Thank you for purchasing a Panasonic cordless telephone.
This handset is an accessory handset for use with Panasonic base units KX-TG5622/KX-TG5632/KX-TG5633/KX-TG5652/KX-TG5672. You must register this handset with your base unit before it can be used. This installation manual describes only the steps needed to register and begin using the handset. Please read the base unit’s operating instructions for further details.
Charge the battery for 7 hours before initial use.

Fasten the AC adaptor cord to prevent it from being disconnected.
Note:
L Use only the included Panasonic AC adaptor KX-TCA1 or PQLV256. L The AC adaptor must remain connected at all times. (It is normal for the adaptor to feel
warm during use.)

L The AC adaptor should be connected to
a vertically oriented or floor-mounted AC outlet. Do not connect the AC adaptor to a ceiling-mounted AC outlet, as the weight of the adaptor may cause it to become disconnected.
Battery installation
1 Press the notch of the handset cover
firmly, and slide it in the direction of the arrow.
2 Insert the battery (A), and press it
down until it snaps into the compartment (B). Then close the handset cover.

Attention:
Battery charge
Place the handset on the charger for 7 hours before initial use.
Note:
L If you want to use the unit immediately,
charge the battery for at least 15 minutes.
L To ensure that the battery charges
properly, clean the charge contacts of the handset and charger with a soft, dry cloth once a month. Clean more often if the unit is subject to the exposure of grease, dust, or high humidity.

Note:
L The handset can be left on the charger
without any ill effect on the battery.
L The battery level may not be displayed
correctly after you replace the battery. In this case, place the handset on the charger and let charge for 7 hours.
Registration
Register the handset to a KX-TG5622/KX­TG5632/KX-TG5633/KX-TG5652/KX­TG5672 base unit.
Important:
L If you accidentally assign another
handset’s extension number to the base unit, the originally assigned handset stops functioning. Confirm the extension number of a previously registered handset by placing it on the base unit or charger. Lift the handset from the charger before registering.
1 Base unit:
Select an unregistered extension number.
KX-TG5622:
Press and hold {1}, {2}, or {3} until the CHARGE indicator flashes.
KX-TG5632/KX-TG5633/KX-TG5652:
Press {SELECT} until the desired extension number (H1, H2, H3, or H4) is displayed on the base unit, then press and hold {CALL} until the CHARGE indicator flashes.
KX-TG5672:
Press and hold {INTERCOM} until the CHARGE indicator flashes, then press
{1}, {2}, or {3}. L After the CHARGE indicator starts
flashing, the rest of the procedure must be completed within 1 minute.

Headset (optional)
Connecting a headset to the handset allows hands-free phone conversations. Please use only a Panasonic KX-TCA60/ KX-TCA86/KX-TCA88HA/KX-TCA91/KX­TCA92/KX-TCA98 headset. See page 2 for ordering information.

L To switch to the handset speakerphone,
press {s}. To return to the headset, press {C}.

Press {OK}, then wait until the handset beeps.
