NEW SR TYPE SUPER SLOW OSCILLATION (CLOSE-WINDING SYSTEM)
The Super Slow Oscillation system layers the line onto the spool in a tight, even pattern, reducing the gaps between the line wraps that can cause unwanted friction to yield a reel with a more powerful cast. The new SR type design is the result of continued research to find the balance point where line trouble and friction occurring during release are reduced by optimizing the rate of oscillation along the length of the spool.

SR-3D & FLUIDRIVE II GEAR SYSTEM
Shimano has revolutionized reel gear systems with the introduction of FLUIDRIVE II according to its design principles of offering greater speed and smoothness coupled with increased leverage and power. A larger drive gear affords power to spare thanks to its ideally shaped gear teeth that have swiftly set the standard for the next generation of reel gear systems through stringent implementation of 3D analysis.
Application of Shimano’s accumulated know-how in 3D analysis has further resulted in the newly developed SR-3D gear system which achieves even greater smoothness while maintaining that original cast and retrieve feel. Reliability has been enhanced by dramatically enlarging the sweet zone where the drive and pinion gears mesh, to achieve an ideal zone of contact for gear teeth providing long-lasting operation even with wear and tear over time.
The result isn’t confined to the realm of data and theory, but rather is something readily felt in the hands of the angler_that special feel Shimano prides itself on.

Shimano ha revolucionado los sistemas de engranaje de carrete con la introducción de FLUIDRIVE II de acuerdo con sus principios de diseño de ofrecer más grandes velocidad y suavidad unidas a incrementados brazo de palanca y potencia.
Un engranaje impulsor más grande le ofrece potencia de sobra gracias a sus dientes de engranaje conformados en una forma ideal que han establecido rápidamente el estándar para la nueva generación de sistemas de engranaje de carrete a través de la implementación de un riguroso análisis 3D.
La aplicación del conocimiento acumulado de Shimano en 3D ha resultado además en el novísimo sistema de engranaje SR-3D desarrollado, el cual logra una suavidad aún mayor al tiempo que mantiene aquella sensación de lanzado y recuperación. SR-3D & FLUIDRIVE II-GETRIEBE

Die Design-Prinzipien dieses Systems bieten größere Geschwindigkeit und Gleichmäßigkeit kombiniert mit verstärkter Hebelkraft und Leistung. Ein größeres Getrieberad bietet Ihnen ausreichend Leistung, dank seiner ideal geformten Zahnräder, die dank der strengen Umsetzung der 3DAnalyse in kurzer Zeit zur Norm für die Angelrollengetriebe der nächsten Generation geworden sind.
Die Anwendung des gesamten Know-hows von Shimano in der 3D-Analyse hat weiterhin zur Entwicklung des neuen SR-3D- Getriebes geführt, das noch bessere Gleichmäßigkeit, wobei aber das ursprüngliche Gefühl beim Auswerfen und Einholen erhalten blieb. Die Zuverlässigkeit wurde verbessert, indem die Zone, in der Getriebeund Planetenrad einrücken, dramatisch vergrößert wurde, um eine ideale Kontaktzone für die Zahnradzähne zu erzielen und langjährigen Betrieb, selbst bei dem dabei gegebenen Verschleiß, zu gewährleisten.
Das Ergebnis bleibt dabei nicht nur im Bereich von Daten und Theorie, sondern es handelt sich, wie jeder Angler bestätigen kann, um ein echtes, in den Händen wahrnehmbares Gefühl, jedes besondere Gefühl nämlich, auf das Shimano stolz ist.

SISTEMA D'INGRANAGGIO FLUIDRIVE II E SR-3D
La Shimano ha rivoluzionato i sistemi di ingranaggio dei mulinelli con l'introduzione di FLUIDRIVE II: basato del suo principio di funzionamento che consiste nell'offrire una maggiore velocità e fluidità oltre a una maggiore potenza. Un migliore ingranaggio del sistema di azionamento offre un risparmio di energia grazie al dente dell'ingranaggio dalla forma ideale che ha rapidamente impostato lo standard per la prossima generazione di sistemi di denti di ingranaggio attraverso una rigorosa implementazione a partire dall'analisi 3D.
L'applicazione del know-how accumulato dalla Shimano nell'analisi 3D ha inoltre portato allo sviluppo del nuovo sistema di ingranaggio SR-3D che raggiunge persino una maggiore fluidità pur mantenendo la sensazione originale per il lancio e il recupero. This is achieved by increasing the structural support provided by the spool shaft to reduce play and rocking and enable unwavering release of line regardless of its starting point on the spool. Moreover, while delivering a distinct clicking alarm when the fish bites, the free-spool tension offered by the clicker system has also been refined to achieve the ultimate in evenness of tension. The drag knob is of course equipped with seal that qualifies it as a Waterproof Drag.

The FLOATING SHAFT, which is one of the secrets of the reel's performance, is the result of adopting a bearing to support the spool shaft and separate it from the pinion gear. This design improvement greatly reduces friction.
