Grand Modus makes the most of its longer wheelbase to transform into a real MPV, with a spacious boot (305 to 410 litres standard, depending on the position of the back seat). Loading Grand Modus is child’s play, with its easy-to-access controls for sliding the seat backwards and forwards or folding it down. With the seat completely folded down, the useful volume goes up to 1,454 litres. Holidays, shopping, minor removals... whenever you need it, Grand Modus offers you all the space you need.

Modus and Grand Modus meet 3 criteria: the vehicle produces CO2 emissions lower than 140 g/km or operates on biofuels, it is manufactured in an ISO 14001 certified factory, minimising its environmental impact, and it includes at least 5% recycled plastic in its plastic mass. With , Renault displays its environmental commitment at every stage of the life cycle of the vehicle. The vehicle has been designed in such a way that 95% of the materials used could have a second life (recyclable for other use or as a source of energy), and that pollution control at the end of the vehicle’s life (in particular extraction of fluids) is made easier. Furthermore, this vehicle has parts made of recycled plastic (8%) and renewable materials.

ADAPTABILITY

1. SPACE

A sliding rear bench seat* to prioritise either boot space (bench seat moved forward) or rear passenger room (bench seat pushed back).

2. MODULAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT

The back of the rear bench seat easily folds down into 1/3 and 2/3 sections to fit in long or bulky objects.

3. MAXIMUM LOADING

To give a storage space with a flat bed and a volume of 1,454 litres (on Grand Modus), the rear seat

folds down easily*.

4. PRACTICAL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT

Easily accessible thanks to its low loading sill and largely unobstructed due to the parcel shelf fitted to the tailgate.

SAFETY

Modus and Grand Modus are particularly strong on safety. All occupants are protected by a reinforced structure with programmed distortion zones and up to 6 airbags (depending on options): 2 frontal adaptive airbags, 2 lateral thorax airbags and 2 lateral curtain airbags.

1. EURO NCAP

Modus was the first vehicle of its class to be

awarded 5 stars in the Euro NCAP test

(August 2004). Grand Modus has these same

safety provisions and equipment.

2. DEDICATED CORNERING LIGHTS*

The lights automatically come on

(under 60km/h or 37mph) when cornering

and give the driver a wider field of vision.

3. ISOFIX CHILD SEAT MOUNTING POINTS

With three mounting points in the rear outer seats,

it allows child seats to be fitted safely and securely

(Duo Plus booster seat for children aged

12 months to 6 years available as an accessory).

4. DEACTIVATION OF FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAGS

With dashboard indicator, to enable a child seat

to be fitted in the front in complete safety.

5. LIGHT AND RAIN SENSORS

Located on the windscreen alongside the rear view mirror, these sensors activate the headlights automatically if light levels drop, and start the

windscreen wipers in the event of rain.

6. ESP (ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAMME)

ESP with ASR Traction Control and CSV Understeer Control; restores the stability of the vehicle in the event of avoidance manoeuvres and/or poor surface grip.

The Touring Line aluminium roof bars

have been especially designed for Modus.

They can accommodate, among other things, Touring Line roof boxes, which

open on both sides and are fitted

with a 3-point anti-theft lock.

The textile 3D Relief Evolution mats

are available in charcoal or beige.

Renault’s made-to-measure mats protect

Perfectly integrated, it enables you to manage your telephone calls with your car’s
