Warning

Important information

Be sure to mount the attachment after each

use. Otherwise, infants may remove the blade and accidentally swallow it, or the blade may be deformed.

Apply the oil to the blade before and after each use.

(See page 17.) Failure to apply the oil may cause the following problems.

- The blade has become blunt.

- Shorter operating time.

- Louder sound.

The appliance may become warm during operation

and/or charging. This is normal.

Before using an attachment, check that it has been

installed correctly. Failure to do so may cause beard to be cut too short.

Store the main body in a place with low humidity after

use. Failure to do so may cause malfunction due to

condensation or rust. The appliance should not be used on animals. Charge the appliance correctly according to these

Operating Instructions. (See page 11 “Charging”.) This appliance contains battery that is only

replaceable by skilled persons. Please contact an

authorized service centre for the details of repair.

•If you charge the appliance with power switch turned on, it will start working when you remove from the AC adaptor.

•The charge indicator lamp continues to glow after charging is complete. There is no indication to show that “charging is complete”.

Notes

•To keep charging the battery will not affect battery performance.

•If there is noise from the radio or other sources while using or charging the appliance, move to a different location to use the appliance.

•You cannot operate the trimmer while charging.

•When the appliance is not used for 6 months or more,thebatterywillweaken(leakbatteryuid,

etc.). Fully charge the battery once every 6 months.

•You can charge the battery before it is completely discharged. However, it is recommended to charge when the battery is completely discharged. The battery life depends strongly on factors such as how it is used and stored.

•Recommended ambient temperature for charging is 0 °C-35 °C. Battery performance may decrease outside of the recommended temperature.

•A full charge supplies enough power for approximately 60 minutes of use. (ER-GB44) A full charge supplies enough power for approximately 50 minutes of use. (ER-GB43) (Based on dry using at 20 °C-30 °C.) The operating time may differ depending on the frequency of use and the operating method.

•Whentheapplianceischargedfortherst

time or it has not been in use for more than 6 months, the charging time may change or the

chargeindicatorlampmaynotglowintherst

few minutes. In addition, the operating time may become shorter. Please charge it for more than 19 hours in such cases.

How to use

Using the trimmer

Make sure that the main body is turned off. The appliance may not operate in an ambient

temperature lower than approximately 0 °C.

Mount the comb attachment and adjust the

trimmingheightasneeded.(Seepage13.)

•It can also be used without the comb attachment. (Trimming height: approx. 0.5 mm)

•Actual beard length will be a little longer than the height you set.

Press the power switch to turn on

thepower.

Using the comb attachment

•Make sure that the main body is turned off.

•Be careful not to cut your hand with the blade when

attaching or removing the comb attachment.

•Trimming your beard or moustache without an attachment will trim hair length to approx. 0.5 mm.

Wet trimming

Trimming without the comb attachment

Cut your beard or downy hair with water or facial cleanser on your face. Wet trimming will decrease the friction, allowing a smooth touch. Wet trimming is recommended to trim a fuller beard to a length of 0.5 mm without an attachment.

Notes

•Do not use any shaving creams as these may cause a decrease in cutting performance due to scoring of the blades.

•Make sure to rinse the main body with water and apply the oil to the blades after wet trimming.

Cleaning the trimmer

•Clean the main body and the blade after each use. (If not cleaned, the motion will become poor and the sharpness will worsen.)

•Do not use thinner, benzine, alcohol or other chemicals. Doing so may cause failure, cracking or discoloration of the main body. Wipe the main body only with a soft cloth slightly dampened with tap water or soapy tap water.

•Make sure that the main body is turned off.

3. Run water down the water inlet at the front of the main body,

Cleaning with a brush

1. Remove the main body from the AC adaptor.

2. Remove the comb attachment and blade.

3. Brush off any hair trimmings from the main body and from around the blade.

•Rinse with water and shake up and down several times to remove the water.

•Be careful not to hit the main body on the sink or any other object while draining the water. Failure to do so may cause malfunction.

4. Brush any hair trimmings out from between the stationary blade and the moving blade while pressing down the cleaning lever to raise the moving blade.

5. Apply the oil to the blade.

6. Attach the blade and comb attachment to the main body.

Removing the blade

Hold the main body, place your thumb against the blades, and then push them away from the main body.

Mounting the blade

Fit the mounting hook into the blade mounting on the main body, and then push in until you hear a click.

Troubleshooting

Perform the following actions. If the problems still cannot be solved, contact the store where you purchased the unit or a service centre authorized by Panasonic for repair.

Problem Action

Until problems are solved, please follow each procedure as follows:

1. Charge the main body.

The main body has become blunt.

The operating time is short.

The main body stopped working.

(See page 11.)

2. Clean the blade and apply oil. (See pages 15 to 17.)

3. Replace the blade. (See page 17.)

4. Have the battery replaced by an authorized service centre.

Charge the battery for approximately 19 hours continuously to rejuvenate it. If few uses remain even after charging, the battery has reached the end of its life. (Fluid may be leaking due to degradation at the end of battery life.) Contact an authorized service centre for repair.

Problem Action

Push the main body into the charging plug all the way

The main body cannot be charged.

The main body cannot be properly cleaned even after water is poured from the water inlet.

Blade life





Blade life varies according to the frequency and period of use of the main body. For example, the blade life is approximately 3 years when using the main body for 5 minutes 10 times a

Batterylife

Battery life will vary according to the frequency and length of use. If the battery is charged once a month, the service life will be approximately 3 years.

Iftheoperatingtimeissignicantlyshorterevenafter

a full charge, the battery has reached the end of its life.

Removingthebuilt-inrechargeablebattery

Removethebuilt-inrechargeablebatterybefore disposingofthemainbody.

The battery is to be disposed of safely. Please make sure that the battery is disposed of at an

ofciallydesignatedlocationifthereisone. Thisguremustonlybeusedwhendisposingofthe

main body, and must not be used to repair it. If you dismantle the main body yourself, it will no longer be waterproof, which may cause it to malfunction.

•Remove the main body from the AC adaptor.

•Press the power switch to turn on the power and then

keep the power on until the battery is completely discharged.

•Perform steps 1 to  and lift the battery, and then remove it.

•Take care not to short-circuit the positive and negative terminals of the removed battery, and insulate the terminals by applying tape to them.





















Handhabung des ausgebauten Akkus beim Entsorgen

Vor und nach jedem Gebrauch Öl auf der Klinge

auftragen. (Siehe Seite 36.) Wird kein Öl aufgetragen, können folgende Probleme entstehen.

Der Trimmer kann während des Gebrauchs und/oder

des Ladens warm werden. Das ist normal.

Bevor Sie Zubehör verwenden, prüfen Sie, dass es

richtig montiert wurde. Ansonsten kann es passieren, dass der Bart zu kurz geschnitten wird.

Lagern Sie den Bartschneider nach dem Gebrauch

an einem Ort mit niedriger Luftfeuchtigkeit. Ansonsten kann es infolge von Kondenswasser oder Rost zu

Fehlfunktionen kommen. Das Gerät sollte nicht an Tieren angewendet werden. Laden Sie das Gerät korrekt entsprechend dieser

• Wenn Geräusche vom Radio oder anderen

Quellen während des Gebrauchs oder des Ladevorgangs zu hören sind, verwenden Sie das Produkt an einem anderen Ort.

• Während des Ladevorgangs können Sie das Gerät nicht verwenden.

• Wenn das Gerät 6 Monate oder länger nicht verwendet wird, wird der Akku schwächer

(Akkuüssigkeit läuft aus usw.). Laden Sie den

Akku alle 6 Monate vollständig auf.

• Sie können den Akku auaden, bevor er

vollständig entladen ist. Es wird jedoch empfohlen, ihn aufzuladen, wenn er vollständig entladen ist. Die Lebensdauer des Akkus hängt stark von einigen Faktoren ab, zum Beispiel wie das Gerät verwendet und aufbewahrt wird.
