1. Here is the modification in Ver. 4.01 of the PCL5e Printer Driver for Windows NT4.0 as compared
with Ver. 4.00.

A defect occurred in processing TrueType Font File, when TrueType Glyph
was downloaded and printed. This defect depends upon data, application
and PC environments.

was downloaded and printed. This defect depends upon data, application
and PC environments.

Measurements for the above modifications toward the Printer and Fax drivers of GP version was
implemented in the localized versions (FIGS) which are to be released early April.
The new Driver CD-ROM on PSPCL-H1/K1 boards will be available from the end of April.

To print from manual feed tray, specify “Custom Common Setting” → “Stack
Bypass Size Entry = ON” in the Copier operation panel and set the paper
size in the manual feed tray correctly before printing.
Create an Overlay file with one-page data when creating the file by
selecting [Page Setup] → [Page Options] → [Overlay].

When creating a custom paper size in Print Server Properties dialog box of
Windows NT4.0, specify the margins as ¼ inch.
Cross-sort may not work correctly when cross-sorting the text with different
paper sizes. (Selecting “Collate” & “Rotate” in the Finishing tab)
Because the copier does not support cross-sorting of paper sizes other than
A5, B5, A4 and Letter, the pages of unsupported paper size documents will
not be cross-sorted.

Image loss may occur due to time-out, when complicated data is printed in
Draw Application such as Corel DRAW via the Centronics.
In case that this symptom occurs, change the spool settings of the driver to
the followings.
[In case of Windows 95/98]
Specify “Start printing after last page is spooled” in Spool Settings of
Properties.
[In case of Windows NT4.0]
Specify “Start printing after last page is spooled” in Scheduling of
Properties.
The error “PCL ERROR: Out of Memory” may occur for some documents
because of insufficient memory of downloading the fonts. In this case,
increase the printer memory to 64MB, or select the Raster option for the
Graphic Mode in the Graphic sheet, and then enabled the Print Text as
Graphic check box in the Misc. sheet.
Alternate Printer Driver for Windows 9x cannot be installed in Windows
NT4.0, since the Installer program is designed, as its specifications, to
distinguish started OS automatically and to install Windows 9x or NT4.0
drivers.
