Instructions for Use

Product Description

The cold-curing SR Ivolen is especially suitable for the
fabrication of individualized trays, base plates and
registration base plates.
In conjunction with the corresponding adhesive, SR Ivolen
can be used with most impression materials.

Methyl methacrylate and paraffin oil, catalyst

You may use excess to form tray handles.

After the material has self-cured for approx. 7 minutes,
trim the margins with burs or similar instruments. If
desired, you may also polish SR Ivolen.

Warnings

– The monomer contains methyl methacrylate (MMA)
– MMA is irritating and easily flammable (flash point:

+10 °C/50 °F)

– MMA is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory

system
– May cause sensitization upon skin contact
– Avoid contact of the skin with monomer or uncured

material. Commercial medical gloves do not provide

protection against the sensitizing effect of

methacrylates.
– Do not inhale vapours
– Keep away from sources of ignition – no smoking.
– Do not empty into drains.
– Take precautionary measures against static discharges

Indication

– Personalized impression trays
– Individualized base plates for:

– wax rims
– intra-oral registration devices (e.g. Gnathometer M)
– Tooth setup with wax
– Fabrication of incisal plates for personalized anterior

guidance (e.g. in Stratos

Contraindication

– Material must not be processed in the oral cavity.
– Material is unsuitable for alginates and hydrocolloids.
– If the patient is known to be allergic to any of the

ingredients in SR Ivolen.

Application

After blocking out undercuts, soak the cast and isolate
with Ivoclar Vivadent Separating Fluid.

Mix the polymer (powder) and monomer (liquid)
according to the Instructions: 1 measuring spoon of
SR Ivolen polymer to 6 ml of SR Ivolen monomer. Mix in
a mixing cup and spatulate well until the dough no
longer sticks to the mixing cup. Knead the dough for a
few more seconds. Wear gloves for kneading.

SR Ivolen can be immediately applied and shaped; the
material is not sticky. Alternatively, the material can be
pressed between 2 polyethylene sheets with a
compression roller to form a layer of uniform thickness.

Adapt SR Ivolen to the cast; shape with a suitable
instrument and cut off excess.

Storage

– Storage temperature: 2–28 °C / 36–82 °F. Protect

material from light.
– Do not use material after the indicated date of

expiration.
– Keep out of the reach of children.

Verarbeitungsanleitung

Produktbeschreibung

Das kalthärtende SR Ivolen eignet sich ausgezeichnet zur
Herstellung von individuellen Löffeln, individuellen
Basisplatten und Registrierunterlagen.
SR Ivolen kann mit den meisten Abformmaterialien unter
Benützung des jeweiligen Adhäsivs verwendet werden.

Der Überschuss kann zum Modellieren und Ansetzen

eines Löffelgriffes verwendet werden.

Nach einer rund 7-minütigen Aus härtung können die

Ränder mit Hilfe von Fräsen o.ä. bearbeitet werden.

Falls gewünscht, kann SR Ivolen auch poliert werden.

Gefahrenhinweise

– Monomer enthält Methylmethacrylat (MMA)
– MMA ist reizend und leicht entzündlich (Flammpunnkt:

+10°C)
– MMA reizt Augen, Atmungsorgane und Haut
– Sensibilisierung durch Hautkontakt ist möglich
– Hautkontakt mit Monomer und unausgehärtetem

Material vermeiden. Handelsübliche medizinische

Handschuhe bieten keinen Schutz gegen den

sensibilisierenden Effekt von Methacrylaten.
– Dämpfe nicht einatmen
– Von Zündquellen fernhalten. Nicht rauchen.
– Nicht in die Kanalisation gelangen lassen
– Massnahmen gegen elektrostatische Aufladung treffen

Kontraindikation

– darf nicht direkt im Munde verarbeitet werden
– nicht geeignet für Alginate und Hydrokolloide
– bei erwiesener Allergie gegen die Inhaltsstoffe

Verarbeitung

Nach dem Ausblocken von Unterschnittzonen das
Model wässern und mit Ivoclar Vivadent Separating
Fluid isolieren.

Pulver und Flüssigkeit nach Vorschrift dosieren:
1 Masslöffel SR Ivolen Pulver, 6 ml SR Ivolen Flüssigkeit.
Im Mischbecher gut durchspateln, bis sich die
Mischung aus dem Gefäss löst. Für einige Sekunden
von Hand kräftig durchkneten

SR Ivolen kann, ohne zu kleben, unmittelbar modelliert
werden oder zwischen zwei Kunststoff-Folien mit Hilfe
des Handrollers zu einer gleichmässigen Stärke
ausgewalzt werden.

SR Ivolen auf dem Modell adaptieren, mit einem
geeigneten Instrument zuschneiden und Überschuss
ent fernen.

Lagerungshinweise

– Lichtgeschützt, Lagertemperatur 2–28 °C
– Produkte nach Ablauf des Verfalldatums nicht mehr

verwenden
– Für Kinder unzugänglich aufbewahren

Mode d’emploi

Description du produit

SR Ivolen est un matériau autopolymérisant, utilisé pour la
fabrication de porte-empreintes individuels, de plaques- base
individuelles et de supports d'enregistrement.
SR Ivolen est compatible avec tous les matériaux pour
empreintes sous réserve de l'emploi de l'adhésif
correspondant.

Technique de coulée

Après s'être assuré que le modèle ne présente pas de
zones de contre-dépouille, l'humecter et l'isoler au
Separating Fluid

Doser liquide et poudre comme suit:
1 mesure de poudre SR Ivolen, 6 ml de liquide SR
Ivolen. Bien spatuler le mé lange dans le godet prévu à
cet effet, jusqu'à ce qu'il se détache de lui-même de la
paroi. Pétrir énergiquement la pâte pendant quelques
secondes à la main (porter des gants de protection)

SR Ivolen peut, sans attacher, être immédiatement
modelé ou placé entre 2 feuilles de polyéthylène et
aplati à l'aide du rouleur SR Ivolen afin d'obtenir une
plaque d'épaisseur uniforme.

Adapter SR Ivolen sur le modèle, le découper avec un
instrument approprié et retirer l'excédent.

L'excédent de pâte pourra être utilisé pour la
confection du manche du porte-empreinte

Le matériau SR Ivolen durcit en 7 mn. Passé ce délai,
les bords peuvent être travaillés à la fraise.
SR Ivolen peut également être poli.

Consignes de sécurité

– le monomère contient du méthacrylate de méthyle

(MMA)

– le MMA est irritant et s'enflamme facilement (point

d'éclair : + 10°C)

– le MMA irrite les yeux, les organes respiratoires et la

peau
– une sensibilisation par contact cutané n'est pas exclue
– éviter le contact cutané avec le monomère puis avec le

matériau non durci. Les gants à usage médical

disponibles sur le marché ne protègent pas contre les

effets de sensibilisation au méthacrylate.
– ne pas inhaler les vapeurs
– tenir éloigné des sources inflammables, ne pas fumer
– ne pas vider dans les canalisations
– prendre des mesures contre les charges

électrostatiques

Recommandations de stockage

– stocker le matériau à l'abri de la lumière. Temperature

de stockage : 2–28 °C
– ne plus utiliser le produit au-delà de la date de

péremption
– ne pas laisser à la portée des enfants
