They contain important instructions for safety, use and disposal of the product. Please familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions before using the product. Use the product only as described and for the said range of applications. If the product is passed on to a third party, please provide all documents to the third party along with the product.

Important: Please read this instruction manual carefully to familiarize yourself with the equipment before connecting it to the gas tank. Keep this manual in order to be able to read it again.
Failure to observe the instructions in the manual can lead to serious injury and may invalidate the guarantee.

- The appliance and the accessories should not be modified. Repairs
may only be carried out by an authorised workshop or by a qualified person.
- This appliance should only be used in well-ventilated areas.
In doing so, the national regulations are applicable
• for combustion air supply and
• for preventing the accumulation of dangerous quantities of non-combusted gas
- Keep the appliance away from sources of ignition such as heat sources, open flames, debris or inflammable substances. Keep
the appliance away from inflammable substances. Keep at least 0.5 meters of distance to the sides of and 1 metre above the appliance.
- If gas escapes from the appliance (smell of gas), take it outdoors immediately to a well-ventilated location away from sources of ignition where the leak can be safely detected and repaired. If you wish to check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Never check
for leaks using a flame; always use a soapy solution!
- Gas cartridges must not be removed until completely empty.
- Disposable cartridges may only be used once; it is highly dangerous to
attempt to refill them.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children at all times.
- Use the appliance only for the purpose for which it was designed and never for any other use.
- Do not expose cartridges to temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F).
- Avoid inhaling the gas from the cartridge or any smoke produced when using the appliance.
- When using the appliance use protective goggles in accordance with the relevant legislation and protective clothing free from any grease stains. Always work on a re-proof, clean surface.
- At all times the cartridges and the appliance must be stored upright in a safe, dry place well away from any sources of heat.
- Always bear in mind that working with highly inflammable gas is inherently dangerous; do not allow familiarity with the appliance to lead to
moments of carelessness.
BEFORE FITTING THE CARTRIDGE
- Never fit cartridges to the appliance without reading the operating instructions beforehand.
- Check the appliance for signs of damage. Never use a damaged
appliance.
- Always keep the appliance in a vertical position.

- Ensure that the gas regulator is closed.
- Ensure that the rubber seal (part no. 5) is intact.
- Gas containers may only be changed in a well ventilated location, preferably outside, away from any sources of ignition, such as naked flames, ignition flames, electrical devices and away from other people.
- Never smoke when handling cartridges.
- Fit cartridges in an upright position or on a stable surface.
- To prevent leaks once the cartridge has been perforated it is
forbidden to unscrew the cartridge holder until the gas has been completely used up.
USING THE APPLIANCE
- Never use an appliance which is damaged or which leaks. Never use
the device if the seal is is damaged or worn.
- After fitting a new cartridge to a cold appliance the shape of the flame may vary for a short period of time before returning to normal.
- Never leave the appliance running unsupervised.
- Always close the gas regulator after using the appliance.
- Turn off the gas regulator immediately if it performs unusually during operation.
- It is normal for the bottom of the cartridges to cool down after prolonged periods of operation.
- CAUTION: Accessible parts may become very hot. Keep young children away from the appliance. Remember that when the appliance
is being used its parts heat up and can cause burns. This applies even if the appliance is only used for short periods of time.
Before removing the cartridge
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before disassembly, storage or packing up.
- Ensure that the gas regulator is closed.
- Always keep the appliance in an upright position.
- Disassemble and pack /store the appliance only when it has cooled down completely.
- Never use the device if the seal is is damaged or worn. Do not remove
the cartridge until it is completely empty. To remove it, open the gas regulator slightly, check that no gas escapes and shake the appliance to ensure that the cartridge contains no liquid.

Scope of use
This appliance is a portable heater for spare time and hobby applications. The appliance must be used in accordance with the instructions contained in this manual and may not be used for any other purpose. Use of the product for any other purpose and / or modification of the product counts as misuse and can be highly dangerous.
- Gas containers may only be changed in a well ventilated location, preferably outside, away from any sources of ignition, such as naked flames, ignition flames, electrical devices and away from other people.
- Discard used cartridges at a recycling facility.
WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF LEAKS
- Do not use the appliance, turn it off immediately and take it outdoors. Do not leave the appliance unsupervised until all the gas has
escaped. Contact a service agent or discard at an appropriate facility.

4. Before using the appliance
Use only cartridges recommended by the manufacturer. This appliance shall only be used with the disposable cartridge ‘ROTHENBERGER INDUSTRIAL SUPERGAS C200’ or equivalents (C200 / type 200 acc. to EN 417). It can be dangerous to connect the burner to other types of gas cylinder.

Caution! Read the safety instructions prior to fitting the gas cartridge,
especially the section "Before fitting the cartridge".
CAUTION! To prevent leaks once the cartridge has been perforated it is
forbidden to unscrew the cartridge holder until the gas has been completely used up.
Fitting the cartridge (Fig. A, B, C, D)
• Fit the cartridge outdoors or in a well-ventilated room, well away from any sources of heat
(Fig. A).
• Only use cartridges as described above.
• Position the cartridge holder vertically on a stable surface.
• Insert the cartridge in an upright position into the cartridge holder.
• Ensure that the rubber seal is intact in the appliance housing.
• Ensure that the gas regulator is closed (Fig. C).
• Hold the cartridge holder and screw the appliance into the cartridge holder (Fig. D).
• Check for leakages. To do this, hold the appliance with a gas cartridge fitted under water
for at least two minutes. Bubbles indicate a leakage.
• If gas escapes from the appliance (smell of gas or bubbles in the leak test), take the
appliance outdoors immediately to a well-ventilated location away from sources of ignition
where the leak can be safely detected and repaired. Never check for leaks using a flame; always use a soapy solution! Keep the appliance under close observance until the leaked gas has dissipated completely.
• Check whether the gas is being released properly by briefly opening the regulator.

5. Operation / use
Replacing the cartridge
• Ensure that the burner is not burning before replacing the cartridge.
• Ensure that the gas cartridge is completely empty opening the gas regulator. Ceck that
there is no gas escaping from the device; shake it to check for liquids inside the catridge.
• Remove the appliance from the cartridge holder by turning it anti-clockwise and remove
the used cartridge.
• Proceed as instructed above in the section 'Fitting the cartridge'.
• This appliance may only be used in well-ventilated areas. and not near any heat sources
• Position the appliance on a horizontal, stable and non-slippery surface.
• Open the gas regulator by a quarter turn in the anti-clockwise direction and immediately
ignite the burner using a gas lighter as shown (Fig. E)
• Adjust the required output of the appliance by turning the gas regulator in the (+) plus or
(-) minus direction.
• Bear the following in mind while selecting the pan or vessel:
• To get optimum results, the surface area of 14 cm should be completely utilised.
• The weight and height of the vessel affects the stability. Ensure that the heater does not
fall over. Danger of burns!
• If the appliance is cold, shaken or if the appliance is operated with a new gas cartridge,
an irregular, unstable flame can be produced or ‘flaring’ may occur. This is normal and
does not indicate a fault. The flame will stabilise within 2• 3 minutes after the appliance
has warmed up.
• Do not move the appliance during use.
• Turn off the appliance immediately if it performs unusually during operation. It is normal
for the bottom of the cartridges to cool down after prolonged periods of operation.
• Always close the gas regulator by turning clockwise after using the appliance. Remember
that when the appliance is being used its parts heat up and can cause burns, even if only used for short periods of time. Allow the device to cool down before storing it.

Checking for gas leaks
Check for gas leaks by holding the appliance with a gas cartridge fitted under water for at least two minutes. No bubbles may escape.
Read the safety instructions carefully before fitting the cartridge, especially the section on ‘Before removing the cartridge’.
General maintenance
Cleaning
Storage and transportation conditions
• Check whether the rubber seal is intact regularly.
• Ensure that all the connections are tight.
• When using the appliance, check that the flame does not change colour or go out of
position. The burner or the nozzle may have to be cleaned.
• In the event of any operational failure, take the appliance to a qualified technician for
repair or contact the manufacturer.
Clean the appliance regularly. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or petroleum spirit. Cleaning is particularly important if the appliance will not be used for a long period.
• If the appliance is not used for long periods, keep it at a safe, cool, dry and well-ventilated
place out of the reach of children.
• Ensure that the gas regulator is firmly locked.
• Protect the appliance and gas cartridge from sunlight and never expose it to temperatures
above 50°C.
• The appliance must be protected from shocks during transportation.

Dear customer,
This device comes with a 3 year warranty from the date of purchase. In case of defects in the product you may be entitled to legal claims against the seller of the product. These legal claims are not restricted by the following warranty.
Conditions of warranty
The warranty period begins with the date of purchase. Please preserve the original sales receipt. This document is required as proof of purchase. If a material or fabrication defect occur in this prodict within three years from the date of purchase, the product shall be repaired or replaced free of cost at our discretion. Within the three year period the warranty requires the defective product and the purchase document (sales receipt) to be provided with a brief written description of where the defect lies and when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired product or a new product shall be
returned to you. A new warranty period does not begin with the repair or exchange of the
product.
7. Warranty
Worn out appliances must be recycled at a suitable recycling facility. Do not dispose of with the household waste. For further information contact your local authority. Dispose of the packaging material according to the type of material and accordingly to any local regulations.

Warranty period and legal claims based on defects
The warranty period is not extended by the warranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damages and defects that may exist at the time of purchase must be notified immediately after removal from packaging. Any repairs arising after the expiry of the
warranty period are chargeable.
Scope of the warranty
The device has been manufactured according to strict quality guidelines and tested diligently before delivery. The warranty applies to material or fabrication defects. This warranty does not cover product parts that are subject to normal wear and tear and therefore can be considered as parts subject to wear and tear or for the damage to fragile parts, e.g switch, batteries or those made of glass.
This warranty is void if the product is damaged, not used or maintained properly. All the
instructions provided in the operating manual must be followed exactly for proper use of
the product. The purpose of use and actions which are advised or warned against must necessarily be avoided.
The product is intended solely for private use and not for professional use. The warranty is void in case of misuse or improper handling, use of force and changes that have not been carried out by our authorised service centre.
Processing a warranty case
To ensure quick processing of your issue, please follow the below instructions:
• Please be ready with the sales receipt and the product number (e.g. IAN 12345) as proof
or purchase for all queries.
• You can refer the product number from the type label, , an engraving, on the cover sheet
of your operating instructions (below left) or as sticker on the back or lower side.
• If functional or other defects occur, first call or email the following service department.
• You can then send a product recorded as defective postage free along the the sales
receipt and information about where the defect lies and when it has occurred, to the service centre address provided to you.
