Pre-requisites for installing amAze (turn by turn direction) application

1. AmazeGPS is a Java based application pre-bundled with the phone, it has be installed before it can be used

2. AmazeGPS uses GSM data network to download sound files during installation and to download relevant maps tiles during its use

Note: First Make sure that the date and time are set up properly.

The date format should be dd/mm/yy The time format should be 24hours/ military.

3. Before AmazeGPS can be installed the phone’s GPRS settings has to be configured

4. AmazeGPS uses profile 5 (in fact all Java applications) to connect to GPRS network

• You can find Profile 5 by traversing menu

Menu-->Setting-->Connectivity-->Connections-->GPRS Profiles-->Profile 5

• Edit APN, Login and User password under profile 5 with appropriate APN details for your network

• You can contact your service provider for APN details;

• Also, many web sites maintain these APN details for worldwide network

operators;

Installing Amaze GPS

Open the Java box Menu >Applications > JAVA

Shortcut: Pressing UP navigation button in the phone’s idle screen brings up Java box

Select Options > Embedded Applications>amAzeGps.jad

Choose “Continue”

Applicatoin: Amaze is untrusted. Continue anyway? Choose “Yes”. Wait for it to install and display “amzeGPS.jad was successfully installed”

Choose “OK”

Setting up GPS

Before Running amAze GPS, you need to turn the phone’s GPS module on:

Menu > Tools > GPS > select > ON Note:

• For the phone to connect GPS satellite and to sync in order to get the location

data, it takes about a minute when the phone is outdoors and under clear sky

• In order to get the most life out of your battery, please make sure to turn your GPS

to the “off” position after exiting amAze

Launching amaze application

After installation, select amAze in Java box to run amAze Upon launch of amAze application for the 1

• When prompted to download a newer version of amAze, select “later”.

• Choose regional settings such as State, Language, Sound and Measurement method

• After configuring the above settings, wait for the application to download the sound files;

this step may take about 10 mins to complete

Using amaze application

Upon starting amAze subsequent times:
