Instructions for Use

Description

Syntac is a proven enamel-dentin adhesive system for direct
and indirect restorations. It can be used in combination
with both light- and self-curing composites.The light-curing
bonding agent Heliobond must be used prior to the applica­tion of the composite.

Composition

Syntac Primer contains triethylene glycol dimethacrylate,
polyethylene glycol dimethacrylate, maleic acid and ace­tone in an aqueous solution.
Syntac Adhesive contains polyethylene glycol dimethacry­late and glutaraldehyde in an aqueous solution.
Heliobond contains Bis-GMA, triethylene glycol
dimethacrylate, stabilizers and catalysts.

Indications

– Adhesive for direct composite restorations
– Adhesive for indirect restorations

Contraindications

Do not use Syntac or Heliobond if a patient is known to be
allergic to any of the materials' ingredients or if the stipu­lated working technique cannot be employed.

Side effects

In rare cases, components of Syntac or Heliobond may lead
to sensitization. In these cases,Syntac or Heliobond should
no longer be used.

Interactions

Materials containing eugenol or clove oil may inhibit the

Application
Note:
Do not mix Syntac Primer and Syntac Adhesive.
Apply the products sequentially!

1. A dry operating field must be ensured. Ideally, a rubber
dam or the user-friendly OptraDam

2. In very deep cavities, areas close to the pulp should be

selectively coated with a calcium hydroxide liner (e.g.
ApexCal) and subsequently covered with pressure-resis­tant cement (glass ionomer cement, e.g.Vivaglass Liner).

3. Apply phosphoric acid gel (e.g.Total Etch) first to the
prepared enamel and then to the dentin surfaces.The
etchant should be left to react on the enamel for 15 to
30 seconds, and on the dentin for 10 to 15 seconds.
Dentin etching is an optional working step and is not
required for Syntac. Following this, remove all etchant
gel with a vigorous water spray for at least 5 seconds.
Excess moisture should be removed leaving the dentin
surface with a slightly glossy wet appearance (wet
bonding).
Excess moisture should be removed with either air
syringe, a dry brush,a foam pellet or other lint-free
absorbents.

Do not overdry the dentin!

4. Apply Syntac Primer with the brush on the cavity and
gently rub in. Syntac Primer requires a contact time of at
least 15 seconds on the dentin.

5. Disperse excess Syntac Primer and dry thoroughly.
Do not rinse.

6. Apply Syntac Adhesive, leave it for 10 seconds and thor­oughly dry the cavity with an air syringe. Do not rinse.

7. Apply Heliobond and blow to a thin layer.

Note:

At this point, Heliobond must be light-cured for direct
restorations. For the placement of indirect restorations,
Heliobond is polymerized together with the cementation
material.

8. Light-cure Heliobond for at least 10 seconds with a
polymerization light using a light intensity of at least
500 mW/cm

9. Apply the restorative (e.g.Tetric EvoCeram) or cementa-

Special notes

A Syntac does not contain any polymerization initiators.

Therefore,the subsequent application of the light-curing
bonding agent Heliobond is mandatory.

B When cementing lab-fabricated inlays, crowns or

veneers with low-viscosity,light- or dual-curing luting
composites (e.g. Dual Cement orVariolink II), Heliobond
should not be light-cured separately.Heliobond should
be polymerized together with the luting composite (Dual
Cement or Variolink II) to assure the accurate fit of the
restoration.

C If self-curing composites are used, the light-curing bond-

ing agent Heliobond must be applied.The bonding
agent must be light-cured before the self-curing com­posite is applied.

D The solvent contained in Syntac Primer (acetone) is

highly volatile. If this solvent evaporates, the monomer
separates at 23 °C/73 °F and a mean drop size after
about 60 seconds.Therefore, the primer should be dis­pensed from the bottle immediately before application.
If several cavities are being restored, fresh primer should
be dispensed for each cavity.Do not use the primer after
the mentioned separation process has taken place.

Warnings

– Syntac Primer is an irritant and highly flammable.
– Heliobond is an irritant.
– Avoid contact of Syntac Primer, Syntac Adhesive or

Heliobond with skin, mucous membrane and eyes.
If the product comes in contact with the skin, rinse with
soap and water.

– If Syntac comes in contact with the eyes, immediately

rinse with copious amounts of water for at least
15 minutes and consult a physician/ophthalmologist.

– Syntac Adhesive contains glutaraldehyde and is detri-

mental to health if inhaled or swallowed.

– In rare cases, contact with skin may lead to a sensitiza-

tion to methacrylates and glutaraldehyde.

– Commercial medical gloves do not provide protection

against the sensitizing effect of methacrylates.

Storage

– Expiry date: see note on bottle/packaging.
– Immediately close the bottle with the original cap

after use.

– Storage temperature: 2–28 °C (36–82 °F).
– Do not use the material if Syntac Primer shows

clear signs of a change in consistency.

Beschreibung

Syntac ist ein bewährtes Schmelz-Dentin-Adhäsivsystem für
direkte und indirekte Restaurationen. Es kann sowohl in
Kombination mit licht- als auch mit selbsthärtenden Com­positematerialien verwendet werden. In jedem Fall muss
das lichthärtende Bonding Heliobond verwendet werden.

Zusammensetzung

Syntac Primer enthält Triethylenglycoldimethacrylat, Poly­ethylenglycoldimethacrylat, Maleinsäure und Aceton in
wässriger Lösung.
Syntac Adhesive enthält Polyethylenglycoldimethacrylat
und Glutaraldehyd in wässriger Lösung.
Heliobond enthält Bis-GMA,Triethylenglycoldimethacrylat,
Stabilisatoren und Katalysatoren.

Indikation

– Adhäsiv für direkte Compositerestaurationen
– Adhäsiv für indirekte Restaurationen

Kontraindikationen

Bei erwiesener Allergie gegen Bestandteile von Syntac oder
Heliobond oder wenn die vorgeschriebene Anwendungs­technik nicht möglich ist.

Nebenwirkungen

Bestandteile von Syntac bzw.Heliobond können in seltenen
Fällen zu einer Sensibilisierung führen. In diesen Fällen ist
auf eine weitere Anwendung von Syntac bzw. Heliobond zu
verzichten.

Wechselwirkungen

Eugenol-/nelkenölhaltige Werkstoffe können die Aushär­tung von Heliobond inhibieren.

Anwendung
Achtung:
Syntac Primer und Syntac Adhesive nicht mischen
sondern nacheinander auftragen!

1. Ein trockenes Arbeitsfeld ist zu gewährleisten, im Ideal­fall Arbeit mit Kofferdam oder dem anwenderfreundli­chen OptraDam

2. Bei sehr tiefen, pulpanahen Kavitäten diesen Bereich

punktförmig mit einem Calziumhydroxidpräparat (z.B.
ApexCal) abdecken und anschliessend mit einem druck­stabilen Zement überschichten (z.B. Glasionomerzement
wie Vivaglass Liner).

3. Mit Phosphorsäuregel (z.B.Total Etch) zuerst auf präpa­rierten Schmelz, dann auf Dentin auftragen. Die Säure
soll 15 - 30 Sekunden auf Schmelz und für 10 - 15
Sekunden auf Dentin einwirken. Die Dentinätzung ist ein
optionaler Arbeitsschritt und kann bei Syntac auch ent­fallen. Dann das Gel gründlich für mindestens 5 Sekun­den mit kräftigem Wasserstrahl abspülen und
überschüssige Feuchtigkeit so trocknen,dass danach
eine leicht feucht schimmernde Dentinoberfläche
erkennbar ist (wet-bonding).
Das kann mit dem Luftbläser oder mit einem trockenem
Pinsel, Schaumstoffpellet oder sonstigem fusselfreien
Absorbens durchgeführt werden.

Das Dentin nicht übertrocknen!

4. Syntac Primer mit Pinsel auf die Kavität auftragen und
leicht einreiben. Die Kontaktzeit des Syntac Primers mit
Dentin sollte mindestens 15 Sekunden betragen.

5. Überschuss von Syntac Primer verblasen und gründlich
trocknen. Nicht abspülen!

6. Syntac Adhesive auftragen, 10 Sekunden einwirken las­sen und die Kavität mit Luftbläser gründlich trocknen.
Nicht spülen!

7. Heliobond applizieren und dünn ausblasen.

Hinweis:

Heliobond muss bei direkten Restaurationen (Füllungen)
zu diesem Zeitpunkt lichtgehärtet werden. Bei indirekten
Restaurationen wird es erst zusammen mit dem Befesti­gungsmaterial polymerisiert.

8. Lichthärtung von Heliobond für mindestens 10 Sekun­den mit einer Polymerisationslampe mit einer Lichtinten­sität von mindestens 500 mW/cm
LOP Programm).

Besondere Hinweise

A Syntac enthält keine Polymerisationsinitiatoren.Aus

diesem Grund ist die anschliessende Anwendung des
lichthärtenden Bondings Heliobond vorgeschrieben.

B Bei der Befestigung von laborgefertigten Inlays,Kronen

oder Veneers mit dünnfliessenden licht- oder dualhär­tenden Befestigungscomposites (z.B. Dual Cement oder
Variolink II) sollte Heliobond nicht separat lichtgehärtet
werden. Die Polymerisation erfolgt dann erst zusammen
mit dem Befestigungscomposite (Dual Cement oder
Variolink II), um die Passgenauigkeit der Restauration
nicht zu beeinträchtigen.

C Kommen selbsthärtende Composites zurAnwendung,

muss auf jeden Fall das lichthärtende Bonding Helio­bond verwendet werden. Dieses muss vor demAufbrin­gen des selbsthärtenden Composites lichtgehärtet wer­den.

D Das im Syntac Primer enthaltene Lösungsmittel (Aceton)

ist leicht flüchtig. Verdunstet dieses Lösungsmittel, sepa­riert sich das Monomer bei 23 °C und einer mittleren
Tropfengrösse nach etwa 60 Sekunden. Den Primer des­halb erst unmittelbar vor der Applikation aus dem
Fläschchen entnehmen. Beim Versorgen mehrerer
Kavitäten muss ggf. der Primer jedes Mal neu dem
Fläschchen entnommen werden. Nach dem beschriebe­nen Separierungsprozess den Primer nicht mehr verwen­den.

Warnhinweise

– Syntac Primer ist reizend und leicht entzündlich
– Heliobond ist reizend.
– Kontakt von Syntac Primer, SyntacAdhesive oder Helio-

bond mit Haut, Schleimhaut und Augen vermeiden. Bei
Hautkontakt mit Wasser und Seife waschen.

– Bei Kontakt mit den Augen diese sofort gründlich minde-

stens 15 Minuten mit Wasser spülen und einen Arzt/
Augenarzt aufsuchen.

– Syntac Adhesive enthält Glutaraldehyd und ist gesund-

heitsschädlich beim Einatmen und Verschlucken.

– Hautkontakt kann in seltenen Fällen zu einer Sensibili-

sierung auf Methacrylate und Glutaraldehyd führen.

– Handelsübliche medizinische Handschuhe schützen nicht

vor Sensibilisierung auf Methacrylate.

Lagerhinweise

– Ablaufdatum: Siehe Hinweis auf Fläschchen/

Verpackung.

– Fläschchen nach Gebrauch sofort mit Originaldeckel

verschliessen.
– Lagertemperatur: 2–28 °C.
– Bei einer deutlichen Konsistenzänderung von Syntac

Primer das Material nicht mehr verwenden.

Mode d’emploi

Définition

Syntac est un système adhésif amélo-dentinaire éprouvé
pour les restaurations directes et indirectes. Il peut être
utilisé aussi bien en combinaison avec des composites
chémo que photopolymérisables. Dans tous les cas, l'agent
de liaison (bonding) photopolymérisable Heliobond doit
être utilisé avant l'application du composite.

Composition

Syntac Primer contient du triéthylène glycol diméthacry­late, du polyéthylène glycol diméthacrylate, de l’acide
maléique et de l’acétone en solution aqueuse.
Syntac Adhesive contient du polyéthylène glycol dimétha­crylate et du glutaraldéhyde en solution aqueuse.
Heliobond contient du Bis-GMA, du triéthylène glycol
diméthacrylate, des stabilisateurs et catalyseurs.

Indications

– Adhésif pour les restaurations composites directes
– Adhésif pour les restaurations indirectes

Contre-indications

Ne pas utiliser Syntac ou Heliobond chez un patient avec
une allergique connue à l'un des ingrédients des matériaux
ou si la technique de mise en œuvre décrite ne peut être
employée.

Effets secondaires

Dans de rares cas, les composants de Syntac ou d'Helio­bond peuvent provoquer des sensibilités. Dans ces cas, ne
plus utiliser Syntac ou Heliobond.

Interférences

Les matériaux contenant de l'eugénol ou de l'huile de clou
de girofle peuvent inhiber la polymérisation d'Heliobond.

Application
Attention :
Ne pas mélanger le primer et l’adhésif de Syntac mais
les appliquer l’un après l’autre !

1. S'assurer que le champ opératoire soit sec. Idéalement,

utiliser une digue telle que l'OptraDam

2. Dans les cavités très profondes, les zones proches de la

pulpe doivent être enduites de manière sélective d'un

liner à l’hydroxyde de calcium (par ex.ApexCal) et

ensuite être recouvertes d'un ciment résistant à la com-

pression (ciment verre ionomère, par ex.Vivaglass Liner).

3. Appliquer un gel à l'acide phosphorique (par ex.Total

Etch) d'abord sur l'émail préparé, puis sur les surfaces

dentinaires. Le gel de mordançage doit être laissé,pour

réagir : sur l'émail entre 15 et 30 secondes,et sur la

dentine entre 10 et 15 secondes. Le mordançage de la

dentine est une étape facultative et elle n'est pas

requise pour Syntac. Ensuite,éliminer tout le gel de mor-

dançage avec un spray d'eau énergique pendant au

moins 5 secondes. L'excédent d'humidité doit être éli-

miné en laissant la surface dentinaire avec une appa-

rence mouillée légèrement lustrée (liaison humide).

L'excédent d'humidité doit être éliminé avec une souf-

flette, un pinceau sec,une mousse ou tout autre absor-

bant non pelucheux.

Ne pas sursécher la dentine !

4. Appliquer Syntac Primer à l'aide d'un pinceau sur la

cavité et le frotter doucement à l'intérieur. Syntac Primer

nécessite un temps de contact d'au moins 15 secondes

sur la dentine.

5. Eliminer l'excédent de Syntac Primer et sécher délicate-

ment. Ne pas rincer.

6. Appliquer l'adhésif de Syntac, le laisser agir pendant 10

secondes et sécher avec précaution la cavité à la souf-

flette. Ne pas rincer.

7. Appliquer Heliobond et le répartir à la soufflette en une

fine couche.

Note :

A ce niveau, Heliobond doit être photopolymérisé pour

les restaurations directes. Pour la mise en place de res-

taurations indirectes, Heliobond est polymérisé avec le

matériau de scellement

8. Photopolymériser Heliobond pendant au moins
10 secondes avec une lampe à polymériser d'une inten­sité lumineuse d'au moins 500 mW/cm² (par ex.
bluephase en mode LOP).

9. Appliquer le matériau de restauration (par ex.Tetric
EvoCeram) ou le matériaude collage (par ex.Variolink II)
en respectant le mode d'emploi indiqué par le fabricant.

Précautions particulières

A Syntac ne contient pas de photo-initiateurs. C’est pour-

quoi l’application subséquente de l'agent de liaison
photopolymérisable Heliobond est une nécessité.

B Lors du collage d'inlays, de couronnes ou de facettes

avec des composites de collage photopolymérisables ou
duals avec une faible viscosité (par ex. Dual Cement ou
Variolink II), ne pas photopolymériser Heliobond séparé­ment. Heliobond doit être polymérisé avec le composite
de collage (Dual Cement ou Variolink II) afin d'assurer
l'adaptation précise de la restauration.

C Si des composites autopolymérisants sont utilisés,appli-

quer obligatoirement l'agent de liaison photopolyméri­sable Heliobond. Celui-ci doit être photopolymérisé
avant l’application du composite chémopolymérisable.

D Le solvant contenu dans Syntac primer (acétone) est

extrêmement volatile. Si ce solvant s’évapore, le mono­mère se sépare à 23°C, et au bout d'environ 60
secondes l'évaporation représente la quantité d'une
goutte. De ce fait,le primer doit être prélevé du flacon
juste avant l’application. Si plusieurs cavités doivent être
traitées, prélever le primer juste avant chaque applica­tion. Ne plus utiliser le primer si le processus de sépara­tion mentionné plus haut a commencé.

Consignes de sécurité

– Syntac Primer est irritant et très inflammable.
– Heliobond est irritant.
– Eviter le contact de Syntac Primer, Syntac Adhesive ou

Heliobond avec la peau, les muqueuses et les yeux. En
cas de contact avec la peau, rincer avec du savon et de
l'eau.

– Si Syntac entre en contact avec les yeux, rincer immédia-

tement et abondamment à l’eau pendant au moins 15
minutes et consulter un médecin ou un ophtalmologue.

– Syntac Adhesive contient du glutaraldéhyde et est

nuisible pour la santé si inhalé ou avalé.

– Dans de rares cas, un contact avec la peau peut

conduire à une sensibilisation aux méthacrylates et
glutaraldéhyde.

– Les gants à usage médical commercialisés n'apportent

pas de protection contre l'effet de sensibilisation des
méthacrylates.

Conditions de stockage

– Date de péremption : voir l'indication portée sur le fla-

con/l'emballage

– Bien refermer le flacon avec le bouchon d'origine immé-

diatement après usage.
– Température de stockage : 2–28 °C.
– Ne pas utiliser la matériau si Syntac Primer montre des

signes d'une modification de consistance.

Ne pas laisser à la portée des enfants !

Istruzioni d’uso

Descrizione

Syntac é un affermato sistema adesivo smalto dentinale per
restauri diretti ed indiretti. Può essere utilizzato in combina­zione con materiali compositi fotoindurenti e autoindurenti.
In ogni caso, deve essere utilizzato il bonding fotoindurente
Heliobond.

Composizione

Syntac Primer contiene trietileneglicoldimetacrilato,
polietileneglicoldimetacrilato, acido maleico ed acetone in
soluzione acquosa.
Syntac Adhesive contiene polietileneglicoldimetacrilato e
glutaraldeide in soluzione acquosa.
Heliobond contiene Bis-GMA, trietileneglicoldimetacrilato,
stabilizzatori e catalizzatori.

Indicazioni

– Adesivo per restauri diretti in composito
– Adesivo per restauri indiretti

Controindicazioni

L’uso é controindicato nel caso di allergia ad una delle
sostanze componenti Syntac oppure Heliobond, oppure
quanto non é possibile la tecnica di utilizzo prescritta.

Effetti collaterali

In rari casi componenti di Syntac oppure Heliobond pos­sono condurre a sensibilizzazione. In questi casi evitare un
ulteriore uso di Syntac oppure di Heliobond.

Interazioni

Sostanze contenenti eugenolo/olio di garofano possono
inibire l’indurimento di Heliobond.

Applicazione
Attenzione:
non miscelare Syntac Primer e Syntac Adhesive, ma
applicarli uno dopo l’altro!

1. Garantire un corretto isolamento del campo operatorio,

l’ideale sarebbe con diga in gomma oppure con la pra-

tica OptraDam

2. In caso di cavità profonde, vicine alla polpa,ricoprire in

modo puntiforme queste zone con idrossido di calcio

(p.es.ApexCal) e quindi stratificare con un cemento sta-

bile alla pressione (p.es.un cemento vetroionomero

come Vivaglass Liner).

3. Applicare acido fosforico (p.es.Total Etch) prima sullo

smalto preparato e quindi sulla dentina. L’acido deve

agire per 15 - 30 secondi sullo smalto e per 10 - 15

secondi sulla dentina. La mordenzatura della dentina é

una fase di lavoro opzionale e per Syntac può anche

essere tralasciata. Quindi eliminare accuratamente il gel

sciacquando con forte getto d’acqua ed asciugare l’umi-

dità in eccesso in modo tale che sia visibile una superfi-

cie dentinale leggermente umida (wet-bonding).

Questo é ottenibile con getto d’aria oppure con un pen-

nello asciutto, pellet in gommapiuma oppure altro assor-

bente privo di pelucchi.

Non asciugare eccessivamente la dentina!

4. Con un pennello applicare Syntac Primer nella cavitá

massaggiando leggermente. Il tempo di contatto del

Syntac Primer con la dentina dovrebbe essere di almeno

15 secondi.

5. Distribuire con getto d’aria le eccedenze di Syntac Pri-

mer ed asciugare accuratamente. Non sciacquare!

6. Applicare Syntac Adhesive, lasciare agire per 10 secondi

7. Applicare Heliobond e distribuire in strato sottile con

getto d’aria.

Avvertenza:

In caso di restauri diretti (otturazioni) Heliobond deve

essere fotoindurito in questo momento. In caso di

restauri indiretti invece si polimerizza unitamente al

cemento.

8. Fotopolimerizzazione di Heliobond per minimo
10 secondi con una lampada fotopolimerizzante con
un’intensità luminosa di almeno 500 mW/cm
bluephase con programma LOP).

9. Applicazione del materiale da restauro (p.es.Tetric
EvoCeram) oppure del cemento (p.es.Variolink II)
secondo le indicazioni del produttore.

Avvertenze particolari

A Syntac non contiene iniziatori della polimerizzazione.

Per questo motivo é prescritto il successivo impiego del
bonding fotoindurente Heliobond.

B Nella cementazione di inlays, corone o faccette realizzati

in laboratorio con cemento composito scorrevole fotoin­durente o ad indurimento duale (p.es.Dual Cement
oppure Variolink II) Heliobond non dovrebbe essere
fotoindurito separatamente. La polimerizzazione avviene
quindi soltanto insieme al cemento composito (p.es.
Dual Cement oppure Variolink II), per non compromet­tere la precisione del restauro.

C Utilizzando compositi autoindurenti, é in ogni caso

necessario utilizzare il bonding fotoindurente Heliobond,
che deve essere fotopolimerizzato prima dell’applica­zione del composito autoindurente.

D Il solvente contenuto in Syntac Primer (acetone) é vola-

tile. Se questo solvente evapora, dopo 60 secondi ca., il
monomero si separa a 23°C e ad una dimensione di una
goccia media. Per questo motivo prelevare il Primer dal
flacone soltanto poco prima dell’applicazione.Trattando
più cavità, eventualmente prelevare il Primer separata­mente per ogni cavità. Se si presenta in processo di
separazione descritto, non utilizzare più il Primer.

Avvertenze di pericolo

– Syntac Primer é irritante e facilmente infiammabile
– Heliobond é irritante.
– Evitare il contatto di Syntac Primer, Syntac Adhesive

oppure Heliobond con la cute, le mucose e gli occhi.In
caso di contatto cutaneo sciacquare con acqua e
sapone.

– In caso di contatto con gli occhi, sciacquare immediata-

mente gli occhi con acqua per almeno 15 minuti e con­sultare un medico/oculista.

– Syntac Adhesive contiene glutaraldeide ed é nocivo in

caso di inalazione o ingestione.

– In rari casi, il contatto cutaneo può condurre ad una

sensibilizzazione a metacrilati e glutaraldeide.

– I guanti usualmente in commercio non proteggono da

una sensibilizzazione a metacrilati.

Avvertenze di conservazione

– Scadenza: vedi avvertenza sul flacone/confezionamento.
– Chiudere il flacone con il tappo originale immediata-

mente dopo l’uso.
– Temperatura di conservazione: 2–28 °C.
– In caso di una notevole modifica di consistenza di

Syntac Primer,non utilizzare più il materiale.

Descripción

Syntac es un comprobado sistema adhesivo a esmalte y
dentina para restauraciones directas e indirectas. Syntac
puede utilizarse en combinación con composites autopoli­merizables y fotopolimerizables. El bonding fotopolimeriza­ble Heliobond, debe utilizarse antes de la aplicación del
composite.

Composición

Syntac Primer contiene trietilenglicol dimetacrilato,polie­tilenglicol dimetacrilato, ácido maleico y acetona en solu­ción acuosa.
Syntac Adhesive contiene polietilenglicol dimetacrilato y
glutaraldehido en solución acuosa.
Heliobond contiene Bis-GMA, trieltilenglicol dimetacrilato,
estabilizadores y catalizadores.

Indicaciones

– Adhesivo para restauraciones de composite directas
– Adhesivo para restauraciones indirectas

Contraindicaciones

No utilizar Syntac ni Heliobond si el paciente presenta aler­gias conocidas a cualquiera de los ingredientes de los
materiales o si la técnica de trabajo estipulada no puede
utilizarse.

Efectos secundarios

En casos aislados, los components de Syntac o Heliobond
pueden causar sensibilización. En estos casos no volver a
utilizar Syntac o Heliobond.

Interacciones

Materiales que contengan Eugenol o aceite de clavo pue­den inhibir la polimerización de heliobond.

Aplicación
Nota:
No mezclar Syntac Primer y Syntac Adhesive. Aplicar
los productos de forma consecutiva!

1. Debe asegurarse un campo de trabajo seco. Idealmente

puede utilizarse dique de goma o bien el cómodo

2. En cavidades muy profundas, las áreas próximas a pulpa

deben cubrirse selectivamente con un liner de hidróxido

de calcio (ej. Apexcal) y a continuación, cubrir con un

cemento resistente a la presión (cemento de ionómero

de vidrio ej. Vivaglass Liner)

3. Aplicar gel de ácido fosfórico (ej.Total Etch) primero en

el esmalte preparado y a continuación en la superficie

de dentina. El grabado debe dejarse reaccionar entre 15

y 30 segundos en esmalte y de 10 a 15 segundos en

dentina. El grabado de dentina es un paso de trabajo

opcional y no es necesario para Syntac.A continuación,

retirar el gel de grabado con abundante agua en spray

como mínimo durante 5 segundos. Debe retirarse el

exceso de humedad dejando la superficie de la dentina

húmeda, con una apariencia brillante (adhesión

húmeda). El exceso de humedad puede retirarse con

jeringa de aire, pincel seco, pellet de esponja u otros

absorbentes sin residuos.

¡ No resecar la dentina !

4. Aplicar Syntac Primer con el pincel en la cavidad, fro-

tando cuidadosamente. Syntac Primer require un tiempo

de contacto como mínimo en dentina de 15 segundos.

5. Dispersar el exceso de Syntac Primer y secar minuciosa-

mente. No lavar.

6. Aplicar Syntac Adhesive, dejar actuar durante 10 segun-

dos y secar minuciosamente la cavidad con jeringa de

aire. No lavar.

7. Aplicar Heliobond y soplar hasta una capa fina.

Nota:

En este punto, en restauraciones directas, Heliobond

debe fotopolimerizarse. Para la cementación de restau-

raciones indirectas, Heliobond se polimeriza conjunta-

mente con el material de cementación.

8. Fotopolimerizar Heliobond como mínimo 10 segundos

con una lámpara de polimerización utilizando una inten-

sidad de luz como mínimo de 500 mW/cm

(ej. bluephase en el programa LOP).

9. Aplicar el material de restauración (ej.Tetric EvoCeram)
o el material de cementación (ej.Variolink II) de acuerdo
a las instrucciones de uso del fabricante.

Notas especiales

A Syntac no contiene iniciadores de polimerización.Por

esta razón, la aplicación del correspondiente bonding
fotopolimerizable Heliobond es obligatoria.

B Cuando se cementen Inlays fabricados en laboratorio,

coronas o carillas con un cemento dual de baja viscosi­dad, foto o de polimerización dual (ej. Dual cement o
Variolink II) Heliobond, no debe fotopolimerizarse por
separado. Heliobond,debe fotopolimerizarse conjunta­mente con el composite de cementación (Dual Cement o
Variolink II) para asegurar el ajuste de la restauración.

C Si se utiliza un composite autopolimerizable,debe apli-

carse el bonding fotopolimerizable Heliobond. El bon­ding Heliobond, debe fotopolimerizarse,antes de la
aplicación del composite autopolimerizable.

D El solvente contenido en Syntac Primer (acetona) es

altamente volátil. Si el solvente se evapora,el monó­mero se separa a 23ºC/73ºF a los 60 segundos formando
una gota de tamaño medio. Por esta razón, el Primer
debe ser dispensado de la botella inmediatamente antes
de su aplicación. En el caso de que varias cavidades
deban ser restauradas, hay que dispensar Primer fresco
para cada cavidad. No utilizar el primer si el mencio­nado proceso de separación se ha producido.

Avisos importantes

– Syntac Primer es irritante y altamente inflamable.
– Heliobond es irritante.
– Evitar el contacto de Syntac Primer, Syntac Adhesive o

Heliobond con piel, membranas mucosas y ojos.Si el
producto entra en contacto con la piel, lavar con agua y
jabón.

– Si Syntac entra en contacto con los ojos, lavar inmedia-

tamente con abundante cantidad de agua como mínimo
durante 15 minutos y consultar con un
facultativo/oftalmólogo.

– Syntac Adhesive contiene glutaraldehido y es perjudicial

para la salud si se inhala o traga.

– En casos aislados, el contacto con la piel puede causar

sensibilización a los metacrilatos y glutaraldehido.
