UNIT

Replacement of the diaphragm of the driver unit. Replacing of the diaphragm has to take place in a clean environment, free from any metal particles and

Use a NON-FERRO screwdriver because of the very strong magnet of the driver unit.

1.Remove the four fastening screws of the front plate of the driver and keep them on a sufficient distance from the driver.

2.Remove the front plate.

3.Remove the two screws that keep the diaphragm in place, i.e. electrical connections.

4.Slide the diaphragm in the direction of the mounting holes, out of the magnetic assembly. Take care that the damping sheet is removed also.

5.Unpack the new diaphragm with damping and loading foil.

6.From the terminal side, slide the sandwich of diaphragm, damping and loading foil carfully into the magnetic assembly. The diaphragm facing the top and the loading foil facing the rear volume.

Take care that the loading foil does not move with respect to the diaphragm.

7.Position the diaphragm with the mounting holes above the terminals.

8.Remove the loading foil in the direction of the mounting holes while keeping the diaphragm and

damping in place. Take special care that the damping remains evenly distributed.

9.Align the diaphragm in line with the magnet. 10.Secure the diaphragm with two srews.

11.Mount the front plate and secure it with four screws.
