APPLICATIONS
Integrated Control Systems
The RS-232 protocol allows for extensive control and status information for any RS-232 capable control system. The DVD6500 offers complete transport and menu commands, as well as controls to defeat the front panel or IR codes. Return information includes transport status, timer readouts (disc or track/chapter), and the type of disc inserted.
The RS-232 specification is available by contacting TASCAM directly. The document offers explanations of the code structure for those who want to build logical assemblies. It also fixed code listings for those who want to use a more simplistic code structure.
Home, Boardrooms, Lecture Halls, etc
The DV-D6500 is a friendly player for installations. It reads CD-R, CD-RW and DVD-R media. This is important in the presentation market, since most discs used in these environments will contain materials created by the presenter on recordable media.
When operating the DV-D6500 via IR control, the front panel readout is large and bright enough to be read easily from across the room.
Electronic Billboards & Kiosks
The DV-D6500 is well equipped for the electronic signage applications. The multitude of output options, as well as the ability to defeat front panel control and/or IR control make this ideal for these situations. The DV-D6500 can automatically play the disc inside it when turned on.
