SAFETY AND WARNINGS
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, injury to persons, or damage when using the
appliance, follow the important safety instructions listed below:
!
WARNING!
Electrical Shock Hazard
Turn the oven off at the wall before replacing the oven lamp or other
cleaning and maintenance.
Do not cook on a broken or cracked cooktop. If the cooktop should break
or crack, cleaning solutions and spillovers may penetrate it and create a
risk of electrical shock. Contact a qualified technician immediately.
!
WARNING!
Tipping Hazard
A child or adult can tip the range and be killed. Check installation of
anti-tip device per installation instructions. Check engagement of antitip device if range is moved per installation instructions. Failure to follow
these instructions can result in death or serious burns to children and
adults
!
WARNING!
FIre Hazard
Never use your appliance for warming or heating the room. Persons could
be injured or a fire could start.
Follow the instructions on starting a Self Clean cycle carefully. Items made
from combustible materials (for example: wood, fabric, plastic) may catch
fire if left in the oven during a Self Clean cycle.
Do not place aluminium foil, dishes, trays, water or ice on the oven floor
during cooking or in the warming drawer, as doing so will irreversibly
damage the enamel; lining the oven the oven or warming drawer with
aluminium foil may even cause fire.
Never leave the cooktop unattended when in use –
Boilover causes smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
Do not use water on grease fires - smother fire or flame or use dry
chemical or foam type extinguisher.
Failure to follow this advice may result in death or serious injury.
2
SAFETY AND WARNINGS
!
WARNING!
Cut Hazard
Take care - panel edges are sharp
The razor-sharp blade of a cooktop scraper is exposed when the safety
cover is retracted. Use with extreme care and always store safely and out
of reach of children.
Failure to use caution could result in injury or cuts
!
WARNING!
Hot Surface Hazard
Accessible parts may become hot during use.
Do not touch surface units or areas near units, or the interior surfaces of
the oven and warming drawer. These may be hot enough to cause burns
even though they are dark in color. During and after use, do not touch, or
let clothing or other flammable materials contact these parts and surfaces
until they have had sufficient time to cool. Other parts and surfaces of the
appliance may become hot enough to cause burns - among these areas
are the glass surfaces within and around the cooking zones, the interior
of the oven, the interior of the warming drawer, the front edge, surfaces
adjacent to the cooktop, and the oven door.
Use only dry potholders – Moist or damp potholders on hot surfaces may
result in burns from steam. Do not let potholder touch hot heating
elements. Do not use a towel or other bulky cloth.
Let hot grease cool before attempting to handle it. Handles of saucepans
may be hot to touch. Check saucepan handles do not overhang other
cooking zones that are on. Keep handles out of reach of children.
During self-cleaning, the oven reaches higher
temperatures than it does for cooking. Under such conditions, the surfaces
may get hotter than usual. Children should be kept away.
Failure to follow this advice may result in burns and scalds or serious
injury.

SAFETY AND WARNINGS
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS!
yRead all the instructions before using the appliance. Use the appliance only for its
intended purpose as described in these instructions.
yProper installation – Be sure your appliance is properly installed and grounded by a
qualified technician. A risk of tip-over exists when the appliance is not installed in
accordance with the installation instructions.
yDo not operate the appliance if it is damaged or not working properly. If you received
a damaged product, contact your dealer or installer immediately.
yBe sure to have the installer show you where and how to turn off the power supply to
the range (i.e. location of the main fuse or circuit breaker panel)
yDo not leave children alone – Children should not be left alone or unattended in the
area where the appliance is in use. They should never be allowed to play with the
appliance or to sit or stand on any part of the appliance.
yCaution – for safety reasons, do not store items of interest to children in cabinets
above a range or at the back of the range – children climbing on the range to reach
items could be seriously injured.
yWear proper apparel – Loose-fitting or hanging garments should never be worn while
using the appliance.
yUser servicing – Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance unless specifically
recommended in the manual. All other servicing should be referred to a qualified
technician. Technicians must disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
any servicing.
yStorage in or on an appliance - flammable materials should not be stored in the oven,
warming drawer or on or near the cooktop surface.
yNever leave any objects or utensils on the cooktop.yDo not place or leave aluminium foil on the cooktop.Use care when opening the oven
door – Let hot air or steam escape before removing or replacing food.
yKeep oven vent ducts unobstructed.yKeep rugs and mats well clear of the base of the range.yPlacement of oven shelves – Always position shelves in the desired location while the
oven is cool (before preheating). If a shelf must be removed while the oven is hot, do
not let oven mitts or potholder contact the base of the oven or hot heating elements
in the oven.
yDo not clean the oven gasket or use any oven-cleaning products on it. It is essential
for a good seal, which ensures that the oven operates efficiently. Care should be taken
not to rub, damage or move it.
yDo not use oven cleaners, harsh/abrasive cleaning agents, waxes, or polishes in a self-
cleaning oven. No commercial oven cleaner, oven liner, or protective coating of any
kind should be used in or around any part of a self-cleaning oven.
yDo not use harsh/abrasive cleaners, scourers or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven
door glass since they scratch the surface, which may result in the glass shattering.
yDo not sit or stand on the oven door or place any heavy objects on it – doing so may
result in personal injury.
yBe careful when reaching for items stored in cabinets above the appliance.
4
SAFETY AND WARNINGS
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS!
ySafe food handling: leave food in the oven for as short a time as possible before and
after cooking. This is to avoid contamination by organisms which may cause food
poisoning. Take particular care during warmer weather.
yClean only the parts listed in this manual.yDo not use a steam cleaner to clean any part of the appliance.yDo not place or drop heavy item on your cooktop.yDo not stand on your range. Do not stand, sit, step or place heavy objects of the oven
door.
yNever use your cooktop as a work or storage surface.yDo not use pans with jagged edges or drag pans across the ceramic glass surface as
these can scratch the glass.
yProtective liners - Do not use aluminum foil to line any part of the oven, warming
drawer or cooktop. This will cause heat to be trapped underneath it. This trapped heat
can upset the cooking performance and damage the finish of the oven or cooktop
parts.
yDo not place any dishes, trays, water or ice directly on the oven floor during cooking,
as doing so will irreversibly damage the porcelain enamel finish.
yUse cookware of the appropriate size on the cooking zones - This appliance is
equipped with surface units of different sizes. Select utensils with flat bottoms large
enough to cover the surface unit heating element. The use of undersized utensils will
expose a portion of the heating element to direct contact and may result in ignition of
clothing. Proper relationship of utensil to heating element will also improve efficiency.
yGlazed cooking utensils – only certain types of glass, glass/ceramic, ceramic,
earthenware, or other glazed utensils are suitable for cooktop service without
breaking due to the sudden change in temperature.
yUtensil handles should be turned inward and not extend over adjacentcooking zones
– To reduce the risk of burns, ignition of flammable materials, and spillage due to
unintentional contact with the utensil, the handle of a utensil should be positioned so
that it is turned inward, and does not extend over adjacent cooking zones.
yThis device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to theyfollowing conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference; and (2) this
device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
yDo not change or modify the wireless communication device in any way. Changes
or modifications not expressly approved by Fisher & Paykel could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.
y WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to
cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. To reduce the risk from such
chemicals, make sure this appliance is installed, operated, and maintained according
to the manufacturer’s instructions.

COOKING GUIDE
Oven cooking guidelines
IMPORTANT!
yUse all the oven modes with the oven door closed.yNever use aluminum foil to cover the oven shelves or to line the floor of the oven. The
trapped heat can irreversibly damage the enamel and may even cause fire.
yDo not place water, ice, or any dish or tray directly on the oven floor, as this will
irreversibly damage the enamel.
yDo not cover the broil pan with aluminum foil. This will catch the grease and could
cause fire.
yDo not use plastic wrap or wax paper in the oven.yFor food safety reasons, do not leave food in the oven for longer than two hours
before and after cooking or defrosting. This is to avoid contamination by organisms
which may cause food poisoning. Take particular care during warmer weather.

BAKING
yFor best results when baking, always pre heat your oven. The temperature halo will
change from red to white when the set temperature is reached.
yWhile the oven is heating the broil element will be on.yWe advise you do not open the door until at least ¾ of the way through cooking.yMake sure cake pans do not touch each other or the sides of the oven.yWhen baking double the recipe (especially cookies) cook time may need to increase.yYour cookware will influence baking times. Dark pans absorb the heat more quickly than
reflective pans; glass cookware may require a lower temperature
yMulti-shelf baking may also require a slight increase in cooking time.
Shelf Position Guide
ySingle shelf: Place your baking on a shelf that will have the top of your pan near the
center of the oven cavity.
yMulti shelf: Always leave a space between shelves to allow the air to circulate.

COOKING GUIDE
Oven cooking guidelines
ROASTING
yThe Roast function is designed to brown the outside of the meat but still keep the inside
moist and juicy.
yBoneless, rolled or stuffed roasts take longer than roasts containing bones.yPoultry should be well cooked with the juices running clear and an internal temperature
of 165°F / 74°C.
yIf using a roasting bag, do not use the Roast function. The initial searing stage is too
hot for roasting bags. Use Aero Bake or True Aero and follow the manufacturer’s
instructions.
yWhen using the Roast function, do not cover your roast, as this will stop the searing
process browning the outside of the meat. If you prefer to roast in a covered pan, use
the Aero Bake function instead and increase the temperature by 70°F / 20°C.
yCook larger cuts of meat at a lower temperature for a longer time. The meat will cook
more evenly.
yAlways roast meat fat side up. That way, basting may not be required.yAlways rest the meat for at least 10 minutes after roasting to allow the juices to settle.yRemember the meat will continue to cook for a few minutes after removing it from the
oven.
Shelf Position Guide
Place the meat on a shelf so that is is in the center of the oven or lower.
BROILING
yThis is a healthier alternative to frying.yAlways broil with the oven door completely shut.yFor best results allow 5 minutes of preheat before placing food in the oven.yIf you use glass or ceramic pans, be sure they can withstand the high temperatures of
the broil.
yTo avoid piercing the meat and letting juices escape, use tongs or a spatula to turn the
meat halfway through cooking.
yBrush meat with a little oil to help keep the meat moist during cooking. Alternatively
marinade the meat before broiling (but be aware that some marinades may burn easily).
yWhere possible broil cuts of meat of a similar thickness at the same time. This will
ensure even cooking.
yAlways keep a close watch on your food while broiling to avoid charring or burning.
Shelf Position Guide
yFor thinner cuts of meat, toasting or browning foods, use a higher shelf position.yThicker cuts of meats should be broiled on lower shelves or at a lower broil setting to
ensure even cooking.
REHEATING
yUse Bake or Aero Bake to reheat food.yBake and Aero Bake are particularly good for reheating pastry based items, as the base
heat will help re-crisp the pastry case.
yAlways reheat food to piping hot. This reduces the risk of contamination by harmful
bacteria.
yOnce hot, set the oven temperature to WARM in or use the warming drawer to keep
food hot.
Never reheat food more than once.
15
OVEN FUNCTIONS
IMPORTANT!
yUse all the functions with the oven door closed.
BAKE
upper outer and lower elements
yHeat comes from both the upper and lower elements. The fan is not used in thisyfunction.yIdeal for cakes and foods that require baking for a long time or at low temperatures.yThis function is not suitable for multi-shelf cooking.
Ideal for moist foods that take a longer time to cook eg rich fruit cake, or bread.
TRUE AERO
fan and rear element
yBy using the central rear heating element and fan, hot air is blown into the cavity,
providing a consistent temperature at all levels, making it perfect for multi-shelf cooking.
yTrays of cookies cooked on different shelves are crisp on the outside and chewy in the
middle.
yMeat and poultry are deliciously browned and sizzling while remaining juicy and tender.yCasseroles are cooked to perfection and reheating is quick and efficient.yWhen multi-shelf cooking it is important to leave a gap between traysy(eg use shelves 3 & 5) to allow the air to move freely. This enables the browning ofyfoods on the lower tray.yIf converting a recipe from Bake to True Aero, we recommend that you decrease
thebake time or decrease the temperature by approximately 70°F / 20°C.
yFor items with longer bake times (eg over an hour) it may be necessary to decrease
both time and temperature.
Ideal for multi-shelf cooking biscuits, cookies, scones, muffins and cupcakes..
16
OVEN FUNCTIONS
MAXI BROIL
upper inner and outer elements
yIntense radiant heat is delivered from both top elements. You can use Maxi broil on Low
OR High (100% power)
yFor best results allow 5 minutes of preheat before placing food in the oven.yThe temperature halo will remain red while using the broil function.yThe most suitable function for ‘finishing off’ many meals, for example browning the top
of potato gratin and frittata.
Ideal for toasting bread or for top browning to ‘finish off dishes’.
AERO BROIL
fan plus upper inner and outer elements
yThis function uses the intense heat from the elements for top browning and the fan to
ensure even cooking of foods.
yMeat, poultry and vegetables cook beautifully; food is crisp and brown on the outside
while the inside remains moist and tender.
Ideal for whole chicken, tenderloin of beef or broiling your favourite chicken, fish or steak.
AERO BAKE
fan plus upper outer and lower elements
yThe oven fan circulates hot air from the top outer and the lower elements and
distributes it around the oven cavity.
yFood cooked tends to brown more quickly than foods cooked on the traditional Bake
function.
yYou may need to decrease the time from that recommended in traditional recipes.
Ideal for single shelf baking that takes less than an hour to cook – foods such as muffins,
biscuits and cupcakes or things like enchiladas
17
OVEN FUNCTIONS
AERO PASTRY + PIZZA
fan plus lower element
yThe fan circulates heat from the lower element throughout the oven.yExcellent for cooking pizza and flatbreads as it crisps the base beautifully without
overcooking the top.
ySet the temperature to for optimum pizza cooking temperature.
Ideal for foods such as sweet and savoury pastry foods and delicate foods that require
some top browning eg frittata, quiche.
ROAST
fan plus upper and lower elements
yA two-step program. An initial 20 minute searing stage crisps and browns the roast and
caramelises the outside of the meat, then the temperature drops to the level you have
preset for the remainder of the cooking period, producing a tender and juicy roast that
is full of flavor.
yOven does not require preheating.yIf desired, use the broil rack or grid, or place vegetables under the roast to allow the
juices to drain away from your meat. This will allow the hot air to circulate under the
meat as well.
Ideal for Roasting meat, chicken and vegetables.
18
OVEN FUNCTIONS
RAPID PROOF
this is not a cooking function
yGentle heat is generated from the upper and lower elementsyProvides the optimum warm and draft-free environment for proving
yeast dough.
yThis method provides a faster proof time than at room temperature.yTo prevent overproofing we recommend you check the dough every
30mins
Proving dough
1 Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap
and/or a clean damp cloth
2 Position the bowl in the center of the oven
3 Select Rapid Proof function
SELF CLEAN
this is not a cooking function
ySelf Clean takes care of the mess and grime that is traditionally
associated with oven cleaning.
yThere are two Self-Clean cycles available:
y Standard clean (which takes a minimum of 4 hours) for normal to
heavy cleaning
y Light clean (which takes a minimum of 3 hours) for lightly soiled
ovens
yAlways clean the inner door glass pane first.ySee ‘Using the Self Clean function’ for details.
19
COOKING CHARTS
yShelf positions are counted from the base up
(1 is the lowest, 7 is the highest). Position shelves before you turn the oven on.
yFor best results preheat the oven. yMulti shelf cooking may need the shelves rotating midway through cookingyOven accessories may temporarily deform slightly when they become hot. This is normal
and does not affect their function.

Ceramic glass cooktop
The cooktop is made from ceramic glass, a tough material that is not affected by
changes in temperature. If cared for, it will continue to function well and look attractive
for many years.
Before using your cooktop
Before using your cooktop, please:
y Read this user guide, taking special note of the ‘Safety and warnings’ section.y Turn the power to the cooker on at the wall.y Make sure all control dials are turned off.
Cooking zones
y Your cooktop has four cooking zones, two of which are dual-zone. The diameters of the
cooking zones are clearly marked.
y The cooking zones, become red when turned on full.y The hot surface indicator light will glow when a cooking zone is turned on.y Aluminium and copper cookware can leave a metallic residue on the cooktop. Clean this
off with ceramic glass cleaner after every use. If it is left, it becomes difficult to remove.
37
USING YOUR CERAMIC COOKTOP
Using the cooking zones
Using the single cooking zones
y To turn on, push in and turn the dial clockwise or counter-clockwise to a setting
between 12 (maximum) and 1 (minimum). Adjust the heat during cooking by turning the
dial in either direction between 12 and 1.
Using the dual cooking zones
y To turn on the inner zone (

y The heating elements will cycle on and off
2
to maintain your selected heat setting. This
is normal.
y It is safe to place hot cookware from the
oven, or another element, on the glass
surface when the surface is cool.
y Even after the elements are turned off,
the glass surface retains enough heat to
continue cooking. To avoid overcooking,
remove pans from hot elements when the
food is cooked.
y Avoid placing anything on a hot element
until it has cooled completely (its ‘Hot
surface’ indicator light has gone out).
y You will need to experiment with the
temperature settings to match your desired
cooking result. For delicate cooking tasks
requiring minimum heat, try turning the
control knob below the lowest (1) marking.
Cooking tips
y The higher settings are ideal for boiling,
searing or frying.
y For general cooking purposes, turn the
control knob to a high setting to begin
cooking and adjust as necessary. Once your
pan is hot or your food has come to the
boil, reduce the temperature to maintain a
steady heat and cook your food through.
y The following tables contain guidelines
to show recommended heat settings for
cooking different types of food.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT COOKWARE
y Use heavy-gauge, flat, smooth-based cookware that matches the diameter of the
cooking zone. This will provide good contact with the glass and help reduce cooking
times. Low heat or slow cooking is often due to incorrect cookware size.
y Cookware with a stainless steel sandwich base or enamelled cast iron will give you the
best results.
y Saucepans or heavy frying pans with jagged edges or a rough base will scratch the
glass.
y Always lift pans off the cooktop - do not slide, or they may scratch the glass.y Never use plastic or aluminium foil dishes on the cooktop. y Aluminium and copper-based cookware will leave metallic stains on the cooktop. To
prevent these building up, clean the cooktop after every use following the instructions
in ‘Care and cleaning’. If the metallic stains are allowed to burn onto the surface, they
may react with the glass and may no longer be removable. They don’t, however, affect
performance.
40
COOKING GUIDELINES
IMPORTANT!
y Never leave the appliance unattended when in use. Boilover causes smoking and
greasy spillovers that may ignite.
y Take care when deep-frying: oil or fat can overheat very quickly, particularly on a high
setting.
General cooking tips
y Using a lid will reduce cooking times through retaining the heat.y Minimise the amount of liquid or fat to reduce cooking times.y Start cooking on a high setting and reduce it when the food has come to the boil or
heated through.
y Even after a cooking zone has been turned off, its glass surface retains enough heat to
continue cooking. To avoid overcooking, remove pans from hot cooking zones when the
food is cooked.
Cooking rice, simmering
y Some tasks, including cooking rice by the absorption method, may require a setting
higher than the lowest setting to ensure the food is cooked properly in the time
recommended.
y Simmering occurs below boiling point, when bubbles are just rising occasionally to the
surface of the cooking liquid. It’s the key to delicious soups and tender stews because
the flavours develop without overcooking the food. Egg-based sauces are best kept
below boiling point throughout cooking, and flour-based sauces should also be gently
simmered after they have reached boiling point.
Using the SuperSimmer feature (some models only)
y The front right cooking zone on some models has a unique SuperSimmer feature. This
allows the cooking zone to be turned down to very low and even heat settings. These
are ideal for melting chocolate and butter, cooking rice and delicate sauces, simmering
soups and stews, and keeping cooked food hot.
y The high settings of the SuperSimmer cooking zone are just as powerful as those of the
other cooking zones, allowing food to be browned, seared, sautéed, or boiled before
simmering, all on the same cooking zones.
Searing steak
1 Stand the meat at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking.
2 Heat up a heavy-based frying pan.
3 Brush both sides of the steak with oil and season it to taste.
4 Lower the meat onto the hot pan.
5 Turn the steak only once during cooking. The exact cooking time will depend on the
thickness of the steak and how cooked you want it. Times vary between 2 to 8 minutes
per side. Press the steak to gauge how cooked it is: the firmer it feels, the more ‘well
done’ it will be.
6 Leave the steak to rest on a warm plate for a few minutes to allow it to relax and
become tender before serving.
41
USING THE WARMING DRAWER
Use the warming drawer to keep food warm after you have finished cooking and to
warm plates before serving. The warming drawer will keep hot cooked foods at serving
temperature.
y Allow time for the drawer to preheaty Place hot food in a heatproof pan or serving dish.y Take care when opening the drawer. Position your hand at the bottom of the drawer and
open slowly to allow hot air and steam to escape.
y Take care not to touch the inside surfaces of the drawer while it is hot.y When using the drawer to warm plates ensure the temperature is only set to LO. Ensure
plates are evenly spread out.
y Do not stack dishes or plates as this may result in uneven heating.
y
To use the warming drawer
1 Push in the warmer dial and turn
clockwise to Hi.
y While the drawer is on the indicator
will glow red
Warmer dial
y The temperature can be set anywhere between LO (minimum) and HI (maximum). y The warming drawer is fitted with an heating element in the top. y The maximum heat will differ depending on your electrical connection
(220W at 240V, 165W at 208V)
y See the below table for the temperature settings

2 When you have finished using the
drawer turn the dial back to 0 (OFF).
y The indicator will go out.
IMPORTANT!
y Do not use the drawer to re-heat food.y Do not place food in the drawer in unopened containers. Built up pressure could cause
the container to burst.
y Do not use plastic containers y Use dry potholders to transfer dishes to and from the drawer. Take care not to let
potholders touch the hot upper element.
y Do not store flammable items in the drawer.y Do not use the warmer drawer as a storage drawer.y Do not use aluminum foil to line the drawer.y Make sure the dial is always set to O (OFF) when running a self clean cycle and any
time when the drawer is not in use.
42
CARE AND CLEANING
DOSDON’TS
y Read these cleaning instructions and the
‘Safety and warnings’ section before you
start cleaning your range.
y Before cleaning or removing any part,
make sure that everything on the range
has been turned off.
y Unless suggested otherwise in the chart
following, allow any part to cool to a safe
temperature before cleaning. If you do
need to handle a warm or hot part, take
extreme care. Wear long protective mitts
to avoid burns from steam or hot surfaces.
y Try using any cleaner on a small area first,
to ensure it doesn’t stain.
y See the pages following this chart for
instructions on removing and replacing
different parts of the range for cleaning or
maintenance.
y To help you identify any parts, see
illustrations in section ‘Introduction’ and
after this cleaning chart.
y Ensure the anti-tip device is re-engaged if
you move the range for cleaning. Failure
to do this may result in the oven tipping,
and adults and children may be killed.
y To prevent soiling from becoming ‘baked
on’ and stubborn, we recommend
removing any easy-to-reach spills, food or
grease stains from the oven cavity enamel
after each use.
y Always clean the inner glass pane before
starting a Self Clean cycle. Failure to do
this will mean that residue will bake on
and be impossible to remove.
y Always remove oven shelves before
starting a Self Clean cycle.
y Do not use aerosol cleaners until
the range has completely cooled.
The propellant substance in these
cleaners could catch fire in the
presence of heat.
y Do not let soiling or grease
accumulate anywhere in or on the
range. This will make future cleaning
more difficult and may present a fire
hazard.
y Do not use any abrasive or harsh
cleaners, cloths, scouring pads or
steel wool. These will scratch your
range and damage its appearance.
y Do not use a steam cleaner to clean
any part of the range.
y Do not perform any cleaning
or maintenance on parts not
specifically named in the chart
below. If in doubt, contact Customer
Care.
y Only an authorized service
technician can take apart the door.
y Do not attempt to take the door
apart for cleaning. If the inner panes
of glass in the door become dirty,
please contact your Authorized
Repairer or Customer Care.

USING THE SELF CLEAN FUNCTION
Using Self Clean
Self Clean uses extremely high temperatures to break down and burn off grease and
grime. All that is left is a small amount of grey ash that you can easily wipe up.
There are two self clean cycles:
y Standard Clean 4 hours, for normal or heavy soilingy Light Clean 3 hours, for light or localized soiling
IMPORTANT!
y You must clean the inside glass door panel BEFORE starting a self-clean cycle. Failure
to do this may result in permanent staining or marking of the door glass.
See ‘Care and cleaning’ for our recommendations on how to do this.
y Do not use oven cleaners, any degreasing cleaners, or oven liners.y Remove all oven shelves, trays, bakeware and utensils from the oven before starting
a self clean cycle (except side racks). If left in the oven they will be permanently
damaged; items made from combustible material (eg wood, fabric, plastic) may even
catch fire.
y Do not use your oven to clean miscellaneous parts.y Make sure the room is well ventilated.y Before starting a Self Clean cycle, make sure you move any pet birds to another,
closed and well-ventilated room. Some pet birds are extremely sensitive to the fumes
given off during a Self Clean cycle, and may die if left in the same room as the oven
during such a cycle.
y During a Self Clean cycle, the oven reaches higher temperatures than it does for
cooking. Under such conditions, the surfaces may get hotter than usual and children
should be kept away.
y The oven door will be locked
during the Self Clean cycle.
y If there are cracks or flaws on
any of the oven door glass
panes, if the oven seal is
damaged or worn, or if the
door does not close properly,
do not start a Self Clean cycle.
Call your Authorized Repairer
or Customer Care.
Before you start
1 Remove all oven shelves and any other accessories, bakeware, and utensils.
Note: you do not need to remove the side racks.
2 Wipe up any spills, and along the inner edge of the oven surface around the seal. Failure
to do so may discolour the oven surface.
IMPORTANT!
Avoid cleaning the seal itself as this may cause damage.
3 Check the inner glass pane of the oven door. If it has soiling on it (eg stains from greasy
splatter), you will need to clean it manually before starting a Self Clean cycle.
For instructions, see ‘Care and cleaning’.
IMPORTANT!
y If soiling is left on the glass, it will become burnt on during the Self Clean cycle,
making it very difficult to remove.
4 Close the oven door firmly.
