Power Packs
Before you connect the terminal power pack to an electrical outlet, check that the on/off power switch on the terminal is off. If the terminal
does not have an on/off switc h, check th at the po wer c abl e connector is removed fro m the term in al’s power port.

When connect ing the t erm ina l to a power pac k, always connect the plug of the power pack to an electrical wall outlet first. Then connect
the power cable to the te rminal’s power port.
The power pack is rated as follows:

Output Voltage: 12 V DC, 2 A
AC Adapter
The AC adapter is designed to ensure your personal safety and to be compatible with this equipment. Please follow these guidelines:
• Do not use the adapter in a high moisture environment. Never touch the adapter when your hands or feet are wet.
• Allow adequ ate vent ilation ar oun d th e adapter. Avoid locations with restricted airf lo w.
• Connect the ada pt er to a pro per power source. The voltage and grounding require ments are found on the prod uc t case and/ or
packaging.
• Do not use the adap te r if the cord becomes damage d.
• Do not attempt to servic e the adapter. There are no serviceabl e parts insi de. R epl ace th e uni t if it is damaged or exposed to excess
moisture.
Separate Power Sources
Some periphe rals require a separate power s ource. Before connect ing a chec k rea der or sim il ar device, remove the power cable
connector from the te rm inal ’s power port.
Peripherals
Before connect ing an y per iph eral dev ice, tu rn off power to the terminal and che c k that the pow e r cable connector is removed from the
terminal’s power port. Turn on power only after you are finished connecting the peripheral device(s). For complete information about

Caution: To reduce the risk of fire, use only No. 26 AWG or larger UL Listed or CSA Certified Telecommunication Line Cord.

Do not plug the power pack into an outdoor outlet or operate the terminal outdoors. It is not waterproof or dustproof, and is for indoor use
only. Any damage to the unit from exp osur e to rain or dust may void your w arrant y.
Do not use the terminal where there is high heat, dust, humidity, moisture, or caustic chemicals or oils. Keep the terminal away from direct
sunlight and anything that radiates heat, such as a stove or a motor.

Part 68 of FCC Rules
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC Rules. On the modem board inside full featured base stations is a label that
contains, among other information, the FCC registration number and ringer equivalence number (REN) for this equipment. If
requested, this information may be provided to the telephone company.
The REN is used to determine the quantity of devices that may be connected to the telephone line. Excessive RENs on the
telephone line may result in the device not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most, but not all areas, the sum of the RENs
should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to the line, as determined by the total
RENs, contact the telephone company to determine the maximum RENs for the calling area.
This terminal cannot be used on telephone-company-provided coin service. Connection to Party Line Service is subject to state
tariffs.
This equipment uses the following USOC jacks: (RJ11C).
An FCC-compliant telephone cord and modular plug is provided with this equipment. This equipment is designed to be connected
to the telephone network or premises wiring using a compatible modular jack that is Part 68 compliant.
If this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance that temporary
discontinuance of service may be required. If advance notice is not practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as
