Congratulations on your new product. You have selected a high quality product.
The instructions for use are a part of this product. They contain important information about safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all the operating and safety instructions. Only use the product as described and for the indicated purpose. When passing this product on to others, please be sure to include all its documentation.
Intended use
The energy saving work light is intended for illumi­nation indoors and outdoors. The energy saving work light was developed for private use and is not designed for commercial use. Any other use not specified above is prohibited and will result in dam­age. Failure to follow the safety notices may result in life-threatening situations and injuries, as well as technical malfunction (electric shock, short circuit, fire, etc.).
Scope of delivery
Check that all the items are present and that the device is in perfect condition immediately after unpacking the device.

Safety information
IMPORTANT: Please observe the following infor-
mation when using the energy saving work light to prevent personal risks or property damage due to improper use. Damages caused by failure to observe these oper­ating instructions, particularly the safety notices, will void the warranty. We assume no liability for personal injuries and property damage caused, and resulting subsequent damages.
Danger: Failure to observe will
result in danger to life and risk of injury as well as risk of prop­erty damage!
Pass the operating instructions on to third parties.
Ensure third parties only use the energy saving
work light after receiving the necessary instruc­tions.
The energy saving work light is protected against
moisture and splash water. Protection class: IP 44. Never immerse the energy saving work light in liquids. Risk of electric shock!
Only connect the energy saving work light to a
mains supply which meets the „Technical data“.
Discontinue use if defects are noticeable.
When suspecting it can no longer be safely
operated, immediately discontinue use of the energy saving work light. Secure the energy saving work light against accidental operation. Operation is no longer safe if the product is not working or shows visible damage, etc.
Do not manipulate the energy saving work light.
Never open the energy saving work light (ex-
cept when changing the bulb), manipulate or modify. This action poses a risk to life due to electric shock and is prohibited.
The energy saving work light has no parts for
the user to maintain.
This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with re­duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Do not use in flammable or explosive environ-
ments.
Do not use the energy saving work light in flam-
mable and explosive environments containing flammable liquids, gasses or dusts. The energy saving work light is not approved for this envi­ronment.
Regularly check the energy saving work light
for visible damage.

Unplug when changing the light bulb.
Unplug from the mains. After opening, live
components can be accessible when plugged
in or switched on. Have repairs performed by an electrician. Observe the setup clearance.
Maintain adequate distance (at
1 m
least 1 m) from illuminated surfaces. The energy saving work light heats
up during use. Keep highly flammable materials
away from the device. Never hang objects
above the energy saving work light, and never
cover. Never replace the cable yourself. If the cable
of this device becomes damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service centre
or a comparable specialist to prevent hazards.
DANGER: A defective cable must be replaced
by an electrician. This will pose a risk of fatal
injury from electric shock.
DANGER: The product must be disconnect
from the mains before opening the energy
saving work light.
Moderate risk of injury if

Do not look directly into the light.
Never look directly into the light. Doing so can
damage the retina. Allow the energy saving work light to cool down
before touching.
The energy saving work light will be very hot
during and shortly after use and can cause burns
if touched (e.g. when changing light bulbs).
The energy saving work light is preassembled.
IMPORTANT: Check all screw fittings before
initial use.
Switching on the lamp
Insert the plug end into the mains socket. The
energy saving work light has two on- and off switches

for optionally switching on one, two or all lights. The switches are located at the back. The symbols on the switch indicate the respective position as follows:

Allow the energy saving light
bulb to cool down before touching. Risk of
burns!
1. Open the sight cover
Remove the locking screws 6 at the back of
the device using a cross-tip screwdriver, and remove the sight cover
2. Remove the light bulb
Carefully bend the spacer retaining ring 9 up
to remove the light bulb. Unscrew the light bulb

from the lampholder, turning counter-clock-
wise.

Important: This chapter describes the basic
function of the energy saving work light. Carefully read the chapter to understand and implement the options and functions. Observe the following information, particularly the safety notices, to prevent incorrect operation and possible defects. If problems occur, please refer to chapter „Troubleshooting“ or contact our service address.

Positioning and attaching
the carrying handle
1. Select the location IMPORTANT: The energy saving work light
must be placed on a level surface with a max. slope of 6°. Maintain an adequate distance to illuminated surfaces (at least 1 m).
2. Adjusting the angle
Loosen the adjusting screw 2, turning it counter-
clockwise.
Set the desired angle.
Tighten the adjusting screw
wise.
3. Attaching the carrying handle
Loosen the adjusting screws 2 on the left and
right of the work light, turning it counter­clockwise.
Attach the carrying handle 12 between the
adjusting screw
Tighten the adjusting screw 2 at both sides,
turning clockwise.
Attach to a tripod or wall with the precast
screw slot on the handle.

Cleaning
Problem / fault
Only some of the light bulbs light up
IMPORTANT: All repairs require technical knowledge. These must be performed by an electrician.
Possible cause(s)
- Did you press the correct switch?
- Defective light bulb
Remedy
- Press the cor­rect switch (see "Switching on the light bulbs")
- Replace the light bulb (see "Inserting / replacing the light bulb")
Disposal
The packaging is made of environmen­tally friendly materials, which may be disposed of through your local recycling facilities.
Energy saving light bulbs contain toxic mercury and must therefore be disposed of through hazardous waste or returned to the respective hazardous substances collection sites.
DANGER: Disconnect the product from the
mains before cleaning. Only clean the product with a slightly dampened cloth.
Allow the energy saving work
light to cool down before touching. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals.

from the date of purchase (not the light bulbs). The product has been produced to the highest standards and thoroughly checked before dispatch.

The warranty does not cover damages due to im­proper handling, failure to comply with the operat­ing instructions, or manipulation by unauthorised persons. Most malfunctions are caused by incorrect operation. Therefore please first refer to the operating instruc­tions if a malfunction occurs.
Please contact the service address for Uni-Elektra GmbH before possibly returning the product to us. The product can only be returned to us after contact­ing us. Postage due shipments will not be accepted. Warranty services do not extend or restart the warranty period of 36 months.
