This document describes how to exchange the upper and the lower curtai n, the wires, the
wire wheels and the spring at a MAMMOMAT 1000/3000/3000 Nova.
The upper curtain kit with part no. 65 22 291 contains the following parts:

1 - 2 Prerequisites

Safety information 1
The edges of the metal curtains are very sharp and may cause
severe injury.
When mounting the stand covers, make sure the screws at the
top of the stand are securely tightened and have functioning contact washers. These screws are used to establish protective
ground connections.

Dismounting 2
1. Remove the cap.
2. Remove the stand covers.
3. Move the lifting carriage (1/Fi g. 1). The distance between the upper part of the
lifting carriage and the top of the MAMMOMAT must be 625
+2 mm (Fig. 1).

Exchange upper and/or lower curtain 2
The information written in parenthe sis are valid during the exchange of lower curtain.
The figures explains how to exchange the upper curtain.
1. Follow the work procedure described in t he chapter "Dismounting", Page 2 - 1.
2. To secure the lower (upper) curtai n from falling down during the exchange of
upper (lower) curtain, place e.g. a screwdriver in a suitable hole of t he curtain
holder and let the screwdriver l ean against the stand (Fig. 2)

3. Loosen the lower wire wheel (1/Fig. 3).
