RAIN SENSITIVE WIPERS Tip: For the rain sensitive wiper
function move the right-hand stalk switch to position (B) and rotate the rotary collar (A) to AUTO – see Driver’s Handbook, Section 4.
The rotary collar (A) is for selecting AUTO (rain sensitive wiper operation) or intermittent wipe delay speeds.

AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
See Driver’s Handbook, Section 5.
• Optimum temperature control and comfort is achieved by selecting AUTO.
•Operate withA/C on throughout the year to reduce the risk of misting.
• A/C operates automatically in DEFROST and partial screen modes to maximize screen clearance. A/C cannot be switched off in DEFROST.
• Recirc is automatically cancelled in DEFROST and in partial screen modes as it contributes to misting. Recirc cannot be selected in DEFROST.
• It is normal for condensate puddles to occur under the vehicle, particularly in hot/humid conditions.
Forward alert warns for moving objects ahead with a chime and ‘DRIVER INTERVENE’ message. It will not apply the brakes. It can be switched ON and OFF: The tell-tale is lit when the warning is on.
Tip: Forward alert is most useful in traffic on main roads. Start with the most sensitive setting (most dashes in the display [C]), then reduce the sensitivity to suit your driving style. Occasional inappropriate audible warnings may be given.
WARNING: Adaptive cruise control is not a collision warning or avoidance system. It will not react to stationary objects – see Driver’s Handbook, Section 4.
The luggage compartment can be released as follows:
• By pressing any of (A), (C) or (D).
• Unlock using black-headed key (B).
• The green-headed ‘VALET’ key will not unlock the luggage compartment.
Note: Pressing VALET switch (E) inhibits the remote release switch to ensure luggage compartment security.
See Driver’s Handbook, Section 2.
