Model: S-101, S-301
Subject: Addition of the Screen Saver function malfunctions of the indication
of the Dolby Headphones and a pop noise upon playback of SACD.
Symptom: 1) Addition of Screen Saver to the function of the iPod and USB
player.
2) The DDH (custom mark) on the FL Display is not turned off upon setting the bypass mode of the Dolby Headphones.
3) The unit generates pop noise when the PAUSE is switched to PLAY, after setting the SACD to MULTI. (S-301 only)
Solution:
MODIFICATION: (Upon customer claim) Record the files separately and individually onto four blank CD-R discs together with the dummy file, and update the System and ESS Firmware of the unit upon claim and/or refurbishment.

Caution:
• When recording the file(s) on a blank CD-R, the format shall be "ISO9660" and the session shall be "CLOSE".
• When recording the program file on the CD-R, please record it at the 4-times speed of the normal speed.
• When the 4-times speed is not available, please record it at the minimum speed that is available in your machine.
• If the file was recorded at a high speed, such as 32 or 48 times speed of the normal speed, the upgrading may fail due to the data incorrectly recorded on the CD-R.
Update Procedure:
1) Update of the System Firmware of models S-101 and S-301: The program files to be used for update the System Firmware.
(1) Turn the Power of the unit on, and open the Disc Tray. (2) Place the Disc for updating the System Firmware on the Tray and close the Tray. (3) The update starts automatically, and the Tray opens automatically after completion of the update. Take out the Disc from the Tray. (4) In the above status, the unit does not accept any operation of buttons. Therefore, unplug the AC Cord from the AC outlet once and initialize the unit.
Note: During the update operation, please do not turn the Power Supply off or
switch functions on the unit by any means.
