The WH-10 is an optional hanging bracket for attaching the printer to a wall. This
manual describes the procedures and precautions for installing and using the WH-10.

Applicable Printer Models

This WH-10 can be used only with the products specified below. Please note that the use
of products other than those specified may result in improper installation and operation.

on the model.)

Precautions

❏ To prevent paper jams and to secure print density level, do not use 3-sheet roll

paper with the TM-U220 or the TM-U300.

❏ Static electricity may cause cut paper to adhere to the printer case.

(This static electricity will not affect the operation of the printer.)

any parts are missing or damaged, please contact your dealer for assistance.

Depending on the conditions during storage and shipping, some rust may form around
the edges of the wall-mount or brackets. This may be removed with sandpaper.

Installation

Before installation, be sure that the printer and all equipment connected to the printer is
turned off. Detach all cables from the body of the printer.

Installing the Wall-mount

CAUTION:

The weight of the TM-U300B, the heaviest among the printers that can be used wall­mounted, is approx. 2.6 kg. In order to insure that the wall-mount can properly
support the weight of the printer, please secure it with screws appropriate to the
type of wall the wall-mount is installed on. A screw with 4 mm diameter and length
of 12 mm or more is recommended. The thickness of the wall should be 10 m m or
more.

Be sure to fasten the wall-moun t securely to the wall with a screw in each of the ten
holes.

Before attaching the wall-mount, make sure
enough space remains around the printer.

Make sure that there is enough space for
opening the printer cover.

Attach the wall-mount to the wall in the
position illustrated to the right (with the area
marked A at the top), and fasten securely
with t en screws. These scre ws are not
included; please use screws appropriate to
the type of wall being used.

Affixing the Operation Panel Sheet

When you mount the printer on the wall, the
operation panel on the printer will be upside
down. Therefore, operation panel sheets in the
correct direction for wall mounting have been
enclosed.
For the TM-U300D and TM-U300B (see the
illustrations below to distinguish the panel sheet
between the printers.), the TM-T88II/TM-T88III/TM-T88IV, the TM-T90, the TM-L90,
the TM-U220, and the TM-U230, you need to affix the operation panel sheet.

1. Open the printer cover (not necessary for the TM-T90 or the TM-U220).

2. Align the FEED switch mark on the operation panel sheet with the FEED switch mark

on the printer operation panel and affix the operation panel sheet to the printer.

3. Close the printer cover.

Installing the Lock Lever (Only for the TM-U300B)

1. Open the printer cover.

2. Insert the lock lever in the hole in the metal fitting on the inside of the printer cover as
shown at the left in the illustration below.

3. Place the other end of the lock lever into the depression in the plastic part of the
printer cover, as shown at the right in the illustration below.

4. Push the lock lever in the direction indicated by the arrow in the right illustration
until it clicks into place.

5. Close the printer cover as described in step 2 in the using the lock lever section on
page 6.

Attaching the Roll-paper Stopper (Only for the TM-T88II/TM-T88III/TM­T88IV)

1. Cut off the roll-paper stopper.

2. Open the printer cover and attach the roll-paper stopper. You should align the two
tabs (projections) on the roll-paper stopper and press them into place.

Changing the Roll-paper Detector Position
(Only for the TM-T88II/TM-T88III/TM-T88IV and TM-T90)

1. Loosen the screw for the detector.

2. Push the lever on the detector until it touches the back of the hole.

3. Turn the knob toward you until the lever clicks into place in the other hole.

4. While settling the knob by pressing the knob toward you, secure the screw.

Changing the Roll-paper Near-end Detector Position and Paper Width
(Only for the TM-U220)

Two types of screws are used with the WH-10: 3×6 and 3×10. The longest screw (3×12)
will not be used.

1. Open the roll paper cover.
For a model that does not have a roll-paper near-end detector and does not need a
change in paper width, jump to step 7. For a model that does not have a roll-paper
near-end detector and needs a change in paper width, jump to step 3.

2. Loosen the detector adjustment screw a little bit by using a tool such as a coin and
then loosen the screw gently by hand as until it stops. It must not be removed
completely.

3. Remove the two screws of the roll paper guide.

For a model that does not have a roll-paper near-end detector , jump to step 6.
