Subject: The cooling fan is noisy.
Symptom: The customer complains the cooling fan is too noisy. The noise
level increases at a high-speed rotation due to the metal-bearings on the Fan.
Also, the noise will increase when the Fan is driven at a high-speed.
Solution:
fan.
The Metal bearing fan has been replaced with the Ball Bearing type

Serial Number:
The modification differs depending on the production date of the unit as outlined
below:
1) For units that were produced in April 2000 and the before. (Serial Number
004**** and before): Replace the Cooling Fan only.
2) The units that were produced in May 2000 and the after. (Serial
Number005**** and after):
Note: The JV23 Wire on the 1U-2301-1, Regulator Unit has been replaced
with a 82Ω resistor for reducing the rotation speed.•••• Replace the JV23, 82Ω
resistor with a Jumper Wire and replace the Fan with the new one.

CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE:
3) For the units whose ZD901, MTZJ12A has been temporarily replaced with
a MTZJ9.1C for the countermeasure. Replace the ZD901, MTZJ9.1C with
the original MTZJ12A, and replace the Fan with the improved style.
4) The units to which the modification for thermal protector has been applied
Note: The TR921, 2SD1763A has been cut off, and Jumpers JV52 and
JV53 have been connected and short circuited by means of a wire so that
the Fan rotates at a high speed regardless of the signal level. For these
units, replace the Fan with the improved one.
