di alta qualità. Il manuale di istruzioni è parte integrante del presente prodotto.
Esso contiene importanti indicazioni sulla sicurezza, l'uso e lo smaltimento. Prima
di utilizzare il prodotto, acquisire dimestichezza con tutte le indicazioni relative
ai comandi e alla sicurezza. Utilizzare il prodotto solo come descritto e per le
applicazioni indicate. Conservare con cura il presente manuale di istruzioni. In
caso di cessione del prodotto a terzi, consegnare anche tutta la relativa documentazione.

Indicazioni di sicurezza
PERICOLO! FOLGORAZIONE!
► Assicurarsi che la base con i collegamenti elettrici non venga
mai a contatto con l'acqua! Se la base si bagnasse accidentalmente, farla asciugare completamente prima di rimetterla
in funzione.
► Utilizzare l'apparecchio solo con la base acclusa.
► Impedire che il cavo di rete si bagni o si inumidisca durante
l'uso dell'apparecchio. Disporlo in modo tale che non venga
schiacciato o possa essere danneggiato in altro modo.
► Al fine di evitare pericoli, fare sostituire immediatamente
spine o cavi danneggiati da personale specializzato autorizzato o dal centro di assistenza clienti.
► Dopo l'uso estrarre sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente.
Non è sufficiente spegnere l'apparecchio, poiché esso è
ancora sotto tensione fintanto che la spina è inserita nella
presa.

Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua o altri liquidi!
Sussiste il pericolo di scossa elettrica!
AVVERTENZA! PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Mettere in funzione l'apparecchio sempre e solo con il
coperchio chiuso, altrimenti il meccanismo di spegnimento
automatico non funziona. L'acqua in fase di ebollizione
potrebbe fuoriuscire dai bordi.
► Possono verificarsi perdite di vapore bollente. Inoltre, il
recipiente si surriscalda durante l'uso. Si consiglia quindi di
utilizzare presine idonee.
► Assicurarsi che l'apparecchio sia posizionato stabilmente e
in verticale prima di accenderlo. L'acqua in fase di ebollizione potrebbe far cadere un apparecchio posizionato in
modo instabile.
► Trattare il bricco con cautela. Il vetro rotto può causare gravi
lesioni da taglio.
► Non aggiungere mai una quantità di acqua superiore al
segno MAX. Altrimenti l'acqua in ebollizione può schizzare
e causare ustioni.
► Non aprire il coperchio mentre l'acqua bolle.
► Gli apparecchi possono essere utilizzati da persone con
capacità fisiche, sensoriali o mentali ridotte o insufficiente
esperienza o conoscenza solo se sorvegliate o istruite sull'uso
sicuro degli apparecchi e qualora ne abbiano compreso i
pericoli associati.
► Questo apparecchio può essere utilizzato dai bambini di
almeno 8 anni di età solo se sorvegliati o istruiti sull'uso
sicuro dell'apparecchio e qualora ne abbiano compreso
i pericoli associati.

AVVERTENZA! PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► La pulizia e la manutenzione a cura dell'utente non devono
essere eseguite da bambini, a meno che non abbiano
almeno 8 anni di età e siano sorvegliati.
► Tenere lontani dall'apparecchio e dal cavo di allacciamento
i bambini di età inferiore agli 8 anni.
► I bambini non devono giocare con l'apparecchio.
► Sorvegliare i bambini per assicurarsi che non giochino con
l'apparecchio.
► Non utilizzare timer esterni o un sistema di telecomando
separato per azionare l'apparecchio.

► Dopo l'ebollizione non versare immediatamente acqua
fredda nell'apparecchio. Nel vetro si possono formare
delle tensioni e il vetro potrebbe rompersi!

Prima del primo impiego
■ Rimuovere tutto il materiale di imballaggio dall'apparecchio.
■ Lavare accuratamente tutte le parti del sistema di infusione (camera di
infusione , tubo montante -, vaglio 3) e bricco (vedere il capitolo
"Pulizia e manutenzione").
Prima del primo impiego procedere come segue:
1) Rimuovere il bricco dalla base .
2) Riempire il bricco di acqua fino al segno MAX, aggiungere un cucchiaino
di succo di limone (o concentrato di limone). Se non sono disponibili limoni,
è possibile immergere una bustina di tè (o un cucchiaio di tè sfuso) direttamente nell'acqua.
3) Installare il sistema di infusione nel bricco .
4) Chiudere il coperchio e applicare il bricco alla base .
5) Accendere l'apparecchio dall'interruttore ON/OFF . La spia di controllo
e l'interruttore ON/OFF si accendono. Attendere lo spegnimento della
spia di controllo .
6) Spegnere l'apparecchio dall'interruttore ON/OFF e pulirlo come descritto
alla voce "Pulizia e manutenzione".
La teiera elettrica è ora pronta all'uso.
Uso
ATTENZIONE! DANNI MATERIALI!
► Non versare zucchero nella teiera elettrica. Non riscaldare latte o alcol
nella teiera elettrica. Ciò provoca danni irreparabili all'apparecchio.
NOTA
1) Rimuovere il bricco dalla base .
2) Aprire il coperchio e rimuovere il sistema di infusione. Appoggiare il

► Verificare che dal bricco non trabocchi acqua al fine di evitare ustioni e
scosse elettriche.
4) Rimuovere il sistema di infusione e tirare il tubo montante - con il vaglio 3
verso l'alto.
5) Inserire la quantità di tè desiderata o la bustina di tè nella camera di infusione .
NOTA
► Verificare che nell'apparecchio non restino etichette o fili di bustine.
6) Collocare nuovamente il sistema di infusione nel bricco . Verificare che
il tubo montante - entri nella cavità sul fondo del bricco . La camera di
infusione deve essere collocata con il lato piatto verso la maniglia .
7) Chiudere il coperchio .
8) Collocare il bricco nuovamente sulla base .
9) Inserire la spina in una presa di corrente e portare l'interruttore ON/OFF
in posizione "I". La spia di controllo e l'interruttore ON/OFF si accendono.
L'acqua viene portata a ebollizione, premuta verso l'alto attraverso il tubo montante - e fatta defluire attraverso la camera di infusione per tornare nuovamente nel bricco .
Dopo l'ebollizione dell'acqua, l'apparecchio torna automaticamente alla funzione di mantenimento in caldo. La spia di controllo si spegne, solo l'interruttore
ON/OFF resta acceso. Non appena l'acqua si raffredda, la teiera elettrica
riscalda nuovamente l'acqua. La spia di controllo si accende nuovamente
durante il processo di cottura.

NOTA
► Poiché l'acqua scorre nuovamente attraverso il sistema di infusione durante
il riscaldamento, dopo la prima procedura di infusione bisogna rimuovere il
sistema di infusione dal bricco .
AVVERTENZA! PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Il sistema di infusione è bollente! Sussiste il pericolo di ustioni! Utilizzare
guanti da cucina per toccare il sistema di infusione.
NOTA
► Quanto più a lungo si tiene calda la bevanda e quanto più liquido eva-
pora, tanto più forte sarà la bevanda. Pertanto consigliamo di bere il tè
possibilmente dopo la prima infusione.

■ La procedura di ebollizione può essere interrotta in qualsiasi momento:
A tal fine portare l'interruttore ON/OFF in posizione "0". La procedura di
ebollizione viene terminata.
■ Se si rimuove il bricco dalla base , la procedura di ebollizione viene
interrotta.
ATTENZIONE! DANNI MATERIALI!
► Lasciar raffreddare il bricco prima di aggiungere acqua fredda per
un'altra infusione! In caso contrario si verificano delle tensioni nel vetro
e il bricco può rompersi.
Protezione dal surriscaldamento
In caso di surriscaldamento, la protezione dal surriscaldamento disattiva l'elemento riscaldante all'interno dell'apparecchio. L'interruttore ON/OFF resta
acceso, ma l'apparecchio non riscalda più.
La protezione dal surriscaldamento si attiva quando il bricco presenta una
quantità di acqua insufficiente o nulla e ciononostante si accende l'apparecchio.
Se la protezione dal surriscaldamento ha spento l'elemento riscaldante, procedere come segue:
■ Fare raffreddare l'apparecchio.
■ Premere il tasto reset sul lato inferiore del bricco . L'apparecchio può
ora essere riutilizzato.
Pulizia e manutenzione
Per ottenere un risultato ottimale con ogni infusione, è preferibile pulire l'apparecchio dopo ogni uso. In questo modo si evita quanto segue:

► Prima di pulire, staccare sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente. Sussiste
il pericolo di scossa elettrica! Fare raffreddare l'apparecchio. Pericolo di
ustioni!
Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua o altri liquidi!
Sussiste il pericolo di scossa elettrica! L'apparecchio potrebbe danneggiarsi irreparabilmente.
– La combinazione di calcare e tannini, causata dall'ebollizione dell'acqua
e dalla preparazione del tè, compromette il funzionamento della teiera
elettrica.
– Se si usa la teiera elettrica regolarmente, è possibile che essa assorba
l'aroma dei tè molto aromatici e lo ceda ad altre qualità di tè.

■ Pulire il bricco della teiera elettrica solo con un panno umido. In caso
di sporco ostinato, versare un po' di detergente delicato sul panno. Lavare
quindi il bricco con abbondante acqua corrente, al fine di eliminare tutti
i residui di detergente. La cavità sul fondo del bricco può essere pulita
facilmente con una spazzola di pulizia.
ATTENZIONE! DANNI MATERIALI!
► Non utilizzare detergenti abrasivi, chimici o corrosivi. Essi potrebbero
danneggiare l'apparecchio in modo irreparabile.
■ Pulire il sistema di infusione con acqua calda e un detergente liquido:
■ Pulire la camera di infusione e il vaglio 3 con una spazzola di pulizia.
Pulire il tubo montante -con l'ausilio della spazzola per tubo montante .
Dopo la pulizia, lavare l'intero sistema di infusione con acqua pulita affinché
non restino residui di detergente.
Decalcificazione
Il tasso di calcare (grado di durezza) dell'acqua causa la calcificazione dell'apparecchio nel corso dell'uso. Il calcare danneggia il funzionamento dell'apparecchio,
riduce la qualità del tè e aumenta il consumo elettrico.
NOTA
► Informarsi presso la compagnia di fornitura dell'acqua sul grado di durez-
za della propria acqua di rubinetto. In caso di grado di durezza maggiore,
è necessario svolgere anticipatamente la decalcificazione, se il grado di
durezza è inferiore basta svolgerla in seguito. Utilizzare un prodotto decalcificante per apparecchi domestici e rispettare le istruzioni per l'uso.
1) Utilizzare un decalcificante comune a base di limone. Attenersi alle indicazioni riportate sulla confezione del decalcificante.
2) Installare il sistema di infusione nel bricco .
3) Aggiungere la soluzione decalcificante nel bricco . Non aggiungere mai
liquido oltre il livello indicato con MAX e mai al di sotto del livello indicato
con MIN nel recipiente.
4) Attendere 10 minuti e accendere l'apparecchio.
5) Lasciare riscaldare la soluzione e attendere che scorra attraverso il sistema
di infusione.
6) Se necessario, ripetere la procedura nuovamente. La soluzione decalcificante
può essere utilizzata nuovamente; tuttavia prima lasciarla raffreddare.
7) Una volta che il calcare è stato rimosso, lasciar riscaldare 2 - 3 cariche di
acqua pulita e farle scorrere attraverso il sistema di infusione.
8) Successivamente pulire il bricco e il sistema di infusione come descritto
nel capitolo "Pulizia e manutenzione".

Conservazione
■ Se non si utilizza l'apparecchio per un tempo prolungato, avvolgere il cavo
in senso antiorario intorno all'avvolgimento del cavo sul lato inferiore della
base e passare l'estremità attraverso il dispositivo alla base .
■ Conservare l'apparecchio in un luogo asciutto e privo di polvere.
Smaltimento
Non gettare per alcun motivo l'apparecchio insieme ai normali
rifiuti domestici. Questo prodotto è soggetto alla Direttiva europea RAEE 2012/19/EU (Rifiuti da Apparecchiature Elettriche ed
Elettroniche).
Far smaltire l'apparecchio da un'azienda di smaltimento autorizzata o dall'ente
di smaltimento comunale. Rispettare le norme attualmente in vigore. In caso di
dubbi mettersi in contatto con l'ente di smaltimento competente.
Smaltire tutti i materiali dell'imballaggio in modo ecologicamente conforme.

Questo apparecchio ha una garanzia di 3 anni dalla data di acquisto. Qualora
questo prodotto presentasse vizi, Le spettano diritti legali nei confronti del venditore
del prodotto. La garanzia qui di seguito descritta non costituisce alcun limite a
tali diritti legali.
Condizioni di garanzia
Il periodo di garanzia decorre dalla data dell’acquisto. Si prega di conservare lo
scontrino di cassa originale. Tale documento è necessario come prova di acquisto.
Qualora entro tre anni a partire dalla data dell’acquisto di questo prodotto si
presentasse un vizio del materiale o di fabbricazione, provvederemo, a nostra
discrezione, a riparare o a sostituire gratuitamente il prodotto. Questa prestazione
di garanzia ha come presupposto che l’apparecchio difettoso e la prova di acquisto
(scontrino di cassa) vengano presentati entro il termine di tre anni e che si descriva
per iscritto in cosa consiste il vizio e quando si è presentato.
Se il vizio rientra nell’ambito della nostra garanzia, il Suo prodotto verrà riparato
o sostituito da uno nuovo. Con la riparazione o la sostituzione del prodotto non
decorre un nuovo periodo di garanzia.

Periodo di garanzia e diritti legali di rivendicazione di vizi
Il periodo di garanzia non viene prolungato da interventi in garanzia. Ciò vale
anche per le parti sostituite e riparate. Danni e vizi eventualmente già presenti
al momento dell’acquisto devono venire segnalati immediatamente dopo che
l’apparecchio è stato disimballato. Le riparazioni eseguite dopo la scadenza del
periodo di garanzia sono a pagamento.
Ambito della garanzia
L’apparecchio è stato prodotto con cura secondo severe direttive qualitative e
debitamente collaudato prima della consegna.
La garanzia viene prestata in caso di vizi del materiale o di fabbricazione.
Questa garanzia non si estende a componenti del prodotto che sono esposti al
normale logorio e possono pertanto essere considerati come componenti soggetti
a usura o a danni che si verificano su componenti delicati, per es. interruttori, batterie,
stampi da forno o parti realizzate in vetro.
Questa garanzia decade se il prodotto è stato danneggiato oppure utilizzato o
sottoposto a interventi di manutenzione in modo non conforme. Per un utilizzo
adeguato del prodotto si devono rigorosamente rispettare tutte le istruzioni esposte
nel manuale di istruzioni per l’uso. Si devono assolutamente evitare modalità di
utilizzo e azioni che il manuale di istruzioni per l’uso sconsiglia o da cui esso mette
in guardia.
Il prodotto è destinato esclusivamente all’uso domestico e non a quello commerciale. La garanzia decade in caso di impiego improprio o manomissione, uso
della forza e interventi non eseguiti dalla nostra filiale di assistenza autorizzata.

■ Tenga a portata di mano per qualsiasi richiesta lo scontrino di cassa e il
codice dell’articolo (per es. IAN 12345) come prova di acquisto.
■ Il codice dell’articolo è indicato sulla targhetta di modello, su un’incisione,
sul frontespizio del manuale di istruzioni per l’uso (in basso a sinistro) o
come adesivo sul lato posteriore o inferiore.
■ Qualora si presentassero malfunzionamenti o altri tipi di vizi, contatti innan-

PERIGO! CHOQUE ELÉTRICO!
► Certifique-se de que a base, com as ligações elétricas,
nunca entra em contacto com água! Deixe a base secar
totalmente, caso tenha ficado húmida acidentalmente.
► Utilize o aparelho apenas com a base fornecida.
► Certifique-se de que, durante o funcionamento, o cabo de
alimentação nunca fica molhado ou húmido. Coloque o
cabo de modo que não possa ficar entalado nem ser
danificado.
► Cabos ou fichas danificados devem ser imediatamente
substituídos por técnicos autorizados ou pelo Serviço de
Apoio ao Cliente, de modo a evitar situações de perigo.
► Após a utilização, retire sempre a ficha da tomada. Não
é suficiente desligar o aparelho, uma vez que ainda existe
tensão de alimentação no aparelho enquanto a ficha se
encontra encaixada na tomada.

Nunca mergulhe o aparelho em água ou noutros líquidos!

AVISO! PERIGO DE FERIMENTOS!
► Utilize o aparelho sempre com a tampa fechada, caso con-
trário o dispositivo de desativação automática não funciona.
A água a ferver pode transbordar.
► Pode ser libertado vapor quente. Além disso, o bule fica
muito quente durante o funcionamento. Por esta razão, use
luvas de cozinha.
► Antes de ligar o aparelho, certifique-se de que este se
encontra numa posição estável e na vertical. Se o aparelho
não assentar corretamente, a água a ferver pode fazê-lo
cair.
► Manuseie o bule com cuidado. Vidro partido pode causar
lesões por corte.
► Nunca introduza água acima da marcação MAX. Caso
contrário, a água a ferver pode salpicar para fora do

Antes da primeira utilização
■ Remova todos os materiais de embalagem do aparelho.
■ Lave cuidadosamente todas as peças do sistema de infusão (câmara de
infusão , tubo vertical -, filtro 3) e bule (ver capítulo "Limpeza e
conservação").
Antes da primeira utilização, proceda da seguinte forma:
1) Retire o bule da base .
2) Encha o bule até à marcação MAX com água, adicione uma colher de
chá de sumo de limão (ou concentrado de limão). Se não tiver limão, pode
colocar uma saqueta de chá (ou uma colher de chá de folhas) diretamente
na água.
3) Introduza o sistema de infusão no bule .
4) Feche a tampa e coloque o bule na base .
5) Ligue o aparelho no interruptor Ligar/desligar . A luz de controlo e
o interruptor Ligar/desligar acendem-se. Aguarde até que a luz de
controlo se apague.
6) Desligue o aparelho no interruptor Ligar/desligar e limpe-o, conforme
descrito no capítulo "Limpeza e conservação".
A chaleira está pronta a funcionar.
Operação

► Nunca introduza açúcar na chaleira. Não aqueça leite nem álcool na
chaleira. Caso contrário, ocorrerão danos irreparáveis no aparelho.

NOTA
► O chá verde não é adequado para a preparação na chaleira. A tempe-
ratura ideal para o chá verde é de aprox. 70°C. Com temperaturas mais
elevadas, como a chaleira produz, são libertados taninos. O chá fica com
um sabor amargo.
1) Retire o bule da base .
2) Abra a tampa e retire o sistema de infusão. Coloque o sistema de infusão sobre uma superfície plana.
3) Encha a quantidade de água desejada no bule . Nunca coloque mais
água do que a marcação MAX e nunca menos do que a marcação MIN.

► Certifique-se de que a água não transborda do bule , para evitar quei-
maduras e choques elétricos.
4) Remova o sistema de infusão e levante o tubo vertical - com o filtro 3.
5) Introduza a quantidade de chá desejada ou uma saqueta na câmara de
infusão .
NOTA
► Certifique-se de que a etiqueta ou o fio da saqueta não ficam dentro do
aparelho.
6) Introduza novamente o sistema de infusão no bule . Verifique se o tubo
vertical - encaixa no entalhe no fundo do bule . A câmara de infusão
tem de ser colocada com a parte achatada virada para a pega .
7) Feche a tampa .
8) Coloque novamente o bule na base .
9) Introduza a ficha elétrica numa tomada e coloque o interruptor Ligar/
desligar na posição "I". A luz de controlo , bem como o interruptor
Ligar/desligar acendem-se.
A água é fervida, pressionada para cima através do tubo vertical - e escorrega
pela câmara de infusão novamente para o bule .
Depois de a água estar fervida, o aparelho liga automaticamente a função de
manter quente. A luz de controlo desliga-se e apenas o interruptor Ligar/
desligar emite uma luz constante. Assim que a água arrefece, a chaleira
volta a ferver a água. A luz de controlo acende-se novamente durante o
processo de fervura.

NOTA
► Visto que a água, depois de ferver, volta a passar pelo sistema de infusão,
deve retirar o sistema de infusão do bule após o primeiro processo de
infusão.
AVISO! PERIGO DE FERIMENTOS!
► O sistema de infusão está muito quente! Perigo de queimaduras!
Utilize luvas de cozinha para tocar no sistema de infusão.
NOTA
► Quanto mais tempo mantiver a bebida quente e mais líquido se evaporar,
mais forte se tornará a bebida. Aconselhamos, por isso, que o chá seja
bebido após a primeira infusão.

■ Pode interromper o processo de fervura em qualquer altura: Para tal, colo-
que o interruptor Ligar/desligar na posição "0". O processo de fervura
é terminado.
■ Quando retira o bule da base , o processo de fervura é interrompido.
ATENÇÃO! DANOS MATERIAIS!
► Deixe arrefecer sempre primeiro o bule , antes de encher água fria para
um novo processo de infusão! Caso contrário ocorrem tensões no vidro e o
bule pode partir-se.
Proteção contra sobreaquecimento
Em caso de sobreaquecimento, a proteção contra sobreaquecimento desliga o
elemento de aquecimento no interior do aparelho. O interruptor Ligar/desligar
continua aceso, mas o aparelho já não aquece.
A proteção contra sobreaquecimento é ativada, caso não exista água no bule
ou a água seja insuficiente e o aparelho esteja, mesmo assim, ligado.
Se a função contra o sobreaquecimento desligar o elemento de aquecimento,
proceda do seguinte modo:
■ Deixe o aparelho arrefecer.
■ Prima a tecla Reset na parte inferior do bule . O aparelho pode então
voltar a ser utilizado.

Nunca mergulhe o aparelho em água ou noutros líquidos!
Perigo de choque elétrico! O aparelho pode sofrer danos irreparáveis.
Para que cada processo de infusão obtenha um resultado de chá ideal, o aparelho deve ser limpo após cada utilização. Deste modo, evita-se que:
– a combinação de calcário e taninos, originada pela fervura da água e
a preparação do chá, afete o funcionamento da chaleira;
– em caso de utilização regular, a chaleira possa ficar com um aroma de
chá aromático forte e passar para outras variedades de chá.
■ Limpe o bule da chaleira com um pano húmido. Em caso de sujidade
entranhada, aplique um detergente da loiça suave no pano. Depois passe
bem o bule por água limpa, de forma a eliminar todos os resíduos de
detergente. Pode limpar facilmente o entalhe no fundo do bule com uma
escova de lavagem.

■ Lave o sistema de infusão com água quente e um detergente para a loiça

Depois da lavagem, passe o sistema de infusão por água limpa, para eliminar todos os resíduos de detergente.
Descalcificação
O teor de calcário (grau de dureza) na água provoca uma calcificação progressiva do aparelho ao longo da sua utilização. O calcário prejudica o funcionamento do aparelho, reduz a qualidade do chá e aumenta, além disso, o
consumo de energia.
NOTA
► Informe-se sobre o grau de dureza da sua água canalizada junto da
empresa que lhe fornece a água. Se a água tiver um elevado grau de
dureza, a descalcificação deverá ser realizada mais cedo, se o grau de
dureza for baixo a descalcificação deverá ser realizada mais tarde. Utilize
um descalcificador para eletrodomésticos e siga o manual de instruções.
1) Utilize um descalcificador convencional à base de limão. Tenha em atenção as indicações na embalagem do descalcificador.
2) Introduza o sistema de infusão no bule .
3) Introduza a solução descalcificante no bule . Nunca coloque uma quantidade de líquido que ultrapasse a marcação MAX ou que não atinja a
marcação MIN.
4) Espere 10 minutos e ligue depois o aparelho.
5) Deixe a solução ferver e espere até que ela tenha passado pelo sistema de
infusão.
6) Em caso de necessidade, repita o processo mais uma vez. Pode utilizar
a solução descalcificante mais uma vez, no entanto, deixe-a arrefecer
primeiro.
7) Quando o calcário se tiver solto, deixe ferver água limpa e passar pelo
sistema de infusão 2 - 3 vezes.
8) Limpe depois o bule e o sistema de infusão, conforme descrito no capítulo
"Limpeza e conservação".

Armazenamento
■ Se não utilizar o aparelho durante muito tempo, enrole o cabo, no sentido
contrário ao dos ponteiros do relógio, à volta do dispositivo de enrolamento
do cabo na parte inferior da base e introduza a extremidade na passa-
gem de cabos na base .
■ Guarde o aparelho num local seco e sem pó.
Eliminação
Nunca deposite o aparelho no lixo doméstico comum.

► Ensure that the base containing the electrical connections
never comes into contact with water! Allow the base to dry
completely if it accidentally becomes wet.
► Use the appliance only with the supplied base.
► Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp
when the appliance is in use. Route the cable so that it
cannot be trapped or damaged in any way.
► Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be
replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by
our Customer Service Department to avoid the risk of injury.
► Always remove the plug from the mains power socket after
use. Switching the appliance off is not sufficient; it will
remain live for as long as the plug is connected to the
power socket.

► Do not operate the appliance with the lid open, otherwise
the automatic switch-off cannot work. Boiling water could
then spray out over the rim.
► Bursts of hot steam may be released. The jug also becomes
extremely hot during use. It is therefore always best to wear
oven mitts when handling the jug.
► Ensure that the appliance is stable and vertical before
switching it on. Boiling water can cause the appliance to
fall over if it is not set up stably.
► Treat the jug with great care. Broken glass can cause cuts.
► Never fill it with more water than up to the MAX marking.
Otherwise, boiling water may splash out and cause scalds.
► Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
► Appliances may be used by persons with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience
and/or knowledge only if they are supervised or have been
instructed how to use the appliance safely and have understood the potential risks.
► This appliance may be used by children aged 8years or

Before first use
■ Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
■ Rinse out all parts of the brewing system (brewing chamber , riser pipe -,
sieve 3) and the jug carefully (see section "Cleaning and care").
Before first use, proceed as follows:
1) Remove the jug from the base .
2) Fill the jug up to the MAX mark and add a teaspoon of lemon juice (or
lemon juice concentrate). If you have no lemon, you can add a teabag (or
a teaspoon of loose leaf tea) directly to the water.
3) Insert the brewing system into the jug .
4) Close the lid and place the jug on the base .
5) Switch the appliance on with the On/Off switch . The control lamp
and the On/Off switch light up. Wait until the control lamp goes off.
6) Switch off the appliance using the On/Off switch and clean the appliance as described in "Cleaning and care".
The tea maker is now ready for use.
Operation
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not add any sugar to the tea maker. Do not heat any milk or alcohol in
the tea maker. This will irreparably damage the appliance.
NOTE
► Green tea is not suitable for brewing in the tea maker. The ideal brewing
temperature for green tea is around 70°C. At higher brewing temperatures,
such as those used by the tea maker, tannins are released. This makes the
tea taste bitter.
1) Remove the jug from the base .
2) Open the lid and remove the brewing system. Place the brewing system
on a level system.
3) Add the required amount of water to the jug . Never fill water to more
than the MAX marking or less than the MIN marking.

► To prevent scalds and electric shocks, ensure that the water in the jug
never overflows.

4) Remove the brewing system and pull the riser pipe - with the sieve 3
upwards.
5) Add the desired quantity of tea or teabags to the brewing chamber .
NOTE
► Ensure that no tags or bag threads remain in the device.
6) Replace the brewing system in the jug . Ensure that the riser pipe - fits
into the recess on the floor of the jug . The brewing chamber must be
inserted with the flattened side towards the handle .
7) Close the lid .
8) Replace the jug on the base .
9) Insert the mains plug into a mains power socket and set the On/Off switch
to the position "I". The control lamp and the On/Off switch light up.
The water is now boiled, pressed upwards through the riser pipe - and flows
through the brewing chamber back into the jug .
After the water is boiled, the appliance switches to the keep-warm function. The
control lamp goes out. Only the On/Off switch remains lit up. As soon as
the water cools down, the tea maker boils it again. The control lamp lights up
again during the boiling process.
NOTE
► As the water is fed back through the brewing system when it is re-boiled,
remove the brewing system from the jug after the first brew.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► The brewing system is very hot! There is a risk of burns! Use oven gloves
when you touch the brewing system.
NOTE
► The longer you keep the drink warm and the more liquid evaporates, the
stronger the drink will become. We therefore recommend drinking the tea
as quickly as possible after it is initially brewed.
■ You can interrupt the boiling process at any time. To do this, set the On/Off
switch to the "0" position. The boiling process stops.
■ Once you remove the jug from the base the boiling process stops.
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Always allow the jug to cool down before refilling it with cold water
for another brewing cycle. Otherwise, excessive tension in the glass could
cause the jug to break.

Overheating protection
If the appliance overheats, the overheat protection automatically switches off the
heating element inside the appliance. The On/Off switch remains lit, but the
appliance no longer heats up.
The overheating protection is activated if the appliance is switched on if the jug
contains no or not enough water.
If the overheating protection has switched the heating element off, please proceed
as follows:
■ Allow the appliance to cool down.
■ Press the reset button on the bottom of the jug . The appliance can now
be used again.
Cleaning and care
DANGER! ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Always remove the plug before cleaning the appliance. There is a risk of
electric shock! Allow the appliance to cool down. Risk of burns!
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
There is a risk of electric shock! The appliance may be irreparably
damaged.
To achieve the best tea-brewing result every time, the appliance should always
be cleaned after use. This prevents:
– the combination of limescale and tannins, caused by boiling water and
brewing tea, from affecting the functioning of the tea maker;
– the jug from taking on the flavour of particularly aromatic teas and af-
fecting other varieties of tea if the tea maker is used regularly.
■ Clean the jug of the tea maker with a damp cloth. Add a little mild de-
tergent to the cloth to remove stubborn dirt. Rinse out the jug afterwards
with plenty of clean water to remove any detergent residue. You can clean
the recess on the bottom of the jug well with a washing up brush.
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use abrasive, chemical or caustic cleaning agents. These can irrepa-
rably damage the appliance!
■ Clean the brewing system with hot water and washing-up liquid:
■ The brewing chamber and the sieve 3 can be cleaned with a washing
up brush. Clean the riser pipe - using the riser pipe brush . Rinse the
entire brewing system after cleaning with clear water to ensure that no
detergent residues remain.

Descaling
The hardness of the water will lead to a scaling up of the appliance over time.
Limescale impairs the functionality of the appliance, reduces the quality of the
tea and increases energy consumption.
NOTE
► Ask your local water utility for information about the hardness of the water.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights
are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep
your original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of
purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance
and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault
and its time of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking.
Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as
switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions
that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against
must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.

GEFAHR! ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Sockel mit den elektrischen
Anschlüssen niemals mit Wasser in Berührung kommt! Lassen
Sie den Sockel erst vollständig trocknen, wenn er versehentlich
feucht geworden ist.
► Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur mit dem mitgelieferten Sockel.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel niemals
nass oder feucht wird. Führen Sie es so, dass es nicht eingeklemmt oder anderweitig beschädigt werden kann.
► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort
von autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice
austauschen, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
► Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch immer den Stecker aus der Steck-
dose. Ausschalten alleine genügt nicht, weil noch immer
Netzspannung im Gerät anliegt, solange der Netzstecker in
der Steckdose steckt.

Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie ins Wasser oder in andere Flüs-
sigkeiten! Es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages!

► Betreiben Sie das Gerät immer nur bei geschlossenem Deckel,
andernfalls funktioniert die Abschaltautomatik nicht. Kochendes Wasser kann dann über den Rand herausspritzen.
► Es können heiße Dampfschwaden entweichen. Die Kanne ist zu-
dem im Betrieb sehr heiß. Tragen Sie daher Topf-Handschuhe.
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät stabil und senkrecht steht,
bevor Sie dieses einschalten. Kochendes Wasser kann ein
unstabil stehendes Gerät zum Umstürzen bringen.
► Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit der Kanne um. Zerbrochenes Glas
kann schwere Schnittverletzungen verursachen.
► Füllen Sie niemals mehr Wasser als bis zur MAX-Markierung
ein. Ansonsten kann kochendes Wasser herausspritzen und
zu Verbrühungen führen.
► Öffnen Sie nicht den Deckel, während das Wasser kocht.
► Geräte können von Personen mit reduzierten physischen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an
Erfahrung und/oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie
beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
■ Entfernen Sie sämtliche Verpackungsmaterialien vom Gerät.
■ Spülen Sie alle Teile des Brühsystems (Brühkammer , Steigrohr -, Sieb 3)
und die Kanne sorgfältig ab (siehe Kapitel „Reinigen und Pflegen”).
Gehen Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch wie folgt vor:
1) Nehmen Sie die Kanne vom Sockel .
2) Füllen Sie die Kanne bis zur MAX-Markierung mit Wasser, geben Sie
einen Teelöffel Zitronensaft (oder Zitronenkonzentrat) dazu. Wenn keine
Zitrone verfügbar ist, können Sie einen Teebeutel (oder einen Teelöffel losen
Tee) direkt ins Wasser geben.
3) Setzen Sie das Brühsystem in die Kanne ein.
4) Schließen Sie den Deckel und setzen Sie die Kanne auf den Sockel .
5) Schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/Ausschalter ein. Die Kontrollleuchte und
der Ein-/Ausschalter leuchten auf. Warten Sie, bis sdie Kontrollleuchte
erlischt.
6) Schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/Ausschalter aus und reinigen Sie das
Gerät, wie unter „Reinigen und Pflegen” beschrieben.
Der Teekocher ist nun einsatzbereit.

ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
► Geben Sie keinen Zucker in den Teekocher hinein. Erhitzen Sie keine Milch
oder Alkohol im Teekocher. Das führt zu irreparablen Schäden am Gerät.

HINWEIS
► Grüner Tee eignet sich nicht zum Aufbrühen im Teekocher. Die ideale
Brühtemperatur für grünen Tee liegt bei etwa 70°C. Bei höheren Brühtemperaturen, wie sie der Teekocher erzeugt, treten Gerbstoffe aus. Der Tee
schmeckt bitter.

1) Nehmen Sie die Kanne vom Sockel .
2) Öffnen Sie den Deckel und nehmen Sie das Brühsystem heraus. Stellen
Sie das Brühsystem auf einer ebenen Fläche ab.
3) Füllen Sie die gewünschte Wassermenge in die Kanne . Füllen Sie nie
mehr Wasser als bis zur MAX-Markierung, und nie weniger als bis zur MINMarkierung ein.

► Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser aus der Kanne überläuft, um
Verbrennungen und elektrische Schocks zu vermeiden.
4) Nehmen Sie das Brühsystem und ziehen Sie das Steigrohr - mit dem Sieb 3
nach oben.
5) Geben Sie die gewünschte Menge Tee oder Teebeutel in die Brühkammer .
HINWEIS
► Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Etiketten oder Beutelfäden im Gerät verbleiben.
6) Setzen Sie das Brühsystem wieder in die Kanne ein. Achten Sie darauf,
dass das Steigsrohr - in die Aussparung am Boden der Kanne greift.
Die Brühkammer muss mit der abgeflachten Seite zum Griff eingesetzt
werden.
7) Schließen Sie den Deckel .
8) Setzen Sie die Kanne wieder auf den Sockel .
9) Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Netzsteckdose und stellen Sie den Ein-/
Ausschalter auf die Position „I”. Die Kontrollleuchte , sowie der Ein-/
Ausschalter leuchten.
Das Wasser wird nun gekocht, durch das Steigrohr - nach oben gedrückt und
läuft durch die Brühkammer wieder in die Kanne .
Das Gerät schaltet sich, nachdem das Wasser gekocht hat, automatisch in die
Warmhaltefunktion. Die Kontrollleuchte erlischt, nur noch der Ein-/Ausschalter
leuchtet. Sobald das Wasser erkaltet, kocht der Teekocher das Wasser wieder
auf. Die Kontrollleuchte leuchtet während des Kochvorganges wieder auf.

HINWEIS
► Da das Wasser beim erneuten Aufkochen wieder durch das Brühsystem
geleitet wird, sollten Sie nach dem ersten Brühvorgang das Brühsystem aus
der Kanne heraus nehmen.
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Das Brühsystem ist sehr heiß! Es besteht die Gefahr von Verbrennungen!
Benutzen Sie Topfhandschuhe, wenn Sie das Brühsystem berühren.

HINWEIS
► Je länger Sie das Getränk warm halten und je mehr Flüssigkeit verdampft,
desto stärker wird das Getränk. Wir empfehlen daher, den Tee möglichst
nach dem ersten Aufbrühen zu trinken.
■ Sie können den Kochvorgang jederzeit unterbrechen: Stellen Sie hierzu den
Ein-/Ausschalter in die Position „0”. Der Kochvorgang wird beendet.
■ Wenn Sie die Kanne vom Sockel nehmen, wird der Kochvorgang
unterbrochen.
ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
► Lassen Sie die Kanne immer erst abkühlen, bevor Sie kaltes Wasser für
einen weiteren Brühvorgang einfüllen! Ansonsten kommt es zu Spannungen
im Glas und die Kanne kann zerbrechen.
Überhitzungsschutz
Bei Überhitzung schaltet der Überhitzungsschutz das Heizelement im Inneren
des Gerätes aus. Der Ein-/Ausschalter leuchtet weiter, das Gerät heizt jedoch
nicht mehr.
Der Überhitzungsschutz wird aktiviert, wenn sich kein oder nicht ausreichend
Wasser in der Kanne befindet und das Gerät trotzdem eingeschaltet wird.
Wenn der Überhitzungsschutz das Heizelement abgeschaltet hat, gehen Sie bitte
wie folgt vor:
■ Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.
■ Drücken Sie die Reset-Taste an der Unterseite der Kanne . Das Gerät
kann jetzt wieder benutzt werden.
Reinigen und Pflegen

► Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung den Netzstecker. Es besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages! Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen. Verbrennungsgefahr!

Es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages! Das Gerät kann

Um bei jedem Brühvorgang ein optimales Tee-Ergebnis zu erzielen, sollte das
Gerät nach jeder Benutzung gereinigt werden. Dadurch wird vermieden, dass:
■ Reinigen Sie die Kanne des Teekochers mit einem feuchten Tuch. Bei hart-

Der Kalkgehalt (Härtegrad) im Wasser führt im Laufe der Benutzung zum Verkalken des Gerätes. Der Kalk beeinträchtigt das Gerät in seiner Funktion, vermindert
die Qualität des Tees und erhöht zudem den Stromverbrauch.
HINWEIS
► Erkundigen Sie sich bei Ihrem Wasserversorger nach dem Härtegrad Ihres

Aufbewahrung
■ Wenn Sie das Gerät für längere Zeit nicht verwenden, wickeln Sie das Kabel
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn um die Kabelaufwicklung an der Unterseite des
Sockels und führen Sie das Ende durch den Kabeldurchlass am Sockel .
■ Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem staubfreien und trockenen Ort.
Entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll. Dieses
Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EUWEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden
Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in
Verbindung.
Führen Sie alle Verpackungsmaterialien einer umweltgerechten Entsorgung zu.

Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Im Falle von
Mängeln dieses Produkts stehen Ihnen gegen den Verkäufer des Produkts gesetzliche Rechte zu. Diese gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch unsere im Folgenden
dargestellte Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.
Garantiebedingungen
Die Garantiefrist beginnt mit dem Kaufdatum. Bitte bewahren Sie den Original–
Kassenbon gut auf. Diese Unterlage wird als Nachweis für den Kauf benötigt.
Tritt innerhalb von drei Jahren ab dem Kaufdatum dieses Produkts ein Materialoder Fabrikationsfehler auf, wird das Produkt von uns – nach unserer Wahl – für
Sie kostenlos repariert oder ersetzt. Diese Garantieleistung setzt voraus, dass

Wenn der Defekt von unserer Garantie gedeckt ist, erhalten Sie das reparierte
oder ein neues Produkt zurück. Mit Reparatur oder Austausch des Produkts
beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum.
Garantiezeit und gesetzliche Mängelansprüche
Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch
für ersetzte und reparierte Teile. Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden
und Mängel müssen sofort nach dem Auspacken gemeldet werden. Nach Ablauf
der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind kostenpflichtig.
Garantieumfang
Das Gerät wurde nach strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien sorgfältig produziert und vor
Auslieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.
Die Garantieleistung gilt für Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler. Diese Garantie
erstreckt sich nicht auf Produktteile, die normaler Abnutzung ausgesetzt sind und
daher als Verschleißteile angesehen werden können oder für Beschädigungen
an zerbrechlichen Teilen, z. B. Schalter, Akkus, Backformen oder Teile die aus
Glas gefertigt sind.
Diese Garantie verfällt, wenn das Produkt beschädigt, nicht sachgemäß benutzt
oder gewartet wurde. Für eine sachgemäße Benutzung des Produkts sind alle
in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten Anweisungen genau einzuhalten.
Verwendungszwecke und Handlungen, von denen in der Bedienungsanleitung
abgeraten oder vor denen gewarnt wird, sind unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Das Produkt ist nur für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch
bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung, Gewaltanwendung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht von unserer autorisierten Service-Niederlassung
vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.

Um eine schnelle Bearbeitung ihres Anliegens zu gewährleisten, folgen Sie bitte
den folgenden Hinweisen:
■ Bitte halten Sie für alle Anfragen den Kassenbon und die Artikelnummer (z. B.
IAN 12345) als Nachweis für den Kauf bereit.
■ Die Artikelnummer entnehmen Sie bitte dem Typenschild, einer Gravur, auf
dem Titelblatt ihrer Anleitung (unten links) oder als Aufkleber auf der Rückoder Unterseite.
■ Sollten Funktionsfehler oder sonstige Mängel auftreten, kontaktieren Sie zunächst

■ Ein als defekt erfasstes Produkt können Sie dann unter Beifügung des Kauf-
