Reference Doc: Following Service Bulletin from Dräger Medizintechnik GmbH:

• 6132.200 Babytherm 8000 OC # 8, June 2000

Reason: Dräger Medizintechnik GmbH has released a modification to the

Analog PCB.

Solution: Update of the Radiant Heater RH600 with the following action:

• Installation of a modified service exchange Logic PCB.
In addition the following actions will be performed to b ring field units up

to the latest configuration (not all units affected):

• Installation of Teflon sheaths according to TSB RH600 # 2 on units
shipped prior to April 1996 up to S/N ARKC-xxxx.

• Installation of a new swivel bearing according to TSB RH600 # 4 on
units shipped prior to May1996 up to S/N ARKD-0040.

Devices affected: All units Babytherm 8000 OC with Radiant Heater RH600 shipped prior

to July 2000 not labeled with "New Sensor Technology" on the keypad
of the RH600.

When: As soon as possible or latest at next Preventive Maintenance. Our

goal is to complete this action by mid of November 2000 latest.

Additional Info 1: The following strategy is planned for this action:

Returning of the complete Unit RH600 for an update to the In-House
Service in Telford.

Removal and installation can be done by TSRs and trained Biomeds.
For removal of the RH600 use the instructions in the document

"Removal and Shipping Instructions for the Radiant Heater RH600".

P/N SD6. We will send you this box free of charge.

Please call Customer Service at 1 800 4 DRAGER and ask for a RMA
number (RMA = Return Material Authorization). Send the Radiant
Heater RH600 with RMA # to:

Please ship with billing to Dräger Service.
The modified Radiant Heater RH600 will be sent back, onaverage,

within 4 working days with the necessary instructions for the installation.
In addition we will replace the battery P/N 83 01 856 and the T-K-RAM

P/N 18 28 142 in the Control Unit free of charge.
Please do not return all Radiant Heaters RH600 from one hospital at

once. We recommend sending back 1/4 of quantity at one time.
The returned Radiant Heater is to be installed according to the

document "Installation Instruction for RH600"

Additional Info 2: Return all affected spare parts in the field immediately to the in-house

Service in Telford for reworkin g:

- PCB Logic P/N 83 06 101

- Service Exchange PCB Logic P/N SE 83 06 101

- Electronic Unit P/N 83 06 000

Please return all removed parts as soon as possible with RMA number
(RMA = Return Material Authorization) for a modification to:
