System Requirements
Ultraware is designed to run on Windows® 98 or 2000, Windows XP® or
Windows NT
we recommend, at minimum, the following hardware and software:

4.0, Service Pack 6. To ensure that Ultraware works correctly,
• IBM compatible PC with Pentium
• Windows98, 2000 or Windows NT 4.0, Service Pack 6 operating system
(or higher)
• Internet Explorer (IE) browser version 5.01 or higher
• 24 MB RAM (or higher)
• 50 MB hard disk space
• VGA monitor running in standard 640 x 480 resolution
(SVGA 600 x 800 resolution recommended)
• One CD ROM drive
• Windows-compatible mouse with mouse driver
• One serial port (com1, com2, com3 or com4) to communicate with the
drive
• A second serial port if using a serial mouse

Installing Ultraware
Your Ultraware software comes on a single CD ROM disc. The software is
a self-installing executable file that you load on your computer’s hard
disk. When you insert the Ultraware CD ROM disc in your computer’s CD
ROM drive, the installation process automatically begins if your computer
is configured for CD ROM autorun. If the installation does not run
automatically, you will need to follow the procedures for manual
installation.
Automatic Installation
To automatically install Ultraware from the CD ROM:
1. Start Windows.
2. Insert the Ultraware CD ROM disc in the CD ROM drive. The
installation process automatically runs.
3. Follow the instructions shown on the installation program windows to
complete the installation process.
Unless you change the default path, Ultraware files are placed in the
following path:
C:\Program Files\Rockwell Automation\Ultraware
