Note: Keep the unit in Manual mode during all steps of attaching the barrel.

• With the dispenser in Manual mode (hand button lit), hold the cable assembly next to the syringe barrel.

• Advance the plunger past the piston by pressing and holding the Forward button.

Flexible Cable Assembly

• With a tip cap attached to the syringe barrel, insert the plunger into the
barrel, pressing the plunger into the piston. This will secure the piston on
the plunger.

• Verify that the piston is secured on the plunger by holding the handpiece
vertically. If the syringe barrel falls off the plunger, repeat Step 2.

• When the piston is secured on the plunger make sure
you are still in Manual mode (hand button lit). Start to
retract the syringe barrel back to the adapter by
pressing and holding the Pullback button.

Note: Go slowly — if you retract the barrel too far,
the plunger will disengage from the piston, and you
will need to start over at Step 1.

• Continue retracting the barrel until only a small gap
remains between the barrel and the adapter.

• When the barrel has been retracted, slide the barrel
retainer over the syringe barrel and thread the
retainer one full turn only onto the adapter.

• Replace the tip cap with the appropriate dispense tip.
Fully tighten the barrel retainer onto the adapter.

• As you tighten the barrel onto the adapter, fluid
should start to flow into the dispense tip. Depending
on the gap left between the barrel and adapter in
Step 3, fluid may partially fill the tip or start to purge
out of the tip.

• If the fluid only partially filled the tip, make sure the
dispenser is in Manual mode (hand button lit) and
press and hold the foot pedal to finish purging the tip.

• Once the tip is completely purged you are ready to
dispense.
