The USB charger with Bluetooth® headset is an information technology device for use in vehicles with an on-board power supply of 12/24V.

Basic safety instructions
To ensure safe operation of the device, follow the safety guidelines set out below:
Check the appliance for visible external damage
before use. Do not operate a device that has been damaged or dropped.
This device may be used by children aged
8 years and above and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have been told how to use the device safely and are aware of the potential risks. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

Never subject the device to extreme heat or
humidity. This applies especially to storage in a vehicle. Extreme temperatures can occur in car interiors and glove compartments during long periods of immobilisation. Remove any electrical and electronic devices from the vehicle.

When using the device (incl. any connected
devices), ensure that it does not interfere with the steering, braking or the operation of other vehicle systems (such as airbags) and does not restrict your field of view when driving.
Comply with all local laws. Only operate the
device on those occasions in which the traffic situation permits it and in which you will not endanger, injure, obstruct or cause annoyance to other road users. Therefore, you should only operate the device in a stationary vehicle.
Do not allow yourself to be distracted from the
traffic situation by operating the device or reading the display! Before starting your journey, famil­iarise yourself with how to use the device and practice how to use it safely!

the appliance.

use.

WARNING! Unplug the device from the
cigarette lighter (vehicle socket) immediately if you notice unusual noises, a burnt smell or smoke. Have the device checked by a qualified specialist before using it again.
Never open the device housing. There are no
parts inside the device which require user main­tenance. Do not make any unauthorised modi­fications or alterations to the device. All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist com­panies or by the Customer Service department. Improper repairs may put the user at risk. and will also invalidate any warranty claim.
Defective components must always be replaced
with original replacement parts. Compliance with the safety requirements can only be guaranteed by using these replacement parts.

lithium-polymer battery. Improper use of lithium­polymer batteries can cause fires, explosions, leakages of hazardous materials or other haz­ards! Do not throw the device into an open fire.

Keep the Bluetooth
away from any pacemaker or implanted defibrillator, as the proper functioning of the pacemaker or the implanted defibrillator could be affected by radio waves.
The transmitted radio waves can cause noise
interference in hearing aids.
Do not use the Bluetooth
radio components switched on in the presence of flammable gases or in a potentially explosive atmosphere (e.g. in a paint shop), as the transmitted radio waves can cause an explosion or ignite a fire.
The range of the radio waves is dependent on
the environment and the ambient conditions.
Data transmissions via a wireless connection can
be intercepted by unauthorised third parties.

Charging the Bluetooth
®
headset
CAUTION
Use only the supplied USB charger 1 to
charge the Bluetooth® headset 8!
To preserve your vehicle's battery, charge the
battery only when the motor is running.
®
Before using the Bluetooth
headset 8, the
integrated battery must be completely charged.

Plug the USB charger 1 into the 12/24V
connection of your vehicle. As a rule, this is the cigarette lighter socket in the dashboard of your vehicle.
The operating LED in the housing of the USB
charger 1 lights up white and signals readiness for operation. Depending on the vehicle type, it is possible that the ignition has to be switched on first.
Plug the Bluetooth
®
headset 8 into the USB charger 1. Make sure that the charging contacts 2/5 are touching (see fig. 1). The magnetic holder 3 in the USB charger 1 ensures that the Bluetooth® headset 8 cannot fall out.

After charging, remove the USB charger 1 from
the cigarette lighter.
NOTE
The multifunction button 6 flashes
alternately blue and orange during charging. When the battery is fully charged, the multi­function button
6 flashes blue rapidly.
If the Bluetooth® headset 8 is paired with a mobile phone, the status indicators flash slowly.
Charging takes about 3 hours when the
Bluetooth® headset 8 is fully discharged.
Around 30 minutes before the battery is fully
discharged, there will be a series of beeps every 12 minutes. The multifunction button
6 also flashes orange three times every 30 seconds. Before the battery is fully dis­charged, there will be one final series of beeps.

Replacing the ear cushions
The Bluetooth® headset 8 is supplied with the medium ear cushions 4 already fitted. Depending on the size of your ear, you can use ear cushions of a different size 0 (also supplied).
NOTE
The better the ear cushion seals off the ear
canal, the better the sound quality.
Pull the ear cushion 4 carefully with your fingers
to remove it from the Bluetooth® headset 8 (see fig. 2).
Push the ear cushion 0 onto the Bluetooth
headset 8 until it is firmly fitted in place (see fig. 3).

Pairing the Bluetooth
®
headset with
a compatible mobile phone
Before you can use the Bluetooth® headset 8, you must pair it with a compatible mobile phone.
When the Bluetooth
into the USB charger 1 and the vehicle ignition is switched on, the Bluetooth® headset 8 automatically switches to pairing mode. The multi­function button and blue. When the Bluetooth® headset 8 is fully charged, the multifunction button 6 flashes blue rapidly.

Set the mobile phone so that it scans for

Select the entry SBF 2 B2 from the list of found
devices on your mobile phone and, if required, enter the code 0000 to connect the two devices. If the pairing is successful, you will hear a short beep.
The Bluetooth
®
headset 8 is now in standby mode and the multifunction button 6 flashes blue every 5 seconds. If the Bluetooth
®
headset 8 is being charged
in the USB charger 1, the multifunction button
6 flashes alternately blue and orange
every 2.5 seconds.
NOTE
If the Bluetooth
®
headset 8 is being
charged in the USB charger 1 during the pairing attempt, the Bluetooth® headset 8 switches off automatically after 15 minutes. If this happens, you will have to switch the Bluetooth® headset 8 back on before restarting the pairing process.

NOTE
The next time you switch on the Bluetooth
®
headset 8, it will connect automatically to the last-connected mobile phone. If your mobile phone does not automatically reconnect to the
Bluetooth® headset 8 you must re-establish
the connection manually. A detailed descrip­tion of how to do this is to be found in the operating instructions for your mobile phone.
If you want to connect the Bluetooth
®
head-
set 8 to another mobile phone, deactivate the Bluetooth® function on the connected mobile phone. You will hear a beep and the multifunction button 6 flashes rapidly blue or alternately orange and blue if the
Bluetooth® headset 8 is being charged in
the USB charger 1. The Bluetooth® headset 8 can be paired with another mobile phone immediately.
The Bluetooth
®
headset 8 can save up
to two mobile phones. You only make an active Bluetooth® connection to one mobile phone at a time, however.

Operation and use
Switching the Bluetooth on/off
Plug the USB charger 1 including the
Bluetooth® headset 8 into your vehicle’s cig-
arette lighter. When you switch on your vehicle’s ignition, the Bluetooth on automatically.
If the Bluetooth
into the USB charger 1, press the multifunc­tion button 6 briefly to switch on the Bluetooth® headset 8.
To switch the Bluetooth
the multifunction button 6 for 2 seconds. The multifunction button 6 lights up orange for 3 seconds. The Bluetooth® headset 8 should not be in the USB charger 1 if the charger is plugged into the cigarette lighter and the ignition is switched on.

Accepting/ending a call
Unplug the Bluetooth
USB charger 1 to receive a call.
If the Bluetooth

Bluetooth® headset 8 into the USB charger 1 to end the call.

Redialling
Press the multifunction button 6 twice in
quick succession to redial the last-called number.
Automatic call answering
If automatic call answering is activated on your mobile phone, it will automatically accept incoming calls after a preset time and reroute them to the
Bluetooth® headset 8. For more information on
automatic call answering, refer to the instruction manual of your mobile phone.

Rejecting a call
Press the multifunction button 6 for 2 seconds to reject an incoming call.
Music playback
You can also used the Bluetooth® headset 8 to play music in mono quality. Simply use the music playback function of one of the mobile phones connected via Bluetooth
®
. You can control the playback via the respective mobile phone. Please also refer to the operating instructions for the mobile phone. You can only play/pause music playback via the Bluetooth® headset 8 by briefly pressing the multifunction button 6.
Charging external devices
Plug the USB charger 1 into your vehicle’s
cigarette lighter.

charger 1 lights up white and signals readiness for operation. Depending on the vehicle type, it is possible that the ignition has to be switched on first.

Use the original charging cable of the external
device to connect one of the USB sockets 9 on the USB charger 1 to the mobile phone. Charging starts immediately and is indicated on the display of the mobile phone.
After charging, disconnect the original charging
cable of your external device from remove the USB charger 1.
CAUTION
The power consumption of a device connect-
ed to one of the USB sockets 9 may not exceed 2.4 A.
If you are using both USB sockets 9 at the
same time, the total power consumption of the connected devices may not exceed 3.1 A.
