WARNING - Seizures

Some people (about 1 in 4000) may have seizures or blackouts triggered by light flashes or patterns, such as while watching TV or playing video games, even if they have never had a seizure before.

Anyone who has had a seizure, loss of awareness, or other symptom linked to an epileptic condition should consult a doctor before playing a video game.

Parents should watch when their children play video games. Stop playing and consult a doctor if you

or your child have any of the following symptoms:

 

Convulsions

Eye or muscle twitching

Loss of awareness

Altered vision

Involuntary movements

Disorientation

To reduce the likelihood of a seizure when playing video games:

1.Sit or stand as far from the screen as possible.

2.Play video games on the smallest available television screen.

3.Do not play if you are tired or need sleep.

4.Play in a well-lit room.

5.Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour.

WARNING - Repetitive Motion Injuries and Eyestrain

Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, skin or eyes hurt after a few hours. Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, skin irritation or eyestrain:

Avoid excessive play. It is recommended that parents monitor their children for appropriate play.

Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour, even if you don't think you need it.

When using the stylus, you do not need to grip it tightly or press it hard against the screen. Doing so may cause fatigue or discomfort.

If your hands, wrists, arms or eyes become tired or sore while playing, stop and rest them for several hours before playing again.

If you continue to have sore hands, wrists, arms or eyes during or after play, stop playing and see a doctor.

WARNING - Battery Leakage

The Nintendo DS contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack. Leakage of ingredients contained within the battery pack, or the combustion products of the ingredients, can cause personal injury as well as damage to your Nintendo DS.

If battery leakage occurs, avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, immediately wash thoroughly with soap and water. If liquid leaking from a battery pack comes into contact with your eyes, immediately flush thoroughly with water and see a doctor.

To avoid battery leakage:

Do not expose battery to excessive physical shock, vibration, or liquids.

Do not disassemble, attempt to repair or deform the battery.

Do not dispose of battery pack in a fire.

Do not touch the terminals of the battery, or cause a short between the terminals with a metal object.

Do not peel or damage the battery label.

WARNING - Radio Frequency Interference

The Nintendo DS can emit radio waves that can affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers.

Do not operate the Nintendo DS within 9 inches of a pacemaker while using the wireless feature.

If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use the wireless feature of the Nintendo DS without first consulting your doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device.

Observe and follow all regulations and rules regarding use of wireless devices in locations such as hospitals, airports, and on board aircraft. Operation in those locations may interfere with or cause malfunctions of equipment, with resulting injuries to persons or damage to property.

STORY

This is Vibe Island, located a short

distance away from the Mushroom

Kingdom. Bowser got his hands on

the Vibe Scepter hidden here

and used its strange

powers to capture

Mario and his friends.

Princess Peach

The princess of the

Mushroom Kingdom.

Perry

A talking umbrella with

strange powers.

Princess Peach was out for a

walk when the raid happened,

so you can imagine her surprise

when she returned to the castle.

In order to help Mario and his

friends, Peach, along with a

magical umbrella named Perry headed off for Vibe Island.

Will Peach and Perry manage

to save everyone?

Closing the cover on your DS will put the game in Sleep Mode and reduce the amount of battery power used. Opening the cover will take the game out of Sleep Mode.

Getting Started

Start a Game

Once you have confirmed that the is OFF, insert the Super Princess Peach Game Card into the DS Game Card

Slot until it clicks into place, then turn the power on.

Check the contents of the start-up screen and tap the Touch Screen to display the DS menu screen.

If you touch the “Super Princess Peach” panel on the DS menu screen, the game will start.

If you have the start-up mode on the DS hardware set to Auto, the menu screen will not appear. Please see the DS hardware manual for details.

Select a File

Press on the title screen and the file-selection screen will appear. When you want to start a new game, tap a file that says New Game.

Files with data will have area names on them. Select a file with an area name and you will be able to continue that game.

Copying/Erasing Data

When you want to copy data from one file to another or erase data, touch the Copy Data or Erase Data icons. If you copy data into another file, that data will be overwritten.

*Once you have overwritten or erased data itit willwill notnot bebe recovered, so please be careful.

Stage Selection Screen

From the map screen, select the stage you want to play using and press to go to the game screen. Once you have

cleared a stage, you will move on to the next.

*The Touch Screen controls are the same with the Menu and Shop as they are on the map screen.

How to Progress

Getting Through the Game

In each area there are a number of stages. Head for the goals as you save the Toads and clear the stages.

Select a stage

Select the stage that you want to play on the stage-selection screen. p.13.

Save Toads

After you select a stage, you will go to the game screen. Save the captured Toads and head for the goal.

If you don’t save all the Toads, you won’t be able to get to Bowser’s Castle.

Clearing stages

If you get to the goal on a stage, you’ll clear that stage. When you clear a stage, the game will auto-save. Even if you don’t rescue all the Toads, you can still clear the stage. Once you have saved all the Toads, the mark for that stage will become a .

Clearing Boss stages

As you go through and clear stages, boss stages will pop up. Use your stylus to play through the area leading up to the boss–when you get to the boss, your controls will return to normal. Once you have defeated a boss, you’ll clear the area and move on to the next.

The Game Screen

Peach’s HP

If you bump into an enemy or get hit by an enemy’s attack, your HP will go down. If you run out of HP, you will go back to the stageselection screen. Either collect hearts ( p.17) or use the Calm Vibe to restore HP.
