um zwischen Radioempfang (Frequenzan-

zeige), CD/MP3-Betrieb (CD PLAY), USB-Anschluss (USB PLAY), Kartenfach

(SD PLAY), Audio-Streaming (BT MUSIC oder A2DP) und Audioeingang (AUX)

zu wechseln.

HINWEIS

Die Betriebsarten CD PLAY, USB PLAY, SD PLAY und BT MUSIC lassen sich nur aufrufen, wenn das entsprechende Medium eingelegt bzw. ein Mobiltelefon verbunden ist.

PH BOOK - Telefonbuch-Funktion

Sie können bis zu 20 Kontakte (Telefonbucheinträge) des verbundenen Mobiltelefons auf das Gerät übertragen und so vom Gerät aus die Kontakte auswählen und anrufen.

Sie können einen externen aktiven Subwoofer anschließen, um einen kräftigeren Basseﬀ ekt zu erzeugen.

ADJ - Uhrzeit

Das Gerät ist mit einer RDS-gesteuerten Uhr ausgestattet. Die Uhr stellt sich

Bei eingeschalteter EON-Funktion schaltet das Radio zu Verkehrsfunk oder PTYTypen um, wenn die TA- oder PTY-Funktion aktiviert worden ist.

auszuschalten (EON OFF).

AUTO DIM - Displaybeleuchtung

♦ Drehen Sie den Multiregler, um folgende Einstellungen vorzunehmen:

AUTO D IM: Die Displaybeleuchtung wird in Abhängigkeit der Lichtverhältnisse

automatisch eingestellt (Auslieferungszustand).

MAN DIM: Die Displaybeleuchtung kann in zwei Stufen (H = High und L = Low)

durch Drehen des Multireglers eingestellt werden.

AF - Alternative Frequenzen ein-/ausschalten

♦ Drehen Sie den Multiregler 3, um folgende Einstellungen vorzunehmen:

AF ON: Bei eingeschalteter AF-Funktion sucht das Gerät nach der optimalen

PI - Program Identiﬁ cation (Ton beim Suchlauf von Sendern)

Der Program Identiﬁ cation Code (PI) ist ein senderinterner Identiﬁ kationscode, der unter anderem bei der Suche nach Alternativenfrequenzen eingesetzt wird. Er besteht aus einer 16-bit-Zahl, die eine eindeutige Identiﬁ kation des Senders ermöglicht.

♦ Drehen Sie den Multiregler, um folgende Einstellungen vorzunehmen:

PI SOUND: Sendersuchlauf mit Ton. PI MUTE: Beim Sendersuchlauf ist der Ton stummgeschaltet.

RETUNE (Suchzeiten von Sendern mit PI-Kennung)

♦ Drehen Sie den Multiregler, um folgende Einstellungen vorzunehmen:

RETUNE L: Der Suchvorgang nach einem Sender mit der richtigen PI-Kennung

läuft 90 Sekunden.

RETUNE S: Der Suchvorgang nach einem Sender mit der richtigen PI-Kennung

läuft 30 Sekunden.

MASK (Bestimmte Sender verbergen)

♦ Drehen Sie den Multiregler, um folgende Einstellungen vorzunehmen:

Radiofunktionen

Frequenzbereich wählen

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste BD/ENT 15, um zwischen UKW (F 1, F 2, F 3) und

Sender automatisch suchen

♦ Drücken Sie kurz die Tasten ▸▸I 2 oder I◂◂ 17, um einen Sendersuchlauf

zu starten. Bei einem gefundenen Sender wird die Suche angehalten.

Sender manuell einstellen

♦ Halten Sie eine der Tasten ▸▸I oder I◂◂ für zwei Sekunden gedrückt Im

Display 6 erscheint MANUAL.

♦ Drücken Sie nun die Tasten ▸▸I oder I◂◂, um die Frequenz in Schritten

von 0,05 MHz (UKW) bzw. 9 kHz (MW) zu ändern, bis die gewünschte Frequenz eingestellt ist.

Wenn etwa zwei Sekunden lang keine Taste gedrückt wird, ist wieder die automatische Sendersuche eingestellt. Im Display erscheint AUTO.

Sender speichern

Für jeden Frequenzbereich können 6 Sender gespeichert werden.

♦ Halten Sie für ca. 2 Sekunden eine der Tasten 1/PAU bis 6/FL+ (14 - 9) ge-

drückt, um den aktuell eingestellten Sender zu speichern. Die erfolgreiche Speicherung wird durch das Anzeigen der Nummer 1 bis 6 im Display signalisiert.

Sender mit alternativen Frequenzen suchen

♦ Drücken Sie die Taste SCAN/REC 18, um den UKW-Bandbereich nach

Sendern mit AF-Signal zu durchsuchen.

Der Suchlauf hält bei jeden gefundenen Sender für 5 Sekunden an und läuft dann weiter.

♦ Wenn Sie den Sender hören und speichern möchten, drücken Sie die Taste

SCAN/REC, um den Suchlauf anzuhalten.

♦ Halten Sie für ca. 3 Sekunden eine der Tasten 1/PAU bis 6/FL+ gedrückt,

um den aktuell eingestellten Sender zu speichern. Die erfolgreiche Speicherung wird durch das Anzeigen der Nummer 1 bis 6 im Display signalisiert.
