S HOCK HAZARD AND MUS T BE CORRECTED BEFORE
RETURNING THE APPLIANCE TO THE CUSTOMER.
LEAKAGE CURRENT CHECK
Measure leakage current to a known earth ground
(wa ter pipe, conduit, etc.) by connecting a lea ka ge
current tester such as S impson Model 229-2 or
D
equiva lent between the ea rth ground a nd a ll exposed
meta l parts of the appliance (input/output termina ls,
screwhea ds, meta l overlays, control sha ft, etc.). Plug
the AC line cord of the applia nce directly into a 120V
AC 60 Hz outlet a nd turn the AC power switch on. Any
current mea sured must not exceed 0.5 mA.
