Operating principle
After the vehicle is started, the system automatically locks the doors when you are driving at approximately 10 km/h (6 mph) and over. The door can be unlocked: – by pressing central door unlocking switch 2. – at a standstill, by opening a front door from inside the vehicle.
Note: if a door is opened or closed, it will automatically lock again when the vehicle reaches a speed of 10 km/h (6 mph).
Activating/deactivating the function
To switch it on: with the vehicle at a
standstill and the engine running, press switch 2 until a beep sounds. To deactivate: with the vehicle at a standstill and the engine running, press switch 2 until two beeps sound. You can also deactivate/activate: – by pressing switch 2; – from the multifunction screen 1 (Please refer to “Vehicle settings customisation menu” in Section 1, regarding the “Auto door locking while driving” function).
Driver’s responsibility
If you decide to keep the doors locked when you are
driving, remember that it may be more difficult for those assisting you to gain access to the passenger compartment in the event of an emergency.
Operating faults
If you experience an operating fault (no automatic locking, the indicator light incorporated in switch 2 does not light up when trying to lock the doors and boot, etc.), make sure that locking has not been deactivated by mistake and check that the doors and boot are properly closed. If they are correctly locked and the fault is still present, contact an authorised dealer.
1.16
AUTOMATIC TRUNK LID (1/3)
If fitted on the vehicle, the trunk lid locks and unlocks at the same time as the doors.
There are four modes to manoeuvre the trunk lid:
– using the RENAULT card remote
control;
– using the controls on the trunk lid;
– using the hands-free function.
When opening or closing the tailgate, ensure that nothing interferes with the manoeuvre.
Conditions of use
– Immobilise the vehicle.
– If there is any ice or snow prevent-
ing the trunk lid from opening, this ice or snow must be removed to free the trunk lid.
– In the event that the battery is dis-
charged or if it is changed, the trunk lid should be closed (manually if necessary) to restart the trunk lid motor.
Ensure that nobody is close
to the moving parts when
opening/closing the tail-
gate.

Before opening the trunk lid, ensure that the surrounding space is sufficient to allow the trunk lid to operate. If not, stop the trunk lid movement before contact.
Operating faults
In very cold weather conditions, the automatic opening may not operate if the trunk lid joints are frozen.
Deactivate the hands-free function when you wash your vehicle. Risk of unwanted opening of the trunk lid.
Driver’s responsibility
Never leave an animal, child or adult who is not self-sufficient alone in your
vehicle, even for a short time.
They may pose a risk to themselves or to others by starting the engine, activating equipment such as the electric windows or locking the doors, for example.

When the exterior temperature is - 3 °C to + 3 °C, the °C characters flash (signalling a risk of ice on the road).
External temperature
indicator
As ice formation is related
to climatic exposure, local air humidity and temperature, the external temperature alone is not sufficient to detect ice.
If the electrical supply is cut (battery disconnected, broken supply wire, etc.), the clock will automatically go back to the right time after a few minutes once the system is capable of receiving information GPS.
