Die Tastatur kann über Bluetooth mit Ihrem iPad
erleichtert diese Tastatur die Bedienung Ihres iPads

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Diese Bluetooth-Tastatur ist ein Gerät der Informations-Technologie: Sie kann in Verbindung mit
einem Apple iPad
darf nicht außerhalb von geschlossenen Räumen und in tropischen Klimaregionen genutzt werden.
Dieses Gerät ist nicht für den Betrieb in einem Unternehmen bzw. den gewerblichen Einsatz
vorgesehen. Verwenden Sie das Gerät ausschließlich in Wohnbereichen für den privaten
Gebrauch, jede andere Verwendung ist nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Dieses Gerät erfüllt alle, im
Zusammenhang mit der CE Konformität, relevanten Normen und Standards. Bei einer nicht mit dem

Umschlags ist die Schutzmappe für iPad

Das Gerät arbeitet mit einer automatischen Standby-Funktion. Wird das Gerät mehr als 10 Minuten
nicht verwendet, schaltet es sich in den Standby-Betrieb. Drücken Sie dann eine beliebige Taste, um
es wieder verwenden zu können.

Wenn Sie das Gerät längere Zeit nicht nutzen möchten, so schalten Sie es aus, indem Sie den
Ein-/Aus-Schalter (5) in die Position „OFF“ schieben

Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine feste, ebene Oberfläche und stellen Sie keine Gegenstände auf
das Gerät. Das Gerät ist nicht für den Betrieb in Räumen mit hoher Temperatur oder
Luftfeuchtigkeit (z.B. Badezimmer) oder übermäßigem Staubaufkommen ausgelegt.

Kabel

Fassen Sie alle Kabel immer am Stecker und ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel selbst. Stellen Sie
weder Möbelstücke oder andere schweren Gegenstände auf Kabel und achten Sie darauf,
dass diese nicht geknickt werden, insbesondere am Stecker und an den Anschlussbuchsen.
Machen Sie niemals einen Knoten in ein Kabel, und binden Sie es nicht mit anderen Kabeln
zusammen. Alle Kabel sollten so gelegt werden, dass niemand darauf tritt oder behindert wird.

Funkschnittstelle

Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie sich in einem Flugzeug, in einem Krankenhaus,
einem Operationssaal oder in der Nähe eines medizinischen Elektroniksystems befinden. Die
übertragenen Funkwellen können empfindliche Geräte in ihrer Funktion beeinträchtigen.
Halten Sie das Gerät mindestens 20cm von einem Herzschrittmacher fern, da sonst die
ordnungsgemäßen Funktionen des Herzschrittmachers durch Funkwellen beeinträchtigt werden
können. Die übertragenen Funkwellen können Störgeräusche in Hörgeräten verursachen.
Bringen Sie das Gerät nicht mit eingeschalteter Funkkomponente in die Nähe entflammbarer
Gase oder in eine explosionsgefährdete Umgebung (z.B. Lackiererei), da die übertragenen
Funkwellen eine Explosion oder ein Feuer auslösen können. Die Reichweite der Funkwellen ist
abhängig von Umwelt- und Umgebungsbedingungen. Bei Datenverkehr über eine drahtlose
Verbindung ist es auch unberechtigten Dritten möglich, Daten zu empfangen. Die Targa
GmbH ist nicht für Funk- oder Fernsehstörungen verantwortlich, die durch unerlaubte

Vor der Inbetriebnahme

Akku laden

Der Tastaturakku wird über das mitgelieferte USB-Kabel (7) geladen. Schließen Sie die Bluetooth­Tastatur zum Laden an das iPad

®

-Ladegerät an und stecken Sie dieses in die Steckdose.

Der Ladestatus des Tastaturakkus:

Die Tastatur kann zum Laden auch an die USB-Schnittstelle eines PCs angeschlossen

Damit Sie die Aussparung für die iPad®-Kamera (10) und die Aussparung für den iPad®-Kopfhörer­Anschluss (9) nutzen können, legen Sie Ihr iPad
der rechten Seite befindet (siehe Abbildung (A) auf der Innenseite des Umschlags dieser
Bedienungsanleitung).

Aufstellen der Schutzmappe

Für einen sicheren Stand der Schutzmappe mit Bluetooth-Tastatur SBiT 82 B2 verwenden Sie das
Verschlussband/ den Aufsteller (11).

Verwenden Sie den mittleren Knopf (Druckknopf) des Verschlussbandes/Aufstellers (11), damit sich
das Verschlussband zu einem dreieckigem Aufsteller formt, wie in der Abbildung (B) auf der
Innenseite des Umschlags dieser Bedienungsanleitung gezeigt.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihr iPad

richtig in der Halterung sitzt.

Inbetriebnahme

Die Tastatur wird über Bluetooth mit dem iPad® verbunden. Gehen Sie dazu wie
folgt vor:

 Aktivieren Sie hierzu an Ihrem iPad

Allgemein | Bluetooth.

 Schalten Sie danach das Bluetooth-Keyboard ein, indem Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schalter

in die Position „ON“ schieben. Die Bluetooth-Verbindungs-LED (2) leuchtet kurz auf.

 Um eine Verbindung zwischen dem iPad

Bluetooth Aktivierungs-/Verbindungstaste (4) kurz gedrückt werden. Die Bluetooth-Tastatur
sucht nun 5-10 Sekunden (max. 150 Sekunden) nach dem iPad®. Die Bluetooth-Verbindungs­LED (2) blinkt so lange, bis eine Verbindung hergestellt wurde. Nach Herstellung der
Verbindung leuchtet die Bluetooth-Verbindungs-LED (2) für ein paar Sekunden und erlischt
anschließend.

Wird die Verbindung zum ersten Mal hergestellt muss eine Zahlenkombination auf der
Bluetooth-Tastatur eingegeben und mit ENTER bestätigt werden. Diese wird auf dem iPad
Display angezeigt.

halten der „fn“-Taste und tippen der entsprechtende Taste. Beispiel: Für die Ziffer 1
drücken Sie die „fn“-Taste und die Taste „J“ gleichzeitig.

Die Sondertasten @ und € erreichen Sie durch gleichzeitiges Drücken der „alt-option“­Taste und der Taste „L“ bzw. „E“.

Problemlösung

Hat die Bluetooth-Tastatur keine Funktion, prüfen Sie bitte folgendes:

 Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Tastatur eingeschaltet ist.

 Laden Sie den Akku.

 Wurde keine Verbindung hergestellt, drücken Sie die Bluetooth Aktivierungs-

/Verbindungstaste (4), damit eine Verbindung hergestellt werden kann (die Bluetooth­Verbindungs-LED (2) blinkt).

 Tippen Sie während die Bluetooth-Verbindungs-LED (2) blinkt auf dem iPad

Einstellungen | Allgemein | Bluetooth auf das Bluetooth-Keyboard in der Geräteliste, um
eine Verbindung herzustellen.

Um festzustellen, ob die Tastatur ausgeschaltet ist, prüfen Sie bitte folgendes:

Wartung / Reinigung

Wartungsarbeiten sind erforderlich, wenn das Gerät beschädigt wurde, z.B. wenn das
Gerätegehäuse beschädigt ist, Flüssigkeit oder Gegenstände ins Innere des Gerätes gelangt sind
oder wenn es Regen oder Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt wird. Wartungsarbeiten sind auch erforderlich,
wenn es nicht einwandfrei funktioniert oder heruntergefallen ist. Falls Sie Rauchentwicklung,
ungewöhnliche Geräusche oder Gerüche feststellen, trennen Sie das Gerät sofort vom Stromnetz.
In diesen Fällen darf das Gerät nicht weiter verwendet werden, bevor eine Überprüfung durch
einen Fachmann durchgeführt wurde. Lassen Sie alle Wartungsarbeiten nur von qualifiziertem
Fachpersonal durchführen. Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse des Gerätes. Bei geöffnetem Gehäuse
besteht Lebensgefahr durch elektrischen Schlag. Reinigen Sie das Gerät nur mit einem sauberen,
trockenen Tuch, niemals mit aggressiven Flüssigkeiten.

Umwelthinweise und Entsorgungsangaben

Wenn dieses Symbol eines durchgestrichenen Abfalleimers auf einem Produkt
angebracht ist, unterliegt dieses Produkt der europäischen Richtlinie 2002/96/EC.

Alle Elektro- und Elektronikaltgeräte müssen getrennt vom Hausmüll über dafür staatlich

Câbles

Saisissez toujours les câbles au niveau de la fiche et ne tirez pas sur le câble lui-même. Ne
posez pas de meubles ni autres objets lourds sur le câble et veillez à ne pas le plier, en
particulier au niveau du connecteur et des prises. Ne faites jamais de nœud sur un câble et ne
l'attachez pas à d'autres câbles. Tous les câbles doivent être disposés de façon à ce qu’ils ne
gênent pas le passage et que personne ne puisse marcher dessus.

Interface radio

N'utilisez pas l'appareil lorsque vous êtes dans un avion, un hôpital, une salle d'opération ou
à proximité d'un système électronique médical. Les signaux de fréquence radioélectriques
peuvent altérer le fonctionnement des appareils sensibles. Veillez à toujours maintenir
l'appareil à une distance minimale de 20 cm d’un stimulateur cardiaque afin d'éviter toute
interférence susceptible d'altérer le bon fonctionnement de l'implant médical. Les fréquences
radioélectriques peuvent provoquer des nuisances sonores dans les prothèses auditives. Pour
prévenir tout risque d’explosion ou d’incendie, ne placez pas l'appareil avec sa fonction de
transmission radioélectrique activée à proximité de gaz inflammables ou d’une atmosphère

Avant la mise en service

Charger la batterie

La batterie du clavier est chargée par le câble USB fourni (7). Branchez le clavier Bluetooth pour le
chargement au chargeur iPad

Introduction de l'iPad®

Afin de pouvoir utiliser l'orifice pour la caméra iPad®(10) et l'orifice pour le branchement du casque

iPad

(9), introduisez votre iPad® de manière à ce que le bouton Home de l'iPad® se trouve à droite

(cf. illustration (A) sur la face intérieure de la couverture de ce mode d'emploi).

Placement de l'étui de protection

Pour stabiliser l'étui de protection avec le clavier Bluetooth SBiT 82 B2, utilisez la bande de
fermeture/le support (11).

Utilisez le bouton (pression) du milieu de la bande de fermeture/support (11) afin que la bande de
fermeture forme un support triangulaire, tel que représenté sur l'illustration (B) sur la face intérieure
de la couverture du présent mode d’emploi.

Mise en service

Le clavier est relié par Bluetooth à votre iPad®. Procédez
comme suit :

 Pour ce faire, activez sur votre iPad

Bluetooth.

 Allumez le clavier Bluetooth en plaçant le bouton marche/arrêt

"ON". La DEL de connexion Bluetooth (2) s'allume brièvement.

 Pour établir une connexion entre l'iPad

touche d'activation et de connexion Bluetooth (4). Le clavier Bluetooth recherche l'iPad
pendant 5 à 10 secondes (max. 150 secondes). La DEL de connexion Bluetooth (2) clignote
jusqu'à l'établissement de la connexion. Une fois la connexion établie, la DEL de connexion
Bluetooth (2) s’allume pendant quelques secondes puis s’éteint.

A la première connexion, il faut entrer un code à chiffres sur le clavier Bluetooth et
confirmer avec la touche ENTRÉE. Celui-ci s’affiche sur l'écran de l'iPad

Les chiffres du pavé numérique (chiffres bleus/symboles) sont accessibles en maintenant la
touche "fn" enfoncée et en pressant la touche correspondante. Exemple : pour le chiffre 1,
pressez simultanément la touche "fn" et la touche "J".

Les touches spéciales @ et € sont accessibles en pressant simultanément les touches "Alt­option" et "`" resp. "$".

Dépannage

Si le clavier Bluetooth ne réagit pas, veuillez vérifier les points suivants :

 Assurez-vous que le clavier est allumé.

 Chargez la batterie.

 Vérifiez si la fonction Bluetooth est bien activée sur votre iPad® Bluetooth.

 Vérifiez si une connexion a été établie entre le clavier Bluetooth et l'iPad

Général | Bluetooth.

 Si aucune connexion n'a été établie, pressez la touche d'activation et de connexion

Bluetooth (4), afin d'établir une connexion (la DEL de connexion Bluetooth (2) clignote).

 Pendant que la DEL de connexion Bluetooth (2) clignote sur l'iPad

Général | Bluetooth, sélectionnez le clavier Bluetooth dans la liste des périphériques pour
établir la connexion.

Pour vérifier que le clavier est bien éteint, vérifiez le point suivant :

Le mot de passe d’identifiant Apple n’est pas accepté.

Maintenance/nettoyage

L'appareil doit être soumis à une maintenance lorsqu'il a été endommagé, par exemple si le boîtier
a été endommagé, si un liquide ou des objets ont pénétré à l'intérieur de l'appareil, s'il a été
exposé à la pluie ou à l'humidité. Les travaux de maintenance sont également nécessaires lorsqu'il
ne fonctionne pas parfaitement ou après une chute. Si vous décelez de la fumée, des bruits ou des
odeurs inhabituels, débranchez immédiatement l'appareil du secteur. Si cela se produit, cessez
immédiatement d'utiliser l'appareil et faites-le réviser par un service technique agréé. En cas de
réparation de maintenance, faites appel uniquement à un personnel qualifié. N'ouvrez jamais le
boîtier de l'appareil. L'ouverture de l'appareil comporte un risque d'électrocution et constitue un
danger de mort. Utilisez uniquement un chiffon propre et sec pour nettoyer l'appareil ; n'utilisez
jamais de liquides corrosifs.

Consignes sur l'environnement et sur l'élimination

Si le symbole d'une poubelle barrée est apposé sur un produit, cela signifie qu'il est
soumis à la directive européenne 2002/96/EC.

Tous les appareils électriques et électroniques doivent être éliminés séparément des

ordures ménagères et remis aux points de collecte prévus par les autorités publiques.
En procédant à la mise au rebut conforme de votre appareil usagé, vous contribuez à la protection

La batterie intégrée ne peut pas être retirée pour être mise au rebut.

Cavi

Afferrare il cavo sempre attraverso il connettore e non tirare il cavo stesso. Non posizionare
mobili o altri oggetti pesanti sui cavi e assicurarsi che questi non vengano piegati, in
particolare modo in prossimità del connettore e delle prese di collegamento. Non fare mai
nodi in un cavo e non legarlo ad altri cavi. Tutti i cavi devono essere posizionati in modo tale

Messa in funzione

La tastiera può essere collegata tramite Bluetooth al vostro iPad®. A tal fine procedete come segue:

 Attivate sul vostro iPad

Impostazioni | Generali | Bluetooth.

 Accendete poi la tastiera Bluetooth portando il tasto on/off

accende per breve tempo il LED di connessione Bluetooth (2).

 Per stabilire il collegamento tra iPad

pressione sul tasto di attivazione/connessione Bluetooth (4). La tastiera Bluetooth cerca ora

®

per 5-10 secondi (max. 150 secondi). Il LED di connessione Bluetooth (2) lampeggia

l'iPad
finché non viene stabilito il collegamento. Non appena stabilita la connessione, il LED di
connessione Bluetooth (2) lampeggia per circa 2 secondi e poi si spegne.

Quando si stabilisce il collegamento per la prima volta è necessario inserire una
combinazione di cifre sulla tastiera Bluetooth e confermare con ENTER. Questa
combinazione si visualizza sul display dell'iPad

Soluzione dei problemi

Se la tastiera Bluetooth non funziona, verificate quanto segue:

 Assicuratevi che la tastiera sia accesa.

 Caricate la batteria.

 Verificate se la funzione Bluetooth del vostro iPad® è attiva.

stabilito un collegamento alla tastiera Bluetooth.

Manutenzione/pulizia

Se l'apparecchio o il corpo esterno è stato danneggiato, se al suo interno sono penetrati liquidi od
oggetti, se è stato esposto alla pioggia o all'umidità, è necessario eseguire la riparazione. È
necessaria la riparazione anche se l'apparecchio non funziona perfettamente o se è caduto. Se si
dovessero sviluppare fumo, rumori oppure odori insoliti, scollegare subito l'apparecchio dalla rete
elettrica. In questi casi utilizzare nuovamente l’apparecchio solo dopo un controllo effettuato da un
tecnico specializzato. Tutti i lavori di manutenzione devono essere eseguiti da personale
specializzato. Non aprire mai il corpo esterno dell'apparecchio. Quando l’apparecchio è aperto
sussiste il pericolo di morte in seguito a scossa elettrica. Pulire l’apparecchio solo con un panno
asciutto e pulito e mai con liquidi aggressivi.

Avvertenze per l'ambiente e indicazioni di smaltimento

vele sneltoetsen zorgen ervoor dat dit toetsenbord de bediening van uw iPad

Bedoeld gebruik

Dit Bluetooth-toetsenbord is een IT-apparaat (informatietechnologie): Het kan worden gebruikt in
combinatie met een Apple iPad
ruimten en in tropische klimaatzones worden gebruikt. Dit apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik
binnen een bedrijf of voor commerciële doeleinden. Het apparaat is uitsluitend bestemd voor
huiselijk en privégebruik; elk ander gebruik geldt als niet doelmatig. Dit apparaat voldoet aan alle
voor CE-markering relevante richtlijnen en normen. Wijzigingen aan het apparaat, die niet door de
fabrikant zijn toegestaan, kunnen de overeenstemming met deze richtlijnen en normen teniet doen.

gebruikt, zelfs wanneer u ervaren bent in de omgang met elektronische apparatuur. Bewaar deze
handleiding goed om er ook later op terug te kunnen vallen. Wanneer u het apparaat doorgeeft,
geef dan in ieder geval ook deze handleiding erbij.

 het apparaat niet wordt blootgesteld aan directe warmtebronnen (bijv. radiatoren);

Kinderen en personen met beperkingen

Elektrische apparatuur behoort niet in kinderhanden. Ook personen met beperkingen dienen

elektrische apparatuur aangepast te gebruiken. Laat kinderen en personen met beperkingen
nooit zonder toezicht elektrische apparatuur gebruiken. Deze kunnen eventuele gevaren niet
altijd juist inschatten. Kleine onderdelen kunnen bij inslikken levensgevaarlijk zijn. Roep direct
medische hulp in wanneer er een onderdeel is ingeslikt. Houd ook verpakkingsmateriaal, met
name plastic zakken, buiten bereik. Er bestaat gevaar voor verstikking.

Gebruiksomgeving

Plaats het apparaat op een stabiele, vlakke ondergrond en plaats geen voorwerpen op het
apparaat. Het apparaat is niet bedoeld voor gebruik in omgevingen met een hoge
temperatuur of vochtigheid (zoals een badkamer) en dient stofvrij te worden gehouden.
Gebruikstemperatuur en luchtvochtigheid: 5 °C tot 40 °C, max. 90% relatieve
luchtvochtigheid.

Kabels

Pak alle kabels altijd vast bij de stekker en trek nooit aan de kabel zelf. Plaats geen meubels
of andere zware voorwerpen op kabels en let erop dat ze niet knikken, in het bijzonder bij de
stekkers en de aansluitingen. Maak nooit knopen in kabels en bind ze niet samen met andere
kabels. Alle kabels moeten zo worden gelegd dat niemand erop kan gaan staan en dat ze
niemand in de weg liggen.

Draadloze interface

Gebruik het apparaat niet wanneer u zich in een vliegtuig, ziekenhuis, operatiekamer of in de
buurt van medische elektronische systemen bevindt. De uitgezonden straling kan de werking
van gevoelige apparatuur negatief beïnvloeden. Houd het apparaat minstens 20 cm
verwijderd van een pacemaker, omdat anders het correcte functioneren van de pacemaker
door radiogolven nadelig kan worden beïnvloed. De uitgezonden radiogolven kunnen
storende geluiden in gehoorapparaten veroorzaken. Breng het apparaat niet met
ingeschakelde draadloze functie in de buurt van ontvlambare gassen of een
explosiegevaarlijke omgeving (zoals een spuiterij of schilderswerkplaats) omdat de
uitgezonden radiogolven een explosie of brand kunnen veroorzaken. Het bereik van de
radiogolven is afhankelijk van de omgevingsomstandigheden. Bij dataverkeer via een
draadloze verbinding kunnen ook onbevoegde derden gegevens ontvangen. Targa GmbH is
niet verantwoordelijk voor radio- of televisiestoringen die worden veroorzaakt door niet­toegestane wijzigingen aan dit apparaat. Targa aanvaardt bovendien geen aansprakelijkheid
voor het gebruik resp. de vervanging van aansluitkabels en apparaten die niet door Targa
GmbH zijn vermeld. Voor het verhelpen van storingen die door dergelijke niet-toegestane
wijzigingen worden veroorzaakt en voor vervanging van de apparaten is uitsluitend de
gebruiker verantwoordelijk.

Voor de ingebruikname

Accu opladen

De accu van het toetsenbord wordt opgeladen via de meegeleverde USB-kabel (7). Sluit daartoe
het Bluetooth-toetsenbord aan op de iPad

®

-oplader en steek deze in het stopcontact.

Ingebruikname

Het toetsenbord wordt via Bluetooth verbonden met de iPad®. Ga daartoe als
volgt te werk:

 Activeer Bluetooth op uw iPad

Instellingen | Bluetooth.

 Zet vervolgens het Bluetooth-toetsenbord aan door de aan/uit-knop

positie te schuiven. De LED-indicator voor Bluetooth/verbinding (2) licht even op.

 Om een verbinding te leggen tussen de iPad

activerings/verbindingsknop (4) kort te worden ingedrukt. Het Bluetooth-toetsenbord zoekt nu
5-10 seconden lang (max. 150 seconden) naar de iPad®. De LED-indicator voor
Bluetooth/verbinding (2) knippert net zolang tot er een verbinding is gelegd. Zodra de
verbinding is gelegd, licht de LED voor Bluetooth/verbinding (2) enkele seconden op en gaat
vervolgens uit.

Als de verbinding voor de eerste keer wordt gelegd, dient er een toetsencombinatie op het
Bluetooth-toetsenbord te worden ingegeven en met ENTER te worden bevestigd. Deze

De getallen van het numerieke toetsenbord (blauwe cijfers/symbolen) zijn te bereiken
door het ingedrukt houden van de „fn“-toets terwijl u het gewenste getal intoetst.
Voorbeeld: Voor het getal 1 drukt u tegelijkertijd op de „fn“-toets en de toets „J“.

De speciale toets @ zijn te bereiken door het gelijktijdig indrukken van de „shift“-toets en
de toets „2“. De speciale toets € zijn te bereiken door het gelijktijdig indrukken van de
„alt-option“-toets en de toets „2“.

Probleemoplossing

Controleer als het Bluetooth-toetsenbord niet functioneert het volgende:

 Controleer of het toetsenbord aan staat.

 Laad de accu op.

 Controleer of op uw iPad® Bluetooth geactiveerd is.

Onderhoud / Reiniging

Onderhoudswerkzaamheden zijn vereist als de behuizing van het apparaat is beschadigd, als er
vloeistof of voorwerpen in het apparaat terecht zijn gekomen of als het apparaat is blootgesteld
aan regen of vocht. Er is ook onderhoud nodig als het niet goed werkt of is gevallen. Als u merkt
dat het apparaat rook, ongewone geluiden of geuren produceert, dient het onmiddellijk uit het
stopcontact te worden verwijderd. In dit geval dient het apparaat niet verder te worden gebruikt en
moet het worden nagekeken door een bevoegd onderhoudstechnicus. Neem contact op met een
gekwalificeerd vakman als er onderhoudswerkzaamheden nodig zijn. Open in geen geval de
behuizing van het apparaat. Bij geopende behuizing bestaat levensgevaar door een elektrische
schok. Reinig het apparaat uitsluitend met een schone, droge doek en gebruik nooit agressieve
vloeistoffen.

Milieurichtlijnen en afvoerbepalingen

Cables

Always handle the cables by the connector and do not pull on the cables themselves. Never
place furniture or other heavy objects on the cable and take care that the cable is not kinked,
especially near the plug and connection sockets. Never make knots in any of the cables or tie
them together with other cables. Ensure that all cables are placed so that no one can trip over
them and they do not cause an obstruction.

Radio interface

Do not use the device on aircraft, in hospitals, operating rooms or in the vicinity of medical
electronic systems. The transmitted radio waves can impair the functionality of sensitive
devices. Keep the device at least 20cm away from any pacemakers, since the proper
functioning of the pacemaker can be impaired by radio waves. The transmitted radio waves
can cause interference in hearing aids. Do not place the device in the vicinity of flammable
gases or in an explosion-hazard environment (e.g. paint shop) when the radio components are
switched on since the transmitted radio waves can cause an explosion or a fire. The range of
the radio waves is dependent on conditions in the surrounding environment. In case of data
traffic via a wireless connection, it is also possible for unauthorised third parties to receive

Prior to use

Charging the battery

Use the USB cable (7) supplied to charge the keyboard battery. To do so, connect the Bluetooth
keyboard to the iPad

®

charger and plug it into the socket.

Charge status of the keyboard battery:

First use

The keyboard is connected to the iPad® via Bluetooth. Connect it as
follows:

 Activate it on your iPad
 Then switch on the Bluetooth keyboard by sliding the on/off switch

position. The Bluetooth connection LED (2) lights up briefly.

 To connect the iPad

connection button (4). The Bluetooth keyboard now searches 5-10 seconds (max. 150
seconds) for the iPad
established. After the connection is established, the Bluetooth connection LED (2) lights up for
a few seconds and then goes out.

The first time that the connection is established, you must enter a numerical code on the

To use the numbers on the number pad (blue numbers/icons), hold down the "fn" key and
press the appropriate key. Example: For the number 1, press the "fn" key and the "J" key at
the same time.

For @, press the "shift" key and "2" at the same time. For €, press the "alt" key and "2" at
the same time.

Troubleshooting

Please check the following if the Bluetooth keyboard is not working:

 Check that the keyboard is switched on.

 Charge the battery.

 Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPad

 Check on your iPad

under Settings | General | Bluetooth to see whether a connection has

been established to the Bluetooth keyboard.

 If a connection has not been made, press the Bluetooth activation/connection button (4)

so that you can establish a connection (the Bluetooth connection LED (2) flashes).

 While the Bluetooth connection LED (2) is flashing on the iPad

| Bluetooth and select the Bluetooth keyboard from the list of devices in order to establish
a connection.

Check the following to determine whether the keyboard is switched off:

 If you have switched off the Bluetooth keyboard and there is no longer a response to

keystrokes, the keyboard is off.

The Apple ID password is not accepted.

 Please note that only characters accepted by Apple may be used.

Servicing/cleaning

It is necessary to service the device if it has been damaged in any way, for example, if the housing
is damaged, if liquid or objects have penetrated the device or if the product has been exposed to
rain or moisture. Servicing is also required if the device is not working properly or has been
dropped. If smoke is produced, or there are any unusual sounds or smells, disconnect the device
immediately from the mains. In these cases, the device should not be used until it has been
inspected by authorised service personnel. Only have the device serviced by qualified personnel.
Never open the housing of the device. There is the risk of a fatal electric shock when the housing is
open. Only use a clean, dry cloth for cleaning and never use any corrosive liquids.

Environmental and disposal information

When the crossed out wheelie bin symbol appears on a product, this indicates that the
product is subject to the European Directive 2002/96/EC.

All old electrical and electronic devices must be separated from normal household
waste and disposed of at designated state facilities. The correct disposal of old devices in this
manner will prevent environmental pollution and human health hazards.

For further information about proper disposal, contact your local authorities, waste disposal office
or the shop where you bought the device.

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally compatible manner. Cardboard can be put out for
municipal paper collections or brought to public collection points for recycling. Films and plastic
used for packaging the device are collected by your local disposal services and disposed of in an
environmentally compatible manner.

The integrated battery cannot be removed for disposal.

This device is sold with three years warranty from the date of purchase. Please keep the original
receipt in a safe place as proof of purchase. Before using your product for the first time, please
read the enclosed documentation or online help. Should any problems arise which cannot be
solved in this way, please call our hotline. Please have the article number and, if available, the
serial number to hand for all enquiries. If it is not possible to solve the problem on the phone, our
hotline support staff will initiate further servicing procedures depending on the fault. Within the
warranty period the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge as we deem appropriate.
No new warranty period commences if the product is repaired or replaced. Consumables such as
batteries, rechargeable batteries and lamps are not covered by the warranty.

Your statutory rights towards the seller are not affected or restricted by this warranty.
