4.3 ZEISS InProcess software
InProcess is a software to control one or multiple devices, to setup and
execute measurement procedures and to visualize and archive spectral and
numerical data from ZEISS spectrometer systems.
The InProcess software is preinstalled on the AURA handheld NIR.
Note
For detailed information to InProcess, please refer to the provided
“InProcess Manual” The InProcess software documentation can be
found by clicking on the question mark in the upper right corner of
the user interface
To fully incorporate all AURA handheld NIR features (eg system
status LED and internal referencing) please use the “AURA handheld
NIR” product template for new product configurations

Operation
5 Operation
5.1 Getting started
The AURA handheld NIR is delivered with a deactivated battery.
Place the battery in the battery charger to activate the battery.
Please charge the battery to full capacity before first use
(see “5.6 Charging the battery pack” on page 28).
You can start right away by plugging the charger cable into the socket on
the backside of the AURA handheld NIR (see Fig. 3 / 4).
Insert a battery pack into the battery slot of the AURA handheld NIR until
the “Release buttons” snap in (see Fig. 2 / 7).
Push the “Power ON button” (see Fig. 2 / 6). After about 30 seconds the
system will display the startup screen of InProcess on the touchscreen
(see Fig. 2 / 2).

24

Operation
5.2 Start measurement
Note
The device automatically starts an internal reference measurement
after starting InProcess Additionally, a reference measurement
is executed directly before and after each sample measurement,
when the Start measurement button is pressed
The reference measurement prior to a sample measurement has to
be configured for the measurement process in the product setup
Depending on the preset measurement process, the following steps show
the exemplary interaction of the user with the instrument:
1. Choose the measurement process.
2. Press the “Start measurement button” on the AURA handheld NIR.
3. Enter an identifier or a name for the measurement data.
4. Measurement results will be displayed on the screen.
Note
Measurement results might differ with the device orientation
It is strongly recommend to execute the internal referencing and
the measurement in the same device orientation – best choice
would be referencing directly on the sample

5.3 Export data
There are two different options available for data exchange between the
AURA handheld NIR and storage media or PCs:
• Gigabit Ethernet at 1000 Mbit
or:
• 2 x USB 2.0
The data transfer can be executed via InProcess.
5.4 Shutting down
A shutdown of the device can be performed by pressing the “Exit” tile in
the home screen of InProcess and selecting “Shutdown” from the dialog.

of the 808.11 Bands, IEEE 802.11 ac Draft 2.0 and 802.11 a/b/g/n specifications, plus is backward compatible while using 802.11n standard.
The LM808 Series Adapter is for users requiring a high-performance wireless client. Also supporting the WiFi Direct feature that can
easily build a WiFi P2P PAN network.
The LM808 supports the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) with one transmit and one receive path (1T1R).
Features include support for both 20MHz, 40MHz and 80MHz channel bandwidth, and combined with BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM and
256QAM modulation of the individual subcarriers and oers a compatible coding rate of 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, and 5/6, and provides up to 433.3
Mbps over IEEE 802.11ac while using 80MHz bandwidth.
