Si Series V2.4 Alpha Patching Software
Introduction:
V2.4 software for the Si Series consoles introduces Phase 1 of the console patching system, allowing selection of sources from either the analogue inputs in the console or the digital inputs of the option card slot. Destinations for direct and bus outputs may be selected in a similar manner.
Routing options are currently restricted to a 1:1 mapping, using the following scheme:
Si3 Inputs
Si2 Inputs
Si1 Inputs

*1 Direct Output destinations „swap‟ with Bus Output destination when a Bus Out is designated as „Digital‟.
Operation:
Changing Input Source:
Routing options are currently restricted to a 1:1 mapping, using the following scheme:
1. From the main menu Select „Inputs‟ menu, scroll down to the Input Source
line and press the ADJUST encoder to open the source selection.
2. Highlight your chosen source Analogue or Digital and press the encoder again
to confirm your selection.
Changing Direct Out Source:
The channel Direct Out may be sourced with either PRE or POST options (POST
implies the source is fed through that channel‟s High Pass & Low Pass filters) as
follows:
1. From the main menu Select „Inputs‟ menu, scroll down to the Direct Out
Pre/Post
2. Highlight your chosen source Pre Filter, or Post Filter, and press the encoder
again to confirm your selection
Swapping Direct Out/Bus Out destinations:
The Channel Direct Out / Bus Out may be „swapped‟ to allow bus outputs to be
routed to the option slot. Nominally the direct outputs from the channels are routed to the option slot and the bus outputs are routed to the analogue bus outputs. To change the destinations proceed as follows:
1. From the main menu Select „Outputs‟ menu and scroll down to the Output
Destination field.
2. Highlight your chosen destination “Analogue output” or “Digital output”, and
press the encoder again to confirm your selection
NOTE: Matrix Outputs are managed in a similar manner however, as there are fewer „options‟, the view is slightly different (as shown below) but the principle is identical.
Known Patching Bugs in V2.4:
Direct Out from Channels 33-40 will be „silence‟ if selected POST FILTER.
