SUBJECT Countermeasure of the static electricity on MC-PCA 2002.Jul.09

DESCRIPTION : Custom setting value may be reset by the static electricity

REASON :

The camera may be reset by the static electricity which occurs when the Smartmedia card is
inserted/removed into/from the Card Slot on the MC-PCA.

REMARKS :

Serial number: The last 5 digits of S/N (Camera body) is greater than 50000.

<Modification method>
Add the Resistance 330ohm(2pcs.) between the write protection pin on the card slot and the
soldering pattern of MC-PCA. (Refer to D-13)

Modification parts 330ohm(KR669400) are supplied free of charge.

REASON :

1. The improvement of the problem that the ISO value is set at “100” when ISO sensitivity is

changed in the “A/S/M” mode.

2. The correction of Low-Battery indication in English : “BUTTERY” > ”BATTERY”.

3. It is modified so that the light measurement mode and the macro-mode are taken over

when REC mode is changed from the still image to the movie.

4. Priority is given to the contents set up by MODE-MENU Operation.

(MODE-MENU/ SETUP/MY-MODE SETUP /CUSTOM)

5. The improvement of the problem that the magnification of the digital zoom is set at x1.0

after the coming back from the sleep mode.

6. The improvement of problem that the settings of the image quality are not cleared in the

7. The improvement of the problem that TIFF image may not be displayed properly.

8. The correction of the WB threshold parameter.

9. The correction of the USB communication command.

10. ISO sensitivity value is memorized separately as “P” and “A/S/M”.
