1) Remove the appliance, the removable plates and the operating instructions from the carton.
2) Remove all packing material.

Check the contents to ensure everything is present and for visible damage.If the delivery is not complete or has been damaged due to defective
packaging or transportation, contact the Service Hotline (see section Warranty and Service).
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty
period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can pack the appli­ance ideally for its return.

Safety instructions

Arrange for damaged power cables and/or plugs to be replaced
as soon as possible by a qualified specialist or by Customer Services.
Use the appliance only in dry indoor areas, not outdoors.
NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other liquids! If you do, then you could receive a potentially fatal electric shock.
When cleaning, ensure that water cannot permeate into the
appliance. NEVER clean the appliance under running water.
Ensure that the appliance can never come into contact with water.
NEVER use the appliance adjacent to water or close to vessels containing liquids.
Ensure that the power cable never gets wet or moist when the
appliance is in use. Lay the cable such that it cannot be clamped or otherwise damaged.
After use, disconnect the power cable from the mains power
socket to turn off the unit.
NEVER open the housing of the appliance.

This appliance may be used by children of at least 8 years of age
and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the appliance is to be used, and they have understood the potential risks.
Children should not play with the appliance.Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by
children, unless they are older than 8 years of age and are super­vised. Children younger than 8 years of age are to be kept away from the appliance and the power cable.
The appliance can become hot when it is in use. Therefore, only
touch the handles.
Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning it, ex-
changing the removable plates or putting it into storage.
Use caution when removing the finished foods (sandwiches, waffles,
etc.). The appliance, as well as the sandwiches, will be very hot.
Use the appliance only on a stable, non-slippery and level surface.Do not use an external timing switch or a separate remote control
system to operate the appliance.

This appliance may not be used in close vicinity to flammable
material.
Do not leave the appliance unattended at any time when it is in use.Operate the appliance only on heat resistant surface.Do not operate the appliance unsupervised.

To avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the Sandwich Maker,
remove your cooked foods only with a plastic or wooden spatula or some other suitable, non-metallic implement.
Do not use abrasive cleansers or sharp objects for cleaning.
Exchanging the removable plates
You can choose between 3 different removable plates:
– Removable plates “Sandwich”: for the preparation of filled sandwiches. – Removable plates “Waffles”: for baking waffles. – Removable plates “Grill”: for grilling meat, fish, etc.

Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket before exchanging the
removable plates.

Let the appliance cool down before exchanging the removable plates!
Risk of Burns!
Placement of the removable plates
1) Open the sandwich maker by releasing the lid locking device  and lifting the lid.
2) Upper removable plate: First slide the lower latches into the lower mountings .
3) Now press the upper latches onto the locking devices , so that the upper latches spring under the locking devices and the removable plate is firmly seated.
4) Lower removable plate: First slide the rear latches  into the rear mountings .
5) Now press the front latches onto the locking devices so that the latches spring under the locking devices and the removable plate is firmly seated.
6) Press firmly once in the centre of the lower removable plate to ensure that it is securely inserted.

Extracting the removable plate
1) Upper removable plate: Slide the locking devices  upwards and simul- taneously tilt the removable plate forward so that you can lift it out from underneath the lower mountings .
2) Lower removable plate: Pull the locking devices  forward and lift the removable plate so that you can pull it out from the rear mountings .
Commissioning
Carry out the following procedure with each of the 3 pairs of removable plates.
Smear the non-stick coating on the removable plates with oil suitable for
cooking.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Let the appliance cool down before exchanging the removable plates!
Risk of Burns!
Install a pair of removable plates into the appliance.
Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
Close the appliance and lock it with the lid locking device .
Let the appliance heat up for about 10 minutes.
NOTICE
With the first usage a slight smell can arise (minimal smoke development is
also possible). This is normal and dissipates after a short time. Provide for sufficient ventilation. For example, open a window.
Disconnect the plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
Clean the removable plates and the appliance as described in the chapter
“Cleaning”.
The appliance is now ready for use.

Operation
Toasting sandwiches
1) Select the removable plates “sandwich” and install them.
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Never use two different removable plates at the same time.
2) Close the lid and lock it with the lid locking device .
3) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The red control lamp “Power” ­glows.
4) As soon as the appliance is heated up, the green control lamp “Ready” 3 glows.
5) Open the lid and insert two prepared sandwiches on the lower removable plate.
6) Close the lid and lock it with the lid locking device . Should the sandwich be too thick, such that the lid locking device cannot close, remove some filling from the sandwiches.
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
To avoid damaging the non-stick coating of the Sandwich Maker, remove
your cooked foods only with a plastic or wooden spatula or some other suitable, non-metallic implement.
7) The sandwiches are ready after about 5 - 6 minutes. This time information can, depending on the type of filling and personal tastes, vary. Open the lid and take the sandwiches out.
8) When you no longer wish to prepare any more sandwiches, disconnect the plug from the mains power socket.
Baking waffles
1) Select the removable plates “waffles” and install them.
2) Close the lid and lock it with the lid locking device .
3) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The red control lamp “Power” -

7) The waffles are ready after about 5 - 7 minutes. This time information can, depending on the type of batter used and personal tastes, vary. Open the lid and take the waffles out.
8) When you no longer wish to prepare any more waffles, disconnect the plug from the mains power socket.

2) Close the lid and lock it with the lid locking device .
3) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The red control lamp “Power” ­glows.
4) As soon as the appliance is heated up, the green control lamp “Ready” 3 glows.
5) Open the lid and place the food to be grilled on the lower removable plate.
6) Now close the lid. Do not lock the lid!
7) From time to time check the degree of browning by lifting the lid.

8) When the food is cooked through, take it from the removable plate.
9) When the appliance is no longer needed, remove the plug from the mains power socket.

Cleaning
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket before cleaning the
appliance.

Let the appliance cool down before cleaning it. Risk of Burns!
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These can damage the
upper surfaces of the appliance.
Under no circumstances should you clean the removable grill plates or the
appliance in the dishwasher!
Do not wait too long to start with the cleaning. Wait until the appliance
has cooled down sufficiently that you can touch it without the risk of being burnt. Then the food particles can be removed more easily.
Clean the appliance housing only with a dry or lightly moistened cloth.
Detach the removable plates and clean them in warm water with a little
detergent added.
If fats or food should be under the removable plates and in the space in
which the heating coils  are located, proceed as follows:
– Dab the fats or other liquids with a piece of kitchen paper. – Remove stuck-on burnt residues with a wooden spatula or small wooden
skewers.
Dry all parts well before re-use.
Storage

Store the Sandwich Maker at a dry location.
Clean the appliance as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Troubleshooting

Recipes
Dutch Tomato Toast
Ingredients:
4 slices of toast breadWaterSpring onions1 medium TomatoHerb butter2 slices of cooked HamSaltFreshly ground Pepper2 slices of young Gouda cheese
The plug is not inserted into a mains power socket.
The appliance is defective.
The sandwiches/waffles/ grilled food were in the Sand­wich Maker for too long.
Connect the power cable into a mains power socket.
In this case, contact Customer Services.
Take the sandwiches/ waffles/grilled food out a little earlier.

1) Wash the spring onions and let them drip dry. Halve the onions lengthwise and then cut them into large pieces. Bring the water with salt to the boil in a pot. Add the spring onions and blanch them for about 1 minute. Then place the spring onions in a colander, douse them with cold water and let them drip dry.
2) Wash the tomatoes and dab them dry. Halve them and remove the stalks. Cut the tomatoes into slices.
3) Spread herb butter on one slice of toast and place a folded slice of ham on the smeared slice of toast bread. Distribute the pieces of spring onion and tomato slices on top. Season with salt and pepper.
4) Lay the cheese slices on the slice of toast bread.
5) Coat another slice of toast with some garlic butter and place it on your sandwich with the buttered side down.

Italian Toast
Ingredients:
4 slices of Toast bread4 tblsp. Tomato purée2 tbsp. Salad mayonnaiseSaltHerbs de Provence Freshly ground Pepper1 medium Tomato1 package Mozzarella cheeseFreshly ground coloured Pepper
1) Stir the tomato paste, mayonnaise, salt, herbs de Provence and pepper together. Spread the slices of toast bread with it.
2) Wash the tomatoes and dab them dry. Halve them and remove the stalks. Cut the tomatoes into slices.
3) Let the Mozzarella cheese drain in a colander and then cut it into slices. Cut these in half.
4) Now lay the tomato and Mozzarella slices on the coated slice and season with pepper.
5) Cover your sandwich with another slice of toast bread.

Hawaiian Toast
Ingredients:
4 slices of Toast bread2 slices of pineapple (from the tin)Butter2 slices of cooked Ham2 Cheese slices
1) Let the pineapples drain in a colander.
2) Now coat the toast slice with butter.
3) Garnish the toast bread with ham and pineapple.
4) Lay the cheese on the pineapple as the last ingredient.
5) Cover your sandwich with a slice of toast bread.
Waffles
Ingredients:
250 g Margarine or butterca. 200 g Sugar2 Packets of Vanilla sugar5 Eggs500 g Flour2 teaspoons Baking powder350 - 400 ml Milk

1) Stir the eggs until foamy.
2) Add the sugar and vanilla sugar, then stir everything together.
3) Then add the melted butter or margarine.
4) Blend in the baking powder.
5) Under constant stirring, gradually add the milk and flour alternately.
6) Combine everything at the highest speed with a hand blender until a smooth batter mixture is achieved.

Apple waffles
Ingredients:
250 g Margarine or butter75 g Sugar4 Eggs250 g flour1 tsp of Baking powder125 ml lukewarm Milk300 g Apples (peeled, cut into cubes.)50 g grated Almonds or Nuts
1) Stir the eggs until foamy.
2) Add the sugar and stir everything.
3) Then add the melted butter or margarine.
4) Blend in the baking powder.
5) Under constant stirring, gradually add the milk and flour alternately.
6) Finally, blend in the almonds/nuts and the apple cubes.
7) Combine everything at the highest speed with a hand blender until a smooth batter mixture is achieved.

Shrimp skewer
Ingredients:
250 g medium size, peeled Shrimps2 Garlic cloves (finely chopped) 5 tbsp. Olive oil12 small Tomatoes (cherry tomatoes) 1 tbsp. chopped parsleySalt, pepper, paprika powder
1) Put the olive oil, garlic, a little paprika powder, salt, pepper and parsley in a bowl and mix everything.
2) Then add the shrimps and stir everything together, so that the shrimps are thoroughly moistened with the herb-spice mixture.
3) Let the shrimps marinade in the mixture for about 20 minutes.
4) Spike a tomato alternatively with a shrimp on a skewer.
5) Grill the skewers for about 5 minutes.
Disposal
Do not dispose of this appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU. (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your com­munity waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.

Warranty and Service
The warranty for this appliance is for 3 years from the date of purchase. The appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service Department. Only in this way can a post-free despatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
The warranty covers only claims for material and manufacturing defects,
but not for transport damage, wearing parts or for damage to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries.
This product is for domestic use only and is not intended for commercial use. The warranty is void in the case of abusive and improper handling, use of force and internal tampering not carried out by our authorised service branch.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty period is not extended by repairs made under the warranty. This applies also to replaced and repaired parts.
Damages and defects extant at the time of purchase must be reported immedi­ately after unpacking, resp. no later than two days after the date of purchase.
Repairs made after the lapse of the warranty period are subject to charge.

1) Scoateţi din cutie aparatul, plăcile detaşabile şi manualul de utilizare.
2) Îndepărtaţi toate ambalajele.
INDICAŢIE
Verificaţi dacă furnitura este completă şi dacă prezintă deteriorări vizibile.Dacă livrarea nu este completă sau dacă există deteriorări rezultate în
urma transportului sau a ambalajului defectuos, sunaţi la departamentul de service (vezi capitolul Garanţie şi service).
Eliminarea ambalajelor
Ambalajul protejează aparatul împotriva deteriorărilor din timpul transportului. Ambalajele sunt selectate în funcţie de compatibilitatea lor cu mediul şi pe consi­derente privind metodele de eliminare fiind astfel sunt reciclabile.
Reintroducerea ambalajelor în circuitul de materiale contribuie la economia de materie primă şi reduce cantitatea de deşeuri. Eliminaţi ambalajele de care nu mai aveţi nevoie conform prevederilor locale în vigoare.

Dacă este posibil, păstraţi ambalajul original în timpul perioadei de garanţie,

Indicaţii de siguranţă
AVERTIZARE! PERICOL DE ELECTROCUTARE!
În cazul în care ştecărul sau cablul de alimentare sunt defecte,
solicitaţi imediat un specialist autorizat ca să le înlocuiască, pentru a evita orice fel de pericol.
A se utiliza aparatul doar în locuri uscate şi nu în spaţii libere.
Nu introduceţi niciodată aparatul în apă sau în alte lichide! În caz contrar, există pericol de moarte prin electrocutare.
Asiguraţi-vă ca, pe durata procesului de curăţare să nu ajungă apă
în interiorul aparatului. Nu curăţaţi aparatul niciodată sub jet de apă.
Asiguraţi-vă că aparatul nu intră niciodată în contact cu apa. Nu
utilizaţi aparatul în apropierea apei sau lângă recipientele care conţin lichide.
Asiguraţi-vă că în timpul funcţionării cablul de alimentare nu se va
uda niciodată. Ghidaţi cablul astfel încât să nu se blocheze sau să se deterioreze într-un alt mod.
Trageţi ştecărul din priză după fiecare utilizare pentru a opri aparatul.Nu deschideţi niciodată carcasa aparatului.

AVERTIZARE! PERICOL DE RĂNIRE!
Acest aparat poate fi utilizat de către copii de peste 8 ani şi de
persoane cu capacităţi fizice, senzoriale sau intelectuale limitate sau cu o experienţă şi/sau cunoştinţe limitate, în cazul în care sunt supravegheate de o persoană sau au primit instrucţiuni de la aceasta cu privire la un mod sigur de utilizare a aparatului şi dacă au înţeles posibilele pericole privind acest aparat.
Copiii nu au voie să se joace cu aparatul.Curăţarea şi întreţinerea nu au voie să fie efectuate de către utiliza-
tor prin intermediul copiilor, doar dacă aceştia au mai mult de 8 ani sau dacă sunt supravegheaţi. Copiii mai mici de 8 ani nu au voie să se afle în apropierea apa­ratului şi a cablului de racordare.
Componentele aparatului pot deveni fierbinţi în timpul utilizării.
De aceea, puneţi mâna doar pe mânere.
Lăsaţi aparatul să se răcească în totalitate, înainte de a-l curăţa, de
a schimba plăcile detaşabile sau înainte de a depozita aparatul.
Aveţi grijă când luaţi preparatele gătite de pe aparat (sandviciuri,
vafe, etc.). Atât aparatul, cât şi preparatele sunt fierbinţi.
Utilizaţi aparatul doar pe suprafeţe stabile, plane şi anti-alunecare.Nu utilizaţi temporizatoare externe sau sisteme separate de co-
mandă de la distanţă pentru a opera aparatul.

Aparatul nu are voie să fie utilizat în apropierea materialelor
inflamabile.
Nu acoperiţi aparatul atâta cât timp se află în funcţiune.Utilizaţi aparatul doar pe o suprafaţă rezistentă la căldură.Nu utilizaţi niciodată aparatul fără supraveghere.

ATENŢIE - PAGUBE MATERIALE!
Îndepărtaţi preparatele doar cu ajutorul unei spatule din material
plastic sau de lemn sau cu o altă ustensilă corespunzătoare, care să nu fie din metal, pentru a nu distruge stratul antiaderent al aparatului.
Pentru curăţare, nu utilizaţi detergenţi agresivi şi ustensile ascuţite.
Schimbarea plăcilor detaşabile
Puteţi alege între 3 plăci detaşabile diferite:
– Plăci detaşabile "Sandwich": pentru prepararea sandviciurilor umplute. – Plăci detaşabile "Waffeln": pentru coacerea vafelor. – Plăci detaşabile "Grill": pentru prăjirea cărnii, peştelui, etc.

Trageţi ştecărul din priză înainte de a curăţa aparatul.

Lăsaţi aparatul să se răcească înainte de a schimba plăcile
detaşabile!Pericol de arsuri!
Utilizarea plăcilor detaşabile
1) Deschideţi aparatul prin eliberarea elementului de blocare şi ridicarea capacului.
2) Placa detaşabilă superioară: împingeţi mai întâi dispozitivul de blocare inferior în suportul de jos .
3) Apăsaţi apoi dispozitivul de blocare superior pe elementele de fixare , astfel încât dispozitivele de blocare  să ajungă sub elementele de fixare  iar placa detaşabilă să nu se poată mişca.
4) Placa detaşabilă inferioară: împingeţi mai întâi dispozitivul de blocare spate în suportul spate .
5) Apăsaţi apoi dispozitivul de blocare faţă pe elementele de fixare , astfel încât dispozitivele de blocare  să ajungă sub elementele de fixare  iar placa detaşabilă să nu se poată mişca.
6) Apăsaţi cu putere pe mijlocul plăcii detaşabile inferioare, pentru a fi siguri că este bine fixată.
