THE FCC WANTS YOU TO KNOW
Your radio might cause TV or radio interference even when it is operating properly. To determine whether your radio is causing the interference, turn off your radio. If the interference goes away, your radio is causing it. Try to eliminate the interference by:
• moving your radio away from the receiver
• connecting your radio to an outlet that is on a different electrical circuit from the receiver
• contacting your local RadioShack store for help
If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop using your radio.
CONNECTING POWER
Using Batteries
Your radio requires six D batteries (not supplied) for power. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
1. Press the battery compartment cover tabs in the direction of the arrows and pull the cover open.
2. Place three D batteries in the lower level of the battery compartment, on top of the ribbon, and three D batteries on top of the first three batteries, matching the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
