Battery installation
Install the battery as shown below.

Battery charging
Once you have installed the battery, the screen indicates the battery status
(see the table below). For best performance, keep the handset in the telephone
base or charger when not in use. The battery is fully charged after 11 hours of
continuous charging.

Add and register a handset
You can add new handsets (CS6709/CS6709-15/CS6709-16, purchased
separately)
to your telephone system. Each handset must be registered with the telephone
base before use. When rst purchased, each expansion handset displays

a beep. The registration process takes about 90 seconds to complete.
