This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of
the device after its lifecycle could harm the environment. Do not
dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it
should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device
should be returned to your distributor or to a local recycling service.

If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

Thank you for choosing Velleman! Please read the manual thoroughly before bringing
this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and
contact your dealer.

The SHE11 is an easy-to-use ear thermometer with high-speed temperature
reading, ambient temperature reading, alarm, clock and memory function.

2. Safety Instructions

• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered
by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing
defects or problems.

• Clean the probe with a clean tissue and some rubbing alcohol. Do not immerse
the thermometer in liquids.

• Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes
in temperature. Protect the device against extreme temperatures, shocks and
abuse.

• For accurate measurements, do not measure the body temperature within 30
minutes after meals, exercise or a bath.

• Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by
the warranty.

6. How to Use the Thermometer

• Time and Ambient Temperature

Set the time at first use or after installing a new battery. Open the battery
compartment, press the time setting button. Set the hours with the scan button
and confirm with the time setting button. Now, set the minutes with the scan
button and confirm with the time setting button.

When the time is set and confirmed, the thermometer will
alternatively display the time and ambient temperature.

• Taking Someone’s Temperature – In-Ear

Press the scan button. The last measured temperature will
be displayed. Wait for the thermometer to beep twice.
Now, remove the cap. Insert the thermometer probe in the
ear and press the scan button. Wait for the beep and
remove the thermometer. Read the measured value from
the display.

A measured temperature exceeding 38.0°C or 100.4°F
will be indicated by one long and two short beeps, and the
fever icon.

• Taking Someone’s Temperature – Forehead

Press the scan button. The last measured temperature will
be displayed. Wait for the thermometer to beep twice.
Leave the cap onto the thermometer. Place the
thermometer against the forehead and press the scan
button. Wait for the beep and remove the thermometer.
Read the measured value from the display.

A measured temperature exceeding 38.0°C or 100.4°F will
be indicated by one long and two short beeps, and the
fever icon.

• Notes

Clean the thermometer probe after use and replace the cap on the thermometer.

The temperature taken on someone’s forehead is for reference only since the
environment, sweat, etc. can heavily influence the reading.

Switch on the thermometer. Press the scan button and wait 3 seconds to select
the °C or °F measuring unit.

• Battery Replacement

For accurate measuring, replace the battery as soon as the battery symbol is
displayed. Open the battery compartment, take out the old battery and replace
with 1 x CR2032 lithium battery. Insert the battery with the positive pole facing
upwards.

1. Inleiding

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na
zijn levenscyclus wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele batterijen)
niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een

gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit
toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de

De SHE11 is een eenvoudig te gebruiken thermometer met onmiddellijke
temperatuurmeting, meetfunctie van de omgevingstemperatuur, een alarm, een
klok en een geheugenfunctie.

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

• De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in

deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor
defecten of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.

• Reinig de sonde met een schone tissue en een beetje ontsmettingsalcohol.

Dompel de thermometer niet in vloeistoffen.

• Gebruik de thermometer niet onmiddellijk nadat hij werd blootgesteld aan

temperatuurschommelingen Bescherm hem tegen extreme temperaturen en
schokken.

• Stel de temperatuurmeting ongeveer 30 minuten uit na het eten, na een zware

fysieke inspanning of na het nemen van een bad.

• Schade door wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel

vallen niet onder de garantie.
