INSERTING BATTERIES / RECHARGING RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES IN THE CD PLAYER
Open the lid of the battery compartment of the CD Player.
Inserting the batteries Insert two batteries R6/LR6 "AA" (not supplied) while observing the polarity. The negative pole connects to the spring!
Close the battery compartment again.
During battery operation, the CHARGE button must be switched OFF! While charging normal batteries, there is an EXPLOSION HAZARD!
Recharging rechargeable batteries:
Insert two NiCd rechargeable batteries 1.2 V as described above.
Connect the mains adapter.
Turn ON the CHARGE button on the device. The charge display flashes.
After some 15 hours the discharged rechargeable batteries are fully charged.
Turn OFF the CHARGE button.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read and observe the safety instructions to avoid health risk during use as intended. Improper connection of the device may damage the device or peripheral equipment.
GENERAL Keep these operating instructions always at hand. Heed all warnings labelled onto the device and specified in the operating instructions. Do not allow children to play with electrical equipment without supervision.
AMBIENT CONDITIONS Protect the device against humidity and heat. Make sure that no foreign bodies or fluids get into the device. Do not expose the device to dripping water or splash water. Take care that the ventilation of the power supply unit is not obstructed by objects such as curtains.

Operating Instructions
POWER SUPPLY Connect the mains adapter always to a mains socket 230 V ~ 50 Hz which is easily accessible. The DC output of the mains adapter must be connected exclusively to the DC input jack of the device. Use only the mains adapter supplied. Never attempt to connect the mains adapter to other jacks, as this could lead to
serious damage.
CHARGING OPERATION Only charge NiCd batteries of size R6/ LR6/ AA. Never attempt to recharge non-chargeable batteries (explosion hazard!).
CAR CONNECTION When connecting the car adapter, observe the voltage and polarity indicated. The car adapter supplied should only be used with a fuse T 1A L.
CD PLAYER The CD player is a Class 1 laser product. The unit is equipped with a safety system preventing the emergence of dangerous laser beams
during operation as intended. Never manipulate or damage the safety system of the device to avoid any eye injuries.
MALFUNCTIONING If the mains adapter, the connection cable or the device is damaged, unplug the mains adapter from the mains socket
immediately. Under no circumstances should you attempt to open or repair this device on your own. Refer all servicing to our Service Centre or another qualified service shop.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Defective NiCd rechargeable batteries and discharged batteries should not be disposed of with household
waste, but at the designated collection points.
When using the Velcro fastener, make sure that the adhesive surfaces are clean and dry. No liability can be assumed for any possibly occurring damage when removing the self-adhesive
Velcro fastener.
