HASSLE-FREE NETWORK ADMINISTRATION

Once everything is up and running, why not keep it that way?
To help minimise workflow disruptions, Kyocera’s KM-NET utilities
enable administrators to easily stay in touch with any printer on
the network. Status, default settings, toner and paper levels, IP
addresses and port settings can all be verified and modified remotely
via a Web interface.

USB DIRECT PRINTING

To offer unbeatable convenience for visitors, Acrobat PDF files can be
printed directly from USB Flash Memory devices. Visitors simply plug the
device into the printer’s USB port and print their documents. Sensitive
documents can be printed while you stand by the printer so there’s no
risk of confidential documents being seen by the wrong people.

As part of Kyocera’s commitment to the environment, this new generation of printers employs

ozone-free technology. Generally, printers create ozone due to negative main charge

systems. Kyocera has eliminated ozone creation by adopting the world’s first positive main

charge roller system. In order to maintain the longevity of this system while keeping print

quality high, a fine brush automatically cleans the roller on every pass.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Clear and bright, the backlit display on these new generation printers is always easy to read,

regardless of how strong or weak your office lighting is. Even better, the display has been

shifted to the right so it is always accessible but never in the way – leaving you lots of space

to work quickly and efficiently.

USER-FRIENDLY LCD DISPLAY

The amount of toner remaining is usually a guessing game, you know when it’s full or empty,

but with Kyocera’s intelligent toner level monitoring, you always know exactly where you

stand. Genuine Kyocera toner ensures you get a precise

reading via the KM-NET utility. When it’s time for a refill, the

only tools you need to remove the toner container are your

fingers.

INTELLIGENT TONER LEVEL MONITOR

There’s more to print quality than dots per inch. Kyocera has considered the dot itself. Because all
toner is made of tiny particles, the shape of these particles has an impact on the appearance of the
printed page. By making toner particles more spherical, images are clearer. For example, photo­graphs printed with shape-controlled toner have reduced moiré patterns. In other words, you’ll make
a better client impression per inch.

CUSTOM PAPER HANDLING FOR ANY OFFICE

Kyocera’s modular design approach allows you to answer your immediate needs now, then add

extra volume or flexibility when you need it. The standard input configuration provides a solid base

that is well-suited for small workgroups. All standard paper cassettes can handle a wide range of

paper stock. Additionally, all models feature space-saving internal duplex units as standard,

delivering double-sided printing and reducing paper consumption. On the output side, each

printer is equipped with ‘tray full’ sensors for face-down output, preventing the output tray from

overflowing.

System platform:

The FS-2000D, FS-3900DN, FS-4000DN and FS-6950DN offer USB and parallel connectivity as standard and deliver standard
network connectivity (option FS-2000D) and problem-free system administration. Kyocera’s single platform technology means
that the same driver can be used for every Kyocera PCL/PostScript print device on the network: from single-user desktop
printers to high-end multifunctional systems. Only Kyocera offers this effortless combination of IT sophistication and high­performance paper handling expertise.

PRESCRIBE IIe:

With Kyocera’s page design and control language, PRESCRIBE II, complex graphics, logos and forms (even multipart forms) can
be created on any system and stored in the printer. They can be recalled from the printer’s memory as needed, avoiding
network congestion.

KM-NET for Client/KM-NET Viewer:

The settings of all printers on the network can be checked visually and amended from any Windows® PC. KM-NET for Client
enables easy setup and monitoring of the printer status via parallel, USB or network connection. KM-NET Viewer is an advanced
printer management software tool using SNMP.
