Device settings can be viewed using a status monitor screen on the monitor of a
connected personal computer.

Managing and Editing Image data is easy with the standard
Panasonic Document Management Software.
Panasonic Document Management Software is a personal computer application that allows you to gather, analyze and
adjust digital image data. The software is contained on the CD-ROM included with the machine.

image editing software).

Document Manager
Document Manager provides thumbnail views of scanned documents,
which simplifies the task of rearranging or sorting documents.
Image File Sharing For added versatility, network sharing is possible.
Once a document file has been scanned and converted into a Document
Manager file and stored in the “Shared Folder”, it can be accessed by
other networked PCs.
Desktop PC-Faxing
With the provided “Panafax Desktop” installed, users can easily send or receive a fax
directly from/to their PC without printing it. If they register the “Panafax Desktop”
as “launching software” in the Document Manager, they can take advantage of an
even more convenient PC-Faxing using the simple “drag & drop” operation.
If their e-mail client software is registered as a launch icon, users can take advantage
of an even more convenient automated operation. They just drop the target image
file onto the e-mail client icon. The registered e-mail client will start automatically
and open a new message with the target image file attached. (Scan-to-E-mail).

Importing Files from Other Programs In addition to image files scanned
by the DP-2010/1810, the Document Management software also lets
users import other PC documents – such as those created by a word
processor, spreadsheet, etc. Once the document files have been imported
as image data, they can be managed in the same way as scanned files,
using the drag & drop operation.
PDF Format Output In addition to image formats like
BMP or JPEG, scanned or imported files can be saved
and output as PDF format files, allowing them to be
viewed without requiring the original application.
(Saving files in PDF format is possible even if Adobe
®
Acrobat®software is not installed in the computer.)

performance of multiple jobs. This multi-tasking capability
significantly reduces waiting time for both fax and print

Energy Saver Mode4.
These modes can save power while the machine is not in use.
Energy Saver Mode
1) To enter this mode, press the Energy Saver key, or the machine can be set to automatically
enter this mode after 15 minutes from the last operation. The indicator will flash.
2) To cancel this mode and make copies, press the Energy Saver key again.
Sleep Mode
1) Automatically enters the Sleep Mode after 30 minutes from the last operation.
The copier power will drop and the indicator will light.
2) To make copies, press the Energy Saver key.
