system, the cooler must be removed.

4. Installation Requirements

3) Cooler Orientation

The cooler’s installation requires unobstructed space with dimensions of 127㎜
(width), 93㎜(length), 145㎜(height), and the CPU as a central reference point.
Please check if components such as ODDs and PSU protrude into the required
space.

Air guides on enclosures must be removed, before the cooler’s installation

, for

they protrude into the cooler’s required space.

It is recommended that the cooler be installed so that air flows from the cooler toward
the enclosure’s rear exhaust fan.

② Remove any foreign particles from the Base of the the cooler and the

surface of the CPU, then shake well the enclosed thermal grease and
apply a through layer of thermal grease on the surface of the CPU and
the Base of the cooler.

▶ Please make note of the Lever Slot’s direction when

installing the Clip Support.

④ Refer to Section 6 ‘Fan Mate 2 Installation and Usage’ for instructions on

power connection.

③ Insert a Bolt into both ends of the Intel Clip, then screw each Bolt a little

at a time, alternating between each Bolt, until the Clip is fully installed.

2) AMD Socket AM3 / AM2+ / AM2 / 754 / 939 / 940 Installation

① Remove any foreign particles from the Base of the the cooler and the

surface of the CPU, then shake well the enclosed thermal grease and
apply a through layer of thermal grease on the surface of the CPU and
the Base of the cooler.

▶ For installations with horizontal Clip

orientation, please be cautious to
not exert excessive force on the fan
while using a screwdrivers to install
the Clip.

③ Refer to Section 6 ‘Fan Mate 2 Installation and Usage’ for instructions on

power connection.

① Connect Fan Mate 2 between the

Fan Cable and the motherboard
as shown in the diagram below.

② Fan Mate 2 can be installed on the

side of the case using Double-Sided
Tape.

6. Fan Mate 2 Installation and Usage

1) Fan Mate 2 Installation

② Insert the AMD Clip Lever into the AMD Clip’s Clip Lever Slot, then hook

the opposite end on its Lug, press down on the Clip Lever and hook it
onto its Lug.

2) Fan Mate 2 Operation

Adjust the Fan Speed Control
Knob for RPM control.

In the case that you get a BIOS error beep:
① Rotate the Fan Speed Control Knob clockwise to the maximum setting.
② Disable CPU Fan Detected in BIOS setting or set the system monitoring

program’s CPU Fan RPM to the lowest setting.

※ Certain motherboards will not boot if the CPU fan’s RPM is not detected. In this

case inquire to the motherboard’s manufacturer for additional details.
