SECTION 1 - SKYGLAZIER™

DESCRIPTION

This accessory is designed to allow the glaziers to efficiently position panels. The glazier package will consist of a tray which extends from the bottom of the platform. The panel will rest on the tray and against top-rail of the platform, which is padded to prevent damage to the panel. The accessory includes a strap to secure the panel to the platform rail. The SkyGlazier™ can only be utilized with a side entry platform.

General

READ AND UNDERSTAND THE OPERATORS MANUAL FOR THE SPECIFIC JLG MODEL BEING USED. MAKE SURE LOAD IS SECURED WITH LOAD STRAP.

DO NOT OVERLOAD TRAY OR PLATFORM. TOTAL MACHINE CAPACITY IS REDUCED WHEN TRAY IS INSTALLED.

WITH THE SKYGLAZIER INSTALLED, THE ORIGINAL PLATFORM CAPACITY RATINGS ARE REDUCED AS SPECIFIED IN TABLE 2. DO NOT EXCEED THE NEW PLATFORM CAPACITY RATING. REFER TO CAPACITY DECAL LOCATED ON TRAY.

AN INCREASE OF THE AREA EXPOSED TO THE WIND WILL DECREASE STABILITY. LIMIT PANEL AREA TO 32 SQ.FT. (3 SQ.M)

1. Make sure no personnel are beneath platform.

2. Do not exit platform over rails or stand on rails.

PREPARATION AND INSPECTION

3. Only use this option on models specified.

4. Remove tray when not in use.

1. Check for cracked welds and damage to tray. Make sure tray is properly secured to platform.

2. Check to ensure strap is not torn or frayed.

• Load SkyGlazier™ with panel and secure with strap. Position panel to its desired location.

• Replace torn or frayed straps, bent or crushed tray, missing or illegible decals.

• Check for loose nuts and bolts and Torque loose nuts and bolts to JLG Torque Chart specifications.

INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL (AFTER MARKET KITS)

8.2k Rotator (9 Hole Configuration) (2902231) and 9k Rotator (7 Hole Configuration) (2902232) Glazier Kit Installation

NOTE: For side entry platforms only.

1. Install platform support (4846573) or(4846616) onto rotator.

a. (2902231) Insert (8) 3/8-16 x1” or (2902232) Insert (6) 1/2-13 x 1"

bolts w/loctite #242 and torque to 50-55 lbs-ft.

b. (2902231) Insert the 1-8x10 1/4” or (2902232) 1-8x11” bolt through

the center and torque nut to 480 lbs-ft.

2. Install Glazier base (1001099366 - left & 1001099367 - right) and platform (3510822) onto the platform support.

a. Align base hole pattern with the hole pattern in the platform sup-

port.

b. Place platform onto the base and align similarly.

c. Secure with supplied hardware (8) 1/2-13x21/2” bolts, (16) 1/2”

washers, and (8) 1/2” nuts and loctite #242. Then torque to 85 lbsft.

3. Replace control box and foot switch with existing hardware.

4. Mount Glazier tray (1001101421) onto Glazier base.

a. Secure tray with supplied hardware (4) 3/4-10x2” bolts, (4) 3/4”

nuts, and (8) 3/4 washers and torque to 260 lbs-ft.

5. Install bumper and strap kit as shown.

6. To remove reverse instructions.

NOTE: Models 1200SJP, 1250AJP, 1350SJP and 1500SJ must be recali-

brated. Refer to Service and Maintenance Manual for calibration procedure.

SECTION 2 - SKYPOWER™ (BELT DRIVEN)

DESCRIPTION

This belt-driven generator supplies AC power to the platform to run tools, lights, cutting and welding equipment through an AC receptacle. All power regulation components are located in a watertight box that is connected by cable to the generator. The generator supplies power when running at the specified speed with the power switch on (switch is located on platform). A three-pole, 30 Amp circuit breaker protects the generator from overload.
