This Quick Installation Guide explains how to install your
PrintServer.

Caution: Static electricity can damage the interface. You
should either wear an antistatic wrist wrap, or frequently
touch the metal surface of the printer.

Install Interface in Printer

1. Make sure no power cord is connected to the printer.

2. Locate the printer's interface slot by way of the
printer's manual.

3. Remove the plate covering the printer's interface
slot.

4. Insert the interface in the s lot as described in the
printer's manual.

Network Installation

1. Make sure no power cord is connected to the printer.

2. Connect network cable to the RJ45 port on the rear
panel of the interface. Power on the printer.

3. The complete Installation Guide will be printed. Note:
If nothing is printed, please check that the printer is
online and not in an error condition.

Generate Settings Printout

1. Press the TEST button on the back of the
PrintServer.

Warnung: Statische Elek trizität kann Ihre Schnittstelle

beschädigen. Sie sollten daher ein antistatisches Armband
tragen oder regelmäbig die metallische Oberfläche Ihres
Druckers berühren.

Installation der Schnittstelle im Drucker

1. Versichern Sie sich, dass kein Stromkabel mit dem
Drucker verbunden ist.

2. Machen Sie den Platz für die Schn ittstelle im Drucker
mit Hilfe dessen Bedienung sanleitung ausfindig.

3. Entfernen Sie die Platte, d ie den Eingang für die
Schnittstelle im Drucker freigibt.

4. Setzen Sie die Schnit tstelle entsprechend der
Anweisungen der Drucker-Bedienungsanleitung ein.

Netzwerk Installation

1. Versichern Sie sich, dass kein Stromkabel mit dem
Drucker verbunden ist.

2. Schließen Sie das Netzwerkkabel an den RJ45 Port
auf der Rückseite der Sc hnittstelle an. Schalten Sie
den Drucker ein. Die komplette Installations­Anleitung wird gedruckt. Bitte beachten: Erfolgt kein
Ausdruck, überprüfen Sie bitte, ob der Drucker
eingeschaltet ist oder e ine Fehlermeldung anzeigt.

Generieren eines Ausdrucks der Einstellungen

1. Drücken Sie die blaue TEST-Taste auf der rechten
Seite des Print-Servers.

Attention: L'électricité statique peut endommanger
l'interface. Il est recommandé soit de porter un bracelet anti­statique, soit de toucher fréquemment la surface métallique
de l'imprimante afin de vous décharger de l'électricité
statique.

Installer l'interface dans l'imprimante

1. Assurez-vous que le cordon secte ur est bien
déconnecté de l'imprimante.

2. Vérifiez l'emplacement du slot d'interface dans le
manuel de l'imprimante.

3. Dévissez la plaquette qui protège le slot d'interface.

4. Installez l' interfa ce dans le slot comme indiqué dans
le manuel de l'imprimante.

Installation sur le réseau

1. Assurez-vous que le cordon secte ur est bien
déconnecté de l'imprimante.

2. Connectez le câble réseau sur le port RJ45 à l'arrière
de l'interface. Mettez l'imprimante sous tension.

3. Le guide d'installation complet sera imprimé. A
Noter: Si rien ne s'imprime, vérifiez que l'imprimante
est bien prête, qu'aucun message d'erreur n'est
affiché et que le serveur d'impression est
correctement connecté au port parallèle.

Impression des paramètres de configuration

1. Appuyez sur le bouton bleu TEST sur le côté droit du
serveur d'impression.

Precaución: La ele ctricidad estática puede producir daños en

la interfaz. Deberá llevar puesta una muñequera antiestática
o tocar con frecuencia la superficie metálica de la impresora.

Instalar la interfaz en la impresora

1. Asegúrese de que el cable de alimentación no esté
conectado a la impresora.

2. Localice la ranura de la interfaz de la impresora
utilizando el manual de la misma.

3. Quite la placa que cubre la ranura de la interfaz de la
impresora.

4. Introduzca la interfaz en la ra nura tal como se
describe en el manual de la impresora.

Instalación de la red

1. Asegúrese de que el cable de alimentación no esté
conectado a la impresora.

2. Conecte el cable de la red al puerto RJ45 situado en
el panel posterior de la interfaz. Encienda la
impresora. Se imprimirá la Guía de instalación
completa. Nota: si no se imprime nada, compruebe
si la impresora está en línea y no se encuentra en
ningún estado de error y que el servidor de
impresión está perfectamente conectado al puerto
paralelo.

Generar el impreso de los ajustes

1. Pulse el botón TEST situado en el lado derecho del
servidor de impresión.

Attenzione: L'elettricità statica può danneggiare l'in terfaccia.
Si consiglia di portare un bracciale anti statico o di toccare
spesso la superficie metallica della stampante.

Installazione dell'interfaccia nella stampante

1. Accertarsi che la stampante non sia collegata
all'impianto elettrico.

2. Localizzare l'alloggiamento dell'interfaccia per mezzo
del manuale della stampante.

3. Togliere il coperchio che copr e l'allogg iam en to
dell'interfaccia della stampante.

4. Inserire l'interfacc ia nell'alloggiamento come
descritto nel manuale della stampante.

Installazione in ret e

1. Accertarsi che la stampate non sia collegata
all'impianto elettrico.

2. Collegare il cavo di rete alla porta RJ45
dell'interfaccia sulla parte posteriore. Accendere la
stampante. La Guida di Installazione si stamperà per
intero. Note: Se la stampa non avviene si prega di
controllare che la stampate sia in linea e non segnali
errori.

Stampa delle impostazioni

1. Per ottenere la stampa delle impostazioni pr emere il
pulsante blu TEST sul la to destro del PrintSer ver.
