Introduction This Operator’s Manual describes how to use the cut device for fanfold forms. This

manual covers only the modifications or extensions as required in addition to the
standard Quick Start Guide and the User Guide. These are:

 Preparing the printer
 Installing the cut device
 Control panel operation
 MTPL Sequence for controlling the cut device
 Technical data
 Paper specifications

The generally applicable functions of your printer are described in detail in the
standard Quick Start Guide and the User Guide. These manuals tell you how to

 unpack the printer
 insert the interface module
 insert the ribbon cassette
 connect the printer to the power outlet
 connect the printer to the computer
 load paper into the first tractor or second tractor
 use the printer Setup Menu
 find out which emulations and character sets are available
 find out what accessories are available

Your printer and its control panel may have a different appearance than shown in
this manual. However, the procedures described are the same.

` Paper types Your printer can use both fanfold forms and single sheets. The specific paper type

can be processed either via the standard paper sources (front tractor 1, optional rear
tractor for the 2Tmodel, and manual sheet feeder slot) or via an optional tractor and
an optional automatic single sheet feeder.

However, if the cut device is installed, it is not possible to use the optional single
sheet feeder.

For information regarding the printable form length and width as well as further
specifications please refer to the section Technical Data and Paper Specifications
at the end of this manual and in the Paper specifications section in the User Guide.

` Safety notes Before you use the cut device make sure you read the following safety notes:

If you have to remove any short pieces of paper remaining in the device, turn off
the printer first.

 Do not insert any unsuitable materials into the device openings as this may dam-

age the mechanical system.

 Operation is only permitted with the cut device lowered in the correct position.

` Before beginning the

installation procedure

Tractor 1

5 Sleeves

In order to use the automatic cut device in an optimum way with your printer, it is
necessary to limit the left-hand printing position of the paper. One or more of the
8 sleeves supplied must be mounted on the left-hand side of the front round tractor
shaft (as viewed from the front side of the printer) depending on the paper path
used (tractor 1, optional tractor 2 or, on the 2T model, the rear tractor). This pre­vents the left-hand tractor from sliding too far to the left.

If the left-hand tractor is set too far to the left, a paper jam may occur when using
the automatic cut device.

Mount 5 sleeves on the front tractor shaft and slide it com­pletely to the left.

Fanfold forms The descriptions in the following sections require that your printer is already

loaded with fan-fold forms.
If you have not yet loaded the fanfold paper, proceed as follows:

 For tractor 1 and tractor 2 (option), as described in the User Guide in the

Loading fanfold paper section,

 for the rear tractor (2T model only), as described in the User Guide in the

Loading paper into the rear tractor section.

Return the loaded fanfold paper to the parked position. To do this, proceed as
follows:

1. Tear any protruding paper off at the perforation. To do this use the printer’s

tear edge.

2. Set the printer to offline mode if necessary, and press the Park key.

` Installing the cut device When the fanfold paper is in the park position you can install the cut device. Pro-

ceed as follows:

Now place the cover supplied on the printer. This cover
replaces the front cover previously removed and serves as a
support for the feed mechanism. Position this cover at an





angle of 45 degrees on top of the printer as shown in the
figure.





First place the recess on the left side of the cover in the
mounting pin on the printer (n). Then insert the holder on
the right side (o) into the pin on the printer and turn the
cover down.

Fold the back cover up (n) and remove it from the top (o).

Flip the cover up in order to be able to easily install the cut
device.

Hold the cut device vertically and turn the hinges at the side
of the device down to a horizontal position.



Now stand in front of the printer and
insert the device into your printer
from the top as shown in the
diagram.

At the same time press in the safety
latches (n) on the right and left.
Make sure that the two guides at the
sides of the cut device fit smoothly
into the two guide tracks on the
inside of the printer (the diagram
shows the right guide track o). Push
down the cut device and let go of the
latches.

The cut device is now fixed in place.





Insert the connector (n) at the side

Now turn the cut device all the way down.
Place the two paper supports onto the track at the front of the

device. From the side attach the supports one after another to
the track. Adjust the supports in such a way that the paper is
positioned perfectly.

Individual sheets of e.g. multi-part forms (if crimped – punch printing on edge of
sheet) can be prevented from blocking the printer, by reducing the distance
between the paper guides.

Control panel operation

It depends on the printer model, wether it supports the Single Sheet feature or not.

The display alternates between 2 notices and indicates the saved and active sheet
feeder (e.g.single sheet).

The alternating display reminds you that paper can be loaded via this sheet feeder.

However, since you want to use fanfold paper press the Setup button…

…and then the parameter button for Paperway (3).
Using the < (2) or > (3) buttons select the tractor in which the fanfold paperis lo-

cated (in our example in tractor 1).

Now confirm the paper path desired (in our example tractor 1) by pressing the
Set (1) button.

An acoustic signal is produced in response and the set parameter is marked with
an asterisk (*) in the display.

The printer then switches back to the Setup menu. Press the Setup button again.
Now the printer is in Offline Mode.
Next transport the fanfold paper to the print position by pressing the Load (4)

button.
If there is any print data waiting at the interface and if the “active” paper is still in

park position, this is automatically transported to the current print position and the
printer is ready to print.

When the paper path is changed, the fanfold paper remains in the deactivated trac­tor. The printer automatically returns this to the park position. Note that the set­tings for the“Tractor” paper source in the “Paper” parameter group can be
defined separately for each tractor. Settings:
– Form length
– Setting the first print line
– Print head clearance setting (only printers with AGA = Off)
– Cut Position

If there should be any problems with paper feeding or paper transport, proceed as
described in the User Guide in the Troubleshooting section.

` Adjusting the cut position The cut device will always cut the fanfold paper at the same set position. As a rule

this position should be just below the perforation of the fanfold paper.

Do not cut the paper above the perforation as the optimal paper flow may be
adversely affected by the paper remaining above the perforation.

Before setting the cut position, fanfold paper must be loaded and the printer set to
Online.

Proceed as follows to set the cut position:

Press the Setup button…

…and then choose the parameter Adjust (2).

Now press the Cut (4) button.
The printer switches to the precise cut position adjustment mode.

Please note that an automatical form feed is performed before each adjusting cut.

When the < (2) or > (3) buttons are pressed briefly, the paper is either moved for­ward or backward. The individual values are displayed in increments of 1/72 of an
inch. The possible adjustment range is from -20/72" to +20/72".

Press the < (2) or > (3) buttons until the cutting position is just below the perfo­ration (in our example we chose a negative value; this means that the cutting line
is being repositioned to be higher). After completing the adjustment save your set­tings by pressing the Set (1) button.The printer now performs a form feed and cuts
the paper at the position you have adjustet.

Then leave the selection menu by pressing the Setup button.

Carry out a few trial cuts. If you’re not satisfied readjust the cut position again.
Do not cut the paper above the perforation as the optimal paper flow may be ad­versely affected by the paper remaining above the perforation.

Now the cut position has been set and your printer will always cut fanfold paper at
the set position.

The printer is Online again and can receive computer data.

When the printer is initialised (e.g. when turning it on), the cut device is detected.
The standard printer’s Tear function is replaced by the Cut function. The “Tear”
and “Cut”functions are identical. However, the cut device will always cut when
the cut position is reached. All the Escape sequences and menu settings connected
with the “Tear”function apply to the “Cut” function when the cut device installed
(see also Additional menu parameters in this manual).

Should you have problems installing or operating the automatic cut device, your
dealer will gladly help you.

` Synchronizing the cut

position when using
different paper ways

There are two different ways to synchronize the cut position: via the Sync.Label
parameter or via the AED parameter. Which function is available depends on your
printer model.

Sync.Label parameter If you use different paper ways it is possible that minor divergences of the adjusted

cut position occur when switching between the paper ways. You can eliminate
these divergences from the adjusted cut position by means of the parameter
Sync.Lab in the advanced menu of the printer. In this case you have to use paper
with a black label on the back. This label is scanned after switching on the printer,
when changing paper and loading paper.

This function is not available on some printer models.

See section Technical data and Paper specifications for details about the position,
the dimensions and the density of the label.

To activate the parameter Sync.Lab, which is switched off by default, proceed as
follows:

First set to printer to advanced menu mode by pressing the Online key while
switching on the printer.

The display shows Test mode for about 1 second and then ASCII 80 ASCII 136.

Change to the parameter group Paphand by pressing the Next key (4) three times.

Press the Next key (4) several times until the Sync.Lab parameter appears in the
display.

Press the Sync.Lab key (3) .

Press the < (2) or > (3) key to switch the parameter to On.
Confirm the setting by pressing the Set key (1).

If you use paper without the required label on the back after activating the param­eter Sync.Label, an error message Load error appears in the display, printing is
not possible.

If the printer cannot detect an existing label on the back of the paper, the param­eter Pap.back can in test mode be set from “normal” to “dark”. You will find a
description of this parameter in the User Guide of your printer on the online
CD-ROM.

You must deactivate this parameter before removing the cut device. It only appears
in the advanced menu when the cut device is installed and therefore cannot be
switched off after removing the cut device, but remains active.

AED parameter If you use different paper ways it is possible that minor divergences of the adjusted

cut position occur when switching between the paper ways. You can eliminate
these divergences from the adjusted cut position by means of the parameter AED
in the advanced menu of the printer.

This function is not available on some printer models.

To synchronize the paper after loading the sensor checks the left transport hole of
the loaded paper. If the printer by any reason cannot detect this hole, the AED
function is being disabled and “AED Error” is displayed. The printer will go
Offline, but can be set to Online again by pressing the Online key. As soon as a
new paper is loaded (e.g. by switching the paper way, by paper end etc.) the cut
edge will be re-detected.

To activate the parameter AED, which is switched off by default, proceed as fol­lows:

First set to printer to advanced menu mode by pressing the Online key while
switching on the printer.

The display shows Test mode for about 1 second and then ASCII 80 ASCII 136.
Press the Next key (4) several times until the AED parameter appears in the dis-

play.

Einleitung Diese Bedienungsanleitung beschreibt die Handhabung der Schneideeinrichtung

für Endlospapier. In diesem Handbuch werden nur Änderungen oder Erweiterun­gen zur Kurzanleitung und dem Benutzerhandbuch beschrieben. Das sind:

 Drucker vorbereiten
 Aufsetzen der Vorrichtung auf den Drucker
 Bedienfeld und Handhabung
 MTPL-Sequenz für die Steuerung der Schneideeinrichtung
 Technische Daten
 Papierspezifikationen

Die allgemeingültigen Funktionen Ihres Druckers sind in der Kurzanleitung und
im Benutzerhandbuch ausführlich beschrieben. Lesen Sie dort u.a. nach, wie Sie

 den Drucker auspacken
 das Schnittstellenmodul einsetzen
 das Farbband einsetzen
 den Drucker an das Stromnetz anschließen
 den Drucker an den Computer anschließen
 Papier in den Traktor einlegen
 mit dem Menü des Druckers arbeiten

Das Aussehen Ihres Druckers und seines Bedienfelds kann von der Darstellung in
dieser Bedienungsanleitung abweichen. Das beschriebene Vorgehen bleibt jedoch
das gleiche.

` Papierarten Ihr Drucker ist für den Betrieb mit Endlos- und Einzelblattpapier ausgelegt. Die

jeweilige Papierart kann entweder über die standardmäßigen Papierwege
(Traktor 1 vorne, beim 2T-Modell zusätzlich der hintere Traktor, und manuelle
Einzelblattzuführung) oder über einen optionalen Traktor und eine optionale auto­matische Einzelblattzuführung verarbeitet werden.

Wird die Schneideeinrichtung installiert, ist die Zuführung von Einzelblättern über
diese optionale Einzelblattzuführung jedoch nicht möglich.

Angaben über die bedruckbare Länge und Breite der Formulare sowie weitere Spe­zifikationen finden Sie unter Technische Daten und Papierspezifikationen am
Ende dieses Handbuches und im Abschnitt Papierspezifikationen des Benutzer-
handbuchs.

` Sicherheitshinweise Bevor Sie mit der Schneideeinrichtung arbeiten, lesen Sie bitte die folgenden Si-

cherheitshinweise:

Wenn Sie kurze Papierreste aus der Vorrichtung entfernen müssen, schalten Sie
vorher den Drucker aus.

 Stecken Sie keine ungeeigneten Materialien in die Öffnungen der Vorrichtung.

Die Mechanik könnte beschädigt werden.

 Der Betrieb ist nur mit heruntergeklappter Schneidevorrichtung gestattet.
 Beachten Sie bitte auch die sicherheitsrelevanten Hinweise in der Standard-

bedienungsanleitung.

Installation beginnen

Traktor 1

Um die automatische Schneidevorrichtung optimal zusammen mit Ihrem Drucker
betreiben zu können, ist es erforderlich, die linke Druckposition des Papieres zu
begrenzen. Je nach Papierweg (Traktor 1, optionaler Traktor 2 oder beim 2T-Mo­dell der hintere Traktor) müssen eine oder mehrere der mitgelieferten 8 Steckhül­sen auf die (von der Druckervorderseite aus betrachtet) linke Seite der vorderen,
runden Traktorachse aufgesteckt werden. So wird verhindert, dass der linke Trak­tor zu weit nach links verschoben werden kann.

Wird der linke Traktor zu weit nach links gestellt, kann es während des Betriebs
der automatischen Schneidevorrichtung zu Papierstau kommen.

Endlospapier In den Abschnitten auf den folgenden Seiten wird davon ausgegangen, dass in Ih-

rem Drucker bereits Endlospapier eingelegt ist.
Falls Sie noch kein Endlospapier eingelegt haben, führen Sie die folgenden Ar-

beitsschritte aus:

 für Traktor 1 und Traktor 2 (Option), wie sie im Benutzerhandbuch im Ab-

schnitt Endlospapier einlegen beschrieben sind,

 für den hinteren Traktor (nur bei 2T-Modell), wie Sie im Benutzerhandbuch

im Abschnitt Papier in den hinteren Traktor einlegen beschrieben sind.

Fahren Sie nun das eingelegte Endlospapier in die Parkposition zurück. Gehen Sie
dazu wie folgt vor:

1. Reißen Sie überstehendes Endl ospapi er an der Perforation ab. Benutzen Sie

dazu die Abreißkante des Druckers.

2. Setzen Sie, wenn nötig, den Drucker in den Offline-Modus und drücken Sie

die Taste Park.

Wenn sich das Endlospapier in Parkstellung befindet, können Sie die Schneideein­richtung auf Ihren Drucker aufsetzen. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor:

Schalten Sie zuerst den Drucker aus!

Entfernen Sie an Ihrem Drucker zuerst das Schalldämm­element*, indem Sie es in einem 45-Grad-Winkel nach oben
stellen und dann abheben (

Anschließend entfernen Sie die vordere Abdeckung (

A).

Stellen Sie hierzu die Abdeckung ebenfalls in einem 45­Grad-Winkel nach oben. Ziehen Sie dann die Abdeckung
erst an ihrer rechten Seite ein wenig nach oben.
Anschließend können Sie sie auch an ihrer linken Seite durch
leichten Druck nach rechts herausziehen.

Setzen Sie nun die mitgelieferte Abdeckung in den Drucker
ein. Diese Abdeckung ersetzt die zuvor abgenommene vor­dere Abdeckung und dient zur Auflage der Fördermechanik.





Stellen Sie diese Abdeckung in einem 45-Grad-Winkel von
oben auf den Drucker an wie im Bild gezeigt.

Führen Sie dann zuerst die Lochaussparung an der linken
Seite der Abdeckung in den Halterungszapfen am Drucker
(n). Danach können Sie die Halterung auch an ihrer rechten
Seite (o) in den Zapfen am Drucker eindrücken und
anschließend nach unten klappen.

Klappen Sie die hintere Abdeckung senkrecht nach oben (n)



und nehmen Sie sie nach oben ab (o).



Klappen Sie die Abdeckung nach oben, um die Schneideein­richtung problemlos einsetzen zu können.

Halten Sie die Schneideeinrichtung senkrecht und drehen Sie
die Bügel an den Seiten der Vorrichtung nach unten in
waagerechte Position.



Stellen Sie sich vor den Drucker und
setzen Sie die Vorrichtung von oben
in den Drucker ein wie auf dem Bild
gezeigt.

Drücken Sie dabei die Verriegelun­gen (n) rechts und links nach
innen.Beachten Sie, dass die beiden
Gleitschienen an den Seiten der
Schneideeinrichtung exakt in die
beiden seitlichen Führungen im
Druckerinneren gesteckt werden (im
Bildausschnitt ist die rechte Füh­rung gezeigt o). Drücken Sie die
Schneideeinrichtung nach unten und
entlasten Sie die Verriegelungen.

Stecken Sie Stecker (n) an der Seite

Nase des Steckers mit der Ausspa­rung der Buchse übereinstimmt.
Verbinden Sie dann das Erdungska­bel (p) mit der Rahmenerde (q).

Klappen Sie die Schneideeinrichtung nach unten, bis sie auf­liegt.

Setzen Sie die 2 Papierstützen auf die vordere Schiene der
Vorrichtung auf. Stecken Sie die Stützen nacheinander fest
von der Seite her auf die Schiene. Richten Sie die Stützen so
aus, dass das Papier optimal aufliegen kann.

Das Verhaken einzelner Blätter bei einer eventuell vorhandenen Krimpung
(= Druckstanzungen am Blattrand), z.B. bei Mehrfachsätzen kann verhindert wer­den, wenn der Abstand der Papierstützen zueinander verringert wird.

Bedienfeld und Handhabung

Es hängt vom Druckermodell ab, ob es die Einzelblatt-Funktion unterstützt oder
nicht.

Das Display wechselt zwischen zwei Anzeigen und meldet den zuletzt abgespei­cherten und aktiven Einzugsschacht (z.B. Einzelblatt).

Durch das Wechseln der Anzeigen werden Sie darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass
Papier mit diesem Einzugsschacht zugeführt werden kann:

Da Sie jedoch mit Endlospapier arbeiten wollen, drücken Sie die Funktionstaste
Setup…

…und dann die Taste für den Parameter Pap.Weg (3).
Wählen Sie über die Tasten < (2) oder > (3) den Traktor, in dem sich das Endlos-

papier befindet (in unserem Beispiel den 1. Traktor).

Bestätigen Sie nun den gewünschten Papierweg (in unserem Beispiel Traktor 1)
durch Drücken der Taste Setze (1).

Als Rückmeldung wird ein akustisches Signal erzeugt und im Display erscheint
hinter der neu gewählten Einstellung ein Stern.

Der Drucker wechselt anschließend zurück in das Setup-Menü. Drücken Sie ab­schließend wieder die Funktionstaste Setup.

Der Drucker befindet sich jetzt im Offline-Zustand.
Transportieren Sie nun das Endlospapier durch Betätigen der Taste Load (4) in

Druckposition.
Liegen Druckdaten an der Schnittstelle an und befindet sich das ,,aktive“ Papier

noch in Parkposition, wird es automatisch auf die aktuelle Druckposition eingezo­gen und der Drucker ist nun druckbereit.

Das Endlospapier kann beim Umschalten des Papierweges im jeweils nicht akti­ven Schubtraktor verbleiben. Der Drucker fährt es automatisch in Parkposition.
Beachten Sie, dass die Einstellungen des Papierweges ,,Traktor“ in der Parame­tergruppe ,,Papier“ für alle Traktoren getrennt eingestellt werden können.
Einstellungen:
– Formularlänge
– Einstellung der ersten Druckzeile
– Kopfabstandseinstellung (nur Drucker mit AGA = Aus)
– Abschneideposition

` Justieren der

Abschneideposition

Die Schneideeinrichtung wird das Endlospapier immer an einer von Ihnen einma­lig festgelegten Position abschneiden. In der Regel sollte diese Position knapp un­terhalb der Perforation der Endlospapierbahn liegen.

Vermeiden Sie das Schneiden oberhalb der Perforation, da durch Papierüberstän­de an der Perforation der optimale Papierfluß beeinträchtigt werden kann.

Bevor Sie die Schneideposition fixieren, muss Endlospapier geladen sein und der
Drucker sich im Online-Zustand befinden.

Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um die Schneideposition zu fixieren:

Drücken Sie die Funktionstaste Setup…

…und wählen Sie anschließend den Parameter Adjust (2).

Drücken Sie nun die Taste für den Parameter Cut (4).
Der Drucker wechselt nun in den Modus zur Feinjustierung der Abschneide-

position über.
Beachten Sie, dass vor dem Justageschnitt immer ein automatischer Formular-

vorschub ausgeführt wird.

Wenn Sie die Tasten < (2) oder > (3) kurz drücken, wird Ihr Endlosformular ent­weder ein Stück vorgeschoben oder zurückgezogen. Die einzelnenWerte werden
Ihnen dabei in 1/72-Zoll-Schritten angezeigt. Der mögliche Einstellbereich reicht
von -20/72" bis +20/72".

Betätigen Sie die Tasten < (2) oder > (3) solange, bis die Schneideposition knapp
unterhalb der Perforation liegt (für unser Beispiel haben wir einen negativen Wert
gewählt. Das entspricht einer Verlegung der Schnittkante nach oben). Nach erfolg­ter Justierung speichern Sie Ihre Einstellung durch Drücken der Taste Setze (1) ab.
Der Drucker führt nun einen Formularvorschub aus und schneidet an der von
Ihnen eingestellten Position.

Verlassen Sie anschließend das Menü zur Justierung durch Drücken derFunktions­taste Setup.

Machen Sie einige Probeschnitte. Ist das Ergebnis noch nicht zufriedenstellend,
wiederholen Sie die Einstellprozedur. Vermeiden Sie das Schneiden oberhalb der
Perforation, da durch Papierüberstände an der Perforation der optimale Papier­fluß beeinträchtigt werden kann.

Damit ist die Justierung der Abschneideposition abgeschlossen und Ihr Drucker
wird in Zukunft das Endlospapier immer an der von Ihnen soeben gewählten Po­sition abschneiden.

Der Drucker ist jetzt wieder betriebsbereit und kann die von Ihrem Rechner gesen­deten Daten empfangen.

Das Vorhandensein der Abschneideeinrichtung wird beim Initialisieren (z.B. Ein­schalten) des Druckers erkannt. Die Tear-Funktion (Abreiß-Funktion) des Stan­darddruckers wird durch die Cut-Funktion (Abschneidefunktion) ersetzt. Die
Funktionen,,Tear“ und ,,Cut“ sind identisch. Allerdings wird bei aufgesetzter
Schneideeinrichtung bei Erreichen der Schneideposition immer geschnitten, vor­ausgesetzt diese Funktion ist aktiviert. Alle Escape-Sequenzen und Menüeinstel­lungen, die sich auf die Funktion,,Tear“ beziehen, gelten bei installierter
Schneideeinrichtung für die Funktion „Cut“ (beachten Sie bitte den Abschnitt Zu-
sätzliche Menüparameter in diesem Handbuch).

Sollten Sie Probleme bei der Installation oder Bedienung der automatischen
Schneideeinrichtung haben, ist Ihnen sicher Ihr Händler behilflich.

` Abschneideposition bei

wechselnden Papierwegen
synchronisieren

Es gibt zwei verschiedene Arten, die Schneideposition zu synchronisieren: über
den Parameter Sync.Label oder über den Parameter AED. Welche Funktion zur
Verfügung steht, hängt von Ihrem Druckermodell ab.

Parameter Sync.Label Wenn Sie unterschiedliche Papierwege verwenden ist es möglich, dass beim Um-

schalten zwischen den Papierwegen geringfügige Abweichungen von der einge­stellten Abschneideposition auftreten. Diese Abweichungen können mit Hilfe des
Parameters Sync.Lab im Erweiterten Menü des Druckers beseitigt werden. Dazu
müssen Sie jedoch Papier verwenden, das auf der Rückseite mit einem schwarzen
Markierungsbalken (Label) versehen ist. Diese Markierung wird nach dem Ein­schalten, bei Papierwechsel und nach dem Laden von Papier abgefragt.

Diese Funktion ist bei einigen Druckermodellen nicht vorhanden.

Wenn Sie nach der Aktivierung des Parameters Sync.Label Papier ohne die erfor­derliche Markierung auf der Rückseite verwenden, erscheint die Fehlermeldung
Ladefehler im Display, es kann nicht gedruckt werden.

Wenn der Drucker eine vorhandene Markierung auf der Papierrückseite nicht er­kennt, kann der Parameter Pap.art im Testmodus von der Einstellung „normal“
auf „dunkel“ gestellt werden. Eine Beschreibung dieses Parameters finden Sie im
Benutzerhandbuch Ihres Druckers auf der Online-CD-ROM.

Deaktivieren Sie diesen Parameter unbedingt, bevor Sie die Schneideeinrichtung

Parameter AED Wenn Sie unterschiedliche Papierwege verwenden ist es möglich, dass beim Um-

schalten zwischen den Papierwegen geringfügige Abweichungen von der einge­stellten Abschneideposition auftreten. Diese Abweichungen können mit Hilfe des
Parameters AED im Erweiterten Menü des Druckers beseitigt werden.

Diese Funktion ist bei einigen Druckermodellen nicht vorhanden.

Nach dem Laden prüft ein Sensor das linke Transportloch des Papiers. Kann der
Drucker dieses Loch aus irgendeinem Grund nicht erkennen, wird die AED -Funk-
tion deaktiviert und in der Anzeige erscheint „AED Error“. Der Drucker geht in
den Offline-Modus, kann jedoch durch Drücken der Online-Taste wieder in den
Online-Modus gesetzt werden. Sobald neues Papier geladen wird (z.B. durch Än­dern des Papierwegs, durch Papierende usw.) wird die Schneidekante wieder er­kannt.

` Setup-Menü Die Abschneideeinrichtung wird automatisch erkannt. Mit gesteckter Option er-

scheint im Setup-Menü ein zusätzlicher Parameter in der Parametergruppe Auto

Wartung Durch das Schneiden des Papiers können sich Papierreste unterhalb der Schneide-

einrichtung ablagern. Entfernen Sie diesen Schnittabfall in regelmäßigen
Abständen.

Klappen Sie hierzu die Schneideeinrichtung nach oben und

Introduction Ce mode d’emploi décrit le maniement du couteau pour la coupe de papier en con-

tinu. Ce manuel décrit uniquement les modifications ou les suppléments apportés
au Guide de démarrage rapide standard et au Guide d’utilisateur:

 préparer l’imprimante
 la pose du couteau sur l’imprimante
 le panneau de commande et son maniement
 la séquence MTPL pour contrôler le couteau
 les spécifications générales
 les spécifications du papier

Les fonctions généralement valables de votre imprimante sont décrites en détail
dans le Guide de démarrage rapide standard et dans le Guide d’utilisateur. Vous
y lisez comment:

 déballer l’imprimante
 insérer le module d’interface
 poser le ruban
 connecter l’imprimante au réseau secteur

` Types de papier Votre imprimante est équipée pour travailler avec du papier en continu et des

feuilles simples. Le type de papier peut être traité soit avec les chemins de papier
standard (tracteur 1 avant, tracteur arrière supplémentaire pour le modèle 2T, ali­mentation manuelle feuilles simples) soit avec un tracteur en option et une alimen­tation automatique feuilles simples en option.

Si le couteau est installé, les feuilles simples ne peuvent pas être alimentées par
l’alimentation feuilles simples en option.

Vous trouvez, à la fin de ce manuel et dans le paragraphe Spécifications du papier
dans le Guide d’utilisateur, sous le titre Spécifications générales et Spécifications
du papier, des données concernant la longueur imprimable et la largeur du formu­laire, ainsi que des spécifications supplémentaires.

` Conseils de sécurite Avant de commencer à travailler avec le couteau, veuillez lire les conseils de sé-

curité suivants:

Débranchez l’imprimante avant d’enlever des petits morceaux de papier restant
dans le couteau.

 N’introduisez pas de matéraux impropres dans les ouvertures du couteau. Vous

pourriez détériorer la mécanique.

 Le fonctionnement n’est autorisé que lorsque le couteau est rabattu.
 Veuillez respecter également les consignes importantes pour la sécurité dans le

guide d’utilisation standard.

` Avant de commencer Afin d’assurer le fonctionnement optimal du coupe-papier automatique avec votre

imprimante, il est nécessaire de limiter la position d’impression gauche du papier.
En fonction du chemin de papier (tracteur 1, tracteur optionnel 2 ou tracteur AR
sur le modèle 2T), un ou plusieurs des 8 manchons enfichables fournis doivent être
posés à gauche (vu de la face de l’imprimante) sur l’axe AV rond du tracteur, ainsi
interdisant que le tracteur gauche puisse être déplacé trop loin vers la gauche.

Papier en continu Dans nos explications suivantes, nous supposons que du papier en continu se

trouve déjà dans l’imprimante.
Dans le cas où il n’y aurait pas de papier en continu dans l’imprimante, veuillez

l’introduire en procédant de la façon suivante:

 Pour le tracteur 1 et le tracteur 2 (option) comme décrit dans le Guide d’uti-

lisateur au paragraphe Chargement du papier en continu.

 Pour le tracteur arrière (uniquement pour le modèle 2T) comme décrit dans

le Guide d’utilisateur au paragraphe Introduction du papier dans le tracteur
arrière.

A présent, ramenez le papier en continu en position d’attente en procédant de la
façon suivante:

1. Découpez le papier en continu restant à la perforation. Pour cela, utilisez le

bord de découpage de l’imprimante.

2. Si nécessaire, mettez l’imprimante en mode Offline et appuyez sur la touche

Park.

` Pose du couteau Dès que le papier en continu se trouve en position d’attente, vous pouvez commen-

cer à poser le couteau sur l’imprimante. Procédez de la façon suivante:

Installez maintenant sur l’imprimante le couvercle qui vous
a été livré. Ce capot remplace le capot avant précédemment
enlevé et sert de support au mécanisme d’entraîment. Posi-





tionnez ce capot sur l’imprimante sous un angle de 45 degrés
vers le haut, comme indiqué sur le schéma.

Engagez tout d’abord l’encoche du côté gauche du couvercle
sur le tenon de l’imprimante (n). Vous pouvez après mettre
en place également sur son tenon l’encoche du côté droit (o)
et l’enclipser ensuite vers le bas.

Relevez le capot arrière (n) à la verticale et retirez-le (o).





Relevez le couvercle vers le haut afin de pouvoir positionner

Placez-vous devant l’imprimante et
posez l’appareil sur l’imprimante
comme le montre le croquis.

Appuyez sur les verrouillages (n) à
droite et à gauche et enfoncez-les
vers l’intérieur. Veillez à ce que les
deux rails placés sur les côtés de
l’appareil soient bien enfoncés dans
les guides latéraux de l’imprimante
(le guide droit est montré sur le cro­quis o). Pressez le dispositif cou­teau vers le bas et relachez les
verrouillages.

Faites basculer l’appareil vers le bas.
Placez les deux porte-papier l’un après l’autre sur le rail

avant de l’appareil, enfoncez-les en partant du côté. Ajustez
les porte-papier de façon que le maintien du papier soit opti­mal.

Le blocage d’une feuille, en particulier de celle présentant des “griffes de chat”
(griffage aux bords de la feuille maintenant ensemble les différentes copies, par
exemple dans les liasses), peut être évité en réduisant l’intervalle entre les guide­papier.

Panneau de commande et maniement

Il est fonction du modèle d’imprimante selon que celui-ci supporte ou non la pro­priété «Feuille simple».

L’affichage clignote entre deux messages et indique le dernier bac d’alimentation
papier sélectionné et actif (par exemple “feuilles simples”).

Le clignotement de l’affichage vous rapelle par quel bac le papier peut être
introduit:

Si vous voulez travailler avec papier en continu appuyez sur la touche de fonction
Setup…

Confirmez maintenant le choix du bac d’alimentation (dans notre exemple le trac­teur 1) en appuyant sur la touche Valid (1).

Un signal sonore retentit et à l’affichage un astérisque apparaît derrière le nouveau
réglage choisi.

L’imprimante retourne ensuite au menu Setup. Réappuyez alors sur la touche de
fonction Setup.

L’imprimante se trouve maintenant hors ligne (Offline).
Il s’agit maintenant de transporter le papier en continu sur la position d’impression

en appuyant sur la touche Load (4).
Si l’interface contient des données d’impression et si le papier “actif” se trouve en-

core en position d’attente, il sera amené automatiquement sur la position d’impres­sion actuelle, l’imprimante est alors prête à fonctionner.

Le papier en continu ne peut pas rester dans le tracteur inactif quand vous changez
de chemin de papier. L’imprimante le met automatiquement en position d’attente.
Veillez à ce que les réglages du chemin de papier “Tracteur” dans le groupe de
paramètres “Papier” puissent être faits séparément pour tous les tracteurs.
Réglages:
– longueur du formulaire
– position de la première ligne d’impression
– espacement de la tête d’impression (seulement pour les imprimantes avec
AGA = Non)
– position de découpage

Le couteau coupera toujours le papier en continu à une position que vous aurez fixé
vous-même une fois pour toutes. En règle générale, cette position doit se trouver
juste en-dessous de la perforation du papier en continu.

Evitez que le découpage ait lieu au-dessous de la perforation, car le papier, en se
redressant au niveau de celle-ci, peut être gêné pour avancer efficacement.

Avant de fixer la position de découpage, le papier en continu doit être chargé et
l’imprimante doit se trouver en Online.

Pour établir la position de découpage, procédez de la façon suivante:

Appuyez sur la touche de fonction Setup…

…et choisissez ensuite le paramètre Ajuster (2).

Appuyez maintenant sur la touche du paramètre Cut (Coupe) (4).
L’imprimante passe maintenant dans le mode de l’ajustage fin de la position de dé-

coupage.
Notez qu’un avancement de formulaire automatique est toujours exécuté avant la

coupe d’alignement.

Lorsque vous appuyez un instant sur les touches < (2) ou > (3) votre fomulaire en
continu avance ou recule d’un pas. Les valeurs vous sont montrées en unités de
1/72 pouce. Le domaine de réglage possible va de -20/72" à +20/72".

Pressez les touches < (2) ou > (3) jusqu’à ce que la position de découpage se situe
juste sous la perforation (pour notre exemple nous avons choisi une valeur négati­ve. Cela correspond à un déplacement vers le haut du bord de découpe). Dès que
l’ajustage convient, mémorisez votre réglage par appui sur la touche Valid (1).
L’imprimante exécute maintenant un avancement de formulaire et coupe à la po­sition que vous avez réglée.

Quittez ensuite le menu d’ajustage par appui sur la touche de fonction Setup.

Procédez à quelques essais de découpage. Si le résultat n’est pas satisfaisant, re­nouvellez la procédure d’ajustage. Evitez que le découpage ait lieu au-dessous de
la perforation, car le papier, en se redressant au niveau de celle-ci, peut être gêné
pour avancer efficacement.

L’ajustage de la position de découpage est ainsi terminé et votre imprimante cou­pera à l’avenir toujours le papier en continu sur la position que vous venez de dé­finir.

L’imprimante est maintenant prête à fonctionner et peut recevoir les données trans­mises par l’ordinateur.

La présence du couteau est reconnue lors de l’initialisation de l’imprimante (p.ex.
lors de la mise sous tension). La fonction “Coupe” de l’imprimante standard est
remplacée par la fonction “Cut” (fonction de découpage). Les fonctions “Coupe”
et “Cut” sont identiques. Bien entendu, quand le couteau est installé, le papier
sera toujours coupé quand il arrivera sur la position de découpage, à condition
que la fonction soit active. Toutes les séquences Escape et réglages de menu se
rapportant à la fonction “Coupe” sont valables pour la fonction “Cut” quand le
couteau est installé (reportez-vous aux informations données à la section Paramè-
tres de menu supplementaires de ce manuel).

En cas de problèmes lors de l’installation ou du maniement du couteau automati­que, votre vendeur vous aidera certainement.

` Synchroniser la position de

coupe lorsque vous
changez de chemin de

Deux méthodes différentes sont disponibles pour synchroniser la position de coupe
: via le paramètre Sync.Label ou via le paramètre AED. La fonction qui est dispo­nible dépend de votre modèle d’imprimante.

Paramètre Sync.Lab Si vous utilisez différents chemins de papier, il peut y avoir de petites divergences

par rapport à la position de coupe réglée lorsque vous commutez entre les chemins
de papier. Ces divergences peuvent être éliminées à l’aide du paramètre Sync.Lab
dans le menu de test de l’imprimante. Pour cela, vous devez utiliser du papier avec
une barre de marquage noire (Label) au verso. Ce marquage sera lu après la mise
sous tension, en cas de changement de papier et après le chargement du papier.

Cette fonction n’est pas disponible sur certains modèles d’imprimante.

Pour des détails concernant la position, les dimensions et la densité du marquage,
reportez-vous à la section Spécifications générales et Spécifications du papier.

Procédez comme suit pour activer le paramètre Sync.Lab qui est désactivé dans le
réglage de base.

Faites d’abord changer l’imprimante au mode de test en tenant la touche Online
enfoncée pendant que vous mettez l’imprimante sous tension.

L’affichage indique Mode Test pendant environ 1 seconde, puis change automa­tiquement à l’affichage Test 80 Test 136.

Appuyez répétitivement sur la touche Suite (4) jusqu’à ce que l’affichage indique
Sync.Lab.

Appuyez la touche Sync.Lab (3).

Régler le paramètre sur Oui en appuyant sur la touche < (2) ou > (3).
Valider le réglage en appuyant sur la touche Valid (1).

Si, après avoir activé le paramètre Sync.Label, vous utilisez du papier sans mar­quage au verso, le message d’erreur Pas de papier apparaît à l’écran, il n’est pas
possible d’imprimer.

Si l’imprimante ne reconnaît pas un marquage disponible au verso, il est possible
de changer le réglage du paramètre Pap.back dans le mode test de “normal” à
“dark”. Pour obtenir une description de ce paramètre, reportez-vous au Guide
d’utilisateur de votre imprimante sur le CD-ROM Online.

Désactivez toujours ce paramètre avant d’enlever le dispositif de coupe. Il n’ap­paraît dans le menu de test que si le dispositif de coupe est installé et ne peut donc
plus être désactivé après la désinstallation, il reste cependant actif même sans dis­positif de coupe.

Paramètre AED Si vous utilisez différents chemins de papier, il peut y avoir de petites divergences

par rapport à la position de coupe réglée lorsque vous commutez entre les chemins
de papier. Ces divergences peuvent être éliminées à l’aide du paramètre AED dans
le menu de test de l’imprimante.

Cette fonction n’est pas disponible sur certains modèles d’imprimante.

Après le chargement un détecteur verifie le trou de transport gauche du papier. Si
l'imprimante ne peut pas détecter cet trou pour quelque raison, la fonction AED est
désactivé et à l'écran s'affiche “AED Error”. L'imprimante passe dans le mode of­fline, mais il est possible de passer en mode online en appuyant sur la touche On-
line. Aussitôt du nouveau papier est chargé (p.ex. par changement du chemin de
papier, fin de papier etc.), le bord de coupe est détecté de nouveau.

Procédez comme suit pour activer le paramètre AED qui est désactivé dans le ré­glage de base.

Faites d’abord changer l’imprimante au mode de test en tenant la touche Online
enfoncée pendant que vous mettez l’imprimante sous tension.

L’affichage indique Mode Test pendant environ 1 seconde, puis change automa­tiquement à l’affichage Test 80 Test 136.

Maintenance Lors de la coupe du papier, il est possible que des restes de papier se déposent en

dessous du dispositif de coupe. Enlevez régulièrement ces déchets de coupe.

Introduzione Le presenti Istruzioni per l’operatore descrivono il maneggio della taglierina per il

modulo continuo. Nel presente manuale vengono contemplate solamente eventuali
modifiche o aggiunte rispetto alla Guida di avvio rapida standard e al Manuale
dell’utente, cioè:

 preparare la stampante
 il montaggio della taglierina sulla stampante
 il pannello operativo e il maneggio
 la sequenza MTPL per il controllo della taglierina
 i dati tecnici
 le specificazioni carta

Le funzioni di base della stampant e sono descritte dettagliatamente nella Guida di
avvio rapida standard e nel Manuale dell’utente, tra l’altro, trovate le spiegazioni

riguardanti:

 il disimballaggio della stampante
 l’inserimento del modulo d’interfaccia
 l’inserimento del nastro
 il collegamento della stampante alla rete
 il collegamento della stampante al computer
 il caricamento carta nel primo o nel secondo trattore
 il lavoro con il menu della stampante
 le emulazioni e i sets di caratteri disponibili
 gli accessori

` Tipi di carta La stampante è predis posta per il funz ionam e nt o con mo duli continui e fogli sin-

goli. Il tipo di carta selezionato può essere gestito attraverso i percorsi carta stan­dard (trascinamoduli 1 anteriore, trascinamoduli posteriore aggiuntivo per il
modello 2T, e alimentazione fogli singoli manuale) oppure attraverso un trascina­moduli opzionale e una guida fogli singoli automatica op zionale.

Si tenga presente che l’installazione della taglierina rende tuttavia impossibile uti­lizzare l’alimentazione dei fogli singoli attraverso questa guida opzionale.

Trovate le indicazioni relative alla lunghezza e alla larghezza stampabili dei mo­duli e ulteriori specificazioni nel capitolo Dati tecnici e specificazioni carta di que­sto manuale e nella sezione Specifiche della carta del Manuale dell’utente.

` Avvertenze di sicurezza Vi preghiamo di leggere attentamente le seguenti avvertenze di sicurezza prima di

lavorare con la taglierina:

Se volete togliere dei pezzetini di carta dalla taglierina dovete prima spegnere la
stampante.

 Non introducete dei materiali non adatti nelle aperture della taglierina. La mec-

canica potrebbe venir danneggiata.

 Il funzionamento è possibile solo con la taglierina abbassata.
 Attenersi alle indicazioni di sicurezza riportate nel manuale di istruzioni

standard.

` Prima dell’installazione Per poter azionare in modo ottimale il dispositivo di taglio automatico insieme alla

Vostra stampante è necessario limitare la posizione sinistra di stampa della carta.
A seconda del percorso carta (trattore 1, trattore 2 opzionale o per il modello 2T
il trattore posteriore) devono essere inserite una o più delle 8 spine ad innesto, for­nite in dotazione, sul lato sinistro (visto dal lato anteriore della stampante) dell’as­se anteriore, rotondo del trattore. In questo modo viene impedito che il trattore
sinistro possa essere spinto troppo verso sinistra.

Qualora il trattore sinistro venisse posizionato troppo verso sinistra, è possibile
che durante il funzionamento del dispositivo di taglio automatico si verifichi un in­gorgo di carta.

Modulo continuo Le spiegazioni dei capitoli delle pagine seguenti partono dal presupposto che nella

Vostra stampante sia già stato caricato il modulo continuo.
Se, però, non avete ancora caricato il modulo continuo dovete eseguire i seguenti

passi operativi:

 per il trascinamoduli 1 e il trascinamoduli 2 (opzioni), così come descritto

nel Manuale dell’utente alla sezione Caricamento della carta a moduli
continui,

 per il trascinamoduli posteriore (solo per il Modello 2T), così come descritto

nel Manuale dell’utente alla sezione Aggancio della carta al trascinamoduli
posteriore.

Ora portate il modulo continuo caricato nella posizione di parcheggio. A questo
scopo procedete nel modo seguente:

1. Strappate il modulo continuo lungo la perforazione utilizzando il bordo di

strappo della stampante.

2. Se necessario, commutare la stampante nel modo Offline e premere il tasto

Park.

glierina sulla

Rimuovere dapprima la calotta insonorizzante* della stam­pante, e prima di prelevarlo spostarlo verso l’alto formando
un angolo di 45° (

Rimuovere quindi il coperchio anteriore (

coperchio a 45° e tirarlo dapprima lievemente sul lato destro.
Dopodiché, rimuoverlo tirandolo lievemente verso l’alto
anche sul lato sinistro.

Mettete ora la copertura in dotazione nella stampante. Met­tete ora la copertura in dotazione nella stampante, e serve da
appoggio per il dispositivo convogliatore di tras porto.





Agganciare il coperchio posizionandolo a 45° dall’alto,
come mostrato nella figura.

Introducete ora i denti di attacco della stampante (n) nelle
apposite concavità della copertura. Dopodiché premere
anche l’attacco sul lato destro di essa (o) nell’apposita con­cavità della stampante, per poi sollevarla.

Ribaltate verso l’alto la copertura posteriore portandola in



posizione verticale (n) e toglietela verso l’alto (o).



Tenete la taglierina nella posizione verticale e portate le

all’interno gli arresti (n) a sinistra e
destra. Tenete presente che le due

taglierina vanno inserite perfetta­mente nelle guide laterali all’interno
della stampante (la figura riporta la
guida destra o). Premete verso il
basso la taglierina e allentate gli
arresti.

Appoggiate la taglierina ribaltandola verso il basso.
Montate i due supporti sulla guida anteriore della taglierina

inserendoli di lato, uno dopo l’altro, nella guida. Orientare i
supporti in modo che sostengano la carta in maniera
adeguata.

Se lavorate con carta i cui bordi sono connessi a pressione, p.es. moduli a ricalco,
potete evitare un eventuale aggancio dei singoli fogli riducendo la distanca dei
supporti carta.

Pannello operativo e maneggio

La funzione Fogli singoli è supportata a seconda del modello della stam pante.

Il display indica alternativamente due immagini, fermandosi sulla cassetta di
alimentazione carta ultimamente memorizzata ed attualmente attiva (ad es. fogli
singoli).

Mediante quest’indicazione alternata, viene rilevato che è possibile alimentare la
stampante con carta posta nella rispettiva cassetta.

Dato che Voi operate con modulo continuo o a fogli a serie continua, premete al­lora prima il tasto funzionale Setup…

…e poi il tasto per il parametro Dir.Cart (3).
Selezionate il trattore in cui si trovano i fogli a serie continua (nel nostro esempio

il trattore 1) azionando < (2) oppure > (3).

Confermate ora la via della carta prescelta (nel nostro esempio il trattore 1) pre­mendo il tasto OK (1).

La conferma da parte della macchina è un segnale acustico, accompagnato da un
asterisco posto accanto al nuovo selezionamento indicato sul display.

Dopodiche’ la stampante ritorna indietro sul menu di setup. Ripremete infine il ta­sto funzionale Setup.

Ora la stampante si trova in stato Offline.
Mediante il tasto Load (4) portate il modulo continuo in posizione di stampa.
Se l’interfaccia ha ricevuto dati di stampa e se la carta “attiva” si trova ancora in

posizione di parcheggio, la carta viene trascinata automaticamente nella posizione
di stampa attuale e la stampante è pronta a stampare.

Quando passate da un tipo di caricamento all’altro, il modulo continuo può rima­nere nel trattore di trascinamento non attivo. La stampante porta il modulo conti­nuo automaticamente in posizione di parcheggio. Si tenga presente che le
impostazioni del percorso carta “Trattor” del gruppo parametri “Carta” possono
essere definite separatamente per ogni trascinamoduli. Impostazioni:
– Lunghezza modulo
– Prima riga di stampa
– Distanza della testina di stampa (solo stampanti con AGA = No).
– Posizione di taglio

Se dovessero verificarsi problemi nell’alimentazione o nel trasporto della carta,
procedere come indicato nel Manuale dell’utente, alla sezione Eliminazione dei
guasti.

` Regolazione della posizione

di taglio

STOP

Una volta impostata, la taglierina taglierà il modulo continuo sempre alla posizio­ne da Voi desiderata. Generalmente questa posizione dovrebbe venir fissata appe­na al di sotto della perforazione del modulo continuo.

Evitate il taglio al disopra della perforazione, poiché in tal caso si intralcerà il
flusso ottimale dei fogli dovuto ai residui di carta eventualmente risultanti.

Prima di fissare la posizione di taglio dovete caricare il modulo continuo e la stam­pante deve trovarsi in stato Online.

Per fissare la posizione di taglio procedete nel modo seguente:

Premete il tasto funzionale Setup…

…e selezionate poi il parametro Regolaz (2).

Premete ora il tasto per il parametro Cut (4).
Ora la stampante passa alla modalità per la regolazione precisa della posizione di

taglio.
Osservare che prima del taglio di regolazione venga effettuato sempre un

mento automatico del modulo.

Premendo brevemente i tasti < (2) oppure > (3) il Vostro modulo continuo viene
trascinato un po’ in avanti oppure portato indietro. I singoli valori Vi vengono
visualizzati ad intervalli di 1/72 di pollice. L’ambito di selezionamento va dai

-20/72“ fino ai +20/72“.

Azionate ripetutamente il tasto < (2) oppure > (3) fino a che il punto di taglio si
troverà appena un po’ al disotto della perforazione (nel nostro esempio abbiamo
scelto un valore negativo. Ciò corrisponde ad uno sposta mento verso l’alto del
bordo di taglio). Dopo l’avvenuto aggiustamento, memorizzate la Vostra scelta
azionando il tasto OK (1). La stampante effettua ora un avanzamento del modulo
e taglia nella posizio ne regolata da Voi.

Sortite ora dal menu per l’aggiustaggio premendo il tasto funzionale Setup.

Eseguite alcuni tagli di prova. Se il risultato non è ancora soddisfacente dovete ri­petere il procedimento dell’impostazione. Evitate il taglio al disopra della perfo­razione, poiché in tal caso si intralcerà il flusso ottimale dei fogli dovuto ai residui
di carta eventualmente risultanti.

Ora la regolazione della posizione di taglio è terminata e la Vostra stampante in
futuro taglierà il modulo continuo sempre alla posizione da Voi impostata.

La stampante è di nuovo pronta a stampare e può ricevere i dati trasmessi dal Vo­stro computer.

Durante l’inizializzazione della stampante (p.e. fase di accensione) viene ricono ­sciuto se la stampante è dotata di una taglierina. La funzione “Stp.” della stam­pante standard viene sostituita dalla funzione “Cut” (funzione di taglio). Le
funzioni “Stp.” e “Cut” sono identiche, però con taglierina montata e raggiunta
la posizione di taglio, la carta viene sempre tagliata, ammesso che questa funzione
sia attivata. Con taglierina installata tutte le sequenze Escape che si riferiscono
alla funzione “Stp.” sono valide per la funzione “Cut” (vi preghiamo di consultare
anche il capitolo “Parametro menu supplementare” di questo manuale).

` Sincronizzare la posizione

di taglio in caso di percorsi
carta alternati

La posizione di taglio può essere sincronizzata con due sistemi: con il parametro
Sync.Label o mediante il parametro AED. La funzione disponibile dipende dal
modello della stampante.

Parametro Sync.Label In caso di impiego di diversi percorsi carta è possibile che durante la commutazio-

ne tra i percorsi carta si verifichino lievi spostamenti rispetto alla posizione di ta­glio regolata. Questo spostamenti possono essere eliminati con l’ausilio del
parametro Sync.Lab nel menu esteso della stampante. Per effettuare questo è ne­cessario tuttavia l’impiego di carta provvista sul retro di una linea di marcatura
nera (Label). Questa marcatura viene richiesta dopo l’accensione, in caso di cam­bio carta e dopo il caricamento della carta.

Questa funzione non è presente in determinati modelli di stampante.

Dettagli relativi alla posizione, alle misure ed al grado di annerimento della mar­catura sono riportati nel paragrafo Dati tecnici e Specificazioni carta.

Procedere come segue per attivare il parametro Sync.Lab che nella posizione di
partenza è disinserito.

Portare la stampante prima nella modalità Test premendo il tasto Online e accen­dendo contemporaneamente la stampante.

Sul display compare per circa 1 secondo l’indicazione Modo Test, e quindi auto­maticamente l’indicazione ASCII 80 ASCII 136.

Richiamare il gruppo dei parametri Paphand premendo tre volte il tasto Su (4).

Premere il tasto Su (4) fine a quando sul display non compaia Sync.Lab.
Premere il tasto Sync.Lab (3).

Premendo il tasto < (2) o > (3) posizionare il parametro su Si.
Confermare con il tasto OK (1).

Se dopo l’attivazione del parametro Sync.Label viene impiegata carta priva della
marcatura necessaria sul retro, appare sul display la segnalazione di guasto Er-
rore caricamento e non è possibile stampare.

Se la stampante non riconosce una marcatura presente sul retro della carta, è pos­sibile commutare il parametro Pap.back nel modo testo dalla regolazione da
“normal” in “dark”. Una descrizione di questo parametro è riportata nel Manua-
le dell’utente della Vostra stampante sul CD-ROM Online.

Disattivare assolutamente questo parametro prima di rimuovere il dispositivo di
taglio. Compare nel menu esteso esclusivamente se il dispositivo di taglio è instal­lato e pertanto non può più essere disinserito dopo la disinstallazione rimanendo
tuttavia attivo anche senza dispositivo di taglio.

Parametro AED In caso di impiego di diversi percorsi carta è possibile che durante la commutazio-

ne tra i percorsi carta si verifichino lievi spostamenti rispetto alla posizione di ta­glio regolata. Questo spostamenti possono essere eliminati con l’ausilio del
parametro AED nel menu esteso della stampante.

Questa funzione non è presente in determinati modelli di stampante.

Per sincronizzare la carta dopo il caricamento, il sensore controlla il foro di tra­sporto di sinistra della carta. Se per qualsivoglia ragione la stampante non riesce a
rilevare tale foro, la funzione AED viene disattivata e si attiva un “AED error”. La
stampante si commuta in modo “Offline”, ma può essere riportata in stato “Online”
premendo l'apposito tasto. Non appena viene caricata altra carta (ad es. commuta­zione della guida carta, all’esaurimento della carta, ecc...) il bordo di taglio viene
nuovamente rilevato”.

Procedere come segue per attivare il parametro AED che nella posizione di parten­za è disinserito.

Portare la stampante prima nella modalità Test premendo il tasto Online e accen­dendo contemporaneamente la stampante.

Sul display compare per circa 1 secondo l’indicazione Modo Test, e quindi auto­maticamente l’indicazione ASCII 80 ASCII 136.
