Intended use
This appliance is intended solely for the care and maintenance of
fi ngernails, toenails and feet. It is intended for domestic use only.
The mains adapter is intended for indoor use only.
It is not intended for any other use or use beyond that specifi ed.

Safety
In this section, you will fi nd important safety instructions for using the appliance. Improper use may
result in personal injury and material damage.
Basic safety guidelines
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow
the safety guidelines set out below
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
■ Prior to use, check the appliance for visible ex-
ternal damage. Do not operate a appliance that
has been damaged or dropped.
■ This appliance may be used by children aged
8 years and above and by persons with limited
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge, provided that they

are under supervision or have been told how to
use the appliance safely and are aware of the
potential risks. Children must not use the appliance as a plaything. Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children
unless they are supervised.
■ All repairs must be carried out by authorised
specialist companies or by the Customer Service
department. Improper repairs can pose signifi cant risks to the user. The warranty claim will also
be invalidated.
■ Extended use may cause extreme warming of the
skin. Therefore, take frequent breaks. Otherwise,
there is a risk of burns!
■ Do not use the appliance while bathing or show-
ering.
■ Never touch the appliance with wet or moist hands.
■ Always operate the appliance with the supplied
power adapter.
■ To prevent accidents, have defective plugs and/
or power cables replaced immediately by a
qualifi ed specialist technician or our Customer
Service department.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE

■ Defective components must always be replaced
with original replacement parts. Compliance with
safety requirements can only be guaranteed if
original replacement parts are used.
■ Protect the appliance from penetration by mois-
ture and liquids.
■ Protect the appliance against knocks, dampness,
dust, chemicals, extremes of temperature, etc.
and keep it away from sources of heat (ovens,
radiators).
■ Never use the appliance under blankets, pillows,
etc.
■ Do not store the appliance where it could fall
into a bath tub or wash basin.
■ NEVER submerse the appliance in water or other
liquids!
■ Always remove the mains adapter from the mains
outlet; never pull on the power cable.
■ Ensure that the drive can always rotate freely.
Otherwise, the appliance may overheat and be
damaged beyond repair.
■ The mains adapter is intended for indoor use only.
■ To disconnect the power supply to the appliance,
pull the mains adapter from the socket outlet.

■ The mains power socket that is used must be eas-
ily accessible so that the mains adapter can be
quickly removed from the mains power socket in
the event of an emergency.
■ In the event of a malfunction (unusual noises or
smoke) or during thunderstorms, disconnect the
mains adapter from the power socket.
■ Never try to open the housing of the mains
adapter – there is a risk of electrocution.
■ To avoid damage caused by unwanted warming,
do not cover the mains power adapter.
■ Repairs to the appliance during the warranty
period may only be carried out by a customer
service department authorised by the manufacturer. Otherwise no additional warranty claims
can be considered for subsequent damage.

Use of the appliance
Attachments
■ Sapphire cone 10:
For removing dry skin, hardened skin or calluses on the soles and
heels.
♦ Guide the sapphire cone 10 over the parts of the sole and heel
to be treated using a circular motion while exerting gentle pressure. Do not press too fi rmly, and always guide the appliance
carefully to the surface to be treated. Apply a moisturising
cream after every treatment.

■ Felt cone 11:
For smoothing and polishing nail edges after fi ling, and for cleaning
the nail surface.
♦ Use the felt cone 11 to polish and smooth the edge of the nail
and to clean the nail surface after grinding. Always polish in a
circular motion and never let the felt cone

stay in one place.
■ Sapphire disc 12/13:
For fi ling and working the nails.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
Excessive speeds and applying too much pressure,
can cause the sapphire disc to rapidly penetrate
into deeper, healthy skin layers.
This can cause injuries and damage to the periosteum!
► Always take care when removing corns. If in doubt, consult a
pedicurist, podologist or dermatologist.

your nails accurately without damaging your skin with the rapidly
rotating disc.
♦ Always work from the outside of the nail to the tip.

For grinding off thick toenail surfaces and rough smoothing of the
surfaces.
You can use the cylinder miller

♦ Always hold the cylinder miller 14 parallel to the nail surface
and use light pressure and circular movements to grind off the
surface.

You can use the fl ame miller

♦ Carefully guide the fl ame miller 15 to the treatment area and
remove the aff ected parts of the nail.
■ Hardened skin remover 16:
For large-scale and rapid removal of thick hardened skin or calluses
on the sole or heel of your foot.
♦ Guide the hardened skin remover 16 over the parts of the sole
and heel to be treated while exerting gentle pressure.
Working with the appliance
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
Excessively long or intensive treatment can also
injure deeper layers of skin.
► Therefore, check the treatment progress and results regularly.
Diabetics in particular are less sensitive on their hands and
feet.
NOTE
The attachments do not have as much eff ect on softened

skin. Therefore, do not carry out any pretreatment in a water
bath before using the appliance.

Cleaning

agents. These can damage the surface of the appliance.
♦ Clean the hand element 7 and the mains adapter 8 with a
damp cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent on the
cloth. Ensure that no water or moisture can penetrate the
appliance. Dry everything thoroughly.
♦ For hygienic reasons, we recommend cleaning the attachments
with a clean cloth or brush moistened with alcohol after every
use. Dry everything thoroughly.
Storage
♦ After you have cleaned the appliance, put it back in the storage

Disposal of the appliance
Under no circumstances should you dispose
of the appliance in normal household waste.
This product is subject to the provisions of
the European WEEE (Waste Electrical and
Electronic Equipment) Directive 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company
or your municipal waste disposal facility. Please observe applicable
regulations. Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in
any doubt.
Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during shipment.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental
friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the materials cycle
conserves raw materials and reduces the amount
of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging
materials which are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance

during the warranty period so that the appliance can be
packed properly for returning in the event of a warranty
claim.

Warranty
You are provided a 3-year warranty on this appliance, valid from the
date of purchase. This appliance has been manufactured with care
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a
warranty claim, please contact your Customer Service unit by telephone. This is the only way to guarantee free return of your goods.
NOTE
The warranty only covers claims for material and manufac-

turing defects, not for transport damage, worn parts or
damage to fragile components such as buttons or batteries.
This appliance is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes. The warranty shall be deemed void in the case of
misuse or improper handling, use of force and interventions which
have not been carried out by one of our authorised Service centres.
Your statutory rights are not restricted by this warranty. The warranty
period is not prolonged by repairs eff ected under the warranty. This
also applies to replaced and repaired components.

Tässä luvussa annetaan tärkeitä laitteen käsittelyä
koskevia turvallisuusohjeita. Asiaton käyttö voi johtaa henkilö- ja esinevahinkoihin.
Tärkeitä turvallisuusohjeita
Huomioi seuraavat laitteen turvallista käyttöä koskevat turvallisuusohjeet:
VAROITUS - LOUKKAANTUMISVAARA!
■ Tarkasta laite näkyvien vaurioiden varalta ennen
laitteen käyttöönottoa. Älä käytä vaurioitunutta
tai maahan pudonnutta laitetta.
■ Kahdeksan vuotta täyttäneet lapset sekä henki-
löt, joiden fyysiset, aistimukselliset tai henkiset
kyvyt ovat rajalliset, tai joilla ei ole riittävää

kokemusta tai tietoa laitteen käytöstä, saavat
käyttää laitetta vain valvonnan alaisena, tai jos
heitä on opastettu laitteen turvalliseen käyttöön,
ja he ovat ymmärtäneet laitteen käyttöön liittyvät
vaarat. Lapset eivät saa leikkiä laitteella. Lapset
eivät saa suorittaa puhdistusta ja käyttäjähuoltoa
ilman valvontaa.
■ Korjauta laite ainoastaan valtuutetussa alan liik-
keessä tai asiakashuollossa. Virheelliset korjaukset voivat aiheuttaa huomattavan vaaran käyttäjälle. Tällöin myös laitteen takuu raukeaa.
■ Pidempiaikainen käyttö voi kuumentaa ihoa voi-
makkaasti. Pidä välissä taukoja laitteen käytössä.
Muutoin on olemassa palovammojen vaara!
■ Älä käytä laitetta suihkun tai kylvyn aikana.
■ Älä koskaan koske laitteeseen märin tai kostein
käsin.
■ Käytä laitetta vain mukana tulevan verkkoadapte-
rin kanssa.
■ Anna vaarojen välttämiseksi vialliset pistokkeet ja
virtajohdot heti valtuutetun ammattihenkilöstön tai
huoltopalvelun vaihdettavaksi.

HUOMIO - ESINEVAHINGOT
■ Laitteen vialliset osat saa vaihtaa vain alkuperäis-
varaosiin. Voimme taata turvallisuusvaatimusten
täyttymisen vain näiden osien kohdalla.

■ Suojaa laitetta kosteudelta ja nesteiden pääsyltä
laitteeseen.
■ Suojaa laitetta iskuilta, kosteudelta, pölyltä, kemi-

kaaleilta ja suurilta lämpötilan vaihteluilta ja pidä
se poissa lämpölähteiden (uunien, lämpöpattereiden) läheisyydestä.
■ Älä koskaan käytä laitetta peittojen, tyynyjen tms.
alla.
■ Älä säilytä laitetta sellaisessa paikassa, josta se
voi pudota kylpyammeeseen tai pesualtaaseen.
■ Älä koskaan kasta laitetta veteen tai muihin
nesteisiin.
■ Irrota pistoke pistorasiasta. Älä koskaan vedä
johdosta.
■ Varmista, että laitteen pyörivä osa voi pyöriä
aina vapaasti. Muuten laite ylikuumenee ja voi
vaurioitua korjauskelvottomaksi.
■ Verkkoadapteri on tarkoitettu käytettäväksi sisäti-
loissa.
■ Katkaise laitteen sähkövirta irrottamalla verkko-
adapteri pistorasiasta.
■ Käytettävän pistorasian on sijaittava siten, että
sille on helppo päästä, jotta verkkoadapteri
voidaan vaaratilanteissa helposti irrottaa pistorasiasta.

■ Irrota pistoke pistorasiasta, mikäli laitteessa
ilmenee häiriöitä (laitteesta kuuluu epätavallisia
ääniä tai käytön aikana muodostuu savua) sekä
ukkosenilmalla.
■ Älä avaa verkkoadapterin koteloa. On olemassa
sähköiskun vaara.
■ Älä peitä verkkoadapteria, sillä liiallinen lämpö
voi vaurioittaa sitä.
■ Laitteen korjauksen saa takuuaikana suorittaa
vain valmistajan valtuuttama huoltoliike, muussa
tapauksessa takuu ei enää korvaa seuraamusvahinkoja.

► Jos havaitset toimituksessa puutteita tai vaurioita, jotka johtuvat
puutteellisesta pakkauksesta tai jotka ovat syntyneet kuljetuksen
aikana, soita huollon palvelunumeroon (ks. luku Huolto).
