The ZyXEL PLA5205 600 Mbps Powerline Gigabit Ethernet Adapter improves networking
performance by more than 20% comparing to the 500 Mbps powerline technology for more stable
multiple-HD media streaming. Just plug a pair of PLA5205 into the electrical outlets and connect
your network devices to them to immediately enjoy HD multimedia streaming, multiplayer
gaming and other network applications simultaneously in every room.

With the latest HomePlug AV2 technology*, the ZyXEL PLA5205 provides speeds up to 600 Mbps* and
backward compatibility with HomePlug AV and IEEE 1901-based products. In addition, the PLA5205 is
equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet port to provide a stable, high-performance network for simultaneous
HD streaming, gaming and Web browsing. You can easily extend Internet access to any room with just a
power outlet.
SmartLink™ Plus** extends home network coverage
SmartLink™ Plus** enables transmission of powerline signals across all three electrical wires – line,
neutral and ground. It extends home connectivity range by up to 50% and oers a great improvement
on overcoming most environmental interference, ltered AC outlet strips and other noisy equipment to
ensure continuous HD video streaming throughout the house.
QoS enhances media streaming quality
The advanced Quality of Service (QoS) feature improves the quality of multimedia streaming
applications such as triple-play services by trac prioritizing HD video streaming, high-speed Internet
access and VoIP services.
Plug-and-play and easy security setup
The ZyXEL PLA5205 gives you the installation exibility to turn power lines into a home network without
blocking power outlets nearby. Data transmission is protected by the 128-bit Advanced Encryption
Security (AES) mechanism to provide a secure connection to the Internet. Encryption can be congured
with a simple button press—no complicated setup or additional software required.

Remote management through TR-069***
By adopting the TR-069 standard, the ZyXEL PLA5205 enables service providers to remotely manage and congure the devices without any user
intervention. Moreover, it oers a “plug-and-play” experience to reduce the deployment complexity, operating costs and maintenance expenses for
service providers.
Green product saves energy consumption
When there is no Ethernet connection in 60 seconds, the ZyXEL PLA5205 will enter the power-saving mode that consumes only 0.5 watt to save energy by
over 80% when compared to adapters without this function.
