IntroductIon
The Interface Kit allows you to play music from an iPod® through your vehicle’s radio system. Reading this Owner’s Manual ensures that you will get the most out of your audio experience. This manual explains how to integrate the radio with your iPod using the Interface Kit. Button locations and labeling will differ depending upon your vehicle’s make and model.
For new iPods, follow the iPod instructions for loading songs into it before connecting to the radio. The Interface Kit uti­lizes the Satellite Radio (SAT) controls of your radio’s. There­fore, Satellite Radio controls are used to search for and play music from the iPod.
NOTE: With the Interface Kit installed, Satellite Radio use is not possible.

The Interface Kit includes cable located in your vehicle’s glove box.

iPod COMPATIBILITY
Due to the frequency of iPod software updates for the iPod, only the latest versions are fully supported. Check the Ap­ple® website for current software version numbers (http:// www.apple.com/). Software older than what is listed is not supported. iPods with older software versions than what is listed, is not supported by the Interface Kit. To see if your iPod is compatible, see the following list.
