Operating System Compatibility
Your My Passport Enterprise drive and the WD Compass software are compatible with
the Windows 8 Enterprise operating system. After you connect the drive to your
computer and configure the Windows To Go workspace, you can use it on:
• Other Windows 8 computers
• Windows 7 computers
• Other computers that would support Windows 7 or later, even if they are running
Windows XP
For highest performance and reliability, always install the latest updates and service
pack (SP). Go to the Start menu and select Windows Update.
Disk Drive Format
Your My Passport Enterprise drive is formatted as a single NTFS partition for
compatibility with all updated Windows operating systems.
