SOME DO'S AND DON'TS ON THE SAFE USE OF EQUIPMENT
• This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet European safety stan-

OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Power ON/OFF
Connect the AC cord between AC outlet and main unit. Make sure the voltage is correct before connection.
1. Press the POWER button (8) or (31) to turn the unit 'ON'.
Note: The LCD display (11) will illuminate.
2. You can now select your desired music source by pressing the function button (3) or
(32) for CD, TUNER or TAPE mode.
NOTE: When TAPE mode is selected, "TAPE" will show in the display.
3. To switch to POWER OFF, press the POWER button (8) or (31) to turn the unit 'OFF'. The LCD display
light will go off and STANDBY indicator (9) will be illuminated.
BASIC OPERATION
Electronic volume control
1. Press VOL-UP or DOWN button (18) or (37) to increase or reduce the volume.
2. Holding down the VOL UP/DOWN button will result in continuous increase or
decrease of the volume.
Bass Boost Control
Press the BBS button (19) to ON position for a rich bass sound. Press the BBS button
again to turn it off.
Headphones socket
Headphones socket "PHONES" (1) is for headphones with 16-32 Ohm impedance (3.5mm jack). Use
corresponding adaptors (bought at special stores) if you have different plugs. The speakers are automatically switched off when the headphones are being used.
CAUTION: Do not use the headphones at high volume for a long time. Listening at high power for a
long time could damage users' ears.
Listening to the radio
1. Press the POWER button (8) or (31) to turn the unit 'ON'. The LCD display (11) will illuminate.
2. Press the FUNCTION button (3) or (32) to the RADIO mode.

3. Press the BAND button (2) or (29) repeatedly to select AM (MW) or FM band.
4. Press the BAND button (2) or (29) repeatedly to select AM (MW) or FM band.
Manual Tuning - Press and hold the TUNING UP or DOWN buttons (15)/(33) until the display approaches your desired station. Then tap the buttons repeatedly until the display shows the exact frequency.
Auto tuning - Press TUNING UP or DOWN buttons (15/33) hold for 1 sec, then release. The tuner will
move up or down to the next available station.
5. When finished listening, press the POWER button (8)/(31) to turn the system OFF.
Storing preset stations
The unit enables you to program 10 stations of FM and 10 stations of AM (MW) band.
1. Tune to the station you wish to store by pressing the tuning up or down
buttons (15) or (33).
2. Press the PROGRAM button (14) or (34) once.
3. Press the MEM-UP or MEM-DN button (6) or (5)/(28) or (36) repeat-
edly to set the desired preset station number.
4. Press the PROGRAM button (14) or (34) again. The station is stored
in the allocated channel.
5. To store other stations, repeat above steps.
Recalling preset stations
Press the MEM-UP or MEM-DN button (6) or (5)/(28) or (28)/(36) repeatedly to set the desired preset
station number.
CD PLAYBACK
1. Press the POWER button (8) or (31) to turn the unit 'ON'. The LCD
display (11) will illuminate. Select CD mode using FUNCTION button
(3)/(32).
2. If there is no DISC inside, a "- - -" display will appear.
Loading a disc
1. Open the CD Player Lid (23).
2. Load a CD inside CD compartment (22) and then close the CD Lid
(23). After that, TOC reading will start.

Press PLAY/PAUSE button (12)/(35) to play the CD.

Press the PLAY/PAUSE button during the disc is playing, the playback
symbol will be flashing.

To stop playback
Press the STOP button (10) or (29).
Skip and Search Function
Press the SKIP forward or backward buttons (15)/(33) momentarily.

Repeat Track/Disc and Random playback
1. Press the PLAY MODE button (16) or (30) once for one track repeat
playback.
2. Press the PLAY MODE button (16) or (30) twice for all tracks repeat
playback.
3. In stop mode only, press the PLAY MODE button (16) or (30) third
for Random mode playback.
Note: Once desired mode selected, press PLAY/PAUSE button
(12)/(35) to start playback from stop mode.
4. In stop mode, press the PLAY MODE button (16) or (30) fourth time to cancel above modes.

PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK
The CD player enables you to program up to 20 tracks in a sequence of your choice. First select CD
stop mode. If more than 20 tracks are entered, "MEMORY" and "- -" will flashing on the display to indicate that memory is full and no further tracks should be entered for programming.
1. Press the PROGRAM button (14) or (34) ones.
Example: Programming input mode
2. Press the CD SKIP FORWARD, BACKWARD (15) or (33) buttons
to select the desired track to be programmed.
Example: Select track 4
3. Pressing PROGRAM button again to store track 4.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to continue programming.
Reviewing program
Pressing PROGRAM button (14)/(34) will display on LCD (11) the track number you entered.
5. Press PLAY/PAUSE button (12)/(35) to play the program.
Note: Press the PROGRAM button (if programmed tracks still exist)
then PLAY/PAUSE button, the program playback will start again.
Clear the program
Press PROGRAM button in stop mode to review program tracks, then press the STOP button (10)/(29)
in order to clear the preset programs. (Or open the CD door or change function to other mode).
MP3 DISC PLAYBACK
1. Press the POWER button (8) or (31) to turn the unit 'ON'. The LCD display (11) illuminate. Select CD
mode using FUNCTION button (3)/(32).
2. If there is no DISC inside, a "- - -" display will appear.

1. Open CD player lid (23).
2. Load an MP3 disc inside CD compartment and then close the CD lid. After that, reading TOC will
start.
