Safety information
At time of delivery
Check packaging and dishwasher immediately for signs of transport damage. If the appliance is
damaged, do not put it into use but contact your supplier or customer service without delay. Please dispose of packaging materials properly.
During installation
Place the dishwasher and connect it up in accordance with the installation instructions. The dishwasher must not be connected to the electricity supply while installation is being carried out. Ensure that the domestic wiring is properly earthed. The mains electricity supply must conform to the details shown on the dishwasher nameplate. Do not connect the dishwasher to the electricity supply via an extension cable. Built-under and built-in appliances s hould alway s be installed under a continuous work s ur face whic h is attached to the adjacent cupboards, in order to ensure that the appliance is entirely stable. After the appliance has been installed,the mains plug should still be easily accessible. The plastic hous ing on the water inlet co ntains an electrically opera t ed va lve.The connecting wires are inside the inle t hose.Do not cut thr ough this hose and do not immerse the plastic housing in wat er. During installation, the power supply cord must not be excessively or dangerously bent or flattened.
For Switzerland only:
There are no rest r ic tions on installing t he applianc e between wooden or plas tic walls as part of a fitted kitchen. I f the appli ance is not plugged into a wal l sock et, it mus t be connec ted to the m ains vi a a separator for all poles within the domestic wiring system. This device must have a gap of at least 3mm between open contacts, in order to conform with relevant safety regulations.

During normal use
The dishwasher must only be used by adults for the washing of household dishes and cooking utensils. This appliance cannot be installed outdoor, not even if the area in which it is installed is covered by a roof; it is also very dangerous to leave it exposed to the rain and elements. Do not place any heavy object s or stand on the door when it is open. The appliance co uld t ip forward. The water inside the dishwasher is not suitable for drinking. Do not use solvents of any kind inside your dishwasher. They could cause an explosion danger. Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher is operating. There is a risk of water squirting out. Do not touch the heating element during or after a wash cycle.
Fundamental rules to follow when using the appliance:
- Never touch the dishwasher when barefoot or with wet hands or feet;
- We discourage the use of extension cords and multiple sockets;
- If the a pplianc e is not operating prop er ly or mai ntenance m us t be performed, dis c onnect t h e appliance from the power supply.
If your family inclu d es children
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,sensory
or mental capcabilit ies, o r lac k o f exper ienc e and knowle dge, unles s they hav e bee n giv en su perv i­sion or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they to not play with the appliance. Keep detergents out of the reach of children, who mus t also be kept away from the dishwasher when it is open.
If a fault occurs
If the appliance malfunctions, turn off water supply to the appliance and disconnect the plug from the
wall socket. Then, consult the section entitled, "F ault f inding" . If you cannot solve the proble m, con­tact a service center. Only specialised personnel are authorised to make repairs. If the supply cord is damaged ,it must be replaced by t he man ufacture ,it s service agent of simil arly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. To maintain the EFFICIENCY and SAFETY of this appliance,we recommend:
- call only the Service Centers authorized by the manufacturer.
- always use original Spare Parts.
When disposing of old appliances

Appliances whic h a r e no longer being u s ed m us t be m ade inoperable by cut ting the power supply
cord and removing the door lock. Take the appliance to a designated waste disposal center.
Dangerous voltage
Warning
Children could get locked in the appliance (risk of suffocation) or get stuck in other positions. Therefore: Remove the mains plug, cut the mains wire and set aside. Damage the door lock so that the door can no longer be closed.
Installation

Positioning the appliance
Positioning the appliance in the desired location. The back should r es t against the wall behind it, and the sides , along the adja cent ca binet s or wall. The d ish wash er is equ ipp ed wi th w ater supp ly an d dr ain hoses that can be positioned to the right or the left to facilitate proper installation.
Levelling the appliance
Once the applia nce is pos ition ed, adj ust the fee t (s crewing t hem in or ou t) t o adjus t the di shwa sher,
making it level. In any case, the appliance s hould not be inclined more than 2˚. If the appliance is level, it will help ensure proper performance.
Cold water connection
Connect t he w at er supply ho s e to a thr ead e d 3 / 4 ( ga s ) c on nec t or , making sure that it is fastened tightly in place (see fig.A). If the water pipes are new or have not been used for an extend ed period of t ime, let t he water run to m ake s ure that t he water is clear and free of impurities. If this precaution is not taken, t here is a risk that the water inlet can get blocked and damage the appliance.

Warning
The appliance is to be connected to the water mains using new hose­sets and that old hose-sets should not be reused.

Drain hose co nnect ion
Insert the drain hose into a drain pipe with a minimum diameter of 4cm, or let it run into the sink, making
sure to avoid bending or crimping it. If necessary, fit a syphon trap (U-bend) with a connecting piece for the drain hose ( fig.B). T h e free end of the ho se must be at a height between 40 and 100 cm and mus t not be immerse d i n w at e r.

Attention:
The connecting piece for syphon trap (U-bend) must be solidly fastened to the wall to prevent the drain hose from moving and allowing water to spill outside the drain.
Electrical Connection
After making sure that the voltage and frequenc y v alues for the c ur r ent in the home cor r es pond to those on the rat ing plate ( locate d on the stainl ess steel inne r door of the ap plianc e) and that t he elec tric al system is correc t f or the max imum v olt age on t he r ating plate, insert the p lug int o an electrical socket which is earthed properly (the earthing of the appliance is a safety requirement mandated by law). If the electrical socket to which the appliance must be connected is not appropriate for the plug, replace the whole cable, rather than using adaptors or the like as they could cause overheating and burns.
Caution:
The dishwasher plug must be accessible even when the appli­ance is installed as a built-in unit so that maintenance can be done safely.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (UK ONLY)
For your safety please read the following information.
Warning: This appliance must be earthed.
The appliance must be connected to a 220-240 volts 50 cycle AC s upply by means of a three pin socket, suitably earthed and should be protected by a 13 amp fuse in the plug or a 15 amp fuse in the consumer unit. The appliance is supplied with a moulded 13 amp 3 pin mains plug fitted with a 13 amp fuse. Should the fuse require replacement, it must be replaced with a fuse rated at 13 amp and approved to BS1362. The plug contains a removable fuse cov er that must be refitted when the fuse is r eplace d. In the eve nt of the fuse cov er being los t or dam aged, t he plug m ust not be used unti l a r eplacement cover has been obtained. If the moul ded mains plu g i s uns uit abl e f or the socket outlet in your hom e or i s r em ov ed f or any other reason, then the fuse should be removed and the cut off plug disposed of safely to prevent the hazard of electric shock. There is a danger of electric shock if the cut off plug is inserted into any 13 amp socket outlet.
Caution:
The dishwasher plug must be accessible even when t he appliance is inst alled as a bu ilt-in unit so that maintence can be done safety.

How to fill the salt

Salt
The hardness of the water varies from place to plac e. I f hard water is use d in the dishwasher, deposits
will form on the dishes and utensils. The appliance is equipped with a special softener that uses a salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the water.
Loading the salt into the container
Always use salt intended for use with dishwashers.
The salt container is located beneath the lower rack and should be filled as follows:
According to the “Water Hardness Tabel”, y ou c an calcu­late the time of use, then load the salt . Remove the lower rack and then unscrew and remove the cap from the salt container. If you are filling the container f or the f ir st t im e, f ill i t with water. Place the end of the funn el (s upplied) into the hole and introduce about 2 kg of salt. It is normal for a sm all amount of water to come out of the salt container. Carefully screw the cap back on.
Important
To prevent the formation of rust, load the salt just before beginning a wash cycle.
Adjusting salt consumption
The dishwasher is designed to allow for adjusting the amount of salt consumed based on the hardness of the water used. This is intended to optimize and customize t he l ev el of s alt consumption so that it remains at a minimum. To adjust salt consumption, proceed as follows:
Unscrew the cap from the salt container; There is a ring on the container with an arrow on it (see figure to the side), If necessary, rotat e the ring in an anticlockwise direction from the "-" setting towards the "+" sign, based on the hardness of the water being used.
It is recommended that adjustments be made in accordance with the following table:

How to fill rinse aid

Rinse aid
This product makes dishes sparkle and helps them to dry without spotting. The dispenser is located on
the inside panel of the door .
When the low rinse aid indicator “ 1 ” is bright, it means the rinse aid is low, you must load rinse aid .
Loading the rinse aid
Regardless of the type of detergent disp enser installed on
your appliance, y ou m us t proc eed as indic ated below when loading the rinse aid. To open the dispenser, tur n the "2" cap in an anti-c loc k wis e direction and then pour in the rinse aid, making sure not to overfill. The amount of rinse aid used for each cycle can be regulated by turning the " 3" dose adjustor, located beneath the "2" cap, with a screwdriver. There are 6 dif ferent set tings; the normal dosage setting is 3.
Important
Proper dosage of the rinse aid improves drying. If drops of water remain o n the dishes or spotting occurs, th e dosage adj uster should be turned to a higher setting. If the dishes have white streaks, turn the dosage adjuster to a lower setting.

How to fill the detergent dispenser
Detergent
Detergent specifically intended for use with dishwashers
must be used. The dispenser must be refilled before the st art of each wash cycle following the instructions provided in the "Programme overview". The detergent dispenser is located on the inside panel of the door.
Loading the detergent

To open the " 4 " cover on the dispenser, press the " 5 " button. The detergent for the wash cycle should be poured into the " 6 " compartment. The detergent for the pre-wash cycle should be poured into the “ 7 ” compartment. After the detergent has been placed in the dispenser, close the cover and press down until it clicks in place.
Notice:
To facilitate closing the cover, remove any excess detergent on the edges of the dispenser.
Notice:
The usage of 3 in 1 or similar tablets is forbidden when Rapid Wash Heat wash and Soak programmes are selected.

Decorative patterns printed or paint ed onto t he s urface of crocker y, glas ses, etc.,aluminium and silver items tend t o bec om e disc olour ed or faded if was hed in the diswasher. S om e types of glass c an becom e opaque in app ear ance a fter t hey have b een wa shed many times in a di shwa sher . Highl y absorb ent materials, such as sponges and towels,should never be placed in the dishwasher.
Our recommendation
In future, only purchase table or kitchenware that has been confirmed as being dishwasher-proof.
Important
Dishes or cutlery that have been soiled by tobacco ash, wax, Iubricating grease or paint, should not be put in the dishwasher.

Suggested remedy
Use glassware or por celain dishes that have been marked ‘dishwa sher -proof ’ b y the manufacture. Use a mild detergent that is described as ‘kind to dishes’. If necessary, seek further inform ation from detergent manufacturers. Select a programme with a low temperature and a short duration as possible. To prevent damage, take glass and cutlery out of the dishwasher as soon as possible after the programme has ended.

Arranging crockery, glasses, etc. in the dishwasher
Before placing t he d ish es i n t he dish wash er, r em ove lar ger food particles to pr eve nt t he filter from be­coming clogged, which results in reduced performance. If the pots and pans have baked-on food that is extremely hard to remove, we recommend that they are soaked before washed. This will eliminate the need for extra wash cycles. Pull out the rack to load the dishwasher.

How to use the lower rack
We recommend that you place the most difficult to clean items on the bottom rack: pots, pans, lids, serving dishes and bowls, as shown in the figure to the right. It is preferable to place serving dishes and lids on the sides of the racks in order to avoid blocking the rotation of the top spray arm.
Pots, serving bowls, etc. must always be placed face down. (see fig.C) Deep pots should be slanted to allow the water to flow out.
The silver ware ba sket can be doub led ( see fig.D) so that only one section may be us ed whe n the silverware load is light. This also makes space for additional pot s and pans and it can also be placed in the upper rack.
Silverware should be placed in the silverware basket with the handles at the bottom; if the rack has side bask ets, the spoons should be located individually into the appropriate slots. Especially long utensils should be placed in the hori­zontal position at the front of the upper rack.(see fig.D)
Warning
knives and other utensils with sharp points must be loaded in the basket with their points down or placed in a horizontal position.

How to use the upper rack
The upper r ack is des igned to ho ld more delic ate and lighter dishware, such as glasses, cups and saucers, plates, small bowls and shallow pans (as long as they are not too dirty).
Position the dishes and cookware so that they do not get
moved by the spray of water. The upper rac k c a n be adju s ted for he ight by using the kn obs located on both sides of the rack itself (see fig.D).
Adjust the upper basket to th e hi gh er level and you have
more space to acco m mo d ate those tal ler pa ns and trays in the bottom basket.
Shelf
Lean tall glasses and those with lo ng stems agains t t he shelf­not against other items to be washed. Place glasses, cups and small bowls on the additional cup rack. The additional cup rack can be swivelled in or out as required (see fig.E).

The most approp riate programme can be i dent ified by comparing the t ype of c roc kery, c ut ler y, etc., as well as the amount and condition of food remains, with the details contained in the wash cycle table.The corresponding programme sequence, duration and consumption details are shown in the right half of the overview. For example: Use the« norm a l» programme f or dis h es and ut ens i l s wh ich have pl enty of food remains stuck on hard.
Earn savings
If only a small number of dishes have been loaded into the dishwasher,selecting a programme that operates at the next lowest temperature will usually be sufficient.
Programme data
The stated programme data are based on standard operating conditions. The values can vary consider­ably according to:
different amounts of dishes temperature of mains water supply pressure of mains water supply ambient temperature fluctuations in mains voltage machine-related factors (e.g. temperature, water volume,...)
Turning on the Appliance
Starting a wash cycle...
Make sure that the plug for the appliance is inserted into the wall socket. Make sure that the water supply is turned on to full pressure. Load the dishwasher . Pour in the detergent. Press the ON-OFF button, and the State Indicator will turn on. Turn the knob located on the right of the control panel until the number or symbol for the cycle setting is aligued with the refrence mark (see the section entitled, program overview).If the knob r ightly aligned with the refrence mark you want to choose, you must turn the knob to with the mark of “Reset” .Then back to first step. After five seconds the State Indicator will turn off, the wash cycle will begin.

At the end of the wash cycle...
When the buzzer constantly beeps six times, the Stat e I nd icat or will turn on and the cycle has finished. Turn off the appliance using the ON-OFF button, turn off the water supply and open the door of the dishwasher. Wait a few minutes bef or e unlo ading t he dis hwash er to avoid handling the dish es a nd ut ens ils while they are still hot and more susceptible to breakage. They will also dry better.
Cancelling or modif ying a wash cycle setting...
A cycle that is underway can only be modified if it has been running for a short time. Otherwise, the detergent may hav e alrea dy bee n used, an d the a pplian ce m ay hav e already dr ained the was h water. If this is th e case, th e detergent d ispenser m ust be refil led (see the p aragraph e ntitled, "Loading the Detergent").
Rotate the k nob to the m ar k of “ Res et ” ,t he appli ance will take a few minut e dr ain phas e.During t his pr oc ess , you can select right programme.
Warning
Do not place the tablets in the tub or the cutlery basket as this will result in poorer wash results. The tablets should be placed in the detergent doser.

How to keep your dishwasher in shape

After Every Wash
After every wash, t urn off the wat er supp ly (not nec essary for mode ls wi t h “Aquas t op” ) t he app lianc e and leave the door slightly ajar so that moisture and odors are not trapped inside.
Remove the plug
Before cleaning or performing maintenance, always remove the plug from the socket. Do not run risks.
No solvent s or Abrasive Clean in g P rodu cts
To clean the exte rior and rubb er pa rt s of th e d ishw ash er, do not use solv ents or abra siv e cle anin g products. Rather, use only a cloth and warm soapy water. To remove spots or stains from the surface of the interior, use a cloth dampened with water and a little while vinegar, or cleaning product made specifically for dishwashers.
Moving the Appliance
If the appliance must be m ov ed, tr y t o k eep i t in a vertic al po s it ion. I f absolutely n ec es s ar y , it c an be positioned on its back.
Seals
One of the factors that cause odors to form in the dishwasher is food that remains trapped in the seals. Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge will prevent this from occurring.
The door s hould not b e left in th e open position si nce thi s could present a trippin g hazard.
When You Go on Holiday
When you go on holiday, it is recommended that you run a wash cycle with the dishwasher empty and then rem ove the plu g fr om the s ocket , turn of f the wate r s upply and l eave the door of the appl ia nce slightly ajar. This will help the seals last longer and prevent odors from forming within the appliance.

Care a nd mainte nance
Regular inspection and m aintenance of your applia nce helps to pre vent pr oblem s fr om o ccurr ing. This saves time and aggravation.You should therefore caref ully inspect t he inside of your dishwasher from time to time.

Overall condition of appliance
Check that no grease or scale has accumulated on the inside of the dishwasher.
If you discover any deposits: Clean the interior of the dishwasher thorughly with a detergent solution.
Filters
The fil ter s “ 8”,9” pr even t lar ger parti c les of fo od in t he
water f rom r eaching the pump.T hese p art icle s may occ a- sionally block the filters.
When the appliance has finished washing, check the fil- ters for particles of food and, if required, clean. After undoing the coarse micro-filter “ 8 ” , the filter unit “ 9” c an be removed. Remov e any pa rticl es of food and rinse the filters under running water. Insert the filter unit “ 9 and tigh ten the coa rse m icr o- filter.
Spray arms
Lime and remnants of food in the washing water can block the
nozzles in the spray arms “ 10 ” and “ 11 ” and the arm mountings.
Inspect the nozzles in the spray arms for blocked holes due to remnants of food. If necessar y , pull t he lo wer arm “ 11 ” upwards and lift it of f. Unscrew the upper spray arm “ 10 ”. Clean both spray arms under running water. Refit the spray arm s . Ensu r e that the lower arm has lock e d into place and the upper one is screwed tight.

Fault finding

Resolving minor pr oblems yo urself
Experience has shown that y ou c an r es olve m os t problems that rise during normal daily usage yourself,
without hav ing to call out a serv ice engineer .Not only does this s ave costs,but it also means t hat the appliance is av aila ble for use agai n t hat much sooner . The f oll owing list of c om mon oc c ur r enc es and their remedies should help you identify the causes of most problems.
Problems...
...when the app liance is sw itch ed on
Appliance does not start up
Fault with fuse in mains electricity supply.
Plug not inserted in wall socket. Appliance door not closed properly. Programme button has not been pressed. Water tap not turned on. Blocked strainer in water intake hose.
- The strainer is situated in the Aquastop or supply-hose connection.
Caution
Do not forget that repairs should only be carried out by a qualified specialist. Improper repairs can lead to considerable equipment dam­age as well as danger to the user.

Error displays on the State Indicator “ B ”.
When the buzzer emits 1 short warning signal every 30 seconds. Have you checked whether:
the door is closed properly.

When the buzzer emits 4 short warning signal every 30 seconds. Have you checked whether:
the drain hose is crimped or bent. the drain hose is too high.
When the buzzer emits 5 short warning signal every 30 seconds.
the water is turned on and the hose is connected properly; the water supply to the house i s on a nd has sufficient pressur e; the water supply hose is crimped or bent; the filter for the water supply hose is clogged. the drain hose is too low.
When the buzzer emits 2 or 6 short warning si gnals every 30 seconds,Contact the ne ar­est authorized service center.
If you take all these c hecks and t he dishwasher still does not function or you r dish­washer have any ot her error display, you can power the dishwasher OFF, and wait a few minutes. You can power the dishwasher on, try i t agai n , if the dishw asher still does not function and/or the problem persist s, contact the nearest authorised service center and prov i de th e m with th e fo l lo wi ng in fo rma ti o n:
the nature of the problem.
the model type nu mber (Mod...) A nd the seri al number (S/N ...), which are indic ated on the pla te located on the side of the inner part of the door.
Lower spray arm rotates with difficulty
Spray arm is blocked by small items or food remains.

Measures must be taken to ensure that built-under and built-in units that are subsequently re- s ited as free-standing appliances can not topple ov er. T his can be ac hiev ed by bolt ing the dis hwash er to t he wall or fitting it under a continuous work surface which is screwed to the adjacent cupboards.
For Switzerland only: There are no rest r ic tions on installing t he applianc e between wooden or plas tic walls as part of a fitted kitchen. I f the appli ance is not plugged into a wal l sock et, it mus t be connec ted to the m ains vi a a separator for all poles within the domestic wiring system. This device must have a gap of at least 3mm between open contacts, in order to conform with relevant safety regulations.
